Title: How Bitcoin almost made me rich
Post by: Desmong on April 18, 2021, 11:16:25 AM
Based on my little experience in the currency market four years ago, then I was still in the university then trying to make pocket money from little of my trading ideas. You know buying  a particular currency pairs at the bottom while selling at the top with few of my trading strategies like the Bollinger bands, RSI and and the moving averages.

I decided to invest in Bitcoin with the help of my new friends who are into Bitcoin trading and investments. Although at that time I didn't have substantial knowledge on how bitcoin works so, I decided to invest all my hard earn money to the extent I sold my most precious treasure which is my classical Guitar that I always use for my musical classes. Then my dream was to keep my Bitcoin for at least 1 years for it to appreciate more before selling it so I could be as rich compared to my local government chair lol. My dream!

I was working then so I decided to apply for mini jobs so as to get extra money to buy more bitcoins cause I wasn't getting enough from my currency trading. I was able to acquire 2.25 Bitcoin worth $18,000. As at 2017 one bitcoin worth about $8,000. Then the only popular crypto wallet in my region was Blockchain, so i was using it to store my Bitcoin. After a while I venture into Bitcoin investments. Never new they're all Ponzi scheme...I lost half of my Bitcoin to Ponzi scheme cos I was a novice to the cryto world.

I almost go mad when I realized that my dream of become a big boy is almost shattered. I was pain in which I couldn't think straight losing more than $9,000 worth of bitcoin. I lost focus, I couldn't continue my musical training cause my classical guitar, my enthusiasm is almost gone. I decided to dump everything about crypto currency giving it a break. I also deleted my Blockchain wallet from my phone.

Last year during the early stage of convid 19, I could remember that I had bitcoin somewhere so, I went in search of it. I reinstalled my Blockchain wallet but I couldn't logged in cos it's was asking me of my private keys. I've searched every corners, books, dairies but still couldn't find my private keys.
At least I should have not less than 1.1 bitcoin in my wallet which could worth more than $70,000. Converting this money to my country currency makes me a millionaire.

This is how my dream of becoming a millionaire was shattered by my ignorance...pls is their a narrow escape to my misfutune?

You created the wallet in 2017 if I got your information correctly.

Do you still have access to the email you used to create that wallet on blockchain.info (now is Blockchain.com)?

If you still have access to that email, you can ask for the wallet ID.
But the wallet ID is not enough, after you get it, you still need your wallet password.

Do you still remember your wallet password?
If you don't have it, the only hope is wallet seeds.

If you don't have anything, I am sorry you lost that wallet.

Chairmo, I hail thee!

Converting this money to my country currency makes me a millionaire.
That would be Naija, right?

On a more serious note, I hope you recover your Bitcoin by following the suggestions of SquirrelJulietGarden. The email thing should give you a good lead in that regard. However, I hope others learn a thing or two from your sad story not to delete wallet app without copying out vital data, no matter how angry one is. On the flip side, I believe you must've acquired the set skills for trading now.

At first honestly i don't know about ponzi and HYIP too, only know online mining but then i learn that is bad site (for me) and then never use it again. About blockchain, maybe if OP can remember his password or i mean when we create blokchain wallet at first we not get private key right, only ID which is  in email and password that we save by ourself. Maybe if OP can remember about that 2 his coin can be reclaimed.

Now, what you're describing is very common. People just don't store their private keys so privately and with outmost care as required.

You seem to have got carried away and misplaced your private key. Perhaps one day you will come across it, if not, then that's the bitter world where you

suffer the consequences of not storing your 'password' essentially to your own wallet. Let it be a well, and hard felt lesson.

I hope you come across the sheet one way.

Sorry about that but you didn't keep the recovery phrases that's been given to you by blockchain.info (.com today) which is the most vital part of making a wallet.
You shouldn't also be triggered quickly in emotion with things that happen with your surroundings and just dump everything that you've planned before. It's not too late for you to start again.

As I can see with your experience, it ended up that the thing was your fault dude, you became too confident by that time. Perhaps, by that time you don't even to keep your most precious thing in which is the private key, surely, you blame yourself. Its very pity actually. Well, at least you became rich in dream 70k$ was a very large amount of money here in my country actually. But don't worry you can still continue what you had started with, good luck.😃

That's a really sad story, @Desmong. Regardless of how bad it might feel, I'll implore you to dust yourself up and get back to the drawing board and resume working to achieve your goal of being a "Big boy" in your country/community because it's never too late to get back what you lost. There's still plenty of opportunities that would've gotten you back what you lost already, you just haven't taken them. Nonetheless, there would be even more opportunities in the near future. I have similar regrets as you but I'm determined to get back to winning ways. As far as there's life, then you can get back what you lost. Just work towards it.

now, that youve experienced carelessness in terms of handling your coins, you already know what to do next time around. even if we say, right now, it is not that worth much. but who knows, someday some of your coins will be valuable?

This is usually your own fault so it is better to give the information to someone close to you in order to keep your capital in the right way so that he can protect your bitcoin in your absence you need to change your perspective and move forward with the plan before doing so in the future. You have to correct your mistakes and the market needs to be well researched before investing in currencies there are many ways to correct a mistake in crypto, it is possible to fix the error if you have the right idea.

OP isnt the only one who had really these kind of regrets on where they do miss out on becoming wealthy because of some unexpected circumstances in life. There are really
situations which cant really be avoided and if we do let our emotions and mindset to be affected with other factors that would really be the reason on missing out those golden opportunities.

When we do look that bitcoin does have potential then better stick to it and hodl no matter what. You wouldnt know on what comes next.

Me too does have lots of missed opportunities specially on altcoin where i can say that i might already be financially free if i do have the chance on cashouting those funds.

This is miserable because by that mistake you already lose a lot of money that's why at the early stage we are trying to say that always store your private keys this is the one you need to access your wallet but its already late it took a year and its hard to remember that I think right now this is the most regrets on your life if you have any chance to remember anything keep on trying because we are talking about a large value of money so its good to take a try for this. This kind of problem will give you a lot of lessons so be careful about your next investment and storing a proper way of seeds.

you could have bought a classical guitar for less than $1000. there are good brands out there thats good as you have sold just so you can continue your music training. nothing prepares you from going into ponzi unless you really research well and asks the users and googling them to learn whether worth investing into. one rule that always works is that if it's too good to be true then it's not a good investment.

we all have that opportunity last 2017 and i hope this time we wouldn't be repeating this mistake again as we have learned a lot with it. one lesson that i have learned pretty well that is better than investing lesson is that trusting someone with my money is not good.

Not your coin, not your keys. So does a popular poem on the forum goes. Been an investor requires lot of risk and determination. Although as a novice to the crypto industr loosing your coin to ponzi happens to be part of the experience but misplacing your key out of anger and frustration wasn't the best approach.

If you value a thing you guide it with wisdom. I believe you were told to write out your private key while creating your wallet but you ignored the process. All the same as an investor you shouldn't just give up.

Learn the lesson and forge ahead. More beautiful opportunities still awaits you in the crypto industry. Study invest and earn massively. I wish you luck this time

So you've simply thrown away 9000$ worth of Bitcoin just because you were angry.
No, I don't buy that. Nice story, but no.
I like fiction, I like drama, but no. If you were at least selling those, then it would have been making sense, but as it is now, no.

OP I feel you. I also lost my wallet recently when my phone hangs up and I clicked anywhere only then I learned it made my metamask wallet reset. Though most of the coins there have no values yet, it's still painful to imagine the efforts I made to join in every promising airdrop. (This should not be my story though, lol).
Anyways, in your case, I think there's nothing we can do on that than move on. We have no one to blame but ourselves. But what's the point of blaming when it won't help us retrieve our wallets.
Let's just bear in mind that our actions, our consequences, not just in crypto but in real life.

You have learned your lesson,,, which itself is an investment well worth. You will never again put money into a ponzi, bitcoin or otherwise,,, so count your blessings. You have only lost a few years.

Less than 1% of the world owns crypto. You are still an early adopter if you start today. Think about it this way and never look back with regret:)

You're still so lucky OP that you owned bitcoin despite of lack of knowledge about it. What happened to you is a lesson you should learn so that next you will more careful and try to learn and do some research first before investing. Honestly I also joined some ponzi scheme before because all I want is to earn big but I'm wrong.

I actually read your whole statement that I don’t really use to do.  But when I was reading it, I found myself feeling cringe, sorry for this but it might we all know that this really is cringy.

You know what?
During the entire story, I felt the emotions I never wanted to feel.  Greediness, impulsiveness, procrastination, emotional weakness, trust issues (the other way), and also the ego.  These, are the main emotions, attitude and behavior that attracts misfortune, makes your life ruined and mess, and I can tell, you are a type of person who complains often.  If you remain the same, even if you have all the wealth in the world, it will shrink.

One piece of advice, consider me as a friend of yours.  But mate, you had to change your mindset and for this one, this will turn to yourself in possible depression if you will still stay in your situation.  I suggest you move on and just learn from this mistake and you still have your life to recover, you did it once, so you can do it again.

I read your story and it was really unfortunate. You could become a millionaire right now but you commit a mistake which is investing with a lack of knowledge that leads you to invest in Ponzi and losing half of your earnings while the other one is not saving your private keys. It is not bad to take a break from crypto since it was undeniably stressful sometimes but don't forget to save your private keys cause' it is the only way to access them. Just like you, I enter the crypto space in the year 2017 and I also used a blockchain wallet, I could be a millionaire right now as well but the mistake I did was to keep spending all the Bitcoin I got. I should have held it. Anyway, it is already done we should move on now and take it as a lesson. It is never too late to make an entry anyway so start up once again and never swayed by your past mistakes.

I also regret the things I've done last 2017. Early 2017, I started at this forum. At junior rank, I started to join bounty campaigns since earning at campaigns is very good during that time I admit I earned big amount at low rank and as my rank advance the better the earning. But I did not manage well the earning I get. I buy shit coin. I spend most of my earning to less important things. Time flies so fast I did not save BTC until its price keeps going down and seems that it can't recover from its loses.  Then time comes I needed to save my thesis, I have no other other choice but to used some of my bitcoins again. Even though it is hard for me to sell BTC because the price is still low, I eat my pride and sold almost all of it. I promised myself that the few amount of bitcoin in my wallet that remains in my wallet will be there until BTC price recover and yes it happened this year.

It is sometimes we do actions that we never think it is right or wrong. It is an OP that technically doesn't know about crypto and probably he never knows what he is doing. Hmm, that gonna be torture to himself.

And I hope that he could do it in a nice way and he learns from his mistakes that once he regretted most.
Once, twice, thrice, if the results still the same, much better to totally shut his door off for this.  That eventually a curse to his life and find it no solution to that other than leaving away from the crypto world as this is not the right place for OP.

but from your story, hopefully, everyone can learn to respect their private keys and passwords. For those who have been stuck in the high prices of 2018 then maybe Bitcoin has been a disappointment, but don't ever turn away from Bitcoin because surely the price will continue to rise.

First of all you said that you’re making use of the blockchain wallet, so that means that you must have entered your email when you created that Blockchain wallet right? I make use of blockchain wallet too and I have my email on it, and you can just login at anytime by using your email or address and then your password, so it’s that easy.

My question is whether you still remember the email that was used to create your blockchain wallet and the password? If you remember it, then that’s the solution to your problem, just login with those details. If you can’t remember your address, check it with your email on their website, it’s going to reveal all the addresses that are linked to that email.

Looks like this is your own fault.
1. You are still new but have dared to invest that eventually lead to losses.
2. If you install a blockchain wallet you should store the key in several alternatives.

Many people have regretted their mistakes but repeated them. I hope you can learn from this mistake. Never trust any investment if the manager is not you. Keep your wallet keys properly, make 1-3 storage alternatives. Currently there is no need to regret it, you can still try to find it (BTC) to set aside a small portion of your salary, because I believe BTC is the future of digital money that will be accepted by many countries of the world.

That's right, be a manager for your own business. Do not overly trust any investment party, especially those whose origins are not clear, and offer you large profits. Start with yourself, intend and believe in your heart that you can carry out your own investment. Indeed, at this stage of learning it is difficult, even many of the beginners choose not to continue because they imagine the losses they have experienced. Do not regret what has happened, what happened let it happen, you have to focus on your goals, if you really mean it will definitely get a good solution. Don't be afraid to fail again, I'm not telling you to fail again, but if you experience another failure, learn from that failure, don't fall for the second time on the same mistake. Start with the basics first. Everything is versatile in this internet age, you can learn it via google.

If you have an experienced friend it is much better to be a mentor and teach you how to trade properly. Usually, the mistake is to invest too much of the funds you have, start with small funds first. If you already understand how to get a profit, then you can use a fairly large amount of funds to generate more profit. However, do not use all your funds to invest, reserve it to anticipate if something happens that is not supposed to be desired. Because, loss can come at any time without us expecting it, even though we have done it right. Make yourself comfortable in investing, because it is your own money, so you must be able to manage it yourself. Trusting the broker is okay, but there needs to be a really convincing consideration of this.

Since 1.1 bitcoin is so much money over your country and it will impact your life you really need to look for those private keys, try everything that you can find even those things that may not seem like your keys.

It is such a shame but a the end of the day it was your fault, you are the one that lost access to your coins, I know that many people do not like the responsibility to care about their coins but that is what makes bitcoin unique and makes it impossible to confiscate for governments, I hope you learned a lesson out of this and that you still try to get more bitcoin as it is not as late as there is still a lot of upside to the current movement.

Honestly this isn't really a sad story as others because this is your own doing and there is nobody else involved. If you have bitcoin, even if you have like 5-10k worth of it, and you delete it without storing a backup? That is going to cause you to lose a lot of money, there is no explanation why you lost, it is all because you deleted something with thousands of dollars in it without getting a backup, who would do that?

You are saying 70k+ is a huge amount in your nation (it is a good amount anywhere in the world, even expensive places like New York and London that is good for like at least one year without working) but you are telling us you had like 8-9 thousand dollars and you just deleted it. Maybe you will learn a life lesson from this, if something is important (even if unrelated to money) just make sure you store or save it properly.

and no more regrets for what you should have done. this will make your head hurts looking back and see your shortcomings. what you need to do is look forward and plan things for your future. because what's in the past is already in the past and you can't do anything anymore with your past. but you can still change your future by what you are doing today.
now, that youve experienced carelessness in terms of handling your coins, you already know what to do next time around. even if we say, right now, it is not that worth much. but who knows, someday some of your coins will be valuable?

Yes. I don't have any more regrets about my mistakes during the last bull run because I took time to learn from the mistakes I made. Also, I'm a big fan of the quote that says that "There's no need to cry over spilled milk". Best thing to do is just to drop the regrets, look forward to what lies ahead and work towards it. That's been my plan for the last few years and so far so good, I'm on the right path already and with time things would fall into place soon.

It might bot look so sad to you but it is to him. You can put yourself in his shoes and see things in his own perspective too. About not getting a backup in handy, OP isn't the first and definitely won't be the last.

your story is complicated...
but from your story, hopefully, everyone can learn to respect their private keys and passwords. For those who have been stuck in the high prices of 2018 then maybe Bitcoin has been a disappointment, but don't ever turn away from Bitcoin because surely the price will continue to rise.
Yeah, everyone who was disappointed about the 2018 bear market and cannot move on should forget about it and then get to the current price of bitcoin and accept it.
And managing our wallets, we should always remember that if we don't have the keys, we don't own our coins. It's the golden rule that everyone who has plans to keep it long to remember.

Narrow escape for your misfortune? I would say you should stand up again.

You wanted to be rich you made a choice to have bitcoin and you lost?

I will give you a reality check.

1. Work to get your guitar back. why? passion will always be number 1 (for me). Don't think of too much money your music or your passion might somehow work for you to be rich or have some small money.

Still, an ambition to get rich and see bitcoin is the only way? even if you failed I swear a reality check do what you love the most (Back it up with your knowledge from bitcoin ;) ) and you could possibly can rich

2. When it comes to a big loss, which you now learned from it. and if you plan to do it got to do it again with a reality check that you learned from it and you will not do it again.
(You were a novice back then now you know or you have some knowledge today? right? used it to get back up)

3. Connected to number 1 Passion is an escape and it's permanent and money is not money just goes in the cycle to some.

4. We have youtube do a cover if you already have a guitar that might earn you some money.  :)

Taking care of basics of security and ensuring about the restoration options are more important in any field and when you are dealing in crypto currencies then you must take care of all the basics very first hand.

These days making sure of backing up wallet file/privatekeys/seeds are more important so that even you will be losing access to your wallet for some reason then you will get chances to recover your funds by privatekeys/seeds. When you're failing to do proper back up, then you need to forget all your saving because without them you could never access your saving.

Well, you're not the first that this will happen to and definitely, you'll not be the last. Not being the last might sound harsh but it's just the bitter truth. Many other will still fall into the same mistake.
Investing in bitcoin isn't risky as compared to trading but it is very easy to pose all if one is not careful. The most important thing to do to secure one's funds while holding bitcoin is keep the seed phrase in alternative places.
However, since it's the blockchain wallet, I think it might still be possible to get your wallet back if you remember the email you used in opening that wallet. Your wallet id is in every email they sent to you and with that you can easily use 'forget password'. Hopefully, you'd get your wallet back.

You have learned your lesson,,, which itself is an investment well worth. You will never again put money into a ponzi, bitcoin or otherwise,,, so count your blessings. You have only lost a few years.

You should always think positively. It could have turned out a lot worse. So, shake it off, add the experience/lesson to your memoir and next time you'll be much better prepared.

Also, to make you feel better, think how many others have been in your situation or even worse. These things can happen, all you can do it learn from it.

Now imagine if you held onto those coins. You would have good amount of profits. That sure would that have made you happy. I think back then you were young and naive and didn't see much of a reason to hold on to your keys. If you had held onto those coins till now you would be  rich enough to go into start any business of your choice.  Its painful to lose such money...it is indeed a bitter experience.
But hey life happens, don't beat yourself about it. Your time is now. Invest in your future

It seems like you have the main responsibility for what have happened to you from the past and the regrets are already sinking into you having to know that Bitcoin have massively increase in terms of price compared from the years wayback you have acquired those Bitcoins that you loss from a Ponzi scheme and the remaining that have not been retrieved since you are likely have lost your private keys to access your account. But still it will never be to late for your dream. The main difference is that you will start again from scratch and will have to strive harder to reach your goal.

I have been in that situation, and a lot more. I could be 3+ million dollar rich right now, instead I have few thousand dollars, I had 50 bitcoins or so in my account back in the day, but this was very old days, instead I sold it when it reached a thousand dollars or so, used it to basically live a good life for about 2 years, and then I had nothing to show for but stuff in my house whereas if I kept it I would had a lot more.

However what did I do? Did I gave up? No, I just took that as a lesson and now I am growing my bitcoin amount, and since last year I have been getting richer thanks to this, still not giving up, I will do this until I know I have enough money to retire, and if bitcoin goes even higher than that, I will just say I have enough and will not care about anything else. A lesson learned and I will not do anything else.

Unfortunately, without that private key, you cant access you blockchain wallet. I know you have been frustrated with your unlucky experience but hastily deleting your crypto wallet wasnt a good idea.

Regrets was always there but if you only turn back time, you probably one of a millionaire now in your country. If you can check the back up storage of your phone, or your notepad app in your mobile phone maybe you just store it somewhere. Private key is very important and blockchain reminds you to save that private key before proceeding, right? Dont lose hope, who knows? That private key will eventually be seen very soon.

^ This could be the possible outcome when people hearing about BTC without proper knowledge, they only heard about the possible profit upon investing but technically, they don't have any idea. First is storing BTC in the right wallet that you have control over your BTC and keep it in a safe place that nobody knows aside from your trusted family member. Many bad people are now trying to find a way just to take advantage of weak people, we should have responsible enough and of course, before adopting at least we should know first.

It is not a misfortune, may we called to that your unlucky year for crypto. You're not alone, a lot of people suffering such self blamings as we misses such a great opportunity but since we are not the one who controls the market plus being too greedy and overly hypes thinking that it never drops, that is the usual thing to happen.

Take this as a lesson to learn, and consider this as a footstep for a better understanding of crypto. It is full of tricks, you can't be sure of everything in the future, so if ever there is a chance of having a good profit might be contented with that and don't miss it.

It made me remember those days that I failed to sell my altcoins after the popularity of ICO, and I was unfortunate that time because I wasn't able to sell my holdings due to worst bearish market from 2017-2020. Everything went down and those days I trusted the holdings I had but I was just became frustrated, and didn't recover to the previous highest value it went through. If I made my decision quickly maybe I've had the chance to hold btc until now, and that was at around $12k which is capable of buying btc at lower cost that year of 2017.
So sad story, but I needed to move on and face another chapter in life in order to be successful in cryptocurrency.

Let’s give him time to recover and to move on, its not easy to lose such opportunity to become a millionaire and seriously I don’t know what to do if that thing happened to me, fortunately I don’t have such amount of money.

Anyway, always remember to back up your private keys on many ways and don’t ever lose that key because its very important. I suggest to have USB file, write it on a black book, and tell your partner about this, it can be a big help.

If you invest in bitcoin in 2015-16 you will got rich now, people in the past 5 years didnt believe in bitcoin, they say that bitcoin is a big fraud but they wrong bitcoin and alternative currency is popular now, trading bitcoin with other pairs of currencies is legit and better invest now so that you can gain from it.

Actually, I will never do that, although I got angry I'll sell my bitcoin first and then I'll forget it comparing to forget 1 bitcoin in a wallet.

Yeah this is bitcoin different with traditional asset, you still have a chance to get your asset back when you lost your certificate asset but not in bitcoin. You have to keep some access to open your wallet either in hardware wallet or yoh keep it in some exchanges.

All of us especially for those people that know about cryptocurrency way back 2017 when the cryptocurrency is not popular as it is now. I have also got some good money now if I'm not sold it at low price compared today but I'm not regretting it since that money I was be able to graduate and help my family with some of our needs. Keeping every wallet key that is owned securely and can be found easily is something that needs to be done. Many have lost access to their wallets due to their own carelessness. even up to thousands of birtcoins and until now cannot be opened. This always happened, when a few years ago the price of bitcoin was so cheap, people didn't really care about it. But when the bitcoin price hit the over $ 60k everyone started looking for their past wallets.

It is very frustrating to have a wallet with BTC but lose access. it will be a good lesson not to leave the key or forget it, because one day it will be very valuable.

Don't worry, OP.
The same story could be told by those who invested back in 2010.
Imagine their sighs right now when they realized that they left a humongous amount that grew over the years. They won't even give a crap even if it seems like bearish right now.

I could've done the same actually, like I won't care that I invested something then suddenly I would just be locked up because I forgot where my seeds/private keys are stored or written, because I didn't expect anything from it back then anyway.

The sad part is that this is kind of an unforgivable mistake, for example I can kind of understand those that have a lost their coins when bitcoin was worth only a dollar or something like that because back then it was impossible for them to think the price was going to get so high so quickly, so I can understand why they were not as careful with their coins.

But in the case of the OP his coins were already very valuable and he should have known that a day will come when bitcoin will be way more valuable than what it was back then and still he was not careful enough to keep his coins safe.

Its a mistake where its really a regrettable one and that's why we should really be mindful on keeping our coins safe because we don't know on what comes next when it comes to future.

Missed out opportunities are common and the ways on how those things being committed will vary and this is one of the example. Its just really a stressful thing for you to mind off

and going into those old days that if you weren't able to commit such mistake then you might had already changed up yourself when it comes to financial state but
sadly it didn't happen due to those bad decisions or being too careless.

most of them are psychologically attacked, resulting in the frustration they get after the coin price drops. therefore it requires consistency with the analysis that we have made, so that we remain calm when the market is still moving within the range of our framework.

On the other hand those shared mistakes of our colleagues here are also a lesson learned for us that we must take seriously. I guess the issue of having a well secured wallet where you would going to store all your coin was been talking here in forum not once but always because it is where you can have a peace of mind to store your profit so it must be well secured.
So since a secured wallet was been already an issue for me, I was feel secured using a hard wallet.

Yeah, I'm not finding any big difficulties for finding a secured wallet based on our computer or android mobile phones. These days we are having lots of options while choosing wallets (https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet) unlike what I have seen some 4 or 5 years back. Still I'm seeing lots of people are preferring exchanges and web wallets to save their coins for no good reasons.

I guess people are too lazy these days and due to this reason they are simply listening to Internet strangers and then keeping all their money on exchanges or web wallets itself.

If you use blockchain then you Should check your mail which was blockchain.info which is now converted to blockchain.com if you search on you email you might get that email where you get your private key i hope soo. But remember private is not only needed to open that account because you also needed password too. Without both of them you can't get it. And one more thing if you had that email you can request for your private key. Which they will give you. I suggest you to read there faq section where you will get all information. Hope you might get a solution otherwise sorry for your loss.

Since you lost your private keys those btcs you were holding are gone. The escape for your misfortune is to not give up and start again from zero learning from your previous mistakes. I know sometimes it's hard to keep motivated to continue persuing a better quality life, because it looks like the chances are slight and there are too many competitors on our way, especially in a country like yours, but the truth is that we don't have another choice.
We get nothing by giving up or uninstalling an important app during a moment of angry, so keep focus, don't waste the opportunities you are going to find ahead, even if they are simple micro jobs and at some time you will see things will start improving again, like on thoes times when you were holding a decent amount of bitcoins.

And of course, it's never too late to start accumulating bitcoins. So start doing it from now on again.

My almost rich story is here bro :
I once an ambasador for ethlend which is now ( AAVE ) they offered me 250k ethlend which equal to 2500 AAVE now. But at that time i did not do my job. Then of course i dont get my ethlend token. I was skeptical about the project. If i just work for them that time and hodl my 250k ethlend then i can convert it to 2500 AAVE. Now i have 1million usd 🥲. Maybe next time when i got another chance i will do my best for such legit project.

Oh such a waste but these kind of mistake is really leaving some regretful moments specially if we think back that if we had just continue to deal with it then

we are already rich as of this moment.I myself haven't experience those chances but in terms of tokens or coins had been accumulated and just been sold actively then

I can consider myself to be wealthy now but well life goes on and I do need to sell those coins for me to support my needs.

This is what the exact situation of most holders in crypto space. We might turn rich by continuing our holding of cryptos but we need to pay bills and have other day to day life's expenses hence we cannot continue holding forever. I guess spending time to time for basic needs is inevitable but instead of what OP has done, I guess it will be much better if we are spending for our needs.

We are saving money for better future but saving all the earning may not be possible for everyone. It means we need to spend some portion of our earning and only the remaining portion may go for savings.

Yeah, I wonder why the sentiment around Bitcoin is "invest what you can risk to lose" because risk is always there even in real life businesses and yeah volatility is high in Bitcoins buts its more towards the positive side than the negative.

I mean Bitcoin drops $1k but rises $2k that is the kind of volatility Bitcoin has shown which I won't call volatility but rather growth pattern still I too am saving more in bitcoin after my all everyday expenses.

Holders are always the winner when it comes to holding coins that really have future potential.
But as you said, you need to sell these coins to meet your needs. it is the most appropriate choice because it is your decision.
Everyone has their own opportunities and everyone has different lives and needs.

life must go on. do not regret what has happened, keep doing your best and analyze the coins that have the potential in the future.

Ouch! Missed opportunity and I bet it's not the only one! It's like same with many others from here, including me! Each of us could have a lot more than we have now, it's the hard truth! We all made mistakes with some coins/tokens, in one way or another.
But in the end, there's no point in crying over spoiled milk, right? We are alive and I hope we are well, and maybe we can be happy with what we have... of course, we will continue to work and try different things... and who knows!

It is hard but it is the only option that he has, starting from zero all over again knowing that most likely you are never going to have as much bitcoin as you had before is incredibly hard psychologically speaking but it is the best thing the OP can do.

After all we know that the bitcoin that will ever exist is limited and whales are accumulating huge amounts of it, which means that even a smaller amount will be available to the general public, at this rate even having 1mBTC will mean that you have more savings in bitcoin than most people but that is assuming billions of people adopt bitcoin, so as we can see it is not as late as we may think as getting that kind of bitcoin is still relatively easy.

your problem can not be easily overcome.  If you store 1.1 bitcoins on an exchange you may be able to reset your password or ask for help exchange support.  but if you store in a hardware wallet I think it will be difficult to return your assets

About blockchain, possibly if OP can recall his secret key or I mean when we make blokchain wallet from the outset we not get private key right, just ID which is in email and secret phrase that we save without anyone else. There's still a lot of chances that would've gotten you back what you lost as of now, you simply haven't taken them. Regardless, there would be considerably more freedoms sooner rather than later.

I am quite sure that since I know and do business from the crypto world, I already have more than 1 bitcoin. however nowadays the price of bitcoin is really high, even with 1.5 bitcoins, you can become a rich man. it's just that, urgent needs, as well as the FUD that existed in the past, made many of us sell our assets even at low prices.

you let your emotion swallow you .
when that happens we cannot think properly and end up in wrong decisions but if only you calm down you can think of positive decision like selling the bitcoins left to buy a brand new guitar to continue your musical career .
another fail you have is when you compare yourself to others . that will make you greedy and being greedy could also lead to wrong decisions so dont say  that you fail because your a novice .

They are so many scams that we don't have to blame ourselves for the decision we made. We didn't know those project would be successful, in a case where one project becomes a success, there are many other tokens that failed us. Affect going through such experience they affect our next decision let's not be too hard on ourselves.

The industry still has greater opportunity upfront, we just have to stay focused. I remember when it seems like all the outrageous gain in the industry has already been achieve but today we have project like doge, BNB doing impressive returns of investment that hundred would had easily been turned into millions. We have betters days ahead, let's just stay focused and utilized the next opportunity that present itself.

Sorry about what you had to pass to through for losing your money. That’s why you have to be very careful in anything that has to do with business online, there are many scammers online waiting for who will fall into their trap.

You said you were making use of the Blockchain wallet right? Then there are chances that you can still recover your account because Blockchain wallet accounts are created with email, so if you are still making use of the same email that you used to create that Blockchain wallet account , then you can still get back access to your wallet using the email and your password.

Which is why one of the best strategies we have in the market is to simply buy bitcoin and then forget about it, bitcoin is not like altcoins in which you could lose your coins if you do not exchange them for new ones as it happens all the time in that market, you can buy bitcoin and just keep it in your wallet and it is going to be safe.

I know this can be difficult especially if you are enthusiastic about this market and you are always reading about how the price is doing, but when there is FUD this can be counterproductive as you will have many more opportunities to make the mistake of selling your coins for a bad price, and that is the kind of mistake that can haunt you for life especially if you had a lot of bitcoin and you sold them before the market skyrocketed.

Hope you might get a solution otherwise sorry for your loss.
for what i  know when it comes blockchain even you don't need a password wherein only wallet id and the Gmail you use to register in it, you're able to recover your account.. Yes that's true and i remember that way when i forgot my password in it..

First i check my gmail that i used to register on blockchain wallet and then i see password checkup option within my gmail account and i figure it out that's where i save all my passwords in different sites.

And boom i can view all the private information in different site or wallet in just a seconds . Such gmail and password.  Indeed if you use the same password with your other account it will be visible on it as well.

And also if you activated the 2FA you need more days before you will receive a notification because thats what happened to me actually..  I thought i was in a wrong gmail but after days i see some messages from blockchain wallet.. You need to wait especially if you abandoned your wallet for a long time. I hope this can help..

I think, that bitcoin only becomes more valuable from the fact, that someone forgets or loses the private keys from their wallets. The number of coins will only decrease every year, except of mining.

The email thing should give you a decent lead around there. In any case, I trust others take in some things from your pitiful story not to erase wallet application without duplicating out imperative information, regardless of how furious one is. About blockchain, perhaps if OP can recollect his secret word or I mean when we make blockchain wallet from the start we not get private key right, just ID which is in email and secret phrase that we save without anyone else.

I have also account of Blockchain.info, and  afew month ago I did try to login by used email account. If any account created by using email, should be any way to recover the private key.  But for personal wallet that created without email, the way to login only by private key.  Lost private key for these personal wallet is mean loss the crypto forever, no body can recover it. That why when I created personal wallet, I never forget to write down the private key in several different paper and keep it in several different place too.

Me too, almost made me a fortune if I had hold on to it. Like in December 2020, Bitcoin was around $12,000 to $16,000 and I've decided to convert them to USDT. Until the big pump happened to $20k, then $30k and up to $60k. However, it would be smart for me to buy it early and sell as the price peaked to $60k. Now BTC is over $30k, and I believe that this will be the new bottom (or maybe not due to the death cross). Risk management is still important, as we should learn about diversifying our investments.

I have worst experience, i have 30 bitcoin in my wallet in 2014. Start trading with 5 bitcoin. But in 2016 i sold half of my btc and another half is scamed by cryptsi ( this is why i never left my btc on centralised exchange ever again ). Second chance was 2020 of march when btc down to $3k. I am too busy for my real world job so i bought in btc again when it $20k. 😅😅.

Now i will just hodl it. Go zero or rich i dont care...

Lots had really missed out that opportunity to buy cheap since no one really had anticipated that bitcoin would really be having some nasty run to reach out 60k and for sure even myself had missed out that chance to make myself rich or a bit wealthy since i could buy several coins when it was still cheap.

Well, theres no need to regret because we cant really turn back the time and those missed opportunities are just part of our memory that bitcoin did really
reach out those levels.

Although, it doesnt mean that we had missed out we wont be seeing another opportunity. This is why we should really be wise on getting in specially for possible bottom of it on this current trend.

actually for now you still have a profit even though the price of bitcoin fell sharply. but I applaud your stance which is adamant to keep holding bitcoins until your goal of becoming rich is achieved. exemplary is that you buy assets with cold money, so it will help psychology to stay focused on the goal

Seeing the current market that is trending down for me, I think holding on to it is the right decision,
indeed everyone has their own reference to the decisions made,
for me bitcoin is a long term asset so better to hold on to it

All of us have to wonder what we gonna do to our Bitcoin before when the value is just only $1,000, $5,000. Often we are saying why I never hold them until today we might be rich now. It comes too late to realize the wrongdoings, it all has been done and I think we need to move on. Because whether we like it or not, it never happens again and we can take back those Bitcoin that we wasted so easily.

People can't really hold their Bitcoin IRL, that is the truth. We use them as it was the purpose of its creation, not just to hold and let them stay on our wallets until they become worthless.

Blockchain.info could help you recover your fund, provided you still have access to the email used in registration! I have gone through this experience myself and I have come out regaining access to my bitcoin! Try and use all tools for recovery of your wallet and contact the customer support as well! I am sure you will find a solution if you truly own the wallet!

Often we are saying why I never hold them until today we might be rich now.
-snip-
Of course, that's very easy to say now in retrospect. But apply that to the current situation ... would you sell now?

Imagine the price crashes now down to 10k, you would be angry not to have sold. In retrospect it is of course a very easy decision, but from the current situation, BTC could now also turn upwards again and we are for example in September again at 60k. Then you would of course be very angry to have sold at 30k.

Timing is very important, if you have good knowledge and your assessment leads you to anticipate what the

market may bring you, the chance that you can sell it within the peak is very possible, though for now it's

all regret for missing that opportunities, you need to try working again and see if the same movement

will return back and give you the same chance.

This should be a lesson to all of us, even if for some reason you are disappointed by what is happening in the world of cryptocurrencies it is important to not take decisions when you are mad or sad, the OP deleted the wallet from his phone and did not had a backup and now he is paying the consequences of it, we must remember to always have backups of our seed words and if possible our private keys so something like this does not happen to us.

I mean you are not the first and you are not the last one to suffer from this problem, i mean the guy who also lost his private key to his wallet that holds a fortune and we are talking millions of dollars, was featured all over international news a couple of months ago, people should take better care of any sensitive information that involves money, and especially bitcoin since the only thing that identifies you and allows you to be the owner of your wallet is your private key and you can never retrieve it if you lose it.

As far as I know, Blockchain info is a non-custodial wallet and they give you a recovery phrase in the process of creating a wallet. I am doubtful that blockchain info would give access to him but It wouldn't hurt if OP would try contacting customer support.

I hope OP did learn his lesson to keep his wallet like his own treasure. There are many cases like this, Mostly are newbies.

This is what often happens to beginners. Never evaluate and analyze before. My advice if you want to invest use cold money or money that is not for personal use, or even to sell personal needs. Or worse, owe someone. This is often wrong .. because we never know what bitcoin will be like. And make sure if you have a wallet, store the keys in various alternatives. so you don't regret it later.

I have this kind of experience and I have learned from it that never imagine being rich because of crypto before we really cashing it out and be in our bank account. Because it may be the only digit and it is changeable due to the price at the time, probably hacked, and other digital problems.
That is why we must be only thinking about what we are having now and at the time we are buying and selling to get profits. And that is what we have.
be patient.

And with this, there are also some lessons to be more careful, moreover, we may do wrong things in certain platform so that we lose our money there. This is sad, but this is something common happening in the crypto world.
