Ugh, sorry to everyone who knew Becky666 for your loss--I wasn't familiar with him, but obviously the Nigerian board did and he was well-liked.

And yeah, OgNasty, the loved ones of the person who died will miss them but it's even harder when you're talking about someone who died young, well before his time.  Not to get into my personal business, but I recently lost a very good friend and was notified by e-mail by his family.  Shit like that hits you hard.  So RIP, Becky666.

Sad news to lose one of us  :'(

I didn't know him closely but I would bump into some of his posts in Beginners and Gambling boards and had noticed his contributions right from the time he was Newbie rank. You could see that he was one of those budding forum members.
My prayers and thoughts to friends and family. May they keep strong during these trying moments

I thought so too! And its really shocking to finally find out his actually a man and it took death fir this to come into light. So much for the anonymous nature of cryptocurrency!

Well, his gone now and its really sad to loose someone like him. From What I gather in this post and the links above, he was an active community member and its bad death snatched him from all who held him dear.

May his soul rest in the blossom of his creator.

They managed to accumulate an impressive 228 merits in the nearly two and a half years as a member of the Bitcointalk community gaining them the rank of 663rd overall for Most Earned Merit (actually earned, not including airmailed merit of which there was none) and they attained the 1558th most recognised rank too.

Is the negative feedback all that necessary when it comes to the owner of the account dying? I know that it warns the people for possible takeover of another person but I think a neutral feedback is enough.

For an example here are some of our departed members profile look like.
TECSHARE (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=15728)
Zepher (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=369879)

The only one I could think of having a negative tagged on his account after his death is Phinnaeus Gage (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=24792) where it has shown that someone else is using his account.

Although I wasn't familiar with him or I can't remember, but the feeling is like I lost one of our family members. I always think that the forum users (we) are a family, any minus from here isn't expected. Really feeling sad when I saw his last post was made on 1st May but today he isn't with us. We don't know when we will leave the world and from the forum as well. I don't know how should I express my feeling right now. Just I pray and hope Becky666 is fine in heaven.

Honestly, I don't see any reason why CryptopreneurBrainboss left negative feedback on Becky666 profile? Should I get tag when I passway? Isn't fine neutral feedback? I don't think it's necessary.

Peace be upon you Becky666.

For sure, he was or should I say like family. I had few encounters with him in the forum as a fellow countryman and most of all, a fellow bitcointalkforum user. He was never a resentful person, he shared same values with us, our ideas and space. He stands one of the few in the world and amongst us, as the once trying to make bitcoin, bitcointalk and cryptocurrencies an adorned and honourable field in the world as we have it. His contributions to the forum surely affected some lives and to those who benefited from him directly, he would be missed and also, those who by the means of his activities would have related or benefited from the other lives he affected, he's did of good got to them and also, would miss him as well.

It is our wish above all else, that his in a better place to have transcended to the beyond for which we know not and hope that, his family finds courage and strength to bare this irreversible lose.

RIP Becky666

Becky666 might haven't been known by many but with the few he had some relationship with I tell you, they all have good things to say about him and not just because he's dead but fir his personality. I personally had a relationship with him outside the forum although we got to know each other from the forum.

He's going to be missed, I remember all his advice and admiration and also his desire to achieve greater heights on the forum by constantly improving on his posting style theb the illness came and slowed him down.

Death took him too soon, he struggled with illness and it was obvious he wasn't doing ok as he got dropped from a campaign he enrolled in due to not been active managed by Hhampuz. I wasn't ready for such news of his departure when I receive it because this is someone that I had personal relationship with although we don't know each other physically and haven't met before.

May his soul RIP.

Brainboss, if there is anything I can do to help, let me know please.

We (Nigerian community) haven't taken a decision yet, information reaching me is that he has already been buried but I haven't confirmed this from family members as all attempts to reach them have been unsuccessful. Initially I would had love a representative to attend the burial but that won't be possible so the only thing we can do now is to show the family he (Becky666) had another family In us.

We'll try to assist the family financially with anything we have, he was a married man with a kid (I know of a daughter) and information reaching me is the wife is pregnant. If you'll be interested in this, I can keep you updated via pm as all information will be shared on our local thread.

For now we're still discussing on what to be done immediately we make a collective decision, I'll update you but first lets try to reach the family to know how things are going. Thank you

"A single death is a tragedy, a million death is a statistic" ~ Joseph Stalin

It hurts to lose a member of our local board, seems more like losing a family with who you could interact with. I was very sad when the news came to me and was just thinking why he didn't open up sooner if we (as a whole community) could do anything to help the situation.

Rest in Peace, brother.

I ain't saying RIP because it's the right thing to say at this time but as someone who had a few online interactions with you here. I remember how we exchanged pieces of information while you were with us at Roobet. How little did I know those were your winding up days. This inevitability of death reminds me of the real vanity of man's existence and struggles. Life is truly shorter than we even think.

Rest well, bro.

Brainboss please furnish us with the burial arrangement if possible.

The news came as a shock so before I could verify the news to update the community, the burial has already been finalized. He's from a region that don't keep the dead if the parents are still alive so he was buried as quickly as possible. We had plans of attending (paying our last respect) if it wasn't conducted that fast but there's not much we can do now expect what we're organizing on our local thread.

We have assigned different tasks to members of the community as we have interest in assisting the family financial due to news reaching us of him leaving behind his daughter and a baby on the way. We didn't want to present this as a burden to the forum so decided to do it indoor still support has come from (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5121680.msg57012398#msg57012398) his former employer on the forum (Rollbit team) and anonymous donations and community members donations has come in too. We'll keep the forum updated.

I've never known Becky666 and I can't remember how many of her post I responded to. My condolence for his death and wish him all the best. We all know that nothing is permanent in this world, all will die and that is a sure thing. Goodbye Becky666, you are entitled to a place in the memory window of the bitcoin community in your country and elsewhere for your contribution since 2019.

Becky666 is actually not a female regardless of the name you see (I had the same assumption at first :) ). It's true that nothing would last forever on earth. That's why, it is expected of us to always live our life to the fullest while ensuring that we only leave good memories of us when we're gone. Becky666 might be gone but his support and contributions to the Nigerian bitcoin community here on the forum won't be forgotten in a hurry. I pray his finds peace too and happiness. His death came as a shock to the community.

After seeing this I am just thinking maybe one day someone post about me..
After losing Bruno I had the same feeling. Life is too short, we know all of us have to leave sooner or later but it still hurts when a loved one leave you forever.

Little wonder why its said, you should live everyday like its your last. Sadly, you can't do that as it would mean, you getting an over of everything not thinking of tomorrow. Though, its sure that you can do the most good and the next good everyday and be a life changer for the world around you. Such is life and with the responses in this thread, even ti the fact that a few users didn't get to have noted him for his good, at least non linked the diseased to anything evil. This goes a long way to say, Becky666 was a fare user in all his dealings.

Its so sad that things like this happens unexpectedly and suddenly. The ones who feel it the most are the ones left behind. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Damn, I was thinking about the same thing.
Dunno if we have a topic about deceased members of our forums, no longer remember, but I recalled Bruno, Zepher, Paraipan, Hal Finney and others..
It is sad to read such news especially that almost every day you hear people are dying due to Covid-19 mainly or other causes.
Hope other members that didn't connect for quite long time are ok and healthy.
My condolence for his family and friends :'(

I don't know him, but based on how you describe him, I'm convinced he's done good things for the forum. To be honest, it makes me sad that someone in this forum has died, even though we don't know each other.
My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends, particularly those who knew him here on the forum.

RIP @Beck666!

Bruno's one is more hurtful for me because he was close to me than anyone else above. It does not mean that it feels better for others. It was hurt touching losing Zepher, Paraipan, Hal and other users from the forum.

My condolences to the family, such a sad news coming at this time.
I can't begin the pain the family and loved ones are going through at the moment. It's always difficult having to deal with losing a loved one. I didn't know Becky666 personally but he was easy to spot on the Nigerian hangout because he was always active. Farewell to Bexky666, although you may no longer be with us but your contribution to the bitcoin community will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with us.

Also this comes as a wake up call, this news came to us through Lordhermes who had a good relationship with Becky666. This goes to say even though the forum provides some sort of anonymity we should try our best to interact and meet up with our countrymen and members around your city. This would help us develop a stronger bond in the future.

I was very much touched by all this.
I see life and death as the opposite faces of a coin. There is a Dream Theater's song, The Spirit Carries On, that helped me to relieve the grief when I lost my loved ones and that I would like to dedicate to this guy whom I did not know but was a nice guy around here.

My condolence goes to the family of this lost follow (@becky666).

Death is one painful thing we all owe to the people we are going to leave behind. It is painful when you don't see a loved one anymore.

It is painful that death will always have a particular excuse or course for picking up someone either in sickness, accident or even through the deadly covid-19 pandemic.

I also use this time to extend condolence to every body who have lost someone during last year to this season from any course including covid-19.

RIP to the account bearing Becky666

RIP @Becky666. you are very active in the gambling discussion board, so it's easy to notice you, however, I didn't notice you were inactive already and I just see this thread and was surprised you are already gone in this world. I hope you'll live in peace in another life, and thanks to OP for making us aware of it.

Had you read any of the posts in this thread you would know that Becky666 was male and had images of women on their profile's avatar.  It's not big deal, I myself have posted images of numerous women on my own profile's avatar.

Is it an issue worth dwelling on?  Probably not.
