But no seriously, what would you do with 10 exabytes of storage on your local computer? I need to know for a project.

Just dump whatever data I have, even though I will be having more than 90% free storage because you know 10 exabytes is equaled to 10 Billion Gigabytes. ???

Pictures and videos with friend and family are made of wonderful memories. Seeing an old video or picture of yourself will make you smile because you will remember the day like it was yesterday. If i habe such memory space on my local pc, i will dump videos and pictures there so that in the future, i will have memories to look back to.

10 exabytes of storage? I would probably try to download the entire Internet so I can use it offline.  ;D

Download every episode of Mama's Family twice.

Nothing rather than be me and have comfort about the things i store since space can't be the issue.

And you could also go the length of sharing downloaded contents for money though, its a business that works more in underdeveloped and in exposed localities and its a business for a struggling person.

I would use it like a google drive, I'm just running out of space.

In fact, I have a huge database (movies, TV shows, books (I have about a million now), maps, courses, lectures, pictures, etc. And my 10 TB will soon be completely exhausted. So I would not mind from a new hard drive.

Use them in some business (as servers, as anonymous data storage, etc.), in order to receive passive income from this.

That will make me confused about what I want to add to my storage. Maybe I will let it like that and will decide to add something to that storage. Maybe I will transfer my phone data to that storage as a backup. But I can not think now if I have that big storage. Give me more time to add something to that storage ;D

Mine would be to filter out and download lots the good/important stuff from the internet and throw the bad away.
I wonder where the good stuff can be found though....it will likely be rare to find. Good & bad usually get mixed up

Why would I need that amount of storage? I don't know what to do with that storage, I cannot even full the storage of my 1TB HDD.

I have a 5TB of storage and I drastically lack free space. LOL!

You must be doing a lot of things and you needed a huge space. Yeah, do some cleaning because a lot of junk files are just getting in our drives.

well its obvious. create a upload service for 10million people to buy 1terrabyte cloud store for:
$0.10 each and become a millionare
$1 each and become a multimillionaire
$100 and become a billionaire

That's a great idea. I just wonder what kind of infrastructure you need for such a setup?

A couple of years ago I was involved in a project calculating square roots of specific numbers and pi (and other rather dense calculations) to 51+ billion places and similar.  The data files run to 50 Mb (minimum) but need far more during the calculation stages (hence the 10 Exabytes would come in handy).  I had an external 2Tb HD that was being used to give my PC (that crashed late last year) a leg up with storing the end results.  You only need a PC's CPU and the ability to run the program for hours/days/weeks until you calculate the solution.

I was posting the results (the hash at any rate) via my Twitter Feed and also via https://live.blockcypher.com/btc/embed-data/ into the block chain with the same data near simultaneously.

if i had so much space / data available on my computer i would use it to set up slots and mine burstcoin that is mined via hdd

I don't know if i can fill all of those but for sure Pictures and videos of my whole family and friends will be inside for usage.
but my 1 terabyte storage for the last 3 years is almost 500gig used up to now , meaning that 10 exabytes will be filled by me for the next 50 years  ;D ;D ;D

You can now purchase twelve terabyte USB drives on eBay for fifty dollars (with free postage too!) so I'm curious how large a server you'd need to store that amount of data?  Also would it come with off-site backups?  What sort of size facility would you need to just handle backups?
