Maybe Trying Mewconnect (Mew Wallet)? It's store your seed on your Mobile Storage (Encrypted & Safe) The private key won't leave your mobile, Android & IOS available and it's really cool app. I use it for around 2 years. Another one maybe trying Parity Light Client, Never use it but it was supposed to be "Electrum" of Eth with some features same with Full-Client.

Though I don't really understand the kind of wallet you mean but I did  recommend, (that's if you aren't already using it) trust wallet, I don't know if that's the kind of wallet you say you need, but I've been using trust wallet for years now and it's one of a kind, though I don't think it runs on pc, but you can also try monarch wallet, it runs on both mobile and pc, and the wallet is good too, you can search monarch on coinmarketcap, from there, you can get the website to download the wallet for whatever operating system of your choice.

Here are lists of Ethereum wallet:
1. Exodus = Desktop wallet
2. Mist = Desktop wallet
3. Edge = Mobile wallet
4. Atomic wallet = Desktop & Mobile wallet
5. Trust wallet = Desktop wallet

those are the lists that I have known, and I have used a few of them especially Exodus. That looks great.

I’m using MEW wallet and Trust wallet, so far my experience are great and I know these wallet are secured following their security features.

If you’re looking for an ETH wallet know your purpose first because if you’re going to receive tokens from bounties or from anywhere, know that not all ETH wallet are capable to receive ERC20 tokens so this should be your basis before creating ETH wallet.

My choices were mycrypto desktop and exodus. Mycrypto as giving you all of the abilities on its desktop wallet that didn't give by another wallet. I have been using this since it was getting released to the market and that's the best ethereum wallet so far. You can run it even in offline mode dude. Exodus is good but this lacks support to the ERC20 assets.
it's better to pick mycrypto as the best ethereum wallet so far.

For cold storage?  Why not purchasing a Hardware wallet if you want to hold it for a long-term purpose since you're talking about cold storage, so it supposedly a long-term of holding your coin.

The same on Electrum, I think Coinomi (https://www.coinomi.com/en/) has the same feature but it's a multi-sig wallet.  It's supported both PC and Android application.

Okay not a browser, so MEW here is exempted.  Here's what I can suggest.

  • Atomic Wallet (https://atomicwallet.io/)
  • Metamask (https://metamask.io/)
  • Trustwallet (https://trustwallet.com/)
  • Binance Chain Wallet (https://www.binance.org/en)

The best so far are;

1, MEW - https://www.myetherwallet.com/
2. MyCrypto - https://mycrypto.com/

Here is the complete list and choose the wallet that fits your need:

So far, I am using the wallet on myetherwallet (MEW), and started using Trust wallet. as long as I know altcoins especially ERC20, I always use MEW and I have no problem with it. If you want to use a desktop wallet or an Android app, then Trust wallet is probably what I can recommend.

It looks like imtoken could be the best choice but i do agree with people who have been suggesting about mycrypto. These wallet will be very easy to be accessed by you and it never encounter any bug like metamask or something else when it comes to create a transaction. Sometimes the wallet like metamask was showing incorrect fees and that will make the users being frustated.
it's better to pick the best one but im token already supported all of erc assets.

Try out MyEtherWallet.
It is now available in the Google Play Store and you can use it mobile. Quite convenient, in my opinion.
Back then it was only in their site that generates a wallet. I wouldn't recommend that method though as it is unsecured method of having a wallet.

MEW and Mycrypto.
These two are connected to each other. MEW has an app but I mostly use it on a browser. Whilst Mycrypto, for browser only.

I'm using MyCrypto desktop wallet for 4 years now and I never encounter any issue it's a dedicated wallet for Ethereum and it's secure since it's a desktop one, and they always update the software from time to time for maximum security, they also have an android version go to their official website and download the app and software from their page only.

If you're looking for a wallet just for cold storage, then I don't understand the need for an android version. You don't need a wallet if you just want to keep track of your portfolio on your smartphone.

As for the wallet suggestions, I believe other users before me have already listed everything.

Atomic, Mist, Edge,... these are some of the wallets that i often use, must say to use regularly.
I use them on my computer and almost every message i need will be able to handle it when using it.
You can install and experience them to see which one is right for you.

The most famous wallet for Ethereum is MyEtherWallet.
I already forgot the whole story, but then the development team split up and another wallet appeared - MyCrypto.
Their functionality and interfaces were similar because they were developed by the same team.
I prefer MyCrypto, it is more user-friendly and I like its interface better.
But Ethereum wallets are compatible with all applications and you can easily use the wallet created in MyCrypto in any other application.

I have bad experience with MEW and that's why i was moving to the new wallet. I were going to the new wallet like guarda, jax , imtoken, mycrypto and exodes. Many of these wallets already developed the desktop wallet and then you can try to use such wallet on your dekstop. I personally will try to pick these wallet rather than MEW or metamask
These wallets have very good security too.

Myetherwallet is one of the best ethereum wallet imo. It is an easy-to-use wallet with many ways to connect to any devices. The one that makes mew lost popularity is years ago there's so many pishing sites copied their page and create similar domain to get people's private keys.
But if you know how to use it in secure way, it is the best one.

Previously I only used MEW to store and make Ethereum transaction. I haven't tried the "MyCrypto" wallet because I don't need it so far. Maybe try it next time for some experience. While using MEW, I think we have had good experience managing our crypto asset based on Ethereum and to date MEW is still believed to be one of the best Ethereum wallet to date. I hope the OP can choice one of the recommended wallet. This should be based on need and a good level of security.

I personally use MyEtherWallet, Trust wallet and IM token app. I'm using MEW from 2017. This is good to keep token. In the last year I'm start using Trust Wallet. This is also so good and user friendly. Everything is so much easy. In Trust wallet, Sending token is easier that MEW. You can use it both in computer and Android. Trust wallet have Android app. You can use them without any hesitation.

Mewwallet is nice for android. You can easily connect it to the website when on PC. Exodus and Atomic wallet may have both Android and PC wallet support and could run the same thing at both places but it's difficult to manage ERC20 tokens and the interface is a clutter if you are using just a few of the coins. Trustwallet is also a popular option now as they support ERC20 tokens.

There are so many software wallets which support ethereum. Most of these have been suggested to you.  But I think it is better to use official software. Here is the official website for MEW https://www.myetherwallet.com/. You can download MEW Android App from official website.

MyEtherWallet is not an official Ethereum wallet.
Previously, the Ethereum coin had an official wallet
https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releases/
It was slow, did not update well
But then the developers abandoned this principle and for the development of the ecosystem they decided that other teams would start developing new wallets.
in 2018, interesting and convenient alternatives to the official wallet began to appear.

I personally use myetherwallet, trustwallet, imtoken. All of these are user friendly and easy to use. You can use any of them and hopefully you will be satisfied to use. Besides metamask is also a good option for storing your liquid assets.

By the way, the official website has a special section that describes 29 wallets
https://ethereum.org/en/wallets/find-wallet/
From here you can download any wallets and are not afraid of deception.
MyEtherWallet and MyCrypto are also on this list.
But for some reason, only a few hardware wallets are listed here

I prefer Metamask and TokenPoket.
Both of them provide the Test network option in the Dapp browser, so when we want to testnet, both wallets support that.
Actually there are many wallets that I use, but I prefer the two wallets.

I am currently using myetherwallet, trust wallet and safepal wallet on my erc20 tokens. I didn't have any problem with those 3 especially myetherwallet because it is my first ethereum wallet and It can be connected to my ledger without a problem. Using trustwallet as my daily driver on accepting and sending tokens regularly. Also, I'm using safepal wallet for airdrops. I have other wallets but these 3 are my main ETH wallets.

Just go with myetherwallet. I think that is one of the safest. Keep your JSON file, your password, and your private key with you and you are good to go. Myetherwallet may not be here years from now but your Ethereum (ETH) are all intact and safe. If you wish to access your funds later on, you can always do that with other web wallets, mobile wallets, and hardware wallets with your private key.

TrustWallet and MyetherWallet both of highly convenient to access on Android/iOS mobile phone. I have been using TrustWallet for long time it’s features too cool and easy accessible. There are supported different type of crypto coins as like ERC-20,BEP-2,ERC-721 and ERC-223. And even both of wallet you can access from PC.

I still think that metamask is much better than any other one. MEW and the likes all got hacked back in the day so I do not trust them, this doesn't mean that metamask will never be hacked at all but at least we know that there was no instance of metamask being hacked and thousands of people losing their money all together, that happened in the other ones and that is why I do not like it.

I also think that we have safepal right now and they do have erc20 tokens I think, it is at least an ethereum wallet that is hardware, that could be a first but first I want to wait and see what happens with that. Long story short we are in a difficult period right now and that is why I am not sure what is going to happen with each wallet, any of them could be hacked, but it is wiser to pick the unharmed one and you can recalculate if anything happens there, keep your money as further away from others reach as you can.

If you have a lot of Ethereum, I suggest you save it in a hardware wallet which is proven to be very safe. But if you don't have too much Ethereum,
you can use online wallets such as Metamask, Trust Wallet and Atomic Wallet. If you really plan to hold Ethereum in the long run, you should buy
a hardware wallet, because it is proven to be very effective at avoiding hackers. Because those who can access the Hardware wallet are
the owners themselves, because we keep the private keys ourselves. As long as we are safe in keeping our private keys, there is no need
to worry about our Ethereum being stolen.

MEW is not an separate app like Electrum for BTC but it is safe as long as your device is safe. Or else hardware wallets can do the best job for you because it not only supports multiple coins for long term storage but also it saves your funds from getting stole even when connecting to an infected device.

why don't you try using Trust Wallet (mobile wallet), because in my opinion it is now more convenient to use a wallet on a mobile (android or ios), so you can access your wallet anytime and anywhere, besides that in my opinion Trust Wallet is the best wallet for now, because you can store many types of cryptocurrency in just one wallet (BTC, ETH, BNB, Tron, etc.) and you can also access dapps on Trust Wallet, so making it easier for you to access dapps (1inch, uniswap, etc.) and I think Trust Wallet is very safe and easy to use.

https://www.myetherwallet.com/ I suggest you use this directly for cold wallet. if you ask why; You can manage funds as you wish, both online and offline. Apart from that, you can use metamask application for practical solutions. With encryptions on the browser, nobody else can access the application and thus you do not have to enter key information over and over again. Most useful, I definitely recommend a trust wallet. You can combine many eth keys under one application.

I recommend you to use MyEtherWallet (MEW), because you can access it on desktop or on mobile using the application, so you will be easy to store and transfer Ethereum that you have, besides that as long as I use MyEtherWallet (MEW), then I never had a problem (error), so that's what made me use MyEtherWallet (MEW) until now, because I think MyEtherWallet (MEW) is a good wallet for storing Ethereum or any ERC20 token.

trezor and ledger is a good suggestions
but look like the OP didn't want to use a kind of hardware wallet
so, myetherwallet is the best choice for the OP

But MEW is an online wallet, and he said he wanted something like electrum that has a desktop app.
And both Trezor and Ledger have that.
Most people think these 2 are strictly cold storage, when they are anything but. Some people use them daily, especially bigger holders, for that extra protection
