Title: Historic Bitcoin datasets on AWS
Post by: NotATether on May 11, 2021, 12:53:09 AM
During an unrelated feature comparison I stumbled upon this free dataset from Inca Digital:

https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-dj3u2lq7vbmxu?qid=1620694173607&sr=0-12&ref_=srh_res_product_title

Has anyone used these datasets before? What other columns do they provide other than transaction-related stuff and hashrate?

Blockchain metadata dataset for Bitcoin (BTC). This dataset is covering 2020, for full historical datasets and other blockchain, please refer to other Inca Digital products
Updates: monthly updates
Example: btc_historical.csv

https://www.blockchain.com/charts is a decent source of historical data.

It tells you what columns are provided:
Quote from:
_time,HashingAlgorithm,MaxCoinSupply,NetworkHashrate,Difficulty,AvgTransactionValue,AvailableSupply,TransactionCount,TransactionValue,AvgTransactionFee,DailyTotalTransactionFees,TransactionValueUSD,DailyTotalRewards,Marketcap,NVTRatio,AnnualizedStockToFlow,StockToFlow

My guess is they are offering their 2020 data for free so people will subscribe to their $60,000/year subscription (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-2yl6f57wetg3q?qid=1620822853473&sr=0-4&ref_=srh_res_product_title#overview) that appears to go back further. One of their other $60k/year datasets contains (https://aws.amazon.com/marketplace/pp/prodview-zzizh7cudv2ag?qid=1620822853473&sr=0-3&ref_=srh_res_product_title#offers) more information about each column.

https://www.blockchain.com/charts is a decent source of historical data.
Is these numbers for Bitcoin specifically?
Because the menu contains both Bitcoin & Ethereum
