He's not going to send you anything. Not sure if troll but if you've sent your money to one of those crypto doubling scams advertised on youtube etc then you've been scammed by an imposter.

Since you're dealing with cryptocurrencies, a scam-bargain, you should also know that the transactions are irreversible. But besides that, if Vitalik really announced such thing, what could stop me from withdrawing all his ETH by doing the same procedure repeatedly?

It will take forever. Normally, it is a scam. But, this is likely a blatant lie from you, nobody scammed you, or you can show us your prove.

I don't want to defend OP, but I remember that at some point in the early days of my twitter account, a Vitalik Buterin asked me in PM if I'm interested to buy ETH at half price.
I remember that I had neither money, nor interest in ETH back then, hence I turned him down, although he was pretty much insisting. Then I've got more experienced on what's this and that and I understood that I was sooo lucky to not fall for a (now obvious) scam.
But again, OP may just simply trolling, who knows?

That means you have fall down into a trap ? As I can understand by seeing your post description You got trapped. If you sent any eth or other any token to get double/triple amount then forget about your money. You will get back you fund anymore.

Not sure this really happened or just a lie, for me beginners also know that fraud on behalf of Vitalik is a fraud, especially with a 0.5 deposit will get 1 ETH, this is very impossible if someone believes like this.

Maybe you can show on which site you made a deposit, maybe before it was posted on this accusation board, even many people have reported several times about the fake giveaway.
