what's your token address?

Reading your title and a brief description, I thought you.offered an insurance against failed ICO --and if this is true, you're not the first to propose this idea, and I don't think any of your predecessor actually managed to seriously run this sector-- but reading your terms and condition, as I screenshotted below, i am rather dubious. Are you actually offering a brokerage service?

If this platform will require KYC from their potential clients, can we also see the team behind this project?
The concept is great as token holders of failed projects have the chance to get their money back.
But I believe it is hard also for the token to list in their system to be included in their insurance system.
So what are the major criteria on how you are selecting those tokens to be included in your GIIS program?

You have my question right above your post still unanswered. While for the article, although it might add a bit credential and confidence for your project, it actually brings more questions for me. Allow me to give direct snippets from the article:


Your goal is to cover investors from a failed ico, but you require the said ico to be at least on one exchange and has a no less than 1 million euro in capital. If a project managed to be on one exchange --I believe the requirement imply that the exchange is a CEX and not a DEX-- and has 1M euro in capital, it doesn't sounds like a rugpull or an exit-scam.

Once again we are excited to share with you the answers to the questions our community has asked during the last session! We covered a lot of topics, which is why we have decided to split the post into three! So, the first part of the AMA with the GIIS INITIATIVE speaker is here!

Q1) Can you briefly describe what is GIIS INITIATIVE ?

We would like to know more about it and how it works.
I won't be going into much detail, as it can get rather technically boring for some of the readers. But the essence of it is that GIIS stands for Global ICO Insurance System. As the name suggests, we are looking to act as an insurance system for the less fortunate ICO projects, therefore giving them a second chance, whilst protecting the investment amount of the ICO participants.

Q2) What are your main features that distinguish you from other similar projects and what competitive advantages do you have ahead of them?

Well, to be honest, there are simply no competitors in this process so far. At least to my knowledge.
Most of the ICO projects and blockchain projects generally are focused on their own thing, they do not expand into other projects and collaborations. As opposed to this, we in fact do and constantly look for new partnerships that everyone can benefit from: us, the partner and especially the customers.

In fact the whole idea of the GIIS appeared once we successfully worked through our own insurance that we promised back in the pre-ICO days. Having seen how happy the clients were, the idea to expand into 'not our own' projects arose.

Q3) How does an ico project apply for GIIS?

It's quite simple - the contact form on the official GIIS page is the easiest way to get in touch with us and certainly to get our attention. A member of the team would then reply to schedule an online chat and to take it from there. There is a simple questionnaire for such projects which helps us to quickly understand where we can assist. However, please note that not any ICO project can be accepted as our specialized department does the necessary checks to avoid scammers and otherwise bad projects.

Q4) How is community important for an initiative project like GIIS INITIATIVE? And how do you wish to expand the community?

Of course a large and understanding community is always beneficial to any project. The faster the word spreads - the better! That is one of the reasons we enjoy having been invited to such communities as yours! Since we have been on the market for a number of years, we have a great team of specialists that know how to promote such online projects, get a large reach and target the needed communities. But, of course, this works even better when a product or a service is outstanding and helps people to save and even earn on their investment. That's why we have a number of specialists that do their best to deliver a product beneficial for all parties involved, whilst the 'online guys' do their best to reach out to the larger audience

Q5) What are the upcoming development in GIIS INITIATIVE that will be reflected soon as per the roadmap?

Well, in terms of the overall development we are looking for the new projects as we speak, we conduct our research on some of the projects that we've already been in touch with and are looking to onboard some that were verified. Moreover, anyone can see the roadmap and the phases of the projects on the website, it's obviously not a secret and we encourage people to check it frequently!

Late September, GIIS held an AMA with Crypto Talkz, and we are excited to share the answers given during the session! This is your opportunity to learn more about our project — read the Q&A and, if you still have questions — ask them in the comments!

Q. Could you describe GIIS and give us an introduction to the project?

Well, GIIS stands for Global ICO Insurance System. Basically, as the name suggests, it works as an insurance for ICO projects that were not as successful as the investors (the token holders) hoped for. Initially, we had an insurance system implemented for our ICO even before it took place and the investors seemed to be very happy with it, so we thought why not do the same for other projects? And that’s exactly why we decided to widen the system out to include other projects, so that other token holders can enjoy the benefits of an insurance should the project they invested in turn out to be ‘not-so-successful’. Essentially, the holders of participating projects get compensation in case the price of the token decreases after the ICO, thus the insurance compensates the difference in the prices.

Q. What are your main features that distinguish you from other projects and what competitive advantages do you have?

To be fair, it is hard to talk about competitive advantages, when there are no similar projects. I mean, insurance is a common thing nowadays, but not for crypto projects. Moreover, most insurances for crypto projects are typically implemented by the owners of this particular project, they do not extend to other projects. So, this I guess can be seen as an advantage. But all-in-all, the GIIS initiative does what many crypto enthusiasts dreamt of, but could never get from the ICO developers.

Q. So, How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?

Speaking of experience, it is important to understand that we are not a new company, in fact this is not our first project either. LH-Crypto originated as a new-generation broker, one of the first ones globally to include the classical instruments as well as crypto currencies in one place, from one account etc. And all of that came through with our own insurance system, like I mentioned, the investors were happy about it.

So, we have not only taken the successful experience that we personally had, but also any issues or shortcoming that we faced – we improved upon those, so now, its even better under the GIIS.
We not only are looking to get the compensation issued to the participants of those ICOs, but also to integrate, promote and further help develop the projects, therefore making the corresponding tokens more usable, available and accepted wider. In fact, there is a whole approach about making an eco-system for the projects so they get a breath of fresh air.

Q. Are you working on any partnerships or marketing initiatives to help build awareness for your platform?

Yes, of course, we are. In fact, it is not possible otherwise to spread awareness of a project like this, I mean the crypto community is generally built on partnerships and strategic cooperation. We have a number of crypto agencies that help us promote the GIIS initiative directly, but also, we strongly rely on the word in the communities – people share, invite others etc.

Of course, we also reach out to some of the projects that we find interesting and promising and many of the owners are happy about it too. Well, it’s a win-win for everyone involved anyway. Also, as part of the awareness aim, we have a Bounty programme< but I guess we'd mention it a little later anyway!

Q. And lastly, What are the future development plans for GIIS?

Well, we are obviously looking to expand more and more, to include more projects, either by communicating with the owners, or by talking directly to the token holders of such projects. But, in short, we are going to include more ICOs under ‘our shield’, to make some more holders satisfied.

Q. What other ways to enjoy and earn GIIS?

Brilliant question!
So, there is actually a path within the token-holder perspective. Those who are willing to get an instant compensation can do so, but also, there is a second approach where we lock the initial tokens and let them prosper for a year. Obviously, if within this timeframe the price hasn't covered and surpasses the value lost - the insurance kicks in. But if the value is greater, then the owner not only gets the full benefit of a safe investment, but also gets to earn on top of that.
So, that's just within the insurance system itself. But also, we have a Bounty programme, just like I promised that we'd touch on it. Basically, anyone, who's, perhaps, not a holder of any of the applicable tokens, can still gain via the programme.

If one is impatient - they have a chance to 'cash out' and move on. But if one is a crypto enthusiast and aims to capitalize on the initial investment - we have it covered too!

Q. What are your expectations about GiisInitiative both future and present? Are you satisfied at present for your project progress and success? What types of motives should be expected from your investors and users?
To be honest, all we are currently looking at is to cover more projects, reach out wider and get more onboard. It is pretty simple, yet takes most of the time and effort, as there is a whole process of onboarding the project, including the technicalities, not to mention negotiations with the token holders and the owners of the projects.
In terms of satisfaction - it is going rather steadily, of course one can wish for it to be quicker, but I guess that’s anyone project’s magical dream! =)
What we were probably not expecting, but rather hoped for, is for the project owners and the holders to be more upfront in terms of reaching out to us - it would greatly help us save some time!)

Q. Could you tell us how to purchase GIIS' token? When will you have pre-sale, private sale  and public sale events? And how to have a slot in these events?
Right, that’s where some of the confusion comes in, I guess. Let’s clarify!
So, under the GIIS, we are not selling some new tokens, we are not running a whole new ICO with the pre-ICO and other related events. It is more of a system, a protocol if you must, that helps the 'less fortunate' projects to continue developing, whilst protecting the token holders from the downfall of token value. That is the partnering projects tokens' value, not 'our own tokens’! Hope it makes sense and clarifies things a little!

Q. It is important to anticipate, calculate and hedge risks whenever possible. do we carefully review projects to avoid scamming ICOs? What characteristics must a project have to be accepted by GIIS?
Sure, it is very important to hedge the possible risks. Especially, for us, as the insurance underwriter, so we do not have financial losses if the project is merely a scam. That’s why we actually created a separate factoring department (just like banks have) to choose, examine and carefully select the projects to work with. We obviously don’t take some 'no-name' ICOs that no one ever heard of, not because they are not so interesting, but because the amount of work required is the same as with the other project, but would help less holders and smaller stakes are at question. So, to sum it up - sure, we do have specialists that make sure the projects in question are real and not some crypto scams.

Q. Your service compensates the market value of various coins that have lost market value. What procedures do I need to take to get a coin reimbursed? Is it simple to have a coin refunded?
So, it’s actually quite simple, subject to the project being accepted in the first place.

So, as the owner of the project can reach us and discuss this partnership, we also allow the holders to get in touch and pretty much vote for it. This is done since many projects actually get abandoned by the creators, so they don’t respond at all. Nevertheless, if the holders of the same token reach out to us on a large scale - we can try to assist them and see what we can do. If that is the case - our main page actually has al l the info for the token holders to apply! It’s followed by a quick questionnaire, but it helps us understand the project in question as well as filter some of the possible scammers too!

Q.How did you come with the GIIS project? Why do you think the crypto field needs you?

Good question! So, like I mentioned, during our own ICO a few years back we calculated that we can roll out insurance in case the price doesn’t appreciate as much as we and the holders want to. And we have seen a major support for this idea.

Eventually, this gave us an idea to extend the model to other projects, not just our own one. In terms of whether the crypto community needs it - we shall see. Since we get quite a lot of attention and incoming enquiries - looks like we certainly are needed by at least some) Moreover, insurance systems exist for decades in the real world...why not have them in crypto then?!

Q. Many people think that your project is fake. What is your opinion about it? And how safe is your project?

Well, funny thing, many people think that crypto currencies are fake altogether. So are the fiat currencies - merely shiny papers with different pictures, not supported or backed up by any assets. But hey, we are all here for a reason, right?)

Also, not quite sure is meant by 'many people’, as you mentioned and 'fake’. If you are referring to us having some other motives - then no. We do not ask for the full transfer of the tokens to us, in fact, in most cases, if one can prove they own it - we do not require a transfer at all. So, I hope it resolves some of the doubts those 'many' people have!

Q.Do you have tutorial videos so we can get to know your project more clearly or do you have a YouTube channel or something? Can you share it with us?

Q. IS your platform suitable for Crypto beginners? Or does it only appeal to professional users?

It is surely suitable for any crypto user. We do not divide by experience, portfolio volume etc. That’s actually one of the reasons we make various guides, video-explanations, and many FAQs to help the 'newbies' of the crypto world to join us in one way or another. We try not to overcomplicate things with technicalities, since the pros would find them anyway, whilst the less experienced users can get scared. In the end, cryptocurrencies are just an alternative field of finance and investment. So, sure, anyone can join!

Q. GIIS takes existing tokens from less successful projects and makes them work better by creating a complete ecosystem for them. But how does GIIS really manage to promote projects or tokens that allegedly did not reach good figures?

To answer this and some other related questions. It’s a rather lengthy process to describe. But in short, many of the 'less fortunate' tokens are simply lacking the liquidity and the usability. We try to integrate them within our system and amongst our partners. GIIS Programme has been around for over a year by now, and we have done quite a lot during this time! Today we are ready to share our plans and tell you about our achievements over the past 4 months.

There were more than ten new projects involved in the programme, and for all of them, tokenholders who filed their applications received compensations. TaTaTu, Larecoin, Sharpay, Spacoin, SKYFChain, Datecoin, CryptoBank, Envion, QLC Chain, Covalent, ELCoin - all of these tokens are very diverse and have completely different goals. But they are united by the fact that after a thorough analysis GIIS saw their great potential and included them into its ecosystem.

Right now, for instance, there are several more tokens awaiting the decision, like DAD .

For some projects, we had to reject the token from joining the GIIS Programme. We saw such tokens as Superbloom, Petro, and Ebitz as not promising.

Apart from working on analysing potential projects to include into GIIS, adjusting instructions for tokenholders on how they could receive their compensations, we also prepared a number of bonus programmes for our clients. All of them were carefully reviewed in an online workshop with our specialists. As a part of the webinar, we even contested precious prizes among the participants.

In October, the GIIS team took part in an important international event - iFX Expo Cyprus. There were the most recent developments and also a presentation of the project to the general audience.

Crypto investing is alive and well in Turkey

Despite a government crackdown and high-profile exchange collapses last year, Turks are flocking to crypto as a hedge against lira distress.

Interest in crypto among Turks, like the rest of the world, has increased over the years. But Turkey’s economic crisis has pushed millions of curious observers to actually sink their savings into Bitcoin, Ethereum and other coins. The new converts aren’t simply drawn to the investment promise of cryptocurrencies, which are prone to wild, volatile price swings. They see virtual currencies as a potential store of value to shield their savings as the lira is roiled by routs that saw the Turkish currency lose more than 40 percent of its value last year alone.

The growing appetite for crypto is the latest manifestation of the Turkish public’s search for reliable investments, said Cem Yilmaz, who founded NakitCoins in 2018 and has now opened three branches in the country.

Visa has launched a training NFT program

The payment giant Visa has launched an educational program for business development using non-interchangeable tokens (NFT). This is written by The Block.

The initiative is designed for a year and is aimed at artists, musicians, fashion designers and cinematographers.

Visa's head of cryptography, Kew Sheffield, said the company hopes to understand the prospects and challenges faced by creators and explore the role that NFTs can play in monetizing their work.

Ultimately, the program will help Visa develop its own commercial NFT products.

Visa has not yet decided how many authors it wants to train under this program. However, Sheffield expects the group to be small to build a community and support technical mentoring.

Tesla, Bitcoin and solar energy

Tesla has teamed up with Jack Dorsey's Block (formerly Square) and Block stream infrastructure company to build a bitcoin mining data center.

A pilot project worth $12 million will be launched in Texas (Block and Block stream have invested $6 million each). A 3.8 MW photovoltaic solar battery and a 12 MWH Megapack energy storage device from Tesla will be installed at the facility. The hashrate will be 30 PH/s.

The construction of the enterprise will be completed at the end of 2022.

Bitcoin exchange Coinbase announced the release of a Visa debit card for residents of the United States with the possibility of receiving cashback in cryptocurrencies up to 4% of each purchase.

There are no fees for Coinbase Card transactions. There is no service fee, no credit check and no registration requirements.
