Title: Ethereum on the rise: Sell or HODL?
Post by: Abiky on May 07, 2021, 04:45:08 PM
It looks like Ethereum is on a non-stop road towards success as people keep pouring money into it like crazy. With several upcoming upgrades on the Ethereum blockchain, things will only get better for the native "Ether" cryptocurrency. Day by day, I'm tempted to sell all of my ETH holdings for profit. But some are saying that ETH will be worth $5k or even $10k in the future. This makes me wonder whenever now it's a good time to sell or continue "hodling" until ETH reaches the aforementioned price range.

If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you sell all of your ETH during the current bullish market? Or will you "hodl" and wait until it goes to $5k - $10k? Do you think ETH's current prices are sustainable? If not, why? Any suggestions, or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :)

I'll HODL. I think in the long term we definitely will get 5k and maybe even 10k. It may fluctuate but it's not gonna dump completely.

Sell a few and HODL more.

If you want to sell, don't sell all of it. Take profits but never leave that you're empty with Ethereum. I've already sold a few ETH and it's even under the price of $2k.

I have also the same goal of looking at those high price that you've mentioned that's why I'm still holding more.

Stake your ETH in any reputable AMM and Yield Farming platforms. Doing so would satisfy both your concerns of not missing out on the potential earnings and holding longer while waiting for the price to go higher. Make sure you choose the platform that would allow you to unstake at anytime.

An extensive network and a bright future have become a fixed price for Ethereum. There is no doubt that as Bitcoin 's favorite coin, I believe Ethereum will provide even more fantastic prices from year to year .. we as holders will know where Ethereum wants to go in the future. there is nothing wrong with sticking to the long term and that is indeed a very good principle. don't be afraid of the crash of Ethereum. because who would have thought the price would be equivalent to Bitcoin today and Bitcoin still exceeds the current price.
Ethereum is a generation of Bitcoin that has 99% potential.

I think the best thing to do for me is now HODLing my ETH. Because I believe that the price will reach $5k in this year at least. There are some predictions like $5.7k. Of course, not all of the predictions come true and I don't trust them. This is just my opinion about the future of the price.

Sell if you are a trader.
Hold if you are a investor. It can go up to 10k as per most of the giants said.
So take decision depending on your need.
If you don’t wanna take risk then book the profit.
But if you are willing to take risk then stay with hodl.

The market development of Ethereum this past few days was really amazing and it is nice to watch the fluctions of the exchange rate of Ethereum because it is mostly a positive fluctuates.
For me this time was better to hodl and sell a token at the same time. Well, it is just based on your life needs or if you are having a certain needs in life that needed to be attained of because earning a profit today in Ethereum was justifiable.

I will take the profits and HODL the remaining, ethereum is facing lot of issues lately but still its somehow managed to get the attention of the investors. Ethereum gas fee decreased considerably this may be a reason why more investors are encouraging ethereum but its still far expensive compared to other cryptos even bitcoin.

I do both, sell and trade and hold because that is my way to have more ethereum. In this bull run, we can make more profit by selling ethereum and we will have a chance to buy back more ethereum when the price is down, although we do not know how deep the price will go down. But if you still want to hold your ethereum, you are free to do that and you can only see the price up to and down for more.

I always knew that ETH has good potential and fortunately it's the only thing I invested in early.
I have made some really bad investments but ETH is not one of them.
To be honest ETH has not even started gaining yet. So many people have locked their ETH in the 2.0 staking contracts.
ETH would be gaining for 2 years straight and that is one of the reason why $10,000 is an easy target for ETH.
HOLD would be the choice. Long term growth is inevitable.

I have longer thoughts about Ethereum and it could go up to $5,000 more in the near future but I will not be holding all of Ethereum. I will partly sell because it is a bit profitable when buying under $3,000 so I will continue to hold on to the limits of what I was aiming for.
If it is corrected, then I will move faster than being held because there is a little doubt in me but my hand is always itching to sell it, if it is not corrected then I will keep it up.

The current Ethereum price is quite high, but I dare not hold back further, even though Ethereum still has great opportunities going forward. We are not the whales who can decide the next step on Ethereum's future.

Yup, I agree with the above comment. This is by far the most approachable action if you're thinking of holding for a little longer. If I were you I'd even buy a few more as the ETH rally hasn't even begun yet. In the meantime, add them to a reputable compounded APY platform and enjoy the pump while earning.

if you've got a profit I think selling is the best. but selling at 30% looks good. leave 70% for hold. because according to the market prediction the ETH price can remain sustainable until the highest price

Yup.

Don't let yourself feel bad about selling.

You enjoy your gains but also don't forget that you have another level of price to sell again soon. That's the plan, you sell when you need to sell or you want to enjoy your profit while not touching a part for holding.

I would say that selling on a bull run is not a good idea, people should not be selling at wherever we are, they should always protect themselves against a drop in a bull run because as long as it goes up let it go up. For example put a stop loss in 3k, and let it go up as much as it can, if it goes under 3k, your stop loss will get out at 3k and you can get back in whenever you want. This way if it goes over 4k you will not miss out on anything, but if it is under 3k you are still selling and getting out.

This 3k is an example, put it anywhere you want, put it on 3.5k if you want and it will be sold very quickly if you are scared but at least it will be there. So my idea is simply that, do not sell at market price, put a stop loss against a drop, and let it go up as much as it can, when it goes up, switch your stop loss to a higher price and keep waiting like that.

I will never hold Ethereum for the long term, day trading is more profitable than holding it. The daily turnover of money is better even though the profit is smaller. But everyone has their own method of taking advantage. However I chose the day trading route, and it can optimize the risk if the Ethereum price drops.

l prefer holding ETH, that is why l believe in the future of ETH and more than that if you can be enough patient you can make a great profit from ETH investment. ETH price is around 3.5k and no doubt it will be 5k in the near future, maybe more than 5k because ETH deserves it. But everybody should decide themselves, for that you can sell some of ETH, but definitely not all of them, just hodl some of them for the better profit.

I doubt you will make more money with trading daily up-down swings of Ethereum since the price is not as volatile as in the higher timeframe charts. The profit will be less than weekly or monthly swing trading, why waste your valuable time chasing the smaller price discovery. You can try long term price discovery tools and I doubt you will look back after tasting those nice profit on long term trading.

You don't like my advice because your rank is so high. 3 times profit can't be a good profit from the current market situation. Ethereum could pump to 10k, then I won't take this low profit. Out of the top 50, altcoins are the best. The top altcoins value is so high. You can even buy ETH in two months.

I think Ethereum growth is long over due because owing to its high gas fees, it looks like a lot of projects found BSC network to be better, but as Ethereum has been trying to solve this issue with gas fees amongst other developments spiked the growth and once all is set, we will most likely see another ATH for Ethereum.
In the same way, there is no way to know how far Ethereum will get to; looking at Bitcoin a lot of people never believed it will get to such price thus selling at different lower prices but today Bitcoin has proved a lot of people wrong, same can be likened to Ethereum taking into account it's the second best coin.
In addition, knowing that the market can not be predicted one might tend to always be on the safer side, hence one might sell a little bag at a certain price and leave the rest.
Lastly, in my own opinion, Ethereum look sustainable most especially with the progress made so far on the gas fee, this will then go a long way in bringing many projects back because everyone knows how solid the Ethereum smart contracts is.

- Also need consideration and partial profit taking, instead of overconfident in it, not because it is not enough to deserve a higher price, it's still worth but we are in the crypto market, the up and down opportunity is just a story every day, recklessness in such sensitive moments was not necessary, past period should make us more mature in decisions about whether to hold or sell. I may be wrong but I am safe, you may be right but you are also sitting on the flames, very anxious about tomorrow's story

If you need some money, then you can sell a part, then in general now the forecasts are good, this pleases, but no one canceled the correction in the near future. And you need to be very careful at this time.

You are right that it is very difficult to make choices now because eth prices have jumped quite well in the past 2 weeks, so any increase will inevitably decrease. To get past a hurdle like this you have to really be able to hold back your emotions not to sell any eth you have if you believe the price will hit $4k. If you are unsure, sell 50% of your eth.

If you want to sell assets, then don't make a big mistake - selling all crypto assets. You can sell some of your coins to get a return on your investment.
There is a lot of good news on Ethereum, it is traded on well-known world exchanges and in the near future there will be a very strong reduction in emissions due to the change in the algorithm. Ethereum even has a chance of becoming the number 1 coin

It depends on the goal of each person. If you have no need to make a profit, there is no need to sell because $4000 is close. ETH is a very solid project, so there is nothing to fear. Basically the dependence that other projects have on BTC, ETH does not have. DYOR always and make wise decision.

I'll definitely hodl my ethereum for sure as London hardfork will be done in July which means , we are still having 2 months for that. That's why i'll continue my hodlings until June for $5k price zone to be sure that it's worth of hodling for more than $5k. Otherwise, i'll try to sell off some parts of my hodlings to be into the safe zone.  ;)

predictions will continue to be made by prediction experts. but many predictions are wrong. because in my opinion it is very difficult to predict the price in cryptocurency. so my advice if you have made a large profit then you better sell it than you have to wait for an uncertain time. sell and find other altcoins for your investment.

i am totally agree, accumulation from daily trade much better than if we hold it. in a cycle , we could buy and sell several times and could produced 1x profits , meanwhile profit from holding will need longer time.we have two direction opportunity moreover if eth price ranging, its give us really good opportunity.

Hold is the best choice for now because Ethereum is going up and will continue to rise for some time to come. Don't be sorry if Ethereum hits the price of $ 10k in the future. and in my opinion the bullish session will not be finished until the end of June. these are my predictions for ethereum prices,

That will be up to you whether you want to hold or sell your ethereum at a high price because that will depend on your strategy. Some people will sell their ethereum at a high price but they will not sell all of their ethereum because they want to hold for more. But some others will sell all of their ethereum once the price hit the highest price. But I think some people use ethereum to trade to make more profit, especially at this moment because, with the fluctuating ethereum price, we can hope to make more profit by buying low and sell high.

It really depends on how much are you willing to risk. I mean you can probably dig some alts that may have a bigger return than 2x but ofc with a bigger risk.
At some point ETH will be and absolute necessity for a lot of decentralized applications and for sure we'll see a nice price for ETH.
So if you considering lower risk rates, you should keep it safe in your wallet  ;D

Ethereum has been pumping as hell since the last dip, indeed it has a really bright ahead and  I think selling now would be a really bad decision, cause it rose to $3.5k even without the Ethereum 2.0 been launched, just wondering how much Ethereum will be worth when the eth2.0 is been released, it's going to be massive we might see Ethereum go x2 of the current price right now, so hodling will be better.

I'm still expecting a lot of ethereum for this bullrun. There are several factors that make me very sure that the Ethereum party is far from over, the first is the gass fee issue that has not been resolved and also the ethereum update that has not been implemented optimally, I cannot speculate enough about Ethereum's price later if both problems are successful they tackle in the next few months, so HODL!

I will always hodl my ethereum. Once it goes to the POS and we will never see the hyper inflation that happened in ethereum due to the unlimited supply.
I will try to sell some if i need money but i still prefer to hodl all of my ethereum until it will have reached at least 5k or 10k maybe in the next quarter. The price is very sustainable right now.
Try to sell a small part of your hodl if you think you need money but keep it all. If you are thinking the current profit is enough and go out.

I agree with you, Ethereum is a very good long-term investment like BTC and BNB, so if you buy Ethereum when the price is still cheap and hold until now, then my advice is that you better not sell your Ethereum if you don't need money, because I believe that in the future the price of Ethereum can increase very high and at least $5k, so that you will get a big profit from investing in Ethereum.

We absolutely see that ETH price keeps moving higher and higher even some say that many investors are jumping to BNB due to high fees but the effect is too different. No one is expecting this for sure. But I don't think could last for long, dumps will come next, and much better to anticipate that moment before it arrives. I don't want to lose this opportunity anymore so I definitely have to sell some, I think this will be the smartest thing to do rather than to keep holding. It was 2017 bullish reminds me everything about HODL and HODL which badly it ends regretting.

I've been falling in love with this coin since i know about crypto, especially for the CEO Vitalik he's so smart and very enjoyable watch the interview when he talk about the future of this coin. ETH will be more stronger than now, i think in the near future ETH can dethrone bitcoin in CMC.

I personally will hold more ETH than any shitcoins in the market because I know the price will still rise though we might see some corrections before reaching a new all time high but at least, you're holding a good coin. Its also ok to take profit now and buy back when the price of ETH hits another bottom, that can be a good strategy. Look for every possibilities and focus on your strategy, you can buy and sell any time just know your limit.

That will be up to you whether you want to hold or sell your ethereum at a high price because that will depend on your strategy. Some people will sell their ethereum at a high price but they will not sell all of their ethereum because they want to hold for more. But some others will sell all of their ethereum once the price hit the highest price. But I think some people use ethereum to trade to make more profit, especially at this moment because, with the fluctuating ethereum price, we can hope to make more profit by buying low and sell high.
yep, it all depends on yourself and you want which one. Remember again that the crypto market is desantralized, which all comes back to their respective decisions, still remember very well when the crypto market in 2019 was so bloody and now starting to get to the moon. Trading with a fraction and holding a part of it is a decision that can be taken at this time, at least by trading you have the advantages that can be enjoyed today.

Such experienced will move you to anticipate the possibilities, though no one can accurately say what wolud be the next movement from this asset, this year really shows strong market for ETH.

After that issue with high fees this coin stand still and surprise more investors who continue to support this coin, very profitable for those early holders who are still waiting for the next update, we never know what ETH 2.0 will bring to this coin and what more are in line for the
developement coming from this project.

The decision always in your hands, do a deeper research and weigh in every aspects that influence this coin.

HOLD, it will be very profitable if you choose this option. ethereum trend is good, price is slowly starting to rise. although fairly slow, but the increase is enough to dominate the market. so HOLD is the best choice, even if you already get profit. but there's nothing wrong with multiplying that profit, so it's still HOLD.

We are in a bull market, so it doesn't make sense to sell it at this point.

Of course, as traders we might be tempted to sell right now because of the profit, but for me, I will rather wait a bit, maybe until the end of this year and see how it goes. Ethereum has a lot of development in the pipeline, and if it will be delivered, even delay I think it will cause another spike in the price. So I would say that be mentally tough and stay strong as a holder.

Thanks. :)

I'll sell some of it, and leave the rest for HOLD. taking advantage is important, but I think the price could be higher than this. so I'm going to split it in half. This is a good choice, right, we won't regret it because even though the price goes down, we have already made a profit. but if the opposite happens, we still have some of the ETH and we can still enjoy the rally.

Actually coming back to ourselves, if when buying ETH on a very cheap basis you can of course sell some or all of it, because we don't know how the cryptocurrency market will move in the future, but if you believe that ETH will reach 5k -10k, you can save it and wait for that moment to arrive
I agree with you, all options go back to oneself. and if you buy at a cheap price, there is no harm in selling for now. although the market is good, the future is difficult to predict. so it is better to secure profits when the opportunity arises. because opportunities like this don't last long, so make the best of them.

looks like ethereum price will continue to increase as some good information came in July, with the fork ethereum price increased and I think $5k could be achieved if Ethereum had a limited supply of coins

In my opinion, in this bullish situation, we have to really make good use of it so that we can get the maximum profit. so hold is one way to get more profit than you have to sell it now. because eth currently still has the potential to go up to $ 5k in the future.

I believe that Ethereum prices could go above $ 4k by the end of the year.

Ethereum fees now is so expensive mate so i suggest to hold it no matter what happen wherein if it fluctuate so many time just relax.. because its part of the performance in the market.. Indeed there's no way it will end up in a very low price, especially now where the price is too high as well, for sure it will keep the resistance level and still have a chance to excess in the future just put trust indeed this the most trusted projects in the market..

Selling now is the most anticipated decision that we will hear. I may call myself not a greedy person, I'll take this opportunity that to miss it again just like I did before. Now, since it once back to the bullish again and reaching for the new ATH this was really a chance to recover those losses. Of course, I'm not going to sell them all, what I wanted to to secure first my capital, save some, and the ETH left will be held waiting for the upgrade, who knows if the surge will continue.

yeah, seems that Ethereum should be hold until London hard-fork, EIP-1559 should be catalyst for rise at the moment, and London hard-fork will include it in Ethereum platform, which could make ETH deflationary coin, in case of much use, since ETH used to pay fees will be burned in the process
there is no supply cap currently, and will not be supply cap with EIP-1559 either, but burning coins paid for fees could make number of coins decreased with usage increased, which could provide great value

one should do their own analysis, do not this post as financial advise

One of my tactics in cryptocurrency is always to hold, sell only when you are really in short of fiat money, with the exception to immediately sell an assets, after if first has dropped in price multiple times and then recovers.
So far this works and price graphs shows that everything always grows. Maybe this tactics might be inappropriate for someone, but if perfectly works for me. Currently I'm holding most of Ethereum I have.

Looks like the EIP1559 have a good effect on the price of Ethereum in the past few weeks.
With EIP1559 coming, many are expecting for the gas fees to go down. Yes we have seen it go down already but at least we must see it almost the same fees as what BSC can offer so that some projects might return in Ethereum Blockchain instead of creating in Binance Smart Chain.

As for me, I just withdrew a portion of my ETH holdings as my way of taking profits. I'm doing dollar cost averaging on selling. I might be very optimistic but we might see a $5,000 ETH on this quarter. I'm doing both. Selling a portion of my ETH and will HODL a percentage of it for long term. I will just sell so that I have some funds to use in the bear market :).

It is an investment advice to be honest if you've said "don't sell it". I am in the same boat as well, we've seen the rise of Bitcoin to 3x but for Ethereum I think it will not settle on that area, it will be more than that. Most of the time, the price movement of ETH goes with BTC but it has been clear that lately it wasn't able to follow its footsteps. It would be much adviceable to hodl right now since Ethereum has the potential of growing more this time unlike before. Just like any other investment in crypto, at some point it is much better to hold so that it would keep on growing but be aware of the price movement before doing so. At some point, you need to sell to avoid losing more of your investment but for ETH's situation right now where the value is increasing, it is much better to hold.

The rise in the price of ethereum is also due to the first successful signs of renewal. So far, we are only seeing a certain decrease in the transaction fees for this coin, however, the next stages of the ethereum network update are planned in July and October. After that, I think that in the fall we should still see a significant increase in its price, so I think that it makes no sense to sell this coin yet.

I think for now it is better to hold than to sell, because for a price of $ 4k or $ 5k it is still very possible for an Ethereum class token as long as market conditions are very favorable for it.

All depends on your initial intention of being interested in what cryptocurrency aims for?
If the investment then it is better to hold and optimistic that in the future the value of your assets will be greater than now.
But if your condition and beliefs are shaky and tempted by the current price then you better sell, but keep in mind that you should not regret having sold in the present.
Because investing in cryptocurrencies all have a big risk as well.

make your own choice, because other people's choices will not necessarily make you satisfied. lest you regret it later because of the choices you make for now.
but if I myself I sell 25% of the assets I have in ethereum and hodl 75% because seeing the prospects now I am sure Eth will continue to rise. Especially now that people who have started turning away from eth because of the expensive gas are partly back.
but whatever your choice. You have to be absolutely sure of that choice, because if you are not sure I am sure you will definitely regret it afterwards

I will never hold Ethereum for the long term, day trading is more profitable than holding it. The daily turnover of money is better even though the profit is smaller. But everyone has their own method of taking advantage. However I chose the day trading route, and it can optimize the risk if the Ethereum price drops.
If you're good with day trading, you should be choosing it as your main option.

But that's what I also said before that I won't be holding Ethereum because it doesn't make sense to me not until I've profited from it by just holding it.

And that makes it worth it for me to hold it for a long term and will sell some.

I think you should hold ETH for a few more days. You need to start selling when the price of ETH is $4500. Now the price of ETH is increasing every day. ETH is much more likely to hit $5k. Just keep kalm and hold.

At present it would be better if the Eth is stable at 4000-5000$.  Ether is supposed to have 4000$+ now. All other alt e currently have many coin moons. Those whose origin is based on ether. If the transaction fee for ether is reduced as before. Then the demand will increase. If the demand increases, its price will increase further.

I think holding is a very profitable decision at the moment, because ETH is still in the growth stage and I believe ETH will increase again in the near future, if the price of ETH reaches $ 4k then I will sell my ETH assets,
Then what if ETH can increase to $ 5K in the near future? Are you also going to sell it for $ 4K? because the potential for ETH growth at this time is still very large and the possibility to reach the price of $ 5K is still very likely to happen this year.

Holding would he the best option for now. I see a good few days coming for ethereum as these dogecoin dudes exit and transfer to much stable coins such as btc and ethereum. As of now, ethereum overcame $3700k resistance which is quite a good sign for a shoot up movement in the next few days with minimal correction every now and then. And let us say that ethereum never does rise that much in the shirt term, I see it reaching 10k in 3rd-4th quarter of this year or maybe more. As of this moment I am slowly stacking up ethereum but by bit. Don't get left behind.

I think that with the ongoing bull market, we will see a much bigger price than $5k this year. Given that Ethereum has long exceeded its ATH set in 2018, the recoilless upward movement now has no significant resistance and we can expect a price in the region of 5 thousand dollars in the near future.

Sell a few and HODL more.

If you want to sell, don't sell all of it. Take profits but never leave that you're empty with Ethereum. I've already sold a few ETH and it's even under the price of $2k.

I have also the same goal of looking at those high price that you've mentioned that's why I'm still holding more.
so true. If I personally take both, sell 10% of what I have and hold the rest for my future investment. I aim to sell to expand my investment in other coins in the crypto market. I sold a few coins because I believe there is still a big chance in the future for eth coins. and I suggest that eth coin owners do not be immediately tempted by this high enough price and sell all of their coins. however it is all right of the eth coin owner to sell all or hold it.

I can even sell as much as 50% but I will never let myself to have nothing for Ethereum. As long as there's a need and I'm subtle making that decision, I won't regret it.

Calculating the profit that I've made from it and from the time I've bought it, as long as it's above it, that's very a good decision that I'll be grateful that happened.

And the rest if it keeps on pumping, I still have some left.

The market price for ETH is truly high this time, I can't imagine it goes like that. And for me, it was a great opportunity to sell my ETH. I was contented enough of the profit I get from holding ETH for several months and now, this is the time I have to let it go.

Many people will start showing their interest in crypto once Bullrun has come but never expect for them to stay when this will be over. However, it was then thankful that they know crypto this time, their participation is somewhat placed a huge impact on the market.

Thanks. :)
I could give you the best advice, if you can give you your Ethereum portfolio. Some altcoins can't bear the huge amount of money when you sell altcoins. Now you can sell Ethereum if the Ethereum portfolio is lower than 10k-20k USD. I know today ETH did a new ATH, even though I will tell you to sell Ethereum to buy other altcoins.

My choice would be to HODL absolutely. Because I have a really big expectation from the price this year. For now, it's reached $3.9k the most. And it is still on the rise. I think we will see at least $5k in this year.

I will choose to hold my Ethereum until it reaches my target value before I sell it. Because at present its value is constantly increasing and I think it will continue to increase. But ofcourse it is very risky, we can’t say exactly what will happen next. The most unexpected can happen so I must also be prepared for whatever the outcome of my decision will be.

I had intension of selling some of my ethereum when the value hits $3600, but as it stands I'm positive about the value hitting $5,000 in less than a week. I'm still holding and believe that the value could even surpass $10,000 before long. There's so much development going on in the ethereum blockchain and this pump is sustainable.

especially at this time the market is very bullish whatever looks good will always dash past ATH.

There is no reason to sell ETH, it is having news of considering ETF approval, similar to an ETF for bitcoin.  If so, imagine how big of an advantage you have, it has new ATH and continues to increase.  With ETH, just Hold for this year and next year.  It will produce x2 compared to this point.  ETH is extremely favorable to hold, just need time to trigger the big rocket kick with Ethereum 2.0.  I don't think anyone will foolishly sell ETh at the moment :))

I'll HODL. I think in the long term we definitely will get 5k and maybe even 10k. It may fluctuate but it's not gonna dump completely.
Hodling will definitely be alot more better, because Ethereum is on fire right now selling any for profits now, will be like getting out of the market just when thing starts going well, Ethereum is a coin for long term hold just like bitcoin, i think the long run Ethereum will get to $10,000,as at the time writing this eth is already $3,900+ and its closer to $5,000 than ever, hitting $10,000 is very much possible.

I would personally sell Ethereum now if I had previously bought at a low price. because for now the ethereum price has exceeded the limit, in my opinion the ethereum price is already very high. but it depends on your beliefs and desires.

If you bought at the low price, then selling is a good option for now because we don't know the price will go up or down later.
We can see the history of the Ethereum price, it is all good. The most important thing is always invest what you can afford to lose so you won't regret it later.

I would recommend selling at least a part of your ETH holdings at this level. Because in the long term, things doesn't look very good for Ethereum. New projects are moving away to other chains, due to high fees and low security. ETH 2.0 now looks more like a delaying tactic to slow down this shift. The Ethereum developers are simply not listening to the users and this has left a lot of room for the competitors such as BSC and Cardano. I would recommend selling a part of the ETH holdings and then moving to Cardano or Polkadot. BNB could have been an option, but right now it looks overpriced.

If you do not need this investment amount urgently, then it is not recommended to sell. I see Ethereum going to go up in price.
This is a long-term investment you have to be patient, it will soon go higher. I believe that. Or you can sell a few, the rest continue to hold. I'm also keeping Ethereum to me.

It depends on financial need. If you need money for other purposes, you should immediately sell the ETH that you have. But if you intend to profit from ETH, you have to hold it for a long-time. At the moment ETH is on a good track, moreover ETH 2.0 will be completed soon, it is possible that ETH will hit $5k or even $10k in the future.

The answer to this question depends on how many you buy at what price. $ 3900 is a pretty good price for someone who buys it at $ 80-90, and I would sell it if I had done roughly x50 and bought it at that price. If I bought it for 3 thousand dollars, I would sell it again because it will definitely make a solid correction.

Ethereum has broken through the resistance point, the price could potentially continue to increase and it all depends on your trust in Ethereum.
I would personally go for Hodl and ignore the issue of Ethereum's high gas price, as it is not a big deal when compared to the advantages so far and if you make a lot of purchases when Ethereum's price is low.
it all depends on you, if you need it never hurts to make sales according to your needs and the rest you still hold.

The answer will behold. The amount of ETH being withdrawn from exchanges increases. DEFI is making ETH more scarce. If ETH completely moves from POW to POS, it will need ETH to be included in the nodes. So ETH will be more scarce in the future. I think ETH will continue to increase in price until about $ 10,000 according to the traders' prediction

indeed the temptation when the price goes up is one that is eager to sell. not only you but I also include wanting to sell my eth when looking at the price. but I rethink about this and I sell 30 percent of my assets because I believe eth will continue to soar over time. and maybe my advice is you should also do the same to prepare when eth starts the correction and the decline we are ready with the previously sold profit fund.
but this is just a suggestion, apart from that all the options remain in your hands because not necessarily the advice given by me and everyone here can make you happy

Selling out half of stash and holding the remaining 50% sounds like a good idea but do you checked the on going transaction fee trend of ethereum? I read that we need to include 0.05 ETH for medium priority transactions, which is around $200. Losing 5% if I have 1 ethereum means really huge one I definitely cannot afford that. Do the ethereum miners are really having any sense or just turned full of mad? I am not sure what is going on.

Regardless of whatever peak ethereum is scaling right now, I guess I cannot do anything with my stash as transaction fees are really killing me in terms of profits. I hold few ERC20 tokens but not sure how to encash them when they are trading around ATH levels.

Right now Ethereum is trading at >$4,000 per coin. Even if your prediction is true, it would mean less than 25% increase from the current levels. For my part, I would recommend selling some part of the holdings. Profit booking can be done, and if the user is worried about tax implications, then a part can be converted to Bitcoin (which is less volatile when compared to ETH) and can be cashed out next year. But be sure to check the tax liability, as some big tax increases are on the way. And this is especially important, in case you are residing in high-tax states such as California.

It's a problem that has not been resolved until now, it is true that the price of Ethereum continues to grow until now even though it has decreased yesterday. $ 200 is not a small fortune to say a transaction fee. if you make transactions with 1000 Etehreum maybe it will be easy for you. but if you only have 0.5 Ethereum this might be a big obstacle to making a profit. It's best not to take the risk right now because the transaction fees are driving people crazy thinking about it.

Yeah, I did selling but not in a way that I was panicking for the dump because I am doing is to get some assurance. I already have the capital and whatever it happens in the coming days at least I was safe, so I have nothing to worry about anymore.

Presumably any crypto price that was hype today was all upredictable and we are expecting already for a price correction and we are setting the market exchange rate of $10000 as the maximum attainable goal of Ethereum before it will going dip but to be honest it is all our prediction.
I am already taking a profit from todays Ethereum hype and left some of my token there to hodl. It is just all depend on ourselves if the current market exchange was enough for you to earn a profit or not yet.

If you are satisfy with your profit than you should sell little amount of Ethereum and hold remaining ethereum, because ethereum will surely reach at 5k$ and will go for 10k$.

Ethereum is on fire this week, rising by more than 25 percent in the past 7 days. Although analysts predict ether to continue trading higher as blockchain developers roll out new DeFi applications and adoption increases, cryptocurrency prices can fluctuate wildly, and the price of Ethereum could drop again even if the Ethereum forecast for 2021 looks rather optimistic.

Many analysts believe the value of the coin can continue to rise if it holds above the $4,000 level.

Stake your ETH in any reputable AMM and Yield Farming platforms. Doing so would satisfy both your concerns of not missing out on the potential earnings and holding longer while waiting for the price to go higher. Make sure you choose the platform that would allow you to unstake at anytime.

Thanks for the tip. This seems to be my best bet to multiply my profits in terms of USD over the long term. I'd go with Uniswap's liquity pools and lending stablecoins at Compound.Finance anytime. They're certainly profitable, serving as a good passive income system. Things will get even better with ETH 2.0. It seems to me that you can make more money with Ethereum than you'll ever do with Bitcoin in the short term. Take a look at ETH and its tokens' price performance on the market to see for yourself. How high ETH will go will greatly depend on market demand. I'd be surprised if ETH goes all the way to $5k soon.

Nonetheless, selling or "hodling" coins is a decision you'll have to make as an investor. Whatever makes you feel good, I'd say go for it. I think I'll "hodl" a portion of my ETH while putting the rest on AMM and Yield Farming platforms. As long as the bull market persists, you can make a lot of money in a very short amount of time. ;)

The best plan is to convert your ETH to BETH on Binance or OkEx. Just hold BETH until the ETH 2.0, you will be getting daily interest from it and once ETH 2.0 comes, all your BETH will be converted to ETH at 1:1 ratio. BETH rates are down at this moment, so it might be the best time to hold them and gain more and more BETH until the update.

For short term traders EIP update should be the target, that will be the time when ETH reaches its peak value.

Your calculation is only suitable in the case that Ethereum can fully activate the potential of the new version, reduce the cost to the most optimal level and as a result, this gentleness will increase community satisfaction and through that, ethereum will gain exposure to higher prices. With a condition that is somewhat strict and puts everything in the most optimal state, a bit of ethereum being sold right now is a good plan, this market is in need of such small and subtle actions, not just expecting to succeed

The growth of Ethereum has been much more than that of bitcoin. They have good reasons of growth beyond 3K but I don't see how it could sustain above 4K. The transaction fees were decreasedd and scalability of network was increased with last updates but again with higher transaction due to the pump, the network is near unuseable at the moment. This wont happen for long, the network would balance the price.

Really i did not know about this development, there is a huge difference in the price right now where Beacon ETH is trading at $3,819 while Ethereum is trading at $4164. I will be going through that development as i had no idea about all these new changes in the market :-\. The ETH 2.0 upgrade will take a long time and the timing of the complete upgrade would be next year as per the timeline giving by the developers.

For short term traders EIP update should be the target, that will be the time when ETH reaches its peak value.
Hopefully we might see the all time valuation around the time of EIP-1559 which is about to take place this July.

I am also of the opinion that ethereum will go up a lot this year and even the $ 10,000 price may not be the limit by the end of the year. I think that, if possible, this coin should be kept and partially changed only within the limits, if we are in dire need of money. It is also advisable to make a certain reserve in case this coin, for some reason, suddenly drops in price for some time. In general, I am going to hold ethereum for a long time, it is even possible that the hold will not be limited to this year. However, plans may change as the market situation changes.

I think no one can predict the movement of the crypto market, as well as Ethereum price movements later, even though Ethereum looks unstoppable, and I am sure that the potential for ethereum can touch 10,000 $, but before that, definitely Ethereum will experience a price correction, for now I hold
Ethereum is showing a strong momentum these days so i definitely hold too. I have high hopes for ethereum even before and i think its value will be even bigger in the next days.

Selling a part of it could also be a wise decision because as they say, no one can rightly predict the market and who knows it will not reach another peak again. But i also say, if you want to leave remarks and change what your future is, take the risk because there might be bigger profits waiting for you if you hold it even more.

In the study if price action, after there is a rally in price, it is often followed by a retracement or a consideration (i.e market has no clear direction). This phase often serves as a pause stage before the price continues its bullish move or breaks structure and enters a bearish market. Either way the bearish market has not started and i believe any dips in the price of Ethereum will still be recovered when the price rally resumes

I hope it keeps the momentum for a while. I'm not making myself being greedy but I was just riding on the market rise, I'll take this opportunity as well while it is still there. And besides, I wasn't in need of money for now. But if it shows some declines, I don't hesitate to sell my ETH, that was my goal now.

Ethereum is a coin that I trust very much in this market and when we have watched its development from the past, it has the potential to make you earn much more in the future. It is inevitable that it will rise to higher prices since it has a lot of potential and supporters. It would be nice to hold.

There's a chance it'll hit $10,000; the ETH bull run is just getting started, and hodling your coin will help you make more money. Since ETH has the strongest network for launching smart contracts like BNB, it is very likely that it will reclaim or break another ATH.

Just make sure you're buying the dip, recently the BTC crash and affects the other market because of Elon's tweet (https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1392602041025843203), that's the chance for you to buy those potential coins like ETH!

Thanks for the tip! I've learned something new today. I believe it's best for me to continue "hodling" ETH to accumulate bigger profits in the long term. With prices climbing past $4k, it seems to me that ETH's demand will continue to grow over the course of the year. Selling now would not be a wise idea as ETH nears the $5k range. Unless you need the money to survive, I'd suggest anyone to invest ETH into "De-Fi" applications for greater gains in the long term. Things will get interesting once EIP-1559 becomes a reality in the upcoming months. After the upgrade, ETH may grow higher in price the scarcer it becomes over time. Who knows how much it'll be worth by the end of the year? :)

Sell or HODL decisions are relative to the person who owns that asset. If the asset is stable and has a higher potential to grow over the years, and the owner has the patience to keep it for a while, then HODL decision will be more suitable. Anyway, we have to keep in our minds that, we have seen so many dips in the market in last few years and that volatility may have adverse effects on the value of your portfolio as well.

It was unexpected that Ethereum's growth could be this big, this could prove that Ethereum is one of the top Altcoins that is suitable for long-term investment. if we are influenced by Ethereum's rising growth to make a sale, it's the same as we are wasting valuable assets that could give us the opportunity to get multiple profits in the future.

You see every coin dropped so it was not Ethereum alone and actually when I last saw, TRX dropped from 0.145 to 0.11 or something like that. Just hold strong in these times because once we panic the whales take advantage of it.

Also on horizon, there is ethereum 2.0 which might also help a lot in terms of the price for the token. I would personally hold whatever eth I have in my wallet and not going to sell them until I see ethereum 2.0 and how it performs in the market.

The hype is always there now it remains to be seen how it performs. So whatever plans you might be having right now, delaying all of them for some times till the arrival of ethereum 2.0 might get better benefits for sure. At the same time, before ethereum 2.0 arrives, BSC or some other coin may try to be top position for smart contract platform competitions as well. So, being ready to face anything will help.

Ethereum is one of the best in crypto, selling or holding is good to do most especially you find it profitable. We have different wants and needs, also ideas what best to do. The decision will always at our hands because we are the one who knows what best move to do. Assuming that joining crypto you have the knowledge which is very important.

Thanks. :)
My suggestion for you is to "hodl" it for sure and 100% sure!
Because this is only the beginning of ethereum bull run and the price of ethereum will be increasing even more. So just hold yourself and do not sell your coins.

Ethereum is already looking overpriced. ETH now accounts for close to 20% of the total cryptocurrency market cap and it's valuation stands at around $450 billion. Given the disadvantages such as high transaction fee and lack of scalability, I would say that ETH is looking extremely overpriced at these levels. I would rather sell at least a part of the ETH holdings, and divert at least partially towards other coins such as Cardano, Litecoin and Polkadot. Even Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum Classic looks attractive now.

Thanks. :)
Most eth have moved from exchange to private wallets. That means many big whales now planning to hold eth for long duration. This is the time to hold as eth is improving fast on technical front and is being widely adopted by various business.
I would not sell before $10k

Switching to private wallets can also be because quite a few people no longer trust exchanges, a lot of investigative information has recently appeared with exchanges, so ethereum being moved out of exchange wallets is more secure, speculating a whale's direction based on wallet address is probably an overly classical scheme, don't get lost in the fog like that. Ethereum may be in a period of improvement but will it be able to resist the mainstream of bitcoin, the pullback is already strong and affects ethereum pretty much

DEFI is increasing the scarcity of ETH. If ETH fully transitions from POW to POS, it will be necessary to include ETH in the nodes. As a result, ETH will become increasingly rare in the future. According to traders' predictions, the price of ETH will continue to rise until it reaches $ 10,000.

If you sell then you have to pay for the transaction fee which is not good if you are looking to earn profit. If wanted to sell why not sell all to save from fee. Well, if you have huge amount of eth then fee is not a problem but for smaller amount then that is the problem your going to face. Well, I use an exchange and also a wallet that let me exchange to xrp and which let me save fee before buying and selling if i'm going to trade.

If the rumors are true, then current prices may be only the tip of the iceberg. The world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap will become a store of value that would "mimic" Bitcoin's economic model. It wouldn't be wise to sell all of your ETH now, since you could miss an opportunity of a lifetime to make large profits. I'd put aside a very small portion of ETH into some "De-Fi" lending platforms, while holding the rest on my wallet for the long term. The higher the price per coin, the more profit I'll be able to "cash out" over time.

Of course, there's always the option of diversifying your investment into other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Cardano. As long as you spend your money wisely, nothing else matters. For those unaware, "De-Fi" brings you the opportunity to make your own passive income for long term profits. ETH has many dApps with high interest rates for "hodlers". Stablecoin lending platforms and liquidity pools is where the money's at. The longer you "hodl", the higher rewards you'll be able to reap in the future. It's a win-win situation for both ETH and "hodlers" alike. Just my opinion :)

The Ethereum market in recent days has shown impressive developments, between selling or buying it back to the living needs of each individual, if you need funds you can sell it because ethereum is already profitable now, or really doesn't really need money to meet your needs, hold it. also a good choice, while waiting for ethereum to flourish.

Yes, in terms of time and price, it is time to sell and buy back at the lowest price, because now the market conditions are uncertain, so taking profit while you can is a very extraordinary strategy in my opinion.

It was a good opinion. The price of ethereum reached $ 4600, and if at that time it was sold, then now, with its current price of $ 2200 - $ 2300, that is, in fact, it has fallen by half, it would be possible to double your reserves of this promising coin. However, many of us still believed that cryptocurrency would rise in value for a while and did not. Well, cryptocurrency is very unpredictable and we have the right to our own choice of time and method of our actions.

Why investing in crypto is a very high risk, because the price is very volatile. Like the Ethereum which managed to hit the ATH price above $ 4k
10 days ago, but now it has dropped by a staggering 48% to $ 2200. Therefore, it is very fortunate that those who managed to sell the Ethereum
price when it reached ATH, but those who did not sell Ethereum did not need to panic. Since the Ethereum price is definitely going up again, we only
need holding the Ethereum we have right now. If we haven't bought Ethereum yet or even want to buy Ethereum again, we can buy Ethereum
at its current price. Which in my opinion is now the price of Ethereum is low.

I believe it is too early to sell ETH which is why the price is will day by day and seems to be continuing until the end of the year. But it is up to you to make the decision. If you believe that ETH is a good price, then sell your coins. However, ETH is worth more than this price. Therefore I choose to keep until the right time.

^ We are the same, I still have faith in ETH that will raise soon, we know that most altcoins as of now follow the dominance of BTC price and we saw that the market is not good yet. For me, ETH and BTC are almost the same when it comes it getting profit, so there is a potential that you will probably earn in the future, most especially when volume 2 will successfully be launched and the fees will go down and back like what happened before. Just HODL you ETT and never think to sell it.

I've bought the dip and have been accumulating as much ETH as I can to save them up for a rainy day. There are better profit opportunities with Ethereum than it's the case with Bitcoin these days. The wide array of decentralized applications help you achieve a greater ROI on your ETH holdings. I've been lending stablecoins on Aave, while putting some ERC-20 tokens on Uniswap's liquidity pool. The returns have never been so good, with price per token going all the way to the moon. It's a win-win situation if you ask me. I'd be wise to "hodl" ETH in the long run as the best is yet to come.

As far as the crypto market is concerned, I don't think the "bears" have taken over yet. ETH fell down from nearly $4k to just $2.3k, but it's been recovering at a fast pace. The "bloodbath" will occur once Bitcoin goes all the way down to $20k. That would be the perfect opportunity to buy more ETH for the future. With staking soon to become a reality, it would be unwise to sell all of your ETH now for cash. Just my thoughts ;D

If you want to take profits and then repurchase at a lower price, that is another question, if you just want to take good profits no matter when, then you should wait.
At the very least, you should wait another year for the full transition to Ethereum 2.0 to take place.

Selling or HODL all depends on the initial strategy that we apply.
if we just want to make a quick profit then buy it at a low price and sell it at a high price.
however as Holder buys at low prices then continues to hold it until now before the target is reached.

Even though HODL some ETH when the ETH price has hit $ 4k, at least selling a few percent is very reasonable as securing profits is so important.

At that time, I also thought about this issue and did not dare to sell my ethereum in the first half of May, when the price of this coin rose to $ 4,000 and above. We hoped that the price would continue to rise for some time, but the fall, as always, was quick and sudden. Now we would be able to buy the same ethereum at half the price.
At the same time, I was personally restrained from selling this coin by the expectation of its price growth due to the introduction of the next stages of updating its network, which should take place in July and October. Well, I think that we will still get our profit a little later.

Sure and certain long term hodling can be very promising, for ETH it's predicted to touch 5k and for sure it will touch it and rise above it, Ethereum is a very strong and potential coin which has really been perforrming very well and it's next to bitcoin, for me I think you should hodl if you ain't in need of cash so urgently because the bull run is still very much around the corner and I think ether is still undervalued at it's current price. Ethereum will keep hitting great all time highs, and even in market crash it didn't fall so much in prices like other altcoins.

Holding on because the market is still experiencing a downturn is good, but I believe that if the market is on the rise,
there won't be many people holding it at this point.
Yes, seeing so far I really believe the market can recover soon,
I think it's only a matter of time so it's better at this time to be patient waiting for it,
the most important thing is to just follow the existing developments so as not to miss the information

If you are a long-term player and holding coins for years then this is not the time to sell Ethereum. Wait for the EIP update and also ETH 2.0, because when that comes ETH will be going for an All-Time High. Till then the best thing you can do is convert your ETH to BETH and get daily dividends.

to be honest i just sold my ethereum for some reason. if it were under normal circumstances, I would probably hold on to it believing that this coin will have a price tag of over $ 5k in the future. however, for now the price is dropping due to the dumping of bitcoin prices. however, right now I might prefer to hold back if I didn't have an urgent matter.

You by yourself must decide what to do, well, in general, the Ethereum price in the future will reach both 5k$ and 10k$, but when it will be still unknown, and therefore if you urgently do not need money that you invested in Ethereum, then of course it is better to wait until the price of Ethereum will reach new heights, but if you urgently need money, you can sell some of your Ethereums, but since the price of Ethereum has dropped very much lately, it is of course best to wait for a new rise in the price of Ethereum.

Selling ethereum made sense when it grew in price over $ 4,000, so now you can buy it at this low price. In general, in the medium and long term, as Ethereum 2.0 is gradually introduced, this coin should grow in capitalization and price dominance, and by these indicators it may even surpass Bitcoin. Therefore, this coin is now worth holding for a long term, its price can rise many times.

I agree, I also choose to hold ethereum if I have it. Currently, it seems that ethereum has lowered the fee. So, I think it will be very easy for this coin to go up when the bitcoin price goes up. I am also quite sure that when the price of bitcoin is also stable, there is still a possibility that the price of this coin will go up high if the fee remains cheap.

Vitalik has a broader vision when it comes to tackling Ethereum. He realized there would be a time when the Ethereum network would get boring and he prepared a further project to improve to keep Ethereum fun to use. Vitalik is a very talented developer and there is no doubt about his ability to manage Ethereum 2.0.

Right now Ethereum's popularity is like a time bomb that will explode at any time, when the explosion occurs it will be expensive, that is when updates start to be released.
So the best option for me is, sell Ethereum only when need money to eat. Because this can be a savings future that is brighter than a car or a house.

I think hold is better option now for Ethereum as long as you don't need to cash out, don't sell. Ethereum slightly dropped now and the gas fee also lowered which I think will cause a bounce back. If you have extra capital, buy more now. Ethereum will develop continuously and will attract more demands again. It has a lot f competitors like Binance smart chain and Polkadot that's why it needs to develop more and lower the transaction fees.

My personal advice to anyone having ethereum coin right now is to hodl it, ETH 2.0 is getting upgraded soon and it is also possible to go mainstream soonest, this will be a very big boost to ether and price is likely to skyrocket above 5k$ when the time arrives.
So for me, i advice us to hodl eth.

Well, you know, now I do not hold the broadcast because I need it so much. And because it is not clear how much the transaction will cost tomorrow inside the network. I have to pay for translations. Work with uni. And the price of ether will grow anyway. But BNB will grow proportionally.

sell or HODL? good question, if i were you i would sell Ethereum when it reached the new all time high, yes at $4000,
but if you still haven't sold Ethereum, my advice is Hold, because if you sell now of course your losses will be bigger, yeah don't worry,
Ethereum will be back to $4000 again in the next few months, I'm sure of this
My opinion is opposite to yours, I think if OP still not sell yet then should sell the ETH now, maybe we can only sell it for $400  in a few months.
The Bear is coming,we should stop having unrealistic illusions. It is always saying,“Cash is king”.

:)  Bears bears. You always have one bear in your head. The practice of the past may not always be repeated this year.  If ether got rid of bitcoin. Then we would only grow.  I continue to believe in growth. It's just a correction.

That's clear because everyone also runs such a strategy, the only problem is that the bull market and the bear market don't come at the predicted time that we set for ourselves except for people who are always patiently waiting for it.

I suggest if you have ethereum in your wallet better hodl it because seeing that there are plenty of innovations, progress and growth happening to ethereum makes it very ideal crypto to invest with. I have a strong feeling that in a long run ethereum can out perform and out rank bitcoin and become the king of cryptocurrencies.

it is true that the strategy for now is hold. we know that two weeks ago almost all coins experienced a decline, so did ETH. I'm sure a lot of people have complained about it. and to return the existing capital, in my opinion there is no other strategy other than HOLD. stay patient and always believe that in the near future ETH will rise again.

it depends on your choice, but when viewed with ethereum whose prospects are very promising, I advise you to sell some and take the capital you have and then hold more.
but for now because the market is not good and it's hard to predict it would be better if you prepare to increase the load you have so that when the bullish trend has entered you can immediately add your assets on ethereum because I believe this asset will continue to grow and will continue to grow. soar up

Sell a few and HODL more.

If you want to sell, don't sell all of it. Take profits but never leave that you're empty with Ethereum. I've already sold a few ETH and it's even under the price of $2k.

I have also the same goal of looking at those high price that you've mentioned that's why I'm still holding more.
but for now I don't think selling is a good option because it would be a shame to sell it at the current price.
maybe wait some time and if you can add your assets so that later you will get more results.
especially today's market is very difficult to predict. hold on for a while don't panic and stay relaxed because one day the price will be as expected

I think Ethereum is a blue chip on the crypto market with a wide array of dApps, tokens, and services built around it. The new upgrade will make things better for Ethereum as it improves the network's transaction capacity. It would be best to buy and "hodl" ETH for the long term, as the best is yet to come. $2k per ETH is nothing if we consider its active development and innovation. With a brilliant mind like Vitalik behind the project, Ethereum should head towards non-stop success. Competitors like Cardano or Binance Chain haven't been able to take down ETH's place on the market, even if they're much faster and cheaper for day-to-day payments. This shows us that decentralization and mainstream adoption matters most. Which is why I believe that selling a small portion of your ETH while "hodling" the rest may be the wisest decision you'll ever make as the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap goes all the way to the moon. Just my thoughts ;D

I would hold Ethereum considering, that it will upgrade itself for example with EIP 1559. So it has a lot of potential. Not a financial advice.

And the much awaited version 2.0 that would go sooner , this has been expecting the great climb of ETH value when released finally.
I would personally sell Ethereum now if I had previously bought at a low price. because for now the ethereum price has exceeded the limit, in my opinion the ethereum price is already very high. but it depends on your beliefs and desires.

I tend to not sell any Ethereum I have that I have invested projecting long term. I believe Ethereum became really similar to Bitcoin in terms of influence over crypto markets. So ethereum investment always works if you are patient enough to wait.

Besides, if one has been reckless in holding, July is becoming the month of hope, several upgrades and renovations are underway and waiting for a public release date

Would you really sell Ethereum right now? Think about potential is has. Remember how easily price went up from around 250 bucks to 4k in roughly half a year. This was achieved thanks to Bitcoin also. But come on, from 0.25 to 4k. And it not a crappy altcoin, which price was simply pumped with hype. It is a long lasting project, where devs always come up with something innovative.

ETH has had a very good recovery, in fact it has been by 0.5% which is not bad, it is expected that at least BTC will continue to rise and we can expect ETH to rise more, the ETH bulls are waiting for better market movements, everything it's a matter of waiting:

With an hourly gain of 0.5%, Ether was trading at $2326.40 at press time. Price action for the digital asset has been mixed as Ethereum did witness price reversal after it crossed $2300. At the time of writing, ETH was still above the $2300 level, but it fell short of moving past the resistance level of $2481. At press time, the altcoin had observed a hike of 3% in 24 hours.

As long as the price of BTC continues to rise, I think it is necessary to have ETH in HODL mode, even if the price goes down, it is best not to sell because volatility can skyrocket widely.

for now what you say is very believable and obviously I also strongly believe it. only bitcoin and ethereum coins that can now be trusted will bring progress in the future if we want to invest our funds in it. for other coins, it does need a more in-depth analysis because it is difficult to determine when the situation is red like this.

bitcoin and ethereum are doing very well, both for the long term and for now, with the possibility that bitcoin and ethereum will be able to increase again by the end of this year. because indeed a period of change to continue to increase will occur at the end of this year and is likely to make ATH renewable. so we need to be patient waiting for the increase to occur in time.

after the change occurs, you just have to decide to sell it and wait for the correction to come back at which time is the best time to buy and make an investment, then go back to waiting for the changes that will come in time.

sell or hold depending on the profit you get, I suggest a minimum of 10% profit for me to sell so we can get a profit. but if the profit is below 10% it is better to hold it first until the time is right

Selling is a good option if you've bought Ethereum when it went down to $1700 - $1800 and you're in need of cash. But if you don't want to sell then don't sell.

People who are selling have reasons even if it's not the all time high price. We cannot wait forever for it to be back at the ath price because it's going to need more time again.

So if we decide to hold, no one stops us from doing that and vice versa.

Decision making needs to have a much deeper research, both of you have your own opinions and point.

It's up to your good understanding and strategy that you are using in terms of putting things into actions, for day traders shorting is good for theri business while for long term holders who are aiming to maximize all the profits (real supporters) they are willing to wait for the full blast and new peak for more  profits.

Prices are higher and may rise again after some positive news that causes the market to go green.
Don't be misguided, this can only be a reference that Ethereum can go up again but we have to see some corrections that occur maybe it's more appropriate to wait a bit from the current price, I see prices like pacing the same as bitcoin.

The new upgrades will definitely stimulate ETH's price growth over the long term. Those who sell their ETH now, will regret themselves in the future once it goes past $5k per coin. I'd just buy and "HODL" ETH until the time is right to sell it. There's more to it than meets the eye. You'll make a lot more money by staking ETH 2.0 and "hodling" it for the long-term. You'll be able to cash out big rewards once it goes all the way to $10k. Ultimately, the decision of buying or selling lies in yourself. As long as you manage your investments accordingly, you'll have nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts ;D

In the case of ETH, it is true that while BTC does well, ETH will do better, so far it has reached prices above 2219USD, which is not bad, in fact many are betting on a bullish trend without a doubt. :

The bulls have sustained Ether (ETH) above the 20-day exponential moving average ($2,219) for the past three days, which indicates that the sentiment is turning positive. The buyers are currently attempting to push and sustain the price above the 50-day simple moving average ($2,369).

Of course, the option that BTC may fall cannot be ruled out, but for now in the short term good things are expected, now more than ever HODL should be given in ETH.

Bitcoin is showing no stability for months now same as ethereum though ETH made a good pump recently compared to bitcoin.

Ethereum pump up to more than 2,000$ again while bitcoin still struggling to take position at 40,000$

in this i think indeed that ETH is far much good in bouncing these days than bitcoin.
