You are in the right place. This forum will be your best resource, but the problem is information are all over the forum and you will need to spend time to find that you need. You can also ask questions in the different boards like mining related in mining (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0) section, technology related things in Bitcoin technical support (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=4.0), wallet related things are in Development & Technical Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=6.0).

All you need is to give regular time on the forum if you are seriously considering gathering good knowledge about bitcoin. At-least you will not be misguided if you know who to listen.

The first thing a person feels is from his curiosity about the name that often appears "bitcoin" which will be a psychological stimulus for someone.
Most of us feel curious when we often hear from people around us, from literature, information and advertisements. then to vent her curiosity she would seek it out. so it is with bitcoin. it all started by word of mouth.

It is based on a person's psychology in overcoming his curiosity about something.

that's the beginning

What do you want to learn?
Why do you want to learn it?

If I asked you:
"Where will someone who has no knowledge of automobiles start from to learn?"

Would you point me towards information about what an automobile is?
Would you point me towards information about what the different types of automobiles are?
Would you point me towards information about the history of automobiles?
Would you point me towards information about how the concept of an internal combustion engine?
Would you point me towards information about electric motors?
Would you point me towards information about what an automatic transmission accomplishes and how?
Would you point me towards information about how to operate an automobile (start engine, accelerate, brake, steer, etc)?
Would you point me towards information about how to maintain an automobile (change oil, rotate tires, replace brake pads, etc)?
Would you point me towards information about how to diagnose and repair automobile issues?

It's a VERY open-ended question. Same with Bitcoin.

Without a better understanding of what you DO know, and what you are trying to accomplish, there are a lot of different places to start.

This is a good list of links @ OP, of course after learning the basic, you would then need to decide whether you wanted to invest on it, trade or mine it.  You can find technical discussion with regards to mining in this forum's section : Mining (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0)  and knowledge on trading here (https://www.babypips.com/)   or learn  and discuss different views with the forum members about the trend of Bitcoin on Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.0).  You can also get hint of the price movement and predictions here (https://www.tradingview.com/).

There are lot's of places you can learn about bitcoin and even the current place you are which is bitcointalk.org is also a nice where you can learn more about bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, you can also watch tutorial videos on Youtube which is also a nice place where you can learn about bitcoin which you will be able to see videos on how it is happening  and you can follow there procedures and also learn. But the best way which I believe you can really learn about bitcoin is when you know someone that knows about bitcoin physical I believe that's the best kind of person that you can meet to teach you how to trade physical and I believe you will learn more from the person than any other source.

I'm taking no as the keyword. So I guess you start from answering the what. You would want to know something you've got zero knowledge about, you would probably start to know what it is, right?

So, here: https://bitcoin.org/en/. That's a mere 1 minute and 37 seconds to answer the most basic of question. Explore the site for more. You can trust it.

All of us started here with a little to no knowledge at all. I will just share what I've done to learn at least the basics of Bitcoin.

I started learning here in the forum. Tried to browse at the Beginners and Help section, our Local Board since there are some good topics at that time etc. I've learned so much here in the forum. Aside from the forum, Youtube helped me learn more. I watched documentaries about Bitcoin and crypto in general at that time, searched some of the basic terminologies and what are the basics of Bitcoin and how to do it. Articles from other sites helped me too and I will add as well the people who answered all of my questions when I'm still learning.

You might do what I've done or you may do what the other users said here. Overall, whatever advice you will take from us will help you with your crypto journey. Welcome :).

Yes, like I did when I was a beginner and I can learn all that here and most importantly, not lazy to read and have the curiosity and desire to find out what is needed and in this forum is a very appropriate place to learn.
and besides that you can open sites and articles about bitcoin or crypto and much more information that can be obtained accurately and reliably, it all depends on your efforts to get it and study it well.

You can start at the Beginners & Help (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=39.0)(Click this to go to Beginners & Help) if you don't want to leave the forum, you can ask newbie questions there or you can view other questions there about almost anything in this forum. Bitcoin Discussion on the other hand is general talks about bitcoin which will be difficult for you as there are tons of shitpost in this board and trolls are a pretty strong users in this board so tread carefully.

You came to the right place and you just need to do some thorough research about Bitcoin and the answer will just be here in this site. Just type in the search bar what you want to know about it and other cryptocurrencies and you’ll get the answers. Good luck though and enjoy learning about the cryptocurrencies.

  • Bitcoin - Information and resources (Jameson Lopp) (https://www.lopp.net/bitcoin-information.html)
  • If you like videos: Bitcoin for beginners (Aantonop - the author of some famous blockchain, bitcoin books). (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1si5ZWLgy0&list=PLPQwGV1aLnTuN6kdNWlElfr2tzigB9Nnj)

In my opinion, it is better (if not always) begin and stick with reading. Reading books (even with ebooks) can help you more easily to bookmark important points for your need. You can search and re-read them later.

This can not be done with videos that have their own advantages with some visual guides and steps if you need something to follow. Especially, if you fail with few attempts after reading and apply guides from books.

You can look or visit the Beginners and Help boards so that you can have some idea how to start feeding your mind about cryptocurrency.

We are now living in a world where digital currencies are existing and most of the countries are adopting or engaging on it.

There are a lot of information here in this forum and it depends on you on how courageous you are in reading those topics. Take your time and don't rush things, also don't be anxious if you are just starting and you want make your money grow immediately because in cryptocurrency, there's no such thing like that.

Apart from the excellent suggestions above please make sure to read some of the suggestions made by investopedia.

Off the list, you can go for The Book of Satoshi which is around 300 page book and in pretty simple language. Honestly I have not read it completely but had it's kindle edition and read it in between

Quote
KEY TAKEAWAYS
"Mastering Bitcoin" is a useful primer.
"Cryptoassets" takes the investor view.
"The Book of Satoshi" is a mystery story.
"Cryptocurrency" explores the wider field.
"Bitcoin From Beginner to Expert" explains the technology.
"Digital Gold" tells the origin story.
Reference: Top Bitcoin Books (https://www.investopedia.com/articles/personal-finance/092916/top-6-books-learn-about-bitcoin.asp)

However,

I believe that you will learn lot more from your experience rather than following the pages or reading the books. They are fine for the start up feel of bitcoin and blockchain technology.

If you even follow this forum and keep reading all the time then you can just become good at crypto world. You gonna love the journey here for sure.  :P

I am suggesting the same thread since you are here in this forum, start from the basics, and also, if you want to know more except from this forum there are now a lot of websites that discusses about bitcoin and posts updates about it. I also learned different terms I don't understand as a newbie in the beginner's thread, and also, you can also ask what you wanted to know in that, of course don't believe all that you read. it is important to cross reference always.

I can say we have no problem if we wants to know about cryptocurrency, so at list we have like three or four things to consider and have it in minds as a major concern,
A• The person will start with intensive research of bitcoin online,
B• At least watching about cryptocurrency via YouTube's videos
C• Downloading Bitcoin articles or Bitcoin textbooks
D• Even with bitcointalk community, it's easy access to acquire all the necessary concept of bitcoin through observation and acceptance of correction or errors when research and obtain information thst are different from others

Shall in all ramifications it's base on personal interest via Bitcoin because even though all the information is been provide and you don't have Bitcoin  in mind you won't be to able actualize it, because everything work out by trust, believe and seriousness

Actually you are in the right forum in which you can start to learn a lot in this forum, just like me I've learned a lot about bitcoin and cryptocurrency here. Firstly I've start on asking some of my friends on how and what bitcoin is, as they are the one who introduce this bitcoin to me then eventually upon asking and doing some research about it, I've found this bitcoin forum out of no where and that's the time that I've frequently asking some questions to the people here.

I was also someone who didn't know about Bitcoin at that time. After hearing about Bitcoin and also this forum, I really go to this forum, digging more information, read board by board, and also read comment/post by post from the members. Then, reading and watching more about Bitcoin from reputable sources on Google and websites is also very useful. Moreover, YouTUbe where many people review About this.
And then, we can broaden our though and knowledge about Bitcoin time by time, to the cryptocurrencies, not only Bitcoin but also altcoins.

You are already in a right place to learn about cryptocurrency, honestly, before I have joined this forum, I only have. a bit of knowledge about cryptocurrency, I only know some basic terms but I don't know some purposes of it, that knowledge of money was only learned through the help of my friend who introduced me to the world of crypto and now I am glad because I have learned a lot of things here in this forum with the help of some senior member of this forum about some things like this.
1. How could I protect my crypto wallet from hackers.
2. How to avoid scammers and hackers.
3. Some good history about cryptocurrency.
4. Choosing a legit and reputable crypto exchange.
5. Good and reputable sportsbook.
and many more.

With the help of this forum and with the help of yourself as well, you can learn a lot of knowledge about crypto. If you have a hard time understanding some terms related to cryptocurrency then you can understand it through searching, we have a lot of information and knowledge that we could have with the ho of the internet. Just maximize its benefit to us.

All great suggestion so far and worth checking, but what I would ass is the importance of local boards and local groups of crypto enthusiasts that are willing to share their knowledge and experience and even thrust you into some interesting directions. At first, you should seek those people out (it can be here, a FB group, a Telegram group, whatever) and do not be afraid to ask them any question, however stupid it might seem. Their perspective on crypto and the immediate state of the market could be more helpful than just reading articles and books (but be sure to read them).

Also, check out Crypto Daily on YT, I love his channel and it helped me to understand some things better.
