Title: Staking ETH 2.0 and Bear Market
Post by: Sun2k on April 21, 2021, 10:53:38 PM
Hi all,  :)

I have a beginner question, I subscribed to the Staking ETH 2.0 for about 2 years but I absolutely forgot about the Bear Market.

Did I do wrong to subscribe to Staking ETH 2.0 for about 2 years knowing that during the Bear Market the ETH will lose a lot of its value?

I bought at 1580$.

Thank you for clarifying

IMHO, that's why I wouldn't put at staking for ETH 2.0 because they're requiring you to lock your ETH for so long. But if you have a long term plan to hold it with that period of time then you're making it easy for you because you'll learn as you hold it on that platform.
And if a bear market comes, you don't have to think of it because your funds are locked in.

AFAIK you will have need at least 32 ethereum to stake it and have you bought your ethereum when the price was so low a few years ago? The bearish trend can decrease the value of your ethereum but if you have bought your ethereum at the bottom price and you must be fine with it. Have you checked the possibility to unstake your ethereum?
You may get pinalty for that but that's not be a big problem. You can hope the price of ethereum will be stable. You will lose its value if ethereum goes bearish
