Title: Polkadot account creation question
Post by: Galahad on April 13, 2021, 05:21:37 PM
I've been trying to understand Polkadot lately but I'm still a bit lost on the accounts when using https://polkadot.js.org/ .

The top left menu lets you switch to a different coin/network. But when I create an account I can't tell which coin that is relevant for.

Is it like an Ethereum account where it can contain tokens from any other Ethereum token? Or are Polkadot coins all need separate addresses?

The first  account I created seems to appear in any of the networks I select, but when I created a second one is only appears under Clover where I created it.

When I click on "Add Account" it shows the Seed and other details but it does not say what I can / can't use this account for.

AFAIK, you need to bridge your blockchain first before making the transaction which is something like connecting MEW to metamask I guess but actually I don't have any idea about it. Even upon reading the FAQ section https://polkadot.network/faq/ didn't gave me any idea about it.
