Yes, it is indeed a legit and real coin that is circulating in the market. The sudden pump of dogecoin is not because of the tweet of Mr. Elon Musk or someone's tweet. It pumped because it's either someone bought a huge volume of it, burning tokens or trend manipulation by the whales and many more possible reasons.

You will need to do your own research inorder to decide what coin has a good potential and which is not worth investing in, do not make investment advice based on opinions of others; do your own research.

Is Dogecoin a real coin and have a good potential or just pumped because Elon Musk tweets?
Being pumped does not mean a coin is worth investing in, whether the price movement is manipulated by whales or an organic growth. If you're looking for a coin to invest in, especially long term, do not focus on intermittent price changes, rather research on the dynamics of the token or coin.

It is a real coin but if I am not mistaken it has stopped development a long time ago or it is just made as a meme for crypto.
You could see the price chart of Dogecoin that it has been stable for a very long time I think we could say that it is much stable than those who claims to be stable coin (LOL).
It is just gaining attention right now because of elon and other pump and dump group.

As real as Elon make it to be, lol, ofcourse dogecoin is a real coin only it was design as a fun or meme coin but now the project seem to catch the interest of big names like Musk who seem to tweet about dogecoin from time to time and ignite fire on the price pump, now doge is trading at $0.27 107% up, something many never thought would happen with this coin.  :o

Doge is a real coin but we called that as meme coin consider doge has no roadmap, developers or anything related to the usability.
Doge is getting pumped due to the elon's tweet. This guy has been always shilling for doge since last year. Doge has no active development or even good technology but the doge chain is scalable enough to be used as a micropayment system. THis is a hyped coin for now.

There should be no doubt about Dogecoin. It is a completely legit coin which is also known as Meme coin, If you want to know more about it then you should read this article - What is Dogecoin? (http://"https://cointikka.com/what-is-dogecoin/").

Elon Musk did instigate the pump but now it is pumped by the whales. I remember a few years back you could buy 300k doge for just 16 or 17 satoshis. But, now it is ranked the 8th on coinmarketcap, and till when it will stay there is a mystery.

In my opinion, the DogCoin coin is just beginning its development and is gradually developing, step by step. Thus, DogCoin has great prospects for the future and will become a very popular coin in the near future. So for now, you can only invest in this coin and wait for the coin to become in demand in the cryptocurrency market.

What is a real or unreal coin in your definitions?

I don't have my definitions for them and cryptocurrencies are cryptocurrencies but their centralization or decentralization are different. Their source codes are different, original codes or copy and paste products from open source codes of older coins.

Quote
I mean is that Dogecoin has a good technology and active development... or is a fake coin!!!
Dogecoin does not have developments but the communities are global. Simple description, the coin is accepted on many exchanges, many gambling sites and many services. It is a unique coin if you consider how funny when it was created and many years after its birthday.

Tweets are like news and cryptocurrencies run with news.

Yes, the dogecoin currency is traded on most platforms and is also accepted as payments in some services, as for the price increase resulting from the injection of money and will be discharged later. We have seen the majority of altcoins grow at the beginning of this year and do not know how long the bubble will last. Undoubtedly, there will be weak and false currencies, so we must pay attention before investing and identifying reliable projects!!!

Yes, Dogecoin is a real coin which is on its way to pumps up most especially it was mentioned by a known person in tweeter which is a proof that it is a good coin. It grows like a little seed that developed more and more which catches people's heart because of the success it shows to everyone.

From meme coin at the beginning, and now become the top 5 coin lists. That surprise many people who join the crypto world a long time ago and they do not even think that Dogecoin can surpass the new highest price this year. Many people are making the biggest profit from Dogecoin and willing to buy the coin from a long time ago. Dogecoin proves that the old one can survive and beat the new coins or tokens with a good project. The price still increases and I wonder when it will stop.

if we talk about real or fake coins obviously doge is a real coin but when we talk about that potential we have to look at the dynamics as well as the ins and outs of the coin itself.
and if doge itself we all know its growth up to this extent is due to the services of an elon musk
roughly this is pumped only at the initiation of a billionaire and this is very clearly visible.
but to invest long term we can't just because looking at the coin in terms of someone's pump alone we have to see the prospects of the coin being good or not.

but that does not mean it has a long term potential, it is good as a stepping stone since it is mainly focused on meme and hype. from my own perspective, it is kind of way from the whale to introduce cryptocurrency to the masses by showing them what cryptocurrency capable of. after more people coming in, I am positive it will bleed for the next few years non stop because it does not have any real usecase other than being a meme.
if you are going to make some quick buck, it is not a problem to invest on it but it is definitely not for the long term.

Yep dogecoin is a real digital coin but this coin was just made for fun by the developer so there is no use case of this coin except for transferring funds because of the low fee. The dogecoin was survived because people like the meme they embraced it, the community is growing so as the price and add Elon Musk who always promotes doge. It would be a big achievement for dogecoin to reach $1 price.

It is real coin but investment community is giving more attention to this coin after Elon is tweeting about it, and reached a new all-time high again after one more tweet. And also it has potential too because it is cheaper so people who want to transact cryptos can use this and also crypto gambling community adopted to DOGE coin more in the recent months.

How it comes into your mind asking like that?
Dogecoin has existed in the market for a very long time, that it proves enough that it is a legit coin.

Elon Musk is shilling on Doge, can't deny that but that is not related to how this coin exists. That actually Dogecoin has less market potential, why? Dogecoin price development is so slow and that gives a reason why investors don't consider this coin for their investment. I was happy that Elon Musk shills Doge but that it seems not it works and still the price kept at low, unlike the other coins who made an x5, x10 increase.

Dogecoin has nothing to do with being a real coin. It's just one of the shitcoins in the market. Their creators even made it for fun and they weren't expecting it to reach this level. If it weren't for Elon Musk, it couldn't have risen this much. His manipulation rate is really high.

Doge coin was a meme coin. The main purpose for the creation of this coin was for a joke coin and no more. If you wanna ask about the fungibility of token or development progress and the answer is doge has no developers that can continue the development of doge coin. Doge coin already abandoned by the developers since a few years ago.
There's no party that can handle doge coin right now. doge coin just like bitcoin that none control it.

If you will consider doing a little research about the history of Dogecoin you will know that Doge is just a meme coin, without any further debate about technicalities Dogecoin was not intended or purposely used for payment or even for investment because it was just a meme coin. But because of a famous personality who shills it like Elon Musk thats why Dogecoin was artificially pumped without any useful demand for me the risk is very high when we say about holding Dogecoin for a long period that was may say about it.

Hi,

Dogecoin is not thought to be useful for anything, just a meme, as already said.

BUT

1. If you want to bring Crypto to mainstreet, it could be a good idea to create a meme around it, to push people to buy it, and create a pump effect, to bring more people to be interested in cryptos.

2. Something created without any goal, left without any control on it, and that would become mainstreet wellknowned and spread, could be a good starting point to create a worldwide adopted money.

3. Someone with a very large amount of money, could finance new development and enhancement on such a crypto.

Just some thoughts...  ;)

Dogecoin is, indeed, a real coin with real technology and development. But that doesn't mean the current market price is justified. The DOGE is currently ranked fifth in terms of market capitalization due to a massive supply. On a technical level, however, there are cryptocurrencies with much superior characteristics that are rated lower than it. The current price is inflated mostly due to current hype, and all investors should exercise extreme caution.

Doge is an old cryptocurrency and it was created with inspiration from a dog meme. It seems that the community has pushed its value too far beyond its own. Doge is different from Bitcoin, its decentralization, scarcity, and demand cannot be compared to Bitcoin. I believe that after FOMO for Doge will soon end to give the stage to more quality blockchain projects.

In my personal opinion, dogecoin isn't a real coin cus I've never heard of any technology behind it or any crypto or outside cryptoproblem it's trying to solve or solving, dogecoin has always been a meme coin, meaning that it was created for nothing but just fun, even the developers I think stopped working on the project in a very long time, just like a member already said, dogecoin started getting noticed by whales after Elon musk started sharing tweets about the coin, this has made many people to blindly start investing in the coin and this has also brought around several pump and dump group to start using dogecoin for their activities, so for me, dogecoin is just a lucky shitcoin is highly not recommended to invest in most especially now that it's in its all time high, if it goes down, it might never see this price again in a very long time except something changes about its development in the future.

For me, every coin that has value is not considered as a joke coin just like Doge because look at it now. Doge has a huge supply but now you cannot just give it as for tipping purposes because it's value is increasing. It was just undervalued and lucky to those who hodl millions of Doge up until now.

This coin is totally a bubble. It has no technology or active developments. It's more like a fun token created by some crypto fan inspired by a doge meme. I think the price of a doge is way beyond its real value. Also, it's at its very pick right now and is not very safe to enter in that project. All this pumped happened because of Elon's tweet.

In all respects, in truth, Dogecoin's are not serious. The Dogecoin logo, for example, is inspired by memes. Instead of using a bold and serious symbol, he features a Shiba Inu dog meme as his mascot. Even though Elon Musk's tweet has inflated Dogecoin's price, it will not be known exactly what made Elon Musk suddenly post a few tweets about Dogecoin.

I would love to say no, I would love to say that it was only Elon that made it higher, and I would love to say that you should stay away from it. However I have said the same thing when it was 6 cents I think, and look where it is today, it has increased INSANELY high this year, and no matter what the reason is, it did increased and that is why it is really weird to say that it is a fake one. Sure the main idea, and everything about it is fake, and it is just a "meme coin" in the end, but that doesn't mean that it is not real neither, it is quite literally the most increased coin of the year, so I can't really tell anyone to stay away from it.

I personally will never invest into it, it can go up as much as it wants and I would still stay away from it as much as I can, but that doesn't mean that I could suggest something like that to anyone else neither.

Doge started as a meme, however, I don't agree that doge has no real use case. It has been years that doge is used in the gambling area as it has cheaper fees than other alts. Also, a lot of traders are using it for transfer purposes because for the same reason, cheaper fees. Aside from that, it is trading in a lot of exchanges. So transferring from one exchange to another is not that hard. Its use case has evolved from a joke to most used alts in gambling and transfer purposes.

It is not difficult to know many things if you treat the internet as one of the places of information. I came across an interesting article that has been published since 2013 and maybe you can find some information there. What is Dogecoin? The Meme that Became the Hot New Virtual Currency (https://www.ibtimes.co.uk/what-dogecoin-meme-that-became-hot-new-virtual-currency-1429847).

Doge is a legitimate cryptocurrency just like any other cryptocurrency. Regarding the price pump, there are quite a number of reason that exist even though people continue to associate Elon Musk as the main culprit. The technology in Doge Coin can be said to be more similar to Litecoin, where transaction speed is preferred.

Dogecoin is a real coin, there is no doubt about it. However there is no technology or project behind this coin. It is one of the oldest coin in the industry and people call it a "Meme Coin"
You can invest in this coin only if you think it can pump by the elon musk tweets but fundamentally and technically there is nothing much in this coin.

But it has no value until recently when Elon Musk started to pump this coin through his tweets. It might perform well in the current bull run all because of its hype but i don't think this coin can be in our holding portfolio. Just buy this coin and exit it as soon as it pumps.

Dogecoin is a real coin. It has been around for years and definitely will be around for the future. It might not be as popular as BTC or ETH but still there are plenty of investors. If you look at the dogecoin price you see that there was already higher trading before the Elon Musk tweet, this is due to a higher interest from reddit users. If you already own coins I would keep them and if you want to buy some, I would keep an close eye on the price and buy when the price drops a bit.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't Dogecoin have very low transaction fees? That would be a good reason for it to be used as long as it is solid and a properly functioning network. That seems to be the case for now.

Doge was made just to joke (meme coin), but I didn't think that the price could go up that high and I think Doge price could reach $1 if Doge had a lot of support and became more popular, but of course the risk of investing in Doge is also very big, because the possibility that the price of Doge could fall can also happen, therefore if you do not dare to invest with a big risk, then I do not recommend you to invest in Doge.

It is a real coin, in fact one of the oldest. It has any excellent use case? Other than the fact it is used for tipping users in community, nope. It gets pumped and dumped regularly. Every time Elon says "doge", the price skyrockets and then falls. Dogecoin didn't have any active development until the last price rise. When the price started to go up, the developers decided to work again and keep it updated (at least that's what I have heard).
Not a fake coin, has active community but too risky to invest.

he thought Dogecoin was an asset that had just entered the crypto market.
actually, Dogecoin has been very popular and has been in the crypto market for so long. especially for gambling lovers, surely they also know how crypto gambling sites use Dogecoin.
I also first got to know Dogecoin from a gambling game. and it looks very popular in the community.
And when you look at what is currently happening to Dogecoin, maybe a lot of crypto gamblers regret having to waste their Dogecoin for nothing because the price is currently experiencing a high increase.

And yeah I have the same thought if it is not the best time to jump in into doge right now.

Hello,
Is Dogecoin a real coin and have a good potential or just pumped because Elon Musk tweets? I mean is that Dogecoin has a good technology and active development... or is a fake coin!!!

Thank you.
Yes of course, dogecoin is a real cryptocurrency, I can't say anything about its potential I think that's up to you to do a proper research before thinking of investing, doge is driven by its large community I don't know if it has potentials, but seeing the price pump crazily since yesterday makes me remember we are in the crypto world where any coin can just pump for no reason, and there isn't any active developments happening on dogecoin that's because the core devs have already abandoned the project a long time again.

I agree that Dogecoin is a real currency that has wide popularity, It started out as a joke. Now, defying all odds, dogecoin is worth $40 billion, and its price has risen by a whopping 400% in the last seven days, I think that this currency will have an effect in the future, and I advise everyone to invest it.

I don't think a lot of people see Dogecoin as an asset that has the capability to do all of this.
the community and the market are wide, but there is no real function of this altcoin. that is the reason most people will not hold Dogecoin in the long run.
but now all the thoughts about bad assets and meme assets have been broken. the strong pump makes doge is currently much talked about by the community.

Dogecoin is a meme coin, nothing special, technically and fundamentally unattractive, and the price has gone up recently due to strong market sentiment due to elon musk tweet.
Be careful if you want to invest in Dogecoin, my advice is to look for another coin that is better, like HOT, the price is still cheap and fundamentally or technologically better than Dogecoin

Dogecoin isn't a *fake coin* like most altcoins you see around, which are product of speculative ICOs. Dogecoin has a long story in crypto universe since many years ago, since 2013. It is seen as a legit funny currency and for this reason many people joined the hype. I'm not sure, however, if there is a technical explanation behind doge's pump, besides cheap transaction fee.
It looks like doge's fan base is really strong and was hugely boosted recently by Elon Musk fans and himself investments as well. That is all...

Doge coin is a real coin. Elon Musk must have instigated the previous pump, but has since been taken over by the crypto community. It has no active developers as at when it was been trending. It's a Meme coin and it's equally a show of people's power when they are united. these days meme and experimental tokens are pumping. Look at SHIB, FREECOIN, SAFEMOON they are been inspired by dogecoin.

will either be like a doge or not. but doge has a bigger market. Their community is strong because indeed many holders come from miners and big market communities.

Is DOGE a real coin?? Yes it is a real coin or at least it is considered as a well-established digital currency right now because it has been there for a long time and there are some who are using it for transaction purposes.
Is DOGE have a good potential?? The fact that this coin is just a meme coin, the fact that the price of it is heavily driven by hype and the fact that this coin has an unlimited supply is a proof that this hasn't have any potential or at least there are no reasons to hold it long term in my opinion.

DOGE isn't a fake coin but considered a meme coin, a hyped coin and a pump and dump coin.

DOGE is a real coin and for now, DOGE is a dangerous coin. I think all of you should be more careful in investing in cryptocurrency on coins that have been pumped because of tweets. Elon Musk currently looks better than Mc Afee, I don't know what silly things he will mention in the future, it will make him the second McAfee to become a cryptocurrency ambassador on twitter. Elon has too much power to manipulate the cryptocurrency market today.
He ruined the DOGE ecosystem which previously only wanted to use DOGECOIN as a fun coin, now it has become a more serious DOGECOIN for speculation. Everyone is going to use their brains and in-depth analysis for DOGECOIN, and that's very unpleasant because every user will be under pressure

Yep, it will certainly be mentioned a lot in this market, a scenario that no one would have imagined that dogecoin is going crazy in the market. Since it received attention from Elon Musk, it has almost turned into a diamond in the crazy bull market and has not run out of fomo about it, very likely the next time the doge will reach $1.

Freecoin is not new it has been here since about 2018 here is their post on bitcointalk April 2018 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3267883.0. They actually run on 3 blockchains: The ERC20, TRC20 and BEP20, and has 288k+ holders on BEP20 alone.

yes, its real coin, Dogecoin is a meme cryptocurrency invented software engineers by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer, and he decided to create a payment system that is instant, fun, and free from traditional banking fees.

Of course you can't see it as top 5 in coinmarketcap if isn't genuine and not trustworthy project. As the matter of fact the possibility/future of this coin is very clear than other alts.. "The stats in the market can tell!" ..  That's why no wonder why it belongs to top coins ever since before IMO.. And Fyi doge is the only coin that glowing in the market despite of the corrections.

I want to know why OP is asking this one. I'm not sure if he does the research prior to this or he is just asking if Dogecoin could really be profitable and suitable for a long-term investment just like Bitcoin.

DOGEcoin is one of the known coin in market, you might never see that coin in progress if it is not legit.
Elon Musk has a huge contribution to its huge pump, people are buying such tweets and made them in FOMO seeing it was backup by Elon Musk.

In my own opinion. Yes, it's real as long as people will use it, buy or sell it. Some people might think it's not because it started as joke and was base in meme.

It is real and it does have value. I have been using it to bet on dice site before the dice site is shutting down (break) for the meantime so, yes it is real and legit. You should do more research about dogecoin so you will know more about it especially if you are interested in knowing about dogecoin and owning some dogecoin.

As for the meme coin's nature, I don't think there's anything better for it to consistently explode except for the fomo impact on a hype from Elon Musk.  no identity, no product.  I'm not a fan of fomo to make money.  So if you go along it.  be sure to use your seat belt. Lol

Dogecoins got value which makes it a real one like any other coin, I guess. But, if you look into the story behind the creation of dogecoins, then definitely be will get into doubts like whether it is really having value and it is really a coin. Because, it was created for fun purposes like memes and the purpose of dogecoin is just to prove its devs that they know how to create altcoins and nothing more as far as I understood.

But, it is time to forget all those drama and we should focus on buying it cheaper to enjoy easy profits in coming days. It means being it real or not is anymore a concern. Let's just enjoy the returns we deserve by investing in dogecoins.

In my opinion, the DOGE coin  real coin, and this coin was made several years ago, but the DOGE coin is not as famous as other altcoins, so this coin is rarely known by the public, only in 2021 DOGE coins has skyrocketed thanks to the tweetan of great entrepreneur, Elon Musk, so this coin has shocked the crypto market, I think this altcoin is like coin meme that seems too forced, but I am personally happy to see this coin grow because I also hold this coin, I hope the doge coin can last longer in the crypto,

I won't say it's a fake coin as it is also a tested and trusted coin in the market for long but I think the dev of Doge is not much active. In my opinion, I don't count Doge as a potential coin. I feel the current bull run of DOGE due to Elon's tweets. Doge is known as a MEME coin as I read but now it is more a Pumping and dumping coin. From my point of view, its risky to trade.

Of course doge is a coin worth investing in, look at the current price being pumped up as if it was endless, of the many altcoins that have been on the market for a long time maybe only Doge has shown much better performance, what's more for those who have been holding on to it a long time of course you have got maximum results, currently doge is supported openly by Elon who can always create hype in the crypto market.
just enjoy the process and see it is not impossible one day Doge can touch $ 1.

doge is a real and real coin. but for the problem of how the coin price can change drastically we need to try to do research, because we should not be fixated on the soaring price of the coin without us knowing in detail how the coin works, yes, we are required to work hard before investing.

Dogecoin is like bitcoin with the same SHA256 Hash Algorithm . But its a far different from what it made years back with its much allocated number of coins and market cap . But hey, it is pumping like hell now and I remembered I did use this a leverage several instances hedged to BTC.

Although it was created as a joke, Dogecoin is still a real coin. Overall, I'm not a big fan of this coin, but I can not deny the great interest in it from millions of people. And in my opinion, this interest is the basis of the price increase and not some achievements of the project itself. And when people like Elon Musk tweet about things like that, it always raises interest.

Well, it is a real coin because it has value, high value. Mate, if it wasn't a coin, then it wouldn't reach at this price.
For me, dogecoin has a good potential, i like to using dogecoin when sending coin from one exchange to another because the transaction fee is low. About Elon Musk, what if he has bought doge coin before he tweet about doge?  ::)

Doge coin is of course real coin coin.  Many people may think that the increase in the price of Doge Coin due to its rocket speed may be considered as a scam coin but in reality it has happened due to the pumping of Doge Coin.
l can not say that dogecoin is a real coin or something else. That is why if l would say Dogecoin is not real, it would be absurd that is why there are a lot of people who preferred investing in this coin. However, for me, Dogecoin is one of the shitcoins and you can check that. No doubt dogecoin has been so popular after Elon Musks' tweet and that is only one reason for Dogecoin pumping. There is no other reason, this coin has been made for joking, there is not any purpose. We should say the truth and all of these facts should not be denied.

Dogecoin is kinda a real deal now just because of the Elon coin and people are discussing giving the token a utility because with this kind of token it just needs a utility especially with the high market cap it is today.

So most of the time investing in Doge was just a gamble because there was no utility so definitely just about making money buying and selling, also not for long-term investment more like a  pump and dump.

It is just surprising to see the  DOGE coin reach its ATH because once it's reaching a certain price it could sustain that price and not really dumping where it can't recover anymore.
