Title: RTX 3060 Mining Doubt
Post by: ImThour on March 22, 2021, 01:08:25 PM
Hey,

I am new to Mining and I am not sure if doing something like this will work:

Using Dummy HDMI in 3060 Card using Driver version 470.05 beta, will it provide me full hash rate 50MH/s or 25MH/s?
And if there is any other way to make the best out of this card, do suggest me below.

Thanks!

If you are buying 1 GPU and use it without risers, just installing in motherboard - you`ll get about 50MH with 470 drivers(or even without them, i dont remember surely).
And if you want to construct a rig - you can get problems with such GPUs. I think, that we`ll get a decision but some time later.

This video just put out by a usual youtuber on cryptomining a son of a tech,
explains right at the beginning it has the version of the driver to enable the full 50mhs available by these so called crippled cards they released in the 3060 and even discusses about it might be better to mine ravencoin for these cards instead.

If your worried about it when Ethereum eventually does go full Proof of Stake with ETH 2.0 already enabled.
Just not fully implemented.

the drivers you use in theory should unlock the ethash algorithm for ethereum and you should be able to reach the full hash rate that is 50 mh / s but at this point i would also bet on ravencoin the eth mining has the days numbered in my opinion
