Title: Suspicious accounts in Games and rounds Post by: Veleor on March 03, 2021, 05:29:42 PM During the competition in the "Roobet.com | Guess Total Wagers" thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5321028.0) Archive (https://archive.md/YzBTV), I noticed that some participants edited their answers synchronously, every time when a new answers appeared in the topic. Then I checked the registration dates of all accounts in the thread and found that several profiles were created on the same month. Moreover, the registration dates of several profiles differ by only a few minutes.
Registration dates (this profiles list is far from complete, most likely): February 02, 2017, 02:35:16 PM - peter0425 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=950952) February 09, 2017, 01:34:03 PM - TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316) February 09, 2017, 10:25:39 PM - MiteLit (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954482) February 09, 2017, 10:27:53 PM - ornabldo (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954483) February 09, 2017, 10:30:41 PM - BattalgiaTR (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954484) February 09, 2017, 10:38:48 PM - s0nicwall (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954486) February 28, 2017, 03:11:32 PM - franklin9 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=962656) February 28, 2017, 03:29:18 PM - USSENT (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=962666) February 28, 2017, 03:43:39 PM - OVOBTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=962678) It must be said that registration date alone is an insufficient argument to accuse someone of cheating, but this factor can be served as a motive for deeper investigation and finding other connections. TravelMug & peter0425 From the records about the winners of the last 20 "Roobet.com Guess Total Wagers" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0) contests, it is known that TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316) has won five contests and peter0425 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=950952) has won two. When I learning that TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316) and peter0425 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=950952) accounts were registered a week apart and they changed their passwords on the same day in June 2018 (https://archive.md/PiLSt), I decided to take a closer look at these profiles and it turned out that their owner(s) speaking Filipino [1] (https://archive.md/hmeVW)[2] (https://archive.md/6Lnyh). Sometimes TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316) and peter0425 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=950952) were registering in signature campaigns, within a few minutes: 1. Digital Developers Fund (DDF) Signature and Avatar Campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1997132.msg19899428#msg19899428) (Archive (https://archive.md/CEF1N#selection-3005.0-3005.3)) 2. Enigma Catalyst - Build Your Crypto Hedge Fund | Signature campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2045388.msg20584839#msg20584839) (Archive (https://archive.md/EJZ3b#selection-3359.0-3359.4)) 3. Social Signature & Avatar Campaign (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2075036.msg20730532#msg20730532) (Archive (https://archive.md/FME3S#selection-3715.0-3715.2)) Thoughts about connections between TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316) and peter0425 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=950952) have been in the air for quite some time. In 2017 there was the investigation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1702409.msg23952038#msg23952038) of campaign manager DarkStar_ about these accounts. Can't be 100% sure that both of these accounts belong to the same owner, but much probably they may be coordinated together. It is worth to note that five profiles from the list above, including TravelMug (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=954316), were registered on the same day, on February 9, 2017. Other profiles from the list have also a lot of similarities. It would be interesting to know the opinions of other users, especially those who participated in these contests. I'd vote against that, but it's up to Hhampuz.Quote It would be interesting to know the opinions of other users, especially those who participated in these contests. I've joined many rounds, but never won (even though the winner gets picked based on my data (https://loyce.club/other/roobet.html)).Title: Re: Suspicious accounts in Games and rounds Post by: Stalker22 on March 04, 2021, 04:02:31 PM That's interesting research, Veleor. It is worth noting that both TravelMug and peter0425 are posting in the Philippine Local section.
I think Aneggeers (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1021374) also belongs to this list. FortuneJack username "lecrunch" was first posted by Aneggeers, then deleted and re-posted as OVOBTC.
