Title: How to make online transactions?
Post by: yiken on March 26, 2021, 04:09:29 AM
OK, so, I have a bitcoin miner running 24/7, and I'm earning steady bitcoin, now, how am I going to be able to pay with the bitcoin I earned? I know that I have to register a wallet, but once the wallet is registered, how to I get it to sync with my current funds?

For example, I want youtube premium(assume YT accepts bitcoin though it doesn't), how do I transfer the bitcoin I have to youtube so I can get my premium membership? (sorry, I just started this and I'm not very technical in this field)

Thanks in advance!

If you are mining Bitcoin by downloading any application on your phone or any service that does not include purchase of mining devices, then stop that.
You do not mine Bitcoin, but rather sell your data to a third party and they may be able to obtain permissions to steal some of your files/money.

Bitcoin mining on commodity hardware is too slow and unprofitable, so I'm guessing that you bought quite a few ASICs and are mining with that connected to a pool?

If that's the case then the pool should pay the mining rewards to the wallet address you gave it. How it does it is different for each pool, some send you after each block is found, others wait until your rewards reach a threshold and release it all at once.

At that point you should see the bitcoins in your wallet software and can spend them freely (but I don't think you can buy YouTube Premium with bitcoin yet).

In order to send and receive bitcoins, you need a wallet. You can choose one here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Get a "receive address" from the wallet and withdraw your bitcoins to that address. Once you have the bitcoins in your wallet, you can send them whenever and where ever you want. Generally, if you want to send bitcoins, the receiver will give you an address (just like you did when you withdrew the bitcoins that you mined). You go to "Send" in your wallet and enter the address and amount.

In order to get proper answers, please answer these questions:

[1] is your miner some hashrate bought at some cloud mining website?

If the answer is yes then:
a. There's a huge chance that you have been scammed and you will never see any of the coins they show you on the interface (maybe you should tell us what website it is to check and try to find out)
b. You need to install a wallet software (please ask about it separately) and, if a certain threshold is reached you'll withdraw to your wallet first; then you can spend.

[2] is your miner a hardware you own?
[3] is this hardware miner an ASIC or is it your computer?
[4] do you solo mine or you mine in a pool? if it's a pool, can you please state which pool it is?
[5] usually withdrawing from pools requires a thrashold to be met. Can you please tell the magnitude of your earnings? 0.1BTC, 0.001BTC? more? less? (please make sure it's BTC and not mBTC and such).

If you have BTC in the pool, you will need to install a wallet software and put your address somewhere in the pool settings for withdrawal. But again, in order to get there you'll need to know this or that about wallets too.

After reading the OP and understanding that he does not know how to make a simple trisection (to one of his address) for basic mining I am pretty sure that he has fallen for those cloud mining scams.

@yiken how much did you paid for mining?
