Title: So exactly how good is Vechains blockchain supply management system?
Post by: yat97 on May 07, 2021, 01:22:08 AM
I hear it's good but how much better is it for companies to invest in using it? I know there are some using it already I believe. How long have they been operating and if they have a good record of reliability what is stopping more major western companies from using it? I hear it's mostly eastern companies in China. How much would a company save using Vechain over standard logistics tracking?

The project is eliminating counterfeit products which are really affecting the companies that own the real product. If you have to look at it in the bigger picture, China is the biggest source of most products today, they are the world's producers of almost everything we use today. If you wanted to verify whether the product you are about to buy is not counterfeit then you just have to scan the QRcode of the product.

The information I just gave is from the reviews I read on their pages. I'm not sure how long they have operated but the project will indeed help companies whose products are reproduced by counterfeiters.

Any blockchain can be used for logistics and supply management, you just need to correct dapp and qr codes. It's likely that large logistics and inventory management software providers like Oracle and SAGE will simply release their own solutions based on Hyperledger or Ethereum.

Why would they choose those over Vechain when Vechain is already set up with its own infrastructure?
