Hi guys,

I am looking for tips on earning crypto using my programming & web development skills? I have worked as professional web developer for 5 years and currently in my first year of a computer science degree so I am proficient in C programming language with some python knowledge.

Could anybody suggest ways I could possibly earn some crypto over the next few months? I'd really like to earn maybe 2000-3000 euro before June to buy a car for the summer, does anybody think it's doable?

I wouldn't say that it's doable if you haven't sell your programming skills before. Although, you can try selling them as a freelancer. A site that offers you selling/buying such service is Fiverr, but it doesn't accept crypto last time I checked. Again, if you're new to this market you'll find many difficulties. It may take you months to start having a good earning, especially if we're talking about cryptos only.

hmmm skilled technical work is not valued these days? as I said I have 5 years web dev experience and have made money selling websites but now know python and c, I thought maybe there would be like fiverr for crypto jobs or something..

It's not a matter of skill. It's a matter of demand. If you look up on fiverr you can find many people that are willing to sell python/c/c++/<put whatever programming language you want here>. Still, though, if you're good at something, you'll be recognized.  ;)

maybe you should develop something that can be your portfolio first.
I recommend something related to crypto and blockchain.

@MeBender, I think the Dapp's are still a hot topic. You should look into that if you want to get into the world of crypto-related programming.

As far as I know, you have to have significant initial capital to make a profit from triangular arbitrages. Especially for 2000-3000 € of profit.

Maybe I am late to the show, but I see that there's something not written here and may be of help.
Bitcoin is money. Searching for job should not be necessarily tied to Bitcoin or crypto, since it restricts the choices greatly.
This means that from any day job (or extra job!) you get you can convert (or not) the extra money into Bitcoin.

Imho you should not rely on a crypto job. You should do this kind of jobs in your free time, since they may or may not pay off (and in many cases you may be "paid" by donations).

For OP. If you want also to look for clients within this forum, you can. I already tried to do some coding gigs with a fellow member here before.

My advice if you want to start in this forum is you create your Announcement thread, or your own thread showcasing your talent & skills. Just like creating your portfolio, but within this forum and within a thread.
Additionally, much better if you provide some of your projects before that may be proven your skills and plus points to your clients.
Btw, you have quite good skills and experience, you can easily find clients.

Hi there! Pat yourself on the back for trying to market your skills. The willingness to do something is the first step. Now here's my advice for you:

As you are still a student I wouldn't rush to get paid for the technical skills. Instead try working for free on projects that interests YOU correlated with what you want to become in the future. There are literally infinite options in the IT world from AI, RPA to blockchain, robotics, web development, network infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc. If you don't know yet what domain you are passionate about I suggest you study at least the basics about each one of them then try to focus on what attracts you. Do projects for yourself/your portfolio as others suggested in the thread.

Regarding your goal of making 2-3k euro to buy a car, I suggest you get a part-time job that pays well and let's you make your own schedule. You can wash cars, be a delivery guy  (foodpanda, glovo if those services are available in your country), bartend, be a waiter, etc. Make sure that you actually need that car or else you'll feel sorry for all that work&time spent.

That's a great list. I didn't know about most of the platforms listed there.
So far I had a modest experience with BitGigs. I applied a couple of times and I did one job. Everything went smoothly

You want crypto, but you measure in Euros.
If you want to earn crypto, why don't you set the goal in the same currency?
And if you want money fast, why don't you tell straight you want Euros?

Dropdown your portfolio to impress companies that would like to hire you. Your skillset is one of the in-demand skills needed by most companies.
It's easier and quicker if you'll also leave your resume or LinkedIn or any of the same.

There is no such section here.  Almost all highly ranked, trusted and well-known members here have their own thread which lists all the projects they have done or managed.  And it also states what services they offer.  You can also read feedbacks from other members who have already tested their service.  So yeah, it's just like a portfolio.

So OP should also put or inform the skills and achievements of his job online so that employers who want to hire him immediately have an idea. He can also leave other details where he can be contacted other than this in the forum if he is not online here.
