I feel like I have been helpful and sharing insight but I have not yet aquired any merit.
I have read many posts about getting it, I just want to be able to share photos in my post.
anyone else share the same struggle?

You have only made 16 posts and most of those have been in the Altcoins forums. I guess posts in those forums don't get merits very often. Regardless, merits are intended to be hard to obtain.

Oh okay I just see people with hundreds even some with a thousand. I thought it was more of a common occurrence.

Well some of us gain our merits because of our ranks before the merit system was introduce or been used in the forum.
Just take a look mine I only earned 7 so far but due to my rank before the merit system started I already have 107.
Just continue to post or share any useful news someday you would also get merit that's how I obtain those 7 merit so far.

Have you forgot to use your other account ? because you seems to not using that account to post asking about hardness in getting merit.

You have just created 20 posts from your entire career here and started only last April 17 2021 but your account was created more than 2 years ago?

now you are claiming about not earning merit and being helpful in this community ? tell us which are you become helping?

Create a post which is worthy to read and it may not work for ANN boards, probably into the more discussion boards and not on spam mega threads.

And also be active because you made 20 posts in 2 years which is not meaning that you are helpful for the community.

I feel you brother, the new merit system is very difficult to rank up in. When I remember the good old days where you would just get a new rank by being active. Now with the new merit system it can take years to rank up. Some times I see people who post very long topics on the forum and only get 2-3 merits. This is quite sad. To be honest I think most of the merits are being given in the language sub forums. So people prefer to give merits to their people from their own countries.

I think it is supposed to be a struggle.

That's the sad reality ,but just keep doing the right thing which is creating informative topics and contents, share useful discoveries about bitcoin and comments on useful topics, I think with those people can be softened to give merite

It is very hard to get merit, just post good contents,am very sure you will also have merit one day, those that have merit don't have two heads,on the other side it is called Merit, you have to earned it. It is not something that will be giving to you on a platter of gold, you have to work for it.

correct , I started my account  for years but just recently that i start gaining merit and i think because i become mature and try my best to help others in this forum.
Just try your best and never give up, we can make it to rank up just do what you know is right and never disregard the rules of Bitcointalk.org.

I don't need to be Perfect in grammar just to Gain merit.
