While Bitcoin is have name more than ethereum, and what's the difference between altcoins and main coin called Bitcoin, since i been hearing about crypto I don't hear the name ethereum, litecoin, cash coin and ripple the way Bitcoin name is circulating the world, what is secret behind Bitcoin.

Don't be surprised when the name Bitcoin is more popular in the crypto space than other Altcoins, because Bitcoin is the first coin that was born into the crypto space so that it is able to hit the world and this is one of the reasons for several other reasons in my opinion.

Altcoins are alternative cryptocurrencies , there are over 9000 altcoins now, but all of them have total marketcap that is not up to that of bitcoin. Bitcoin dominance is more than 50%, and for long term now. There was a time last year and the beginning of this year when bitcoin dominance was more than 65% if compared to that of altcoins. This is one of the valid reasons and the main valid reason bitcoin is regarded separately alone, while others are called altcoins.

Bitcoin is the only one original coin, while rest of them created as claimed to be better than Bitcoin to solve life problem of bla bla bla :P

Ethereum is less decentralized, Litecoin is copy-pasted of Bitcoin codes, Cash coin or Bitcoin cash is forks of Bitcoin (copy-pasted too), Ripple is shitcoin pretty much as centralized banking system... better to hold fiat rather than Ripple.

The main difference between bitcoin and other altcoins is that there is only one bitcoin, while there are more than 10 thousand altcoins. An alternative coin that has all the needed lacking characteristics of bitcoin and well improved functionality and  captured most of the market's cap other than altcoins.

There are many differences that I can list such as the formation mechanism, the history of the Bitcoin, the larger Bitcoin community than the altcoin, the influence, the popularity of the market, the technology factor Bitcoin is older than most altcoins ...
What I see as the most difference between altcoins and Bitcoin is that Bitcoin's huge cap and Bitcoin's influence on all altcoins.
If we pay attention to when Bitcoin falls in value over the long term, there is hardly a single altcoin that can increase in value.

It is because the first of them all and the ones that's already considered by majority of the people who know about it as the store of value. Bitcoin is like the most chosen cryptocurrency and that's why even someone who just heard about cryptocurrencies, they'll tell you they know about bitcoin even they're not really an investor. The other altcoins are also popular but mostly for newbies when somebody has educated them that there's more pump in altcoins.

I think your question was already answered with the replies above, And it was simple Bitcoin as a pioneering cryptocurrency is more popular than any other coins or cryptocurrencies in the Market. But in terms of transaction speed, decentralization, and privacy, I believe that some of the altcoins today are already more capable than Bitcoin. But besides that reality Bitcoin remains a dominant cryptocurrency not just in Market Capitalization but also in popularity.  

as altcoin have with different blockchain network, with the future terms of entrance there might be there different option on market exchange as trader wants to work on appeals with the trading, as with the distinctive on customs with the drawing of chart as developer works on reference as qualifying different initials as managing release of offers of product and service and more with the chance on finance.

Yes, you cannot hear that much from other altcoin because this forum is mostly about Bitcoin.
There ain't that much secret behind Bitcoin, though there could be something that Satoshi only knows.

No main coin and no sub coin in crypto. Bitcoin and alternative or alternate cryptocurrency (altcoins).

Did you know about crypto by hearing about bitcoin first. It is an unofficial recognition for bitcoin. If people hear or read about cryptocurrency, the first they are invited is bitcoin. Newspaper will talk about bitcoin first because bitcoin is the leader of this market. Bull market or bear market will begin with bitcoin. Altcoins only follow bitcoin trend and they only confirm the trend of bear or bull.

No secret. Bitcoin is a public ledger. Everyone have Internet access can read its white paper and other resources about bitcoin.

Bitcoin in general is the alpha dog of crypto . It's main purpose is to hold the network security over time while Ethereum and others have different use cases for each cryptocurrency feature.

it is only natural that you have never heard of a name other than bitcoin before, or even heard of a coin that is still foreign to this day because there are so many alternative coins. However, when you enter the world of crypto, bitcoin is the first thing you will hear because it is the number 1 crypto at the moment which originally had no price. this pretty much-inspired people to create altcoins. Once you find out about crypto, you will find the popular altcoins afterward. it is normal.

Actually BTC isn't the first of it's kind, there where two or more projects before BTC but failed, so I can say that BTC is the first crypto project that works making it the grandmaster of all crypto coins, that's why other coins are called alts

As an add on, Bitcoin is the most dominant crypto currency and well-known in crypto world while Altcoins, comes from its first three letters alt which means alternative coins. Those are coins comes from different project that have different platform which need to be focus and achieve.

If that's is the case, so while do we have altcoins board here, I believe that this forum is versatile that is the reason different board's are created, actually bitcoin is the owner of the forum, while is politics and society is here, does it relates to bitcoin, and while off topic in is here also, I disagree with your opinion.

The difference between Bitcoin and any cryptocurrency is that Bitcoin has a life of its own, altcoins do not, because they all depend on Bitcoin and its movements.

Bitcoin has a history of more than 10 years, this allows to analyze from a superior point of view with respect to the other altcoins, Bitcoin since its inception in 2009 has exceeded the market stages that are relevant, such as the Accumulation stage, bullish trend , Distribution Stage, bearish trend, this is enough to realize that Bitcoin does not fit in the Bubble classification as many enemies of Bitcoin claim.

Currently Bitcoin is with a large market capitalization index, some claim that the second stage of accumulation has already passed, that we are currently in the stage of re-accumulation or bullish trend, this is merely speculative, but the main reason for Bitcoin is Different from Altcoins, is that most Altcoins do not have a history like Bitcoin, it is difficult to establish an analysis knowing that there are so many altcoins being created and others that are already in circulation. Some altcoins are well established under a good project and backed by community, price, listed in Exchanges and with improvements and updates, this means that Blockchain-based technology can improve its operation, and even if they do not have much history it can be established as reliable currencies .

Bitcoin is the original crypto created by satoshi while altcoin already created by some developers who have been forking it to generate another new coin based on the bitcoin code. That means if altcoinw as a fork of bitcoin. You must have learned more about the history of bitcoin and altcoin.

Anything that isn't bitcoin (includes forked coins too), are called altcoins, but they all are crypto currencies and mainly powered by the blockchain tech. Both are different. It is like comparing apples and oranges. Altcoins and bitcoins have features and protocols that makes them divergent. Each coins has their own use cases and unique feature unless they are one of those shit/scam coins which are usually clone of some currently well established coins. Those shitcoins have nothing unique to provide and are made to pump/dump and scam their investors. On the flip side, well known different altcoins each try to provide solutions to currently existing problems with bitcoin in their own ways!

Many difference.
First, bitcoin have the safest network on earth and we still dont know about altcoin. Many altcoin now created to scam people btc. I know there are a lot of legit project too.
Second, bitcoin holder is above all other crypto. Including celebrities and richest man on earth ( elon musk )

Bitcoin is the first crypto coin and it is highly adopted around the world. Bitcoin is accepted at various platform as payment method since so long. And it remains at the top of crypto market always. Btc have less limited supply. While most of the alts have huge max supply. People believe that investing in Bitcoin is more secure than investing in alts. Tesla accept btc as a payment method, there are various example like this. For these reasons the popularity of bitcion increasing and it is ruling the crypto world above altcoins.

Even Bitcoin can be called an altcoin. Since Bitcoin was the first crypto currency, it has gained a huge market and its value and its outspoken. I am here since 2016 and i have seen bitcoin grow from 500$. Every altcoin has no difference besides their projects and values. All are crypto currencies.
