Title: What is happening with Coinmarketcap?
Post by: TheWolf666 on April 01, 2021, 07:56:01 PM
What is happening with Coinmarketcap.

Our coin was swapped, we are listed already at Coinmarketcap and here is the news: these snobs are not listing the swapped coin? What is happening at this place?
Anyone has the same problem?

"Good Day,

We have reviewed your application, and regret to inform you that it does not meet our listing requirements. Please understand that due to the volume of daily requests that we receive, our content team must adhere to a strict set of criteria when deciding on which new projects will be added.

(1) Cryptoassets
For a cryptoasset to be considered for a tracked listing, it should possess the following qualities:
Leverage cryptography, consensus algorithms or distributed ledgers, peer-to-peer technology and/or smart contracts to function as a store of value, medium of exchange, unit of account, or decentralized application.
Must have a functional website and block explorer.
Must be traded publicly, and actively traded on at least one (1) exchange (with material volume) that has tracked listing status on CoinMarketCap.
Provide a representative from the project with whom we can establish open lines of communication for any clarifications.

I think you have to contact them again and has to follow those requirements that they're saying. I don't know the whole process of listing a coin onto coinmarketcap but I've seen them delisting those that haven't met their requirements. And in your case, I think you only have to comply with whatever they see you lack with based on their set requirements. But the question, do you lack any of those that have they mentioned as their requirements?

No, we had a blockchain named Kryptofranc and we have swapped to Franc.
Kryptofranc is listed at Coinmarketcap
Franc was refused.
it is the same project with a different name.

None faced the same problem as you.

have you been informed CMC about the token swap event for your kriptofranc to the franc? I think that if you have been informing CMC before the swap and CMC will replace it with your new token.

EIDOO was getting swapped to the PNT token and it went very smoothly.

Did you filled their google document list of addresses? Maybe that's what is missing. I didn't.

Then best to try Filling since that's what you think causes this problem , I Believe that CoinMarketCapitalization will be very glad having new coins listed on their Platform specially Looking at your project that it is Legit and Has  potential .
Also you are the Only claimant of this issue so i think that the problem is on your part and not on CMC.

Coinmarketcap has certain criteria to list on their platform which also includes a certain amount of training volume in the 24 hour so if your project has that volume then it will be listed for sure. And you said that your project was already listed there but renamed it recently means you need to contact the support team and ask for the chance with the necessary documents.

It's best to contact them again and explain your situation and why it has ended up with that rejection email.

You only need to explain about your swap and ask them what you should need to comply or if there are additional requirements that you need to pass and ask them specifically and tell them all of those details.

Did you contact their help support? Because this is the only thing you can do for now and wait for their response.
You might missed something that's why you faced that kind of issues, what do you think? You wait for awhile for now
Good day.

I sent 2 forms with the google list of address.
Our Kryptofranc was listed and is still listed even after it was swapped.
The new coin is not listed as swapped.

FRANC is traded and we are still not listed at Coinmarketcap after 2 submission.
The same guy named Akil seems to throw our requests to the trash.

Worse, at the same time we have people contacting us to help listing us to coinmarketcap in exchange of a fee.

Everything is looking very suspicious, like if the team who decide to list at Coinmarketcap is asking money to list new coin and if you do not pay, they throw your request in the trash.

Anyone knows someone or a way to contact someone trustful in this opaque company?

And their support staff is starting their email with "Good Day", common...that sounds like a big scam.

No it is not, we are still not listed at Coinmarketcap.

Our ex-coin Kryptofranc was listed without a problem. And it is still listed even if it was delisted from CREX24 and now it is not even mined.
The new coin FRANC is not listed, after I submitted twice (1 time as a new coin and 1 time as a swap process)

In their form for a swap they are asking stupid questions (list of the 20 people who own the most for example) but they do not ask about the new website or the new project.

At this time. We are not listed, but traded.

This website is so unprofessional.
This coin is not traded anymore: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kryptofranc/

How do they get the numbers.
And why they totally ignore us, our requests, and at the same time we are contacted in private by people asking for money to be listed!??

And why their support AND the scammers at Telegram are all starting their message with "Good Day"...
Like if they are the same people or at least not from an English speaking country?!?

Welcome to the wonderful world of crypto exchanges.

You know what? I would go to Binance Twitter and CZ's Twitter and ask politely why their CMC is not helping you out.

Just say that, your project is changing names, it is already listed and all that, but the support is refusing to even take the time to understand the situation.

Binance owns CMC which is why I suggest this.

This line had already clarified on whats the actual problem which you havent meet their listing requirements. If they do have made out such response then think on whats lacking into those
things that they are requiring because they wont be making out rejections if you do meet up their criteria.

Try to contact them again or sent out on whats been asked. CMC had been known on this market for long time and now that Binance owned this site then expect that there might be some
changes in some terms.

So try again bud.

So, when was your coin listed?
Since CMC has been acquired by Binance, the listing requirements and procedures may be somewhat different than before, so to make changes to listed coin details (such as swap coins) you have to repeat the process from scratch to complete any new requirements that you haven't fulfilled yet.

are you sure that you are contacting the right support ? and Telegram ? i don't think that CoinMarketCapitalization is having a Telegram active support thing?

I visited their telegram and it seems that only Bot is updating the site?

But of course Telegram has been tackled from wayback about their shady activities and this matter of yours might be added to those list of accusation towards them.

Please update us all once there is a clearance in future.

Maybe those are just copycats and scammers. It's very common to a telegram channel that there are users that are copying the real admins and they're messaging those people that are new comers and those who are posting on the channel that asks for help.
Before the real admins reply, they're quicker than what you're expecting. I've experienced that ones when I've tried to get into a channel and that's what happened to me.

If your project is already listed on Coinmarketcap and get delisted after weeks, for sure there are some  requirements that your projects didn't achieve during the testing.. You should contact them again and figure it out the whole reason why suddenly the project was removed.. Maybe they will give you another chance if you can provide an acceptable reason. And perhaps you pay for it so you have rights anyways..

Kryptofranc was listed at CMC about 2 years ago.
Franc swap happened last month?

Maybe it is too early? What is upsetting is that many investors do not understand. We are small, but the crypto is not only about who is powerful and have a lot of money.
Otherwise that mean that it has become like the fiat banking system.

You do not understand, our project has been swapped.
KYF has become FRANC

However, KYF is still listed at CMC while it is not traded, and they do not list the new project FRANC.

This doesn't make sense. We are the same investors, authors, and basically all KYF owner received 1:1 FRANC.

I do not understand what is the missing requirement, for swapping 2 coins.

Plus their swapping form does not include any fields to explain the new project?

I have tried to list FRANC and keep Kryptofranc, they refused.
I have tried using the swap form to tell them that we swapped, the old coin is still listed, but the new one is nowhere to find weeks after asking.

??? ??? ??? ???

I don't know how cmc applies the requirements, but it shouldn't be either. I have seen several times the coins have been displayed on cmc even though the first trade opening countdown is still running.

The CMC response email in the OP is somewhat ambiguous because it does not include incomplete requirements. I'm curious about listing fee. No need to mention nominal, just maybe you know if there is a difference in price from previous one (if they charge). Who knows, this is the real obstacle but they don't mention it explicitly.

The only options are to make an announcement in the community or social media where the links are posted in the old coins, create another email again and invite them to see this thread, it's not good for the community they refused to list the swapped token when they should because it's the same coin, or changed the information from an old one to a new one.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped using Coinmarketcap and shifted to Coingecko, you can see new tokens listed right away.

This is one of the reasons why I stopped using Coinmarketcap and shifted to Coingecko, you can see new tokens listed right away.

Coingeko are doing their job at being the Google of Crypto.

The problem with CMC and Binance in general is that it seems that these people are using their power to influence the crypto.

Since when the crypto is a Wall Street bi*tch?
Since when some snobs can decide wherever a coin is good enough or not?
Imagine if Google was doing the same, let's only accept big websites?

It is a huge problem to have a reference in the crypto that is not reliable.
Coingecko is doing great. But a lot of portfolio applications are using Coinmarketcap API to list and track the coins.
Take Blockfolio, I still can follow the Kryptofranc and it is not traded anymore.

But my investors stop seeing FRANC because CMC refuses to update the datas?
The consequence are ripples after ripples that are affecting the well being of our project, and annoying our investors.

While people keep contacting us to be listed in CMC for a fee, it is tempting to pay.

You should be in contact with the cmc team to update the new swap project information into their data base to reflect,  contacting them separately from the swapping form will be more effective since they didn't make provisions to such process in the form,  if this isn't done, only the old coin will appear and not the recently swapped one,
Although I don't understand why will they refuse to list the new swapped coin? Lots of project do that often, maybe contact them through twitter and see if they will reply and assist you.

They have a form for swapped coin, I have sent about 3 applications, including their Google document with the info about the holders, and always the same thing happen, one guy send me a email saying that they will take care of the request.
The first request I received an official rejection with no motive entered.
The other ones never received a rejection, neither any update. I have written in their Telegram, and their Twitter.
I got the same guy sending me an email saying basically that there is no scam and that I can verify that he is really working at CMC.
That said, I think that he is reading this thread, but still nothing is happening.

Someone at CMC is not doing his or her job about us.
It is Frustrating, but I have to contact Blockfolio and others application directly to get us listed.
But I am not the only one in that situation apparently.

There is something not normal in this company at the moment.

Someone contacted me from CMC, the form is complex and there are many tabs at the bottom that I haven't filled out.
So I think it is going in the good way now, I am waiting for an answer for them.
The problem is lack of answer from the support previously.

We think it's normal. It is impossible for Coinmarketcap to track transactions without complete information. Exchange is the main thing, besides that the website is active. Maybe a lot of tokens are registered there but their website is dead, even CMC no longer records token transactions. Maybe for project developers, this is something that is hard for them. But for those of us who invest in crypto, we really need detailed information.

Our token has all information necessary, but they want a certain (undisclosed) volume daily. Otherwise, we got no feedback about any missing information. We are traded on 3 pairs at CREX24 (for 1 year with Kryptofranc and 2 months with the new name FRANC after a swap).
I think that it is just a matter of time.

But while Kryptofranc is not traded anymore, they are tracking it. And our new coin FRANC is actively traded but is not tracked. There is a lot of sloppiness.

Consequences are that our investors can track the disabled KYF on Blockfolio but not its Swapped instance FRANC.

Anyway our websites are here https://franc.eu.com, our project is here https://wolfonlinekingdom.com and we are legit (developing for several years). There is no missing info.

I hope that Coinmarketcap can improve their accuracy! What if Google was still indexing non functioning websites, and refusing indexing new ones because ... hum .. I don't know.
I hope to see FRANC in their tracked list as well as our investors. Not everyone have millions and an ICO, that's corporate thinking that capitalization defines a projet, and Crypto should give a chance to new projects based on their project and hard work.

So many scams when you own a coin. Hundred of people with fake accounts. I trust no one.

Lol, this space is crawling with scammers everywhere you have to be extra careful not to fall victim of scam, often on some telegram group those people claiming to be agent or whatever will pop in and claim they can help the project get listed, they are every where, am sure the genuine ones are very few, majority are scams,

i think your project needs to be very catchy to draw the attention of cz especially on twitter, this way listing on binance or on cmc shouldn't be a problem, between i didn't know being on cmc requires extra effort, i use to think there are certain requirements which a project needs to meet to get listed! maybe try and create some hype around your project to attract cz attention ;D
