Title: MIOTA/IOTA coins.
Post by: RUCKUSII on March 02, 2021, 02:37:20 AM
Hello, I at some point in 2017 had purchased $1500.00 in MIOTA/IOTA coins via Bitfenix, is there at all any means to claim my coins from IOTA that I purchased through BITFENIX since they had ceased business in the UNITED STATES?? Any input would be much appreciated Thank You.

You meant Bitfinex right?

All you can do right now is to simply contact them and try to talk them out of sending you your money: https://cs.bitfinex.com/

OK, is there anyway that I can get my coins? IE on some type of wallet or possibly on a different cryptocurrency trader? and did you have any recommendations? Thank you very much.

There's no magical way of getting your funds back using whatever software or website. Your funds are on Bitfinex, so you can only get your funds from Bitfinex.

And like I said, go and contact them: https://cs.bitfinex.com/

I think the best thing you can do right now if first keep your coins in a noncustodial wallet. Either software wallet or hardware wallet like Ledger Nano (This is a much better option).

For software wallets you can download and use;

1. Trinity wallet - http://trinity.iota.org
2. Trust wallet (supports only the TRC10 token of IOTA)

If they no longer supports the market in your country, just follow the suggestion about contacting the support. They will allow you to withdraw it.

Do you have a ledger wallet? it supports IOTA.
