Title: What is being done with the exchange CoinBene ?
Post by: dexter141 on April 12, 2021, 06:51:35 PM
Blocked tokens, lost accounts, deleting messages in telegrams, and that's not all that happens with CoinBene.
My story is that my CoinBene wallet has 157,000 MVL tokens (currently $ 6,382), but I can't withdraw them for two and a half years because the wallet is currently under maintenance
It seems to me that two and a half years is too much to maintenance a wallet .....
And this applies not only to MVL tokens, I counted about 20 of them.
Also they do not give a clear answer when the tokens will be unlocked, and delete the messages in the telegram concerning this problem.
You have had similar problems and what can you advise in this situation?

Did they require you for the KYC because of that? on their telegram, message the admin and ask them to assist you. Are you just chatting on the group and not messaging the admin? you should've messaged the admin or staff so that they can assist with what you're problematic about. But beware about the scammers that imitates them.
And about wallet maintenance, not on their exchange but usually it's that the coin's network itself that the devs are having trouble and that's why they're also affected but in your case, for that long, it's still on maintenance? that's really odd.

It seems that they already have a bad reputation here on the forum some people already been scam in the Coinbene exchange.

Look:
- Scam Exchange Coinbene - be careful (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5138863.20)
- Coinbene Scam? - Account frozen, Support not Helping (Telegram full of Scammers) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5302516.0)
- PLEASE HELP!! COINBENE SCAM??? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4871232.0)
- coinbene scam? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4955146.0)

Have you tried to trade your MVL token for other coins instead? USDT or other altcoins that are not under maintenance and try to withdraw them after you exchange them to other altcoins.

If you can't able to trade it from their exchange then it means they are a scam. Much better warn the other in the "scam accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)"

You do mean this MVL? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/mvl/markets/

Im aint seeing Coinbene included in one of those markets or i have mentioned out the wrong Coin.
Coinbene does have lots of issues which had been mentioned above.Try on the recommendation above on converting it out on other coins like BTC or ETH or others as long
you can make conversion and try to withdraw.

They are still listed in coinbene - https://www.coinbene.com/spot/exchange/MVL_ETH

But with the current rate, selling at the available buy orders, OP can just barely get about 0.2 ETH. Unless, he will sell it to a much higher price, in which, he is aiming here to have $6.3k. And that will take time. Coinbene support should at least answer your basic questions on how to proceed with your case. If they are not answering you, maybe it is time to open a scam thread on them.

It's an old problem that stretches for almost 2 years, and they don't seem to help. I took the trouble and checked through their telegram group history and there are so many members complaining about the same issue over and over again but the response they get from the customer care representative is just the same. That they have to wait until an announcement is made :(

It's funny that for almost 2 years, they even don't know when the fuck the wallet is coming online  ::)

I don't get troubles with CoinBene exchange with deposit, withdrawal or trading. I don't use the exchange in last 3 months and can not say what is going on CoinBene recently.

My experience with it for trading. They have wash volume and the bot operations on CoinBene is awful. The spread of buy and sell prices are high and you can only take profit if price has a strong upward movements. If the price is not moving up strongly, you can only sell and take profit at few price below the highest buy orders. If you set your sell orders at top buy orders, bots will move it down in milliseconds.

It is not a good exchange to use. Scam or not, I can not say about it.

I wrote to the administrators of the telegram group, but they have had one answer for two years:
"At present, the MVL wallet is currently under maintenance and cannot be withdrawn or make deposit.  Please
pay attention to the platform announcement for the specific opening time."

You said everything right. Trading volumes and price are ridiculous. people sell tokens at that price because of the impasse. I'm also thinking of selling, because it's better to have at least a couple of dollars than to lose them forever. For two years there was no specific answer when it will be possible to trade tokens, and I think there will be no answer.

Thanks for the info. In the past, I have used this exchange a lot, in particular, using it as a transshipment point for exchanging coins and further withdrawing them to electronic payment systems.
I generally don't trust exchanges, but this one seemed to hold out long enough. It is strange that they started having problems during the bull run.

The problems didn't just start recently, they have been there for a while. You were just lucky that you were not one of the victims. I suggest you take care and avoid using their service as much as possible and look for alternatives.
We have lots of p2p and centralized exchanges that can also  let you withdraw your funds through electronic payment methods without any incident.

That's already decided if they've said that. Wait if you contact the developers of the MVL coin and ask them why coinbene is still under maintenance for their wallet.
Although in some of the exchanges they are listed, they have low liquidity and volume which the trade goes on.

I have a similar issues with yours dude, its been 2 years almost now that I cannot withdraw my balance over this exchange(Coinbene).
after a couple of months of not opening my account at coinbene, after 8 or 9 months not so sure I can't log in anymore. Then, my 2Fa code also is not working as well, its been several times that I sent a message to their support but nothings happened also just like yours. I have 241, 000 of Pundix over this exchange actually.

They will never give you any answer anymore regarding your fund. I do believe they were blocking your account and im sorry for your lost but you should learn never try to keep or even using the garbage exchange site like coinbene. I have used this exchange site once and i just do a fast and short-term trade.
I was not facing a serious problem with this exchange site but again i was not using this exchange site to hodl my funds.
We can't give you any advise consider you have tried all of the solutions. Move on.

You mean 241,000 NPXS and when it's swapped to PUNDIX about 241 PUNDIX in USD with current rate is around $900.
You should learn to not hold the coin on exchange, because it's a matter of time until you lose your coin there.

This is the review about Coinbene, many issues with that exchange https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.coinbene.com

I have never used this exchange. But after reading your post, it seems that CoinBene is not a good exchange ... I mostly like the binance exchange and this has never happened to me.

I am sorry for your loss but I do not think that they are interested fix this issue because it has already been two and a half years and their wallet is still in maintenance. Better not use CoinBene.

It all started on March 26, 2019. Analytical company Elementus published the results of the investigation. On March 25, $ 105 million was withdrawn from the hot wallets of the exchange to three different addresses, after which the activity of these addresses completely stopped for 8 hours. The next day, funds from the hot wallets of the stock exchange began to be transferred to its cold wallets. It was on this day that complaints began to arrive from users about the impossibility of withdrawing assets.

I've trade tokens on coinbene most times, it was a exchange I could recommend when it first launched but things changed when few people complained of losing fund to the exchange and they don't get any refund, google coinbene scam and see for yourself, truth is don't trade large amount of coins or tokens on small exchanges

They definitely changed from being a somewhat good exchange to more or less shady business. I think your chance of getting back your money is close to zero. In the future, stick with reputable exchanges and avoid these middle-to-bottom exchanges.

You said everything right. I was wrong. But it taught me and gave me some experience for the future. It is better to learn from the mistakes of others. Maybe this topic will warn people against the same mistake I made ...
