Title: Is there any good alternative to Bitgo Wallet?
Post by: aucoinmaster on April 09, 2021, 08:10:45 AM
I want to use Bitgo wallet onto our own P2P crypto exchange so we don't need to develop own wallets. The problem is monthly charges from Bitgo will be too much if we don't have enough revenue to cover the cost.

I am wondering if there is any alternative to Bitgo wallet.IF you know such choices, please let me know.

thanks

You can find some alternative in this thread here ['list] Bitcoin Payment Processors (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5259548.0)

BTCPay is good, trusted and you can run full node (but require high storage) or you can use Lunanode too for less fees charged.

Is Bitgo is a payment processor? I can see its just an exchange and lending platform when I open their official site but never hears of it until now.

@OP, the real wallet don't have any charges to hold your cryptos but what kind of assets you wanted to store there?

Is the monthly charge you're thinking about? since you're going to make your own P2P exchange, why not also hire someone that will create it for you instead of taking the service through them if you're worried about it.

In the long run, you'll save more and there will be a cut-off expense if what you are expecting comes.

It's like a company that provides services as I've read their website.

without significant investment,we cant hire someone to create own wallet.

If you dont have enough funding, why dont want to start a crowdfunding campaign instead using third party to operate your funds.
One day your business will stop all of a sudden, because some issues with your wallets might appear on BitGo side. Dont forget the rule "not your key, not your bitcoin". BitGo does not give you private keys. They control your customers funds, but your customers will blame and start claims against you. "In case of fire" you wont be able to point finger on BitGo and get away clean.

I hope bitgo wallet gives users private keys? If Yes just import your private keys into trust wallet or atomic wallet, only centralised wallets that gives user no private keys are the ones that makes their own gas fee and they can't be adjusted

It is an exchange so they ae not giving you the private keys, they collect funds and you can withdraw them as you wanted.

Wallets also significant if you want to run an exchange successfully so building your own wallet should be your priority instead of luring more customers now.

I understand it now and that's your option as you're just starting out. But it's best for you to have your own developer instead of just renting out. Your own P2P exchange should run onto your own platform and you're the provider of your wallet.

It's not like that you're just going to avail a cloud service that would the thing for you. Well, that's just an opinion but hopefully you find your other option that will fit to your standards.
