Hello All,
If you have made several purchases of BTC though out the last couple years, how do you figure out what price you've paid?
Is there an app or site that can do this type of spread sheet for you?

You can manually insert your transactions and prices in Delta, although it's closed source and I don't recommend it. I typically do this kind of stuff on a LibreOffice spreadsheet so that none of my tx info goes towards a centralized server.

There is also the option to track Bitcoin transactions through Delta by adding the public address, as far as I know. It should automatically process all your transactions and calculate the prices and all.

The price comparing with the exchange rate of the time I purchased? In other words, the price in BTC or the price in BTC/USD?

If you mean the first one, then I can view my transactions on a block explorer, such as Blockchair (https://blockchair.com/), but you should note that the explorer will know what you're looking and thus, you may ruin your privacy. There are other ways to view your transactions too such as setting up your own Electrum server (https://github.com/chris-belcher/electrum-personal-server), that would require running your own Bitcoin node (https://bitcoin.org/en/full-node), but I won't keep going, because I don't know how familiar you are with these terms.

If you mean the second one, just create a spreadsheet and write your spent bitcoins along with the exchange rate it had when you made the purchase. On a third table, you could have the sum.

Edit: On Blockchair you can see the transaction value in USD of the exchange rate the time it was broadcasted. This is an example of Hal Finney receiving 50 bitcoins in 2009:

If you buy through centralized exchanges, you can easily find trading history. Or if you buy in p2p or DEX (onchain transactions), just use blockchair .com to find out your bitcoin purchase history based on the USD pair at the time.

You can track your bitcoin buy and sell using your addresses. If it is on a custodial exchange you buy the bitcoin, you can make use of the addresses, look for better blockchain explorer like https://blockchair.com or https://www.blockchain.com/explorer, you will be able to see you transaction history. If you buy from someone directly with noncustodial wallet, you can even do that with the help of master public key, the noncustodial wallet will even has the transaction history.

There's a number of ways to do it. If you have no record of your transactions and no way to ask your exchange or person who you bought from for the data, check the dates of your transactions.

If you made a transaction the coins were transferred to your adddress. Compare that time to the average price of bitcoin at that exact day.

I guess we'd need more information about the way you were buying to help.

I don't know of such an app or site, but you could simply do things manually instead. You could make use of blockchair.com. You could go over your previous transactions there, look out for the date and the amount of Bitcoin in that particular transaction, and then look for the price of Bitcoin on that specific date through coinmarketcap or coingecko.

I've been buying on Coinbase only, no selling or trading.
But if I have say 30+ purchases on various dates/prices, is there an app or site that can organize/arrange to help figure out this info?

I guess I'm talking about s spread sheet of sorts... something of which I've never used before.

I think the best way to track your payments with your previous transactions is to manually track them. The pro-sequences is that even when it’s been a long time already, you can still track each and every single transaction you had as long as you still have the access to your accounts.

If it’s in exchange you had your transactions with, you may check your trading history and the markdowns are there waiting for you to be checked.

If not, try to check the blockchain and you will see your entire transactions in the blockchain.

There are some apps that can track that for you like Delta or Rotki, and you can even use websites like Coingecko with portfolio you can create and enter every purchases manually.
You will see gains or losses and there is even option to directly connect your account with API from exchanges and track everything automatically.
One more option if you are using Electrum wallet is to add Labels with more information for each receiving addresses.

That's true but it still can end up being a total mess if you traded back and forth and used several exchanges. Best is to have different accounts for different activities. If you want to trade back and forth or even a couple of trades a week the best recommendation would be to have a different account for funds that you are planning to hold onto for a longer period of time. Will also save you from trouble with tax authorities.

It should be very easily available in your history of purchase. If it is not then you would have to improvise, see just see how much money you deposited and how much BTC you got for that much. Then you can just compare the price from the market and calculate the exact price which you purchased BTC for.

Other than that there are indeed a lot of apps which can help you simplify such things. It all depends on your transaction history.

If all of this is not possible then just look for your bank account. You would have ofc transferred money from there to the wallet or exchange, you can then calculate from there also it's pretty easy.

Is that info not available on your account history page? Some trading tools will require an API to check the price for each purchase, as mentioned above. If it's less than 50 buying history, I think manually doing it is still an option.

I am also looking for something similar like EthPlorer (https://ethplorer.io/) where all our transaction and price at that moment and current price is shown but for BTC.
I know that it would only make me regret those silly transactions that I had in the past but it could be my inspiration to hold and accumulate as much as I could.

You can manually convert bitcoin by viewing the price at the time you bought it.
For example, in 2016, the price of bitcoin was $ 400. If you bought 0.5 bitcoins, it means that in 2016, you paid $ 200 for bitcoins, and at today's price of bitcoins, you will have $ 27,000.
