That means your BCH address is not registered on the blockchain or it's only a bug. I think that's the only bug consider when you are putting your BCH address into the blockchain explorer and there will be 2 kind of addresses will appear.
The first should be bitcoin related address
the second should be BCH related address

You must check it, have you used the right explorer to check your address?

You will most likely see that format as "Unknown" in blockchain explorer for BCH. I think all of the BCH is tagged like that when you view it. And I supposed that it is blockchain explorer error itself. Maybe they don't recognized the format.

Most important thing is that you got your BCH in your wallet when you try to used blockchain explorer. Try other alternatives like: https://explorer.bitcoin.com/bch

If your address starts with a 1 or a 3 then it is a legacy address and it might not be recognized by block explorers. There was also a Copay format that only Copay and Bitpay wallets used. Currently the format that is universally recognized is cashaddr where addresses start with a q or a p.

Also, you should make sure you are using a bcash explorer and not a bitcoin explorer.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is fork from Bitcoin. You can claim your Bitcoin Cash if you have private key of the Bitcoin address that hold some bitcoin before the snapshot for that fork.

Can you post (or PM) the address?

As for Ledger: you can use it with Electrum (and various Forked versions for Forkcoins) instead of Ledger's own software. DO NOT enter your Ledger seed words into Electrum, but let the Ledger handle the addresses, transactions and verification. See Ledger: Set up Electrum (https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005161925-Set-up-and-use-Electrum).
Be careful not to accidentally send Forkcoins that lack replay protection to an address you don't own.
