Title: The Graph thoughts
Post by: Konfusioon on March 01, 2021, 12:00:04 PM
Hello

I would like to ask that what is the general opinion about The Graph as a currency for long-term investment? I have stalked The Graph-s reddit page for quite some time and people there are a bit too optimistic about it becoming the next google.

Also sorry if this discussion has been here before. I used the search function before starting this thread but unfortunately both the terms "the" & "graph" come up quite often in cryptocurrenc

Whatever the extent of Reddit's current contribution, I'm not sure to say that it will be the next Google. The reason is quite simple, there are still some countries that when accessing Reddit must use a VPN (including the country where I live), because of the blocking factor. while to be the next Google, the most important thing is that it can be accessed by everyone in the world. except in North Korea, let alone Reddit, they even made their own Google. yeah because their country is not friendly to foreign countries. they are too overprotective.

I think you misunderstood my question. Perhaps I didn't phrase it quite well enough. My question was what does the community thing about The Graph coin. Some people (in Reddit, mostly) claim that it has the potential to become as essential or as large as google within the crypto world. The way I understood it your answer focused more on Reddit's own potential of becoming google.

Lots of regs at /biz/ over at 4chan seem to love it and it also looks like they’re gunning for it to be the next LINK...  LINK in case some of you didn’t know, just went up and ripped thru the bear market like it wasn’t happening.  Lol.  I bet lots of 16 year olds got rich from it.

Most of the people will say that the graph we have right now in crypto market is not so good news for us because of the red marks. But I disagree with them because they are just looking on the current scenario which is the wong way of analyzing and interpreting the graph. Don't just focus on the declining part of the market, check also how much it increased since the surge started.

Maybe WSBians are spreading that type of hype about Graph. But, it's true that Graph has live products before launching their own GRT token in this market which have been used by top crypto projects like Uniswap, synthetix, decentraland. TBH, they might want to say like this: "If centralized system has Google on top, than decentralized system has Graph on top". After all, it's better to DYOR before being into fomo.

Heard about this recently.  Is this just another project that is going to mean something?  Its like a brand new thing like people making up coins or something...

People in reddit page probably advertising that coin reason they're saying it will become the next Google within the crypto world.. Well its very obvious actually,, infact if the coin literally have potential to comes that times, probably it will not just exploded on reddit, wherein the in whole Internet also.. I suggest make more research mate don't just rely on what you saw in other pages.. Better to seek for more im order to gain specific information . Regards

People who comment on Reddit are so optimistic because they wanted to fulfill their dreams of becoming millionaires and invest in a second Google, but at the eary stage. The truth is, this is a normal project that may or may not work. Whether you want to take the risk and invest in it is up to you, but I advise you to be very careful.

Never heard of it honestly. And a quick look at it tells me to stay away. I can tell you it's not the first who wants to challenge Google/Facebook/Twitter for social media supremacy.

The closest anyone has come from a crypto industry is Brave browser and BAT token. And it's still not doing as well as it should be because well, Google is still king and still the easiest!

Thank you for your input. Could you clarify what are the signs that tell you to keep away from it?

Me too, until I got to know the cyber what do you think if a team put out their own money to develop an idea, I learned that the developer has spent over $2M on development costs so far. F* ckgoogle is their movement and feel it: https://cyber.page/brain/cyber-vs-corp

But that's not a problem, because the way today's major social tools will be difficult to be challenged from a new product, new products are created to perfection and solve emerging problems old tools.

Sounds pretty cool but yes,,, I myself admit even I joined a project before in 2019 that was supposed to break the monopoly of Google and Youtube and make people connect with advertisers and designers all together and earn directly.

This was Momentum protocol. No shame to say I supported them and they basically exit scammed (Still alive but no communication and just changed everything not caring about their actual supporters).

There is a problem,,, but a new token will not solve it.
