Welcome! You've already found quite a good board to introduce yourself here.

You might want to look at the bitcoin discussion section too at some point, meta has a few stickied threads on rules too and general forum information.
Rules: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Most rules here are just general guidance, you'll do well just contributing to discussions you're interested in.

I like your post but I think this topic is necessary, read it very well, he says he has read the forum rules and that he will obey it, it is not about saying he will obey, not necessary ton say this, it is about obeying. Your post is useful for me because I can see the rules of the forum there but the topic is not necessary as nothing meaningful or useful about it and no question asked.

Welcome to the forum :)

It is certainly commendable that you made the effort to read the sticked threads in this board, and if you want to find out and learn even more, I suggest that you definitely visit the Meta board.

I noticed that you have a link to your Telegram publicly in your profile, and that is not something that is good for your safety. This forum is a public place and besides people with good intentions there are also a lot of those with very bad intentions. Telegram is one of the platforms that is very popular with scammers, so a little advice for a good start - do not show such things in public, and do not trust any strangers who will PM you and offer some help ;)

Welcome to the forum.

You are good to try and read rules, it is a good start.
You don't have to create a pressure for yourself by trying to become a full member. If you have good idea exchanges, discussions, you will rank up, this year or next year.

One of the worst rule violation from newbie is plagiarism that will cause a permanent ban for your account.

Also please do remember as I always recommend this to new member of this community is to contribute this following.

Helpful post
Be on topic
Humorous post
Informative post

And merits given by members will just follow.

That will do you good, many newbies here forgot the rules and others do not care to read the rules they just post here and they mind their own business, like copy-pasting and creating redundant topics, it's not easy to reach a full member rank you have to work hard to get it try to reach the junior member first so you can motivate yourself even more.

I've read every single one of your answers, thank you so much for your help, friends! I especially thank Peanutswar for providing a ranking table on this forum. I now have the rank of Newbie, in 2 weeks I will be able to get Jr. Member. That's great, I'll do my best

You can not automatically rank up to Junior member after 2 weeks. Your activity will be at least 30 that equals to three 14-days periods. Each 14 days period, your activity will be capped at 14 points, maximum. After 28 days, you will have max 28 activities. The days from 29 to 42, you will have max 42 activities.

If you meet activity requirement, you need one more condition. Merit, at least 1+ merit.

Junior member: 30+ activities & 1+ merit.
  • Welcome message (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5036308.0)
  • Promotion with merit system and new rank requirements. It's possible. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121906.0)

Yes, at best.

You can or can not rank up to Junior member rank. It is up to you do meet 2 conditions or not. Activity requirement is easy, just make enough or more than 30 posts. Merit requirement is harder to meet. It is up to quality of your posts and your contribution in the community.

I recommend that you share something helpful and insightful in the forum, as it will help you succeed on your journey. They have already shared those threads that can assist you in understanding the various boards and what you should do first. I'll just give you easy-to-follow advice;

Make yourself accessible in any discussions and learn more about cryptocurrency; this will enable you to develop quickly.

Do not put too much emphasis on getting high; most users have had difficulty achieving a high rank as they prioritize it and making ineffective posts.

And last, read and follow the rules. Good luck!

Welcome to the forum. I see that we are from the same local section. Exactly three years ago I came to the forum and also did not know where to go. I started to engage in bounty programs, but luckily I realized in time that I was wasting my time. I would advise you to read and ask more. Although I see from your answers that you are already familiar with the Binance exchange, and are already offering to do the work for merits. It's always fun for me to read how beginners quickly learn the importance of merits. :)
Do not rush with the ranks, everything will come in due time, the main thing is to understand that the more open and sincere you are on the forum, the more you will learn and find new and interesting friends.

@Ded_Kronchs
Don't mistake merits for a means of payment. That is not what it is. Proven cases of merit begging or merit abuse are punished with negative tags by DT members. That will ruin your account and make you stand out in a negative way. Although everyone is free to send merits any way they see fit and admins don't want people to be tagged for the ways in which they use their merits, one should not engage in any abusive distribution.

The most important thing right now for every newbie to this forum is interest. I think if the OP has an interest in studying bitcoin and cryptocurrency then he should make an effort to read more things about it so he can understand it well. The OP's good start is its desire to grow and become a useful member of the forum, but the truth is that many newbie end up becoming spammer simply because they have been interested in being bounty hunter for a long time. The OP really need to make an extra effort to be a useful forum member and he has to prove it through action not just by talking.

I would advise you to read and ask more. Although I see from your answers that you are already familiar with the Binance exchange, and are already offering to do the work for merits. It's always fun for me to read how beginners quickly learn the importance of merits. :)
I don't think that someone who does something valuable just because of merit is the right thing to do. Merit should be earned naturally and the user only need to contribute without expecting to get them. Let the merit come naturally, it is a huge reward for a contribution without having to post just for it.

I hope these are not just words and empty promises. Well, your promises are always to yourself but you owe the forum to abide as, the forum is intolerant of rules and regulation breakers. It would be of great importance and would add a lot of value to you should you make actual meaningful of those words by not living them as some spoken or written sounds and do the work that backs it up.

I'm impressed for you to have found and read the rules, not so many do this and as such, they remain ignorant until are official offenders and are punished accordingly. I hope you don't follow this path but actual fine the knowledge which you seek.

Perhaps you misunderstood me. I don't consider merit to be an important part of the forum. But I'm surprised that newcomers who come here learn about the merits faster than about the rules themselves or about the topic of the forum in general. Sometimes jokingly, I think the forum for newbies sounds like Merittalk.  ;D

Reading and applying someone’s advice is obviously two different things, so even though I advised you not to show your Telegram account in public, I see that you still show it in your profile. It is of course your right, and it is not forbidden, I just hope that you will not become one of those who will one day write "someone scams me via Telegram" .

One relevant thing to bear in mind is that this forum is quite different to CryptoTalk where I’ve seen you’ve got an account. Whilst ranks on this other platform are simply based on the number of posts (similar to what it was like on Bitcointalk between 2009 and mid 2013), here as you’ve seen, we’ve got Activity (introduced in 2013) and Merits (introduced in 2018) to consider for the ranks. That makes ranking-up much more difficult, and introduces the need to post decent enough content in order to postulate.

Your right and I must say its like this for most persons, especially while growing in ranks from a very early stage. It becomes more of, what needs to be done to get this and that in ranking up so as to participate in signature campaigns. It makes it seem as though, the signature and avatar campaigns are the only ways to benefit the most form this forum. Yeah, you will but, its not the ultimate. You ought to know what really is bitcoin, altcoin, blockcahin tech etc and how to utilise them because they have a lot to offer. Besides, earning from signature isn't the only investment package that the crypto world offers. There are others and a lot of people have learnt coding, Web designing, signature designing, even art amongst others all motivated by the forum and from being fully involved in forum activities and not just chasing after merits to rank up.

I wouldn't want that to be the case of you and from DdmrDdmr's comment, you might be new to the forum but not in the world of crypto. To this effect, I'll say be rather to learn more and keep an upon mind towards the knowledge that would be pushed than to you from time to time and your free to ask questions when you don't totally agree on or is confused about a point.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you already read some important advice given to you from the members of this forum, Don't achieve only to be a full member, there is more than that, it is better if you will achieve the knowledge instead of a certain rank member. In the end, knowledge would be important in any aspect of our lives.

I saw your advice and fully explore it. I just need to identify the profiles on this forum in conjunction with the profile in the telegram. Rest assured, I will not be deceived. I'm not entirely new to the crypto world, new only on this forum :) But nevertheless, thanks for your concern  ;)

I just need to identify the profiles on this forum in conjunction with the profile in the telegram.

An interesting mission, although I don't know what you plan to achieve with it. What you need to know is that anyone can contact you on your Telegram and claim that it is someone from this forum, and that's exactly what scammers do.

It looks like this ->

Telegram Scammer pretending to be @CryptopreneurBrainboss (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5295542.0)
The Pharmacist scammed me (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5303500.0)
