Why people Treat "Doegcoin" As a Joke?

It's because Doge was a meme back then in 2013

And for unknown reasons, the developer of Doge created their crypto base on this that's why it became the joke or meme of cryptocurrency.

That's because it literally started as a joke. It was inspired by a Doge meme.

People are still making fun of it today because there are no significant developments since the founder left the project and sold all his coins. I like that it was used by several gambling platforms because of it's cheap fees but this coin wouldn't be taken seriously if not for the likes of Elon, WSB, and all the noob celebs.

Because it was created as a joke but these times I think that the real joke is the price and trading volume of Doge.
Doge can be issued whenever, however and how many ever by the same guy that created it (in fact it was not really a creation, just a fork) and this should say a lot about its future.

Because it was a meme coin right from the beginning? but honestly not dogecoin has deviated from being a meme coin to a cryptocurrency that you can use either to invest or send money because the liquidity is just so huge unlike it was in the past.
Although many people treat it as a joke due to the logo (shiba inu which knowns as meme coin) as well as the name I never consider it a joke, not to mention that if not for it being a meme coin big chance elon musk won't even care about this coin. It's the fact that doge is meme coin that make it succesfull.

Others have already said it.. but yea, dogecoin's creation goes back to a meme and I believe the creator even said it was a joke when he made it. His intentions for creating it was to show that anyone could make a cryptocurrency, give it a name, and have it be traded for real money. It was started as a joke, but the creator is probably a pretty happy person right now!

This coin being created as a meme coin and the developers of dogecoin was not seriously creating this coin.

There are lots of conversations about dogecoin since 2013 when the thread already created by the doge coin developers.

In my opinion, a doge coin is very easy to pump at any time that's why this altcoin is considered joke, this altcoin actually has fairly large sales volume, but the unfortunately DOGE coin is only toy coin for the enjoyment of certain parties, that's why this altcoin up in instant and down in instant, I myself am very wary of this altcoin,

Dogecoin is literally come from a joke cryptocurrency, it's an internet doge meme and it is originally from a Shiba Inu dog talking in Comic Sans font.
And this coin becomes popular when everyone talking about the meme of a dog that becomes viral in memes and even in comics font.

There are too many gambling sites that accept dogecoin and it becomes promising when also Elon Musk tweeted this recently.
And now, from being fun meme becomes you rich.

Maybe it's because of the logo design of the dogecoin the face of inu shiba dog meme so people treat dogecoin as a joke coin. And because of the popularity of the doge meme on the internet since 2013 many people catch the attention about dogecoin and one of them is elon musk one of the richest man on earth who helped to increase the price of dogecoin even more only by tweeting doge on his twitter.

Because Dogecoin was made that way, Its a meme coin, and that reputation will always be attached to Dogecoin forever, And when Elon Musk started to shill Dogecoin its price was artificially pumped to go higher but we could not set aside the fact that the more the price was pumped the risk is also going higher and this reality should be considered if anybody wants to hold Dogecoin. Anyway today I was convinced that Dogecoin became a pump and dump coin.

And the hype continues up to this day that’s why it remains one of the most volatile cryptocurrency ever since it is being manipulated by the whales and I feel sorry for those who’ll get trap on top. Yes, we can make money with DOGE especially on its current pump, but you must be more cautious to take profit because the price dump is possible, and it happened after hitting its new all time high.

And it deserves to be called a joke coin in the crypto market. And might possible also that Elon Musk is doing a joke and find this coin it worth for that.

That is how Dogecoin looks like and that is why only no-how investors will take this. I'm not sure why Elon promotes Doge or that something he needs to proves that he was an influential person that can everything and even does the pumps for a shit/joke coin in the market.

Because it was created for fun a long way back but now it is becoming one of the top preferred crypto due to Elon Musk. Its a joke coin but indeed giving profits to its holders so taking the risk will pay off some day.

Based on the statements and ideas of the experts, dogecoin is called a joke coin not because it is created as a meme coin back then, that was before. It is now called a joke coin because of a different reason which is it is highly manipulated by the whales and certain specific person. All of those chart methods, prediction methods, market strategies, etc are quite useless because doge cant forecast/predict due to the reason that more than 2/3 of its coin circulating supply is in the hands of a certain person. That makes dogecoin a joke coin from the perspective of the crypto experts.

It is a very clever marketing. How to stand out from 10000 other Bitcoin clones?  Take picture of a dog and spread memes across the internet. Doge was very popular at end of 2013 and start of 2014. At the peak of second Bitcoin cycle. 

actually because it was made from the beginning is just for jokes and insinuations to bitcoin and I can say this coin was made accidentally but is going crazy now :)

and what people here say is the 2013 meme is true because at that time jackson palmer made a joke on twitter about cryptocurrency and bitcoin that were developing at that time and combined with the meme doge shiba inu or now dogecoin.

Really? Easy to pump, did you actually mean that about a coin that has an infinite supply with already over 129 billion in circulation? How possible can that be easy to pump if it doesn't have the backing of the Doge community? Elon Musk only makes tweets about Dogecoin and then fans of Dogecoin buy in with the community shilling it further. So, you wouldn't be right to say it's easy to pump Dogecoin like a few individuals can influence it. That will take a hell of cash to make the price move more than a few digits. It's just a coincidence that Elon likes Dogecoin and tweets occasionally about it. We don't know if he actually has any unit of it or he's just shilling it without buying. I believe the market will be on frenzy once Elon makes a public declaration of his doge purchase like he did of Bitcoin. We just wait for that and that's when the real FOMO for Dogecoin will start.

Doge coin has always been a joke right from its creation, the founder created dogecoin for fun, dogecoin was never to be taken serious, people who used it used it cus of its low fees and withdrawing dogecoin from exchanges always had a very low fee and was very fast too, the coin was never backed by any technology, even the developer sold all his coins and left the project, so basically, the growth which dogecoin is seeing today is as a result of celebrities tweeting about the coin all the time, and one of them we already know, Elon musk, this is the power the rich has that the middle and average class people don't have, for me, dogecoin is not a good investment so am not in any way regretting not holding them cus for this kind of coins, their future are very hard to predict.

Dogecoin may have started as a joke, but as it stands the coin is not a joke for me. Infact I regret not taking the project seriously by having a substantial amount on my portfolio. I believe that the present trading value of dogecoin would may many other persons regret not buying dogecoin when it was much cheaper few days ago.
