From when I start using and working here on Bitcointalk my opinion on airdrop was not good because from what I understand you get probably 1% or less.

Now I want to try applying or getting airdrops today.

1. Did you used airdrops that you got and used them for trading?  Did you earn from it?

I always say this sorry for the question it may be a noob question but please understand I never tried airdrops some of you might say or reply that my question is searchable on google or something. I trust (60 40 trust issue )those that I read there on different websites but it's different when you know you can ask and get replies from real legit people that are you guys, who know a lot about airdrops and experience getting airdrops.

I don't have skills to investigate projects and choose good airdrops from many airdrops. I know some websites to get free announcements for crypto events and airdrops.

I earned some but the good airdrops I earned are from my luck.

I avoid airdrops from projects that I have to download wallets and install them on my computer if they are new projects.

I had a few joined airdrops before but it wasn’t worth it. Not everything is legit that you really have to get, sometimes you just forget that you really have joined like that. But in the bounty, I have decent acquisitions that I have taken advantage of. With airdrops, you don't have much to do but fill up and submit the form as an application. With the bounty, you have tasks to do in the campaign to join. You need to be updated on the development of their coin or project so that you also know when you should sell it to make money. By participating in such, I also avoid those who have the required KYC verifications to receive rewards especially if they are not yet in the CMC or market.

These questions are okay because everyone has their own different experiences with the joined airdrops or bounty. Maybe the others are also lucky enough to join the airdrops.

first time i be a bounty hunter i just do all the bounty campaign and got paid but i dont know how to sell it , but im very lucky that have friend who can teach me to get profit from the bounty campaign or airdrop now i can get money
did i used them for trading? it depend how much money left in my wallet if i need money i will take it if not i will trade it to ethereum or binance and let them grow
but sometime i trade it if i see good coin

yap i did but not much as the people who do it for a long time but i think that much enough for me

Back in the day there used to be a lot of airdrops for new altcoins. I remember receiving some XLM and immediately exchanged it for Bitcoin. It was not a large amount, only like $30 but if I had held it for a while maybe it would've been a few hundred dollars.

During the big ICO hype of 2017 there was some decent projects that were doing airdrops. Nowadays ICO's aren't that interesting and most airdropped tokens are almost worthless but you can still get good earnings from bounties where the requirements aren't too difficult to fulfill.

If you ever plan to, do not participate on airdrops you see on twitter with anonymous teams that simply requires you to fill up google forms, follow/retweet, and join telegram. I can tell you now that about 99% of those types of airdrops are crap. What you should seek are drops that are backed by projects with legit teams. Those that have been around for months. You can also participate in drops supported by exchanges.

Straight answer is No.

I took part in a few airdrops and at that time some scam coins were operating here with shill account promoting their airdrops too. Luckily for me, I didnt take part in those. Even then those who did never got a chance to sell those coins.

Cheap marketing was obtained by the owners though - an easy method to fool a bunch of newbies in following their project which is nothing but a cashgrab and use their efforts to sell their own tokens and get rich before vanishing. That is what airdrops have been all about.

Previously, when I received the airdrop I used to sell 50% and keep 50% to wait for the price increase, but the experience is that it is advisable to sell all the aridrop and convert it to good altcoins in the market.

Around 2017 I participated in some airdrops and they actually bring in quite a good income, however such aridrop are very few and most airdrops are garbage.

Since I start joining this forum and have a knowledge about crypto currency, I never encountered or receive any good amount from airdrop, project, but my friends told me that they earn big amount of money from airdrop. I  think airdrop before is good but now alot of airdrop is not successful or in short we can't earn big amount of money now in just joining airdrop, but yes that's my personal experience maybe its different in your experience.

honestly, i don't make much money from airdrops, and I'll probably use it personally when I do. besides, I am earning from crypto for the first time due to the airdrop. however, finding a legit airdrop is very difficult for now, and when I get it, mostly I use it for personal purposes and rarely use it for capital in the business.

Well, for me, I've participated in many airdrops but I can categorically tell you that there have never been any airdrop I participated in that I got any money from, atleast, not any I can remember, but if you speak of bounties, bounties campaign are much better than airdrop cus personally, Ive made some quite good money from bounties even though most of the bounties I participated in don't always end well, but those that end well sometimes, am always able to make some tangible money from them.

Based on my experience, I have participated a lot in different projects and participated in the airdrop, where it was possible and profitable. And when it came time to receive rewards from airdrops, the percentage was so small that it was very funny. So since then I am no longer involved in air distribution because it is a waste of time. In my opinion, participation in the airdrop is not very profitable and there is no point in participating.

Forks can be also considered as airdrops so I should say that I've earned from them because I have dumped it immediately. Despite that I don't like them to hold, I've got free money from those. Well, there are still some few that you can make good money from these airdrops but if you have a lot of time following most of them, I think from 1 out of 10, you can have good free money from those. But that doesn't mean that you'll get to earn from them from time to time.

I use the airdrops to sell at once because some airdrops can rise higher and pass the initial price at the ICO or IEO or the price at the first stage. I earn by coincidentally because I traded on the DEX some time ago, so I get that airdrops and sold them before the price down a lot.

Yes, I earn good money from the airdrops, and I think we will see the other airdrops in the future, and I am sure that many projects will give the airdrops to the participants or other people.

You can follow the airdrops programs, and I think the qualification to get the airdrops is not too difficult to get.

sometimes the work on collecting airdrop token helps with the beginning terms of investment as investors to measure the movement of price before to goes with the further extensive to put of funds and resource with the investment project plan.

In late 2017 I earned good money from the airdrops but after that, I filled several airdrops but I hardly receive 1-2% of airdrop coins that are also almost worth some pennies so I left participating in the airdrops now I joined only some limited bounty airdrops from the official group or social media page otherwise I don't waste my time in participating in airdrops because I also afraid of phishing links too and we can't click every link truthfully.

Airdrop is about rewarding users for simple actions that help new projects gain popularity.  In most cases, these actions are related to the social activity of the participants, and it seems to me that it is now difficult to make money on this, since there are many scam projects and a lot of bots involved in such distributions.

actually, I don't really like airdrops. but last year to this year it seemed to be good news for airdrop hunters because a lot of what they were doing was making money.
I myself followed the airdrop of blockchain and some of the big exchanges. for a new project to be honest I avoided it and thought it would be a waste of my time.
something that I accidentally also got from UniSwap. because I only trade on the exchange without knowing there is an event they share.
I was lucky to be a part of the UniSwap event some time ago.

I don't participate in airdrops anymore but in the past I have participated in lot of airdrops unfortunately there was no single airdrop which is rememberable for me all of them were worthless and scam and that's main reason I don't participate in airdrops I think participating in airdrops is just a waste of time.

I have tried a couple of airdrops but I haven't really dealt with it entirely. I just try to register here and there with some reputable sources but only a few were successfully redeemable. My latest one was from Binance IIRC. It's the TWT drop that I didn't expect. It's not bad to get some free money for that registering.

What I don't like is sending out information or something. That's a red flag IMO.

The only decent airdrops I got (if you can classify them so) are BCH & BTG. It ended up being a fair whack of money. I didn’t get BSV as I sold all the BCH way before that fork.

Yes I did, I earn much money from airdrop and last worth airdrop is safepal, only install wallet on your mobile phone you can earn more than $300 and you can get more if active looking for many refferral, I think is not hard for joining an airdrop, better all airdrop look worth you have to join and never lazy for joining airdrop project.

but some of the current airdrops do require our personal information. especially related to applications and platforms that are already running.
you have to think about it, to get the money that is not that big you will definitely not need a guarantee in the form of our personal documents.
because of that I also very rarely participate in an airdrop campaign.

of course i did many times which was cool , maybe because there was some legit airdrop back then. now its very difficult to see a legit airdrop and also earn good from them. thats why many people stopped doing it. you can watch for some popular airdrops from the real and existing projects just like XLM did through keybase and bread.

the same as what I experienced, then since then I stopped participating in the Airdrop program, focused on the world of bounties which is much more promising and far more certain. I don't know like spending a long time just hunting Airdrops that don't know where it ends, it's very relieving. as a result after what I fought for and achieved from the bounty results gave a very different point of view. I continue to focus and try to give the best in the rest of my time to work on bounties in this forum.

YES, XLM did some airdrops in the past. although it requires our KY documents, I am sure the participants will not hesitate either.
but unfortunately, I missed a lot of airdrops which are clearly producing at this time. take a look at some of the airdrops like at UNI and DEGO. many have benefited.

Currently, PHORE, the project that I support in my signature campaign will also do an airdrop for PHR holders.
I didn't expect much, but since I have PHR on the exchange, I just need to send my PHR to a private wallet to take part in the airdrop.

I didn’t use my air drop earnings to trade, I trade with funds from other places ... trade is risky and to compensate it is necessary to have good capital and I didn’t earn a lot of money from aidrops. not to mention that in my case I received payments from airdrop 3 months later and the second time I participated I only received 5 months later so I wouldn't even be able to take these funds coming from airdrop to make a trade


I don't earn a lot of money with airdrop, at most it was $800 out of 5 airdrop that I participated, I had to wait a long time for each airdrop to pay me. definitely participating in airdrops requires patience

Firstly,it's easy to get more good and high value token at free of cost from the airdrop.Some people don't know this one.They only work in bounty or signature campaign and earned a token.Their are lot of bounty work to earn more tokens.Sometimes the bounty won't pay at the end to the bounty hunters.

I don't joined airdrop anymore since that I getting worthless tokens or less amount from it and some are just a scams. It's rarely to find that gives a worthy tokens from airdrops. It's better to participate some bounties like signature or social media campaigns..

You have to be aware that 99% of the airdrops that are listed on those airdrop sites will be worth nothing or next to nothing in the end. So better don't expect anything out of it.
Also most airdrops today aren't even real airdrops because you have to follow their twitter account join their telegram group or other stuff.
I heard Nem did an airdrop a few years ago here in this forum and that airdrop is now worth a real big amount but i don't know concrete numbers.

Most of those airdrops now are nothing but turning into scam, unlike before where joining sometimes gives decent amount of rewards
tokens that you are capable in selling with decent amount in fiat.

It's tough to find project that are going to provide real value, most are going to stuck inside your wallet, worse developers / bounty managers ain't pay you anything.

You're just feeling a good part of this airdrop when you're into a pretty good time for crypto, when everything is so good and profitable, projects will not regret a small amount so you can advertise them more but don't forget, many participants have complained for a long time about airdrops, they did not receive anything through the airdrop for months of effort. I got into a lot of such airdrops, those tokens became garbage, every time I look at it, I hate the airdrop one more part, bounty with the amount paid per week is probably more suitable for me

Most airdrops are fake only 5% Airdrops are real which give us Reward but that Reward is not of any use because eth gas fee is high approximately we need 25$ extra for make any swap or transaction. So Many Airdrops are not of any use. I suggest you to work on bounties you will get high benefit from bounties.

Yes, there were lots of good airdrops in 2017-2018 I gave participated in and got good income from them. What about nowadays there were several drops I have participated in and got not bad income from them as well. Of course it is not so many good drops where you can get something starting from 100$. But they exist. It is drops from good projects, exchanges or platforms with working product. And of course it depends on your requirements how much do you want to get. May be 100$ is too few for someone, and may be 20$ is goid for another one.

If it's about those airdrops where participant needs to do some tasks for few tokens which is done by those projects which are going to do any ICO, than there is a small chance to get reward and by chance, any project become legit and distribute , than none can earn huge bucks without any refarals.
On the other hand, anyone can be benefited from those airdrops which is done because of hardfork or distributed to thank community just like Uniswap did. Those are now on great profit who got airdrop of 400 UNI from uniswap as it's totall value is now $12k. Also, MurAll team "Ticker: Paint" (it's a new project where anyone can make their own NFT) recently distributed a huge amount of airdrop for those who hodl any NFT on their personal ethereum wallet. As a result, airdrop like these will benefit if anyone get themselves as an eligible participants for those. ;)

Good you never tried. You just saved yourself a lot of time. Almost 99% of the airdrops are not worth collecting. You will be accumulating dusts and shit coins or tokens that aren't worth anything. Some airdrops requires you to do some sort of Identity verification. Lol, don't do it if you don't want to be a victim of identity theft. Who knows how they store your identity/sensitive information. I am pretty much sure after scamming their investors, they make some extra money by selling your IDs on the blackmarket.

TL;DR: You have to be extremely lucky to find a good airdrop. Most airdrops are not worth collecting. Some will end up selling your data in exchange of few beer money.

It isnt bad to deal with airdrops as long you dont shell out any cash nor giving out some documents for KYC's.

I still remember when I first joined the forum, airdrops were a fast and easy way to get money and at that time there were many airdrop projects that were really legit, such as the sugar, equal, swissborg airdrop projects and also some coin airdrops that are still in the market today , but now airdrops are no longer an attraction for participants to get money because most of the current airdrops only lead to scams and even if there are legitimate airdrops, of course the pay is not much at this time.

I have participated in many airdrops so far. But more than 99% of airdrops did not sent my payment. The few payments I received are again of such low value that it doesn't meet deposit and withdrawal fee. So I no longer participate in any airdrops. I think it's just a waste of time.

Do not even bother, I have never done airdrops or anything similar but you do not need to do something to know it does not work, some people back in the day got some success with airdrops but this was when the interest in icos and other projects was sky high, this is not the case anymore and with good reason as almost all of those projects turned out to be scams.

Things are even worst now and many even ask for KYC or even for some money so you can receive the airdrop, this is a straight scam, they are trying to get your documents to sell them on the black markets or scam you and get your coins that actually have value.

I joined some airdrops, but it was mostly just nonsense and scam. Very unlikely to earn income from airdrops. Maybe out of the many airdrops
there are only a few who pay. But to date, I have produced little from airdrop. So I'm not very interested in airdrops. Maybe if there is a promising
airdrop I will also think to follow it, but it is difficult to analyze whether or not the airdrop is worth it.

Way back 2017-2018 yes I earned and got some good coins in airdrop but starting I think 2020 onwards, I'm not interestednin airdrop anymore because most of the time it is not legit.

Truly speaking from my point of view, nowadays airdrops are not worthy. It is a very little amount. Many times, even transaction costs are more than the airdropped amount. This is because a lot of users are getting benefits out of it. Its thousands or more users participate in airdrops.
I take part in airdrops if I am doing bounty for the same project.

For 5 years here in cryptocurrency I think less than 10 airdrops campaign in which I had joined before and only once
I got earned from them then the rest didn't pay me, until now honestly speaking, I still ignored joining in any of the airdrops
programs, due to its just really a waste of time.

You don't have to think about it, just be aware that you shouldn't do so much of an effort and risking your personal information for a couple of bucks. It's not worth it for sure. You have to be careful about what you give out as well. I feel FOMO in the early days with the first airdrops but it's gone now. Those quality things.

It is better to only join recognized and established projects, coins/tokens.  You really have nothing to look forward to and be lucky with the unknown alts.  Just like on twitter or other social media giveaways, almost everyone is just fooling around just for the sake of increasing their followers.  It's also easy to change the name.  After joining, no one is willing to verify if what they are doing is really legit.

The last time I joined was back in 2018 and most of those tokens are not even listed to any exchange, they are just fooling us. The tokens airdropped today wouldn't be listed to any exchange if the swapping platform doesn't exist today. I hope I could try joining airdrops if there will be a good one and will not ask for an email or asks us to download app.

i think that all of us that here in the crypto space did already earned a good money in airdrop but not now at this point because airdrops are like a typical crypto market , they do also have thier own bullish and bearish times and id say that its been a long time since we experience a bearish time in terms of airdrop but lets dont stop believin . maybe airdrops now where like an altcoin too where people keeps on asking if there will be another new altcoin season and thankfuly it was finaly given after a very long time

Yes but it is not a lot or a lot, the most surprising aridrop is uniswap and until recently I have also seen new projects that do very valuable airdrops and the users are completely profitable. I don't have a specific tool because it usually shows up on the media I'm following, but not all of them are valuable. However, it is also a good fortune to spend for life.

for first question, yes I used airdrops and use them for investing in other new project and trade it when the right moment come. I don't trade on popular project for some reasons. For the second question, yes I earned some good money from airdrops but I don't know how to give you tips cause as we know there are more scam project than legit one for airdrop. I just join all the airdrop I knew and left it just like that, and when I got gem I'm so grateful of that. 

I have noticed that so far the Airdrop reward program is very minimal when compared to previous years. that thing makes me now no longer chasing airdrops. but in the previous year the airdrop prize was able to give me decent results, and I could use it for trading and other purposes.

This year the Ethereum network Airdrop gave me a lot of advantages. Besides that, in the last 2 months, we can also sell lots of Airdrops on the Binance Smart Chain network. well, although sometimes the estimates and the facts obtained are different, I do not mind. what is clear while we don't have to spend money to do it why not? In today's bull market, many airdrops appear every day. and when there is free time we can do it

I was active on joining airdrops back in 2016-2017 but most of them turned out to be a scam, there are a few which are profitable but they are rare to find. The recent airdrops especially from DeFI projects are really generous especially from UNISWAP which is now valued over hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Joining airdrops is fun, it can be worth it since it is free but good airdrops are difficult to find.

There aren't many airdrops that give me good income, but in every airdrop I always follow by doing research first.
The good airdrops last month were SFP and PAINT, maybe I was just lucky because I accidentally saved an NFT Item and got a number of tokens.

Yes, the point is that when scammers start to expand their work into Airdrops, that's when Airdrops are no longer in demand by many people because there are more scams than legitimate ones, even though before they enter the Airdrop program, many Airdrops are very legitimate and can be very profitable for those who follow it.

That NFT drop was really cool,,, I read about it and wish I had a rarible account but I do not know who can afford NFTs nowadays with the crazy prices they have been selling for! It feels impossible to get anything in my mind.

Also I do not want to just start opening hundreds of accounts everywhere just to get some hope of airdrops:)

Every airdrops that I tried before just tried to sell my info. One even attempted to put me into their phishing site and I am not fool enough to fall for it.
Even if one earned from it, it isn't for trading anymore. It will mostly turn into something that we call "shitcoins".

From my experience a lot of airdrop gives me money, my very first airdrop is XRP by holding BTC and Stellar by registering with my email and phone number it was 2014. And untill now still there is good airdrop, you just need to do some research.

A good income can be earned from airdrop and I earned it. I have been joining airdrop since 2018. There are thousands of Airdrop in the market. But they contain 90% scam airdrop. If you want to find a real Airdrop, you should go to the Real social media account of that Airdrop and check its announce whether they have started such an Airdrop. Check the details of the project and contact the admin through telegram to get information about it. By the way, some Airdrop have given a lot of profit. Hydro, energy, uniswap, TWT, SFP etc ...

I'm sure you earned a pretty good amount of money from these airdrops. Airdrop trend from 2017 is still relevant to this day because there are still very few airdrops where you can gain on. But as you said, the majority of airdrops are just scam or have no real value in the market even if it is airdropped in your wallet. Proper research can do but honestly, Having a lot of airdrop in crypto space right now, It's hard to detect most of them if they are real or not.

Airdrop was active income for most of freelancer in this world. Some may suffered to earn by the freelancer job.This kind airdrop helped to earn tokens with that token, they need to inverse their money in it. At the final, they can withdrew fully by the mean of their fiat. Participation in many airdrop will give more tokens.

I only had few airdrops and got tired of joining or participating because I didn't really get a good amount from it,
But as long as it is free and doesn't really need a KYCI think it is worth to try I am just too lazy and busy to look for new airdrops.
But I know some of my friends earn a great amount from it.

At the moment i haven't received any benefit from participating in the airdrops this year. So far i don't lose hope and continue to participate, i believe that soon my efforts will pay off. I think that the dydx project will distribute its tokens for activity on their exchange.

I honestly stopped joining airdrops because I don't think it's still worth it. I have joined a couple of airdrops these past few days but ended up getting paid with shitcoins again. It's just so disappointing because they would ask you to do lots of tasks but they won't pay you accordingly. I'm starting to see it as a waste of time. Airdrops these days are too different from the airdrops that we had before.

So far, I never got any good income from airdrops. And I also didn't focus on getting it. I personally consider that most of them are now not valuable. It is better to focus on others.
1. Because never got it, I never use it for trading. But if it is about from reward of signature campaign, yeah, this is very legit to use the reward for trading.

This is the best way to determine if your in-join airdrop is legit.  This is exactly what I do when I see or want to join an airdrop before, but I still look around from time to time but only a select few.  You need to conduct your research and not just rely on what you have read and shared by others.  You need to look at the official socmed accounts and sources so that time and effort are not wasted if the only thing you can join is useless and fake.

Look like the majority speaks that airdrop is not a good choice. Thanks for the response and I will be locking this now.
