Real question, Bitcoin cash does it all and better with a stronger backing. Why Litecoin?

Because the owner of cash is a scam, he used bitcoin for advertising his project and manipulated it to direct to bch.


LTC has faster transactions than cash either.

Litecoin is an alternative of Bitcoin, probably can be called as Bitcoin Lite and has better for low transaction fees, but it slowly developed.

Bitcoin cash is shitcoin because the creator is Roger Ver aka known scammer in this forum, this guy misleading people by claiming Bitcoin Cash as real Bitcoin and real Bitcoin as Bitcoin Core.

Litecoin has a higher market cap than Bcash so I am not really sure that it has a stronger backing as you claim. The bcash community is only known for toxic behavior, infighting, and making misleading claims about being the real Bitcoin. Bcash has really fallen from grace since it reached second place on CoinMarketCap.

Litecoin has mostly just copied Bitcoin so there is not really much of a difference. We don't really need either of these coins but LTC is a better alternative because it doesn't have a negative reputation.

For Transaction Fee i suppose yes, BCH was much lower but it was created and backed by "Scammer" who claims to be Satoshi, they also have bad community, For the example you still remember last BCH Fork (BCHN)? It's pure chaos and we can see the community was not solid in there. Litecoin much better even with higher fees but it have more solid community and slow but good development.

Litecoin is a better version of  bitcoin lite version compared with the bitcoin scam cash that already created due to the political intention by roger ver and jihan wu.

Even litecoin was also forking from the bitcoin code and then that's a bit better rather than BCH. Litecoin is also being used as an experimental coin for bitcoin to implement BIP before it will be deployed to the bitcoin chain.

And then the people behind BCH is somewhat devious, not to be trusted and we all know that. That's why it didn't enjoy the consensus or support from this community.

While Litecoin, been in the market for so long and yet this continue to survive, and I will say that it has been adopted more as compare to BCH.

I really don't like the fact that this bitcoin cash team had deceived a lot of people by labelling their bitcoin cash as bitcoin and the real bitcoin as bitcoin core. I will trust more the litecoin project instead of this bitcoin cash. Sooner or later, I think BCH will die down. What will be main purpose of this forked coin anyway? Bitcoin is already doing its job.

this question should be reversed LOL. why we need bitcoin cash when we already have litecoin and bitcoin?  ::) IMO this bitcoin cash is coming from roger ver and you know how controversial he is, guess I'll just choose the real deal that is Bitcoin or an alternative that is litecoin.

Litecoin I think will do the same. but when the time is uncertain, because we know that Litecoin is a potentially large coin, but has not yet developed a high rise in a fast time. for litecoin it looks like it will take time to become potential

Litecoin was created before BCH. So your question should be opposite. Why we need BCH when we have Litecoin.  My answer on this question is that holders of Bitcoin did not wanted to sell it and buy Litecoin but they wanted to have own coin with same history as Bitcoin.  

Litecoin is better.

It's the first fork of bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash was just made around 2016. What if you're going to reverse the question and put Litecoin as the favorable and Bitcoin Cash as not the one.

Many would come to choose Litecoin than Bitcoin Cash.

I can't really say much cus am not a technical person at stuffs like this, but what I do know is that before bitcoin cash came into existence, litecoin have been very much around, and for me personally, I prefer litecoin to bitcoin cash cus I've always believed that bitcoin cash is nothing but a clone of bitcoin which at the very beginning, people actually said it was the real bitcoin.

I'm not really a fan of either of those coins however if I had to choose I will pick litecoin in a heartbeat, you need to understand that trust is significantly important when it comes to any form of money, once that trust is lost that currency will go nowhere, bitcoin cash is nothing but a fork of bitcoin and there was a time in which the community thought that if they thought they could do a better work than the bitcoin developers then let them try and see if they are right, but then came the allegations of those supporting bitcoin cash that they were in fact the original and that made the community to turn against them.

Since then the community surrounding bitcoin cash has been nothing but toxic and that is a clear sign that you should stay away from it no matter what happens.

I’m also thinking why we need Bitcoin cash where Bitcoin is already doing its job?
Litecoin is a lot more faster and ahead of BCH in terms of marketcap, and if you’re already here before where BCH was created, many hated this one and many believes that this is a useless project, created using the name of Bitcoin to fool investors. I’m also wondering why BCH is still out in the market?

Checking at the market volatility and volume of Litecoin, it surpasses bch, also the withdrawal charge in LTC is very low and faster too compare to bch, so why choosing the bch over LTC.

I have heard that if you find bitcoin fork then you have to be carefull because sometime that is the scam coin.

As for litecoin, I really like this coin for a long time. I still my investment since 2017 ago and I got profit.

Litecoin is bitcoin mini, some feature in litecoin most likely same with bitcoin, this is why there are so many people who will talk that litecoin is like bitcoin.

I chose Litecoin because it has a higher market cap when compared to Bitcoin Cash, meaning that Litecoin has a higher demand than Bitcoin Cash.
Then the most important thing is that Litecoin has a better reputation than Bitcoin Cash. As we all know Bitcoin Cash is a project that was originally
created by Roger Ver to replace Bitcoin, by doing a promo that misleads many people by saying Bitcoin Cash is real Bitcoin. This is what makes

and ultimately made Bitcoin Cash's reputation look even worse.

It should be backed by roger and friends lol. it looks like roger was also trying to be a bitcoin supporter again. If you are reading story behind bitcoin cash and this coin is exist caused by the battle between bitcoin core and roger combined with some miners. I guess roger and friends meant nothing for BSC as it's still getting stuck and it will never go to the somewhere.

A lot of the answers here pertain to Bitcoin Cash having a "scam" team yet not on fundamentals. I completely understand Litecoin has first movers advantage and Roger Ver isn't exactly the greatest person to back a project but lets remember he also backed and invested into bitcoin prior the existence of Bitcoin Cash. But in reality, when it comes to having a system that could be used as cash, how does litecoin really beat bitcoin cash? Bitcoin cash is faster and cheaper, yes? Bitcoin cash is literally on EVERY exchange Litecoin and Bitcoin are on, Yes? so besides first movers advantage and Roger Ver, why is Litecoin better?

Funny question, frankly speaking lite coin is waay more popular than bitcoin cash, when people talks about bitcoin what they mean is the real bitcoin not this altcoin that has the word "bitcoin" in it.
Not to mention the name Litecoin sounds a lot more legit than bitcoin cash since I assume the primary reason the BCH founder name it like that because they trying to steal bitcoin fame.

For me crypto is about trust and convenience. Even when you said bch is faster than ltc I'll keep using ltc to transferring funds everytime. Why? Because it's still small on fees. When bitcoin cash sounds like propaganda in the first time when Roger keep saying bch is the real bitcoin, and ltc pronounce it self as lite version of bitcoin sounds as part of bitcoin community.

I still don't understand why do we need bch when we have btc, If those bch holders are hoping that the price of bch will be the same as btc in the future big no it will never happen in my 6 years in crypto I never tried  to buy bch I don't know I just dont like it I feel like IM a buying a trash when I buy it haha like many comments say here I will instead buy LTC rather than BCH contrary to OP question. 

Litecoin is more innovative than Bitcoin Cash. Also, there is a Litecoin Visa card for payments. Charlie Lee plans to implement Mimblewimble (MW) for private transactions. Litecoin improves itself while Bitcoin Cash stays the same.

When it comes to fees and transactions, I prefer litecoin than bch. And after bch has been hype when it was newly launched, honestly I can not see any progress with bch. However, with our local wallet there is no ltc to be chosen that is why I dont have a choice but to convert some of my fiat money into ltc and xrp. Anyway, ltc is more established than bch IMHO.

Well, many people answered it already, and one thing for sure is it is because litecoin is a lot better than bitcoin cash. Let's start from the simplest one, bitcoin cash has a bad reputation already, like you know, because of the scams surrounding it, meanwhile litecoin doesn't have anything like that. Bad reputation is bad for the coin, so people of course will prefer the one with good image to the bad ones right? And the prospect of litecoin is a lot better than bitcoin cash, making it a better choice to use or to invest.

Of course, more people like LTC. Faster transactions with lower fees than BCH.
LTC's market development is also better. while BCH I think will only follow the capabilities of the BTC market. if there is a pump it is also related to events and trading on the stock exchange. it will not be associated with any development. but LTC has plans for the future. We have already seen that the LTC halving has also been implemented several years ago. although the market response was not good due to bad market conditions at that time. but LTC's long-term potential is better.

My preference is Lite coin  because its market cap , faster transaction speed and more centralized . Its creator is very serious person and fully dedicated to its project whereas  Bitcoin cash has very bad history of conflicts between its creators and that ended up in split of coin. The current price of LTC is around $ 200 and it is in uptrend. I consider its current price as good entry point to book good gains in coming months as it has not shown its real colour during the current rally of Altcoins. My Long term target is $575.

I am not following both their developments but i am using both because the gambling sites have listed them and more over i did not invest much in bitcoin cash but it was airdropped for free and for a long time i used them to wager.

What i do not understand what you mean by Litecoin developed personally by Charlie ::). He sold almost all of his premined coins because he thought it is not going anywhere or he wanted to take advantage of the instant richness, who knows and if he is taking care of development it is well and good.

The only reason I would ever use either LTC or BCH is because of their low transaction fee. If we talk about technology, then both these coins are ages behind the newer cryptos such as Cardano and Polkadot. However I need to admit that the LTC developers try their level best to keep the coin updated against the recent issues and security bugs. Both LTC and BCH are losing market share and it doesn't surprise me. They are simply outdated cryptocurrencies.

I have not used any one of them but what I have seen so far I am going to say that Litecoin is a better choice, and of course I like Litecoin despite I haven’t used it. As for Bitcoin Cash, I wouldn’t say the same thing. They are kind f copying everything about Bitcoin and it’s misleading people. Their website is Bitcoin.com instead of BitcoinCash.com, and they did that because they know for sure that most newbies will be typing in Bitcoin.com on their browsers (while the original Bitcoin’s website is Bitcoin.org).

So, this shows that these Bitcoin Cash devs are scammers. Secondly , when it comes to market cap Litecoin is a few steps ahead of the Bitcoin Cash if you check Coinmarketcap. And when it comes to transaction, Litecoin is better and faster based on research.

Litecoin is a more affordable coin. People  using it, and LTC, in principle, has never let down. Yes, now there is no such rapid growth, but there is stability. I buy this coin and I know that many people buy it. Although I can't say anything bad about Bitcoin Cash.

I don't see any reason to use bitcoin cash over litecoin, at least Litecoin doesn't claim to be the real bitcoin like bitcoin cash founder and supporters think, it's really funny whenever i come across any of their supporters calling bitcoin a shit coin and saying bitcoin cash is the real deal, like why don't they just say bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin cash :D?, they keep saying it's the real bitcoin, but in reality bitcoin cash is shit honestly.

I have never thought Bitcoin Cash was better than Litecoin, so there is no reason for me to invest in Bitcoin Cash. Because for me Bitcoin Cash is
a shitcoins, and I have no interest in being able to make a profit from Bitcoin Cash. Even if we look at the market cap of Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash,

Many people use Litecoin to send between exchanges.I still do this out of habit, although there are ways much cheaper.Just have confidence in this coin.For example, I always take ltc if there are free funds.

Both Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash are forks of BTC. The difference is that Litecoin (that is commonly named as Bitcoin Lite or “digital silver”) emerged in 2011 year (much earlier than Bitcoin cash that emerged only in 2017). After fork Litecoin became popular because it used light encryption algorithm that made transaction confirmation rate four times higher than that of BTC. As far as I know for a long time no one digital coin was quicker than Lite. Bitcoin cash was created in 2017 as new quick alternative of BTC with cheap transactions and it seems to work well enough, even though all the Hodlers and traders don't trust it.

I think people already know the answer, But IMHO, Litecoin exists first before BCH creation through a Bitcoin hard fork thats why you are asking the wrong question?  So let us reverse the question Why we need BCH when Litecoin is already here? I believe LTC is far better than BCH because Litecoin has a strong community of users including investors as well.

Because lite coin is older then bitcoin cash, bitcoin cash is the product of blockchain politic it happen in 2017 bullish because two big community does not agree for each other idea, bitcoin cash community also thread bitcoin community like enemy. Bitcoin cash is centralised while litecoin is well distributed and sportive community behind it.

Of course it's your right but i prefer to buy bitcoin with free money and then increase it. It's much more comfortable for me to see more bitcoins on my account today than yesterday and no matter what the price on the market is against the dollar.

Well maybe these coins are similar in their use cases and features so you could ask why do we need them both, but if you do that in that case you also need to do this with basically every industry and their products in an open market.
Why do we need cars from BMW if we already have Mercedes cars? Or why do we need Smartphones from Apple if there already is Samsung.
The answer is because some people like BMW more than Mercedes and Apple more than Samsung for completely individual reasons.
And the same thing applies to crypto projects too, because there aren't much really unique projects out there which offer something that all the other projects cant offer in a similar way.

In my opinion one of the reasons that make Litecoin superior to Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin has a higher market cap than BCH. On the other hand, Litecoin is more centralized than Bitcoin Cash because it uses the Scrypt hash algorithm, which is the most popular PoW consensus mechanism.

I have personally not bought or used bitcoin cash at all but from the looks of it and my personal experience with litecoin LTC, i prefer lite coin.
Litecoin has a more stable Blockchain and the transaction fees is so low that its almost unbelievable. Transaction speed on the other hand is really slow and it takes a lot of time for transactions to get confirmed
