Title: My comeback in this forum
Post by: Serious475Ver2 on March 31, 2021, 05:40:28 AM
Hello guys! I hope you are doing well right now.
I've been an active user in this forum from 2017 up to 2018. I was curious about learning new things during that time especially all about Cryptocurrency. I also tried joining signature campaigns during that time. However due to College(Engineering is hard :( ), I didn't have the time to study more about Crypto and be an active member in this forum. Earlier, I was checking my earnings from my previous campaigns and I am shocked that my Bitcoin did increase its value. I was wondering, what are the things that I missed and do you have any specific websites/journals/books that can help me regain my knowledge about Cryptocurrency? Thanks!   :)

Sorry to say this, you aren't allowed to comeback in this forum since you're already got perma-banned of your previous account https://bpip.org/Profile?id=1333577

Also you aren't allowed to create a post in other section except in Meta to request unbanning your main account. But I think it's useless since you're plagiarism.

Welcome back

So you registered with new account? Where is your old account? Did you forget the password? Since you said you ever joined in bounty before, your old account should be at least member rank.

Best place for learn bitcoin is this forum IMHO.

It's alright! I did not handle that account previously. I do not care on the account itself but on the knowledge that I want to gain in this forum. I am trying to start new things with this account. Do you have any tips for me?

Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.msg7955645#msg7955645) and the rule 25 says you are no longer allowed to use this forum as a member

The only attempt you can do is make an unban appeal in Meta board. Any posts, topics are made not in Meta board will be considered as ban evasion. Ban evasion means your new account, this one will be permanent banned too.

Check another topic and see the second chance for you is nearly zero. ✅[BAN APPEAL]UPDATE: Total table + Ban status (Need feedback from Global mods) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5144410.msg51097839#msg51097839)

Oh I see, so there is an appeal that should be done before creating a new account. Okay, I'll take note of that.

If that's the case then I shall say goodbye to you all. I am not the one who did the post in my previous account and I am the one one shall suffer. Thanks

Your old account was Serious475 (https://bpip.org/Profile?p=Serious475), right? What confuses me here is that you said you were inactive since 2018, but someone was writing with that account up until February 11th 2021 when it got autobanned. So were you just lying, or you sold/gave your account away to someone else, as you said thhat "you are not the one who did posts on your previous account". Care to explain what's going on here?

That account is also involved in some interesting merit share (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4720640.msg56679333#msg56679333).

Yes that is my old account. I gave it to my friend because I am really busy doing schoolworks. Now, I have the time to share my knowledge and also gain from other people in this forum. I just wanted to start a new account and I did not notice that there is some process in order to join in this forum.

That account indeed has big gap in posting activity, from August 2018 up until February 2020, so I guess it could have happened as you explained. But since that account got banned recently, and having alt accounts is in that case against the forum rules you are in the pickle as it will be kinda hard for you to prove that account wasn't in your control.

As others said, you can start ban appeal thread in Meta, but chances of you lifting the ban on that account ain't best, and until then you are forbidden to write anywhere on the forum expect on that thread.

Alright. Thank you for the tips. I'll just leave this forum and try other things to learn and do instead. Thanks!

There is an error message that says I am banned when I accessed that account :(. Anyway, thank you everyone!

You have an interesting explanation of the situation that has arisen. It amused me.
Imagine this situation. You have purchased an item from a store. After that you no longer need it, and you presented it to a friend. But later you suddenly come to the store and ask to give you your product.
Are you sure you have come to the right place? Maybe you should ask a friend what he did wrong? Your first account was very active, so I doubt that a friend or girlfriend did not know that after one ban, returning to the forum is prohibited.
Doubt any appeal will help here.

The OP still has access to the account even after the account has been autoban. I don't think the OP should have told the whole story if the account was given to a friend and it hasn't been managed for a long time. He is even quite easy to create another account without having to expect his main account to be returned by his friend again. But I have a little doubt about the story, this is a case of avoidance Ban evasion.

Doubt any appeal will help here.
The OP want to leave the forum as he said in a few reply post. I doubt he will appeal after this.

check the bpip.org link Jawhead999 shared, you'll see that the account is banned. and as far as I know, banned accounts can still be accessed but other than that the owner can not do anything other than log in on that banned account.

Guess what? He'll just create another account and it will be a fresh start avoiding the previous violation he does, but definitely nearest guess with the issue.

I guess you still has the access onto it and ban account can still login. You shouldn't gave your friend some permission over this account if you truly care about it, you should have instead teach him/her how it does. Sorry but this is the good old alibi that doesn't count anymore.

Oh they can do for sure more as just only watching and reading posts and stuff , for sure they cant post or write .
But they can receive Merits and maybe send Merits (whats in my opinion a form of using the forum also) and they can distrust or trust Users in ther Trust List.
Would be a good thing if they got banned that they cant do that anymore !

Busted!

This is a no place for a permban user after degrading the forum with spam posts or worst with plagiarism. It shouldn't be accepted after all. Once a cheater always be a cheater. This is how my girlfriend had told me not to cheat because she will going to refuse on me if I come back to her after cheating. This should be same as in the forum. Welcoming back cheater will not be able to help other users with their dirty strategy especially in ranking up. I heard that others are already buying merits in order to rank up. It is not a good idea and one can't grow in that case.
Anyway, he may not get caught if he register new account with different name. This may give him the chance to lurk in the forum as newbie and then again do some nasty things. Fortunately at early days of his existence @Jawhead999 caught the cheater. All I can say to this is that bad people can't grow if they will continue to cheat. Hardwork, willingness to help, perseverance and other attributing factor to rank up can help a newbie to get merits and not by cheating or buying merits.

I always thought that after getting banned all features other than logging in from the account will be disabled. thanks for clearing that up. and yeah, I agree that it would be a good thing if the features mentioned above would be disabled when an account is banned.

And no one thought that this account may not belong to the banned account at all? The topic has been moved from META to beginners. The moderators are not going to block the OP's account.
Tomorrow is the day of jokes, and the fun starts today ;D. But the OP will simply create a new account, and he will no longer be as completely honest as it was today.
