The market opens opportunity for investors and I want to take the opportunity to somehow start my investment.

What should I buy?any advice?
will bitcoin cash increase 50% more from its price today? or I just go to bitcoin cause it's more safe?

Whatever you buy, you'll have to understand if you're going long-term or short-term. If you invest $250 on almost every cryptocurrency with potential and “bright future” right now, you'll see profits long-termly. The short-term way is dangerous, as always.

As for the title's question, I'd put them on Bitcoin. The other one is far more centralized and less secure. Not to mention that I don't agree with the way it works.

Do not invest blindly. Understand each crypto's ability and judge by yourself if you think that it'll be useful in the future.

Neither. If you are asking this then you have no idea what you're doing and you don't know the differences (at least as investment) between the two coins.
Learn more and then you'll know what to do. A 250$ investment is not that time critical.

Neither is really safe, it just .. one is altcoin, hence in theory even more volatile than Bitcoin; also it can be the subject of heavy price manipulation. And the other one is Bitcoin, which, now it goes downside although it's expected to be in the middle of bull run.

Contributions are that bitcoin is the best so far because it is not manipulated by any developer only whales can and fud but altcoins can dump deep at the request of a developer living the project. However, sometimes short term investment have also done good run and profit to hodlers. The list of such coins are endless.

Investment needs proper research to make profit whether on a longtime or short-term.

It's a cliche but do your own research but I don't think that as a newbie you should dabble on other cryptocurrency besides bitcoin, try to do some research on bitcoin and invest in it first, and you also have to take the recommendations in this thread including mine with a grain of salt because we aren't responsible for your finances.

I don't believe in Bitcoin Cash so much but you could give it a try as it's not a very big investment. It was on the rise for some time but was affected really badly from the recent news.

I can't tell anything about Bitcoin Cash because personally I haven't investment any on it.

So I will be biased and I think majority here will tell you to invest on Bitcoin. However, it's really up to you to make the final decision. You should understand everything, specially where are you going to put it, what wallet? or are you going to just sit in on exchanges which is not a good practice. And if you are going to a personal wallet, do you know how to protect it?

Do your research and understand what kind of investment this is. It's not really good way to ask random people what to do with your money. The only thing i'd say both of this optoins are not bad.

I am with NeuroticFish on this. The only thing I would add is that the way you are asking you might wanna go to the casino and try you luck there. The mathematical expectancy is negative over the long-term but if you win you'll make your money faster.

If at some point in the future you consider a long term vision for investment, besides having understood what is the Bitcoin and shitcoin cash, maybe an interesting option is to buy $250 of Bitcoin and not sell them, but keep buying every month what you can $250 or $50 until with what you buy and the return you accumulate a good capital.

Ever since BCH came in to existence in 2017, it's prices have fluctuated between BTC0.006 and BTC0.040. Right now, I have a feeling that the prices are on the higher side (>BTC0.025). I would advice you to wait for sometime, so that the prices come down. A good price for long-term investment would be BTC0.010-BTC0.012. Once you accumulate at these prices, you can set different targets for profit booking, for the next 3 years. BCH is a promising coin, with a number of powerful backers.

only the pumping team responsible for this shitcoin's pump and dumps can answer that and they will never tell others before the pump. otherwise we can't analyze a coin that has no reason to rise up since it is a scam coin.

I think to become a good trader reading doesn't help a lot. What helps is experiencing it first hand and making mistakes because mistakes are painful and teach you not to repeat them. One thing that is good to start with is to not start with to much and that is what you seem to be doing. Reading adds to your knowledge, but experiencing it is different.
Regarding manipulation @Neuroticfish, that is probably the same for both BTC and BCH. ;) Who really knows what's going on between the Bitcoin billionaires?

With only $250 buying BTC or BCH is a waste of time for you as mere fractions of a coin won't do much for you.
Unless you are talking $250 every month, then either works.

If you only have it for a single investment, then Cardano is your best shot.
Your $250 would get you , 114 coins.
Wait ~10 years and Cardano could be worth ~$1000 each and you made ~$114,000 bucks.
Which it is already Proof of Stake , and anyone paying attention can see Elon is leading the world in the energy efficient direction..... ;)

I will suggest that you study the markets way more before taking any kind of decisions, it would be the easiest thing on the world to recommend bitcoin over any altcoin, since there is no way to know if bitcoin cash is going to keep existing over the long term but at the end of the day the decision is yours, however you need to understand that you are investing in a moment in the market in which the price is already too high and the profits could not be as good as you think.

Choose bitcoin but do it when you've understand already how volatile it is just like the other cryptocurrencies.

You don't need to think of it and choose the other option that you've brought up. If you invest that amount in bitcoin, what's your plan next? you're going to hold it just like majority of the people here? or you're going to think of another coin to invest with another capital that might come to you?

If you're thinking about a certain percentage of profit from any of the two, there's no person that can promise you that.

If you are looking for a solid investment, go with Bitcoins but do realize that people with power , the big whales are trying to Manipulate the price and make the BTC fall down. Take example of musk and square they are now suddenly all about environment, when they do not realizing that soon after we will be done with all the BTC and then only power consumption would be of transaction confirmation, plus people are already looking for greener alternatives. So the price might go down but at the end it's more or so a long term investments.
For short while go for DOGE , Elon Musk is manipulating it's price also therefore the market is strong there right now but do not trust the man , take out when you make enough profit. Like you can literally buy at 0.30 and sell at 0.50 even then if you had a lot to invest you can get good profit. But I don't think it's worth considering for long term. Then we also have ETH. It's really good opportunity too. But BTC Gold....why ? Just why ?

No one would ever know on how these 2 coins would increase out its price even though im really against or not really like BCH but when it comes to liquidity or volume this coin still has it.

If you do look for BCH can potentially move that way then its your choice.Try to look at on some projects in the market which is more worth compared to BCH.

If you do decide to hold then stick to top coins but if you do decide on actively trade then stick to those high volumes.

Then, for trading one has to learn and understand TA, one has to learn to "read" the news and rumors, one has to learn how to use safety nets and even then it may not be enough. The difference between Bitcoin is BCash is the for manipulating Bitcoin you may need billions, while for BCash much smaller amounts will do and Roger has the amounts and skills to do that with BCash as he pleases. Just my 2 satoshi...

Like you said this is the right time to invest and it also the time to choose your investment wisely but judging by Bitcoin cash trend altcoin like Ethereun, BNB, DOT, YFI are still preferable to invest in than invest in BCH. However, the ever safe investment in cryptocurrency is Bitcoin while Bitcoin Cash Is just one of the shitcoin will have in the market.

You must buy BTC instead of fork coin like BCH but BCH can be used as a way to diversify your portfolio. none knows when the price of BCH will increase but you should remember that if BCH looks bearish caused by bitcoin.
It's better to divide your money to be used to invest in both the coins. BTC can be used as a safe investment for your money and you can put less to the BCH to get more opportunity to gain more profit from the market.

If you invest for the long term think more about bitcoin. Bitcoin Cash is also just an altcoin and it will pump as the teams pump in. Usually, Bitcoin will go up first and then altcoins.
I recommend investing in other altcoins with more diverse applications like DEFI, NFT, smart contracts... rather than just Bitcoin Cash with payment functionality.

I think you need to ask yourself the question do you think bitcoin cash is relevent (I do t think so).  Its an easy answer to where you will put your money after you answer that question for yourself.

You have to understand which one is better because in cryptocurrency nothing is safe, everything is at risk even if you invest in bitcoins that you think are safe.
Not both of them are the same, right now the market is falling I don't know if this is bearish or correction because no one can determine where to go except the right timing but if you are currently investing $250 please hold on for a while until the price recovers and Usually, beginners will cut losses regardless of the current price because there is always panic when the market is red.

Believe in yourself, his true investment is the heart of your heart. The rest you can find a good analysis in reading the movements.

Just go for BCH (Bitcoin Cash) for now bro, that's my advice for sure.

Why not put the 150$ in bitcoin and the 100$ in Bitcoin Cash?

I don't think bitcoin or bitcoin cash is good idea if you just want to spend $250.

Maybe you can invest in another good coins with small marketcap, it will be more profitable if you can find the right one.

But if you don't dare to take a risk, BTC is the best option.

Bitcoin's price are really really low right now, so i think honestly BTC will bounce back and getting back to $60k again in the near future.

The first cryptocurrency is bitcoin, bitcoincash is a fork of bitcoin so, you should always secure bitcoin bag! Bitcoin cash is making a lots of claim about fee, speed and security. But as we have seen, Bitcoin is more secure cryptographically! I think bitcoin cash is cunning and this lack of confidencein bitcoin cash by the community and the market shows in it's market price!

Even if we know that bitcoin cash can give profits it is better to stay out of the coin, just look at the crash we are going through and you can clearly see bitcoin cash is losing way more money than bitcoin and this is probably going to keep being true as long as this crash continues as bitcoin is a coin that is way more solid and we all know it is the original coin and will keep on existing, which is not something we can say about bitcoin cash.

In my opinion, both are very safe, but I will rather put that money in bitcoin than put it on bitcoin cash, if you notice, there's not really much happening with bitcoin cash this day, and if not that it's been a long time coin, I believe it will be dead by now, aside the low cost of transacting in bitcoin cash, it has no utility I know of, I see nothing that will push the price up except when bitcoin decides to push it up along side other major altcoins.
The days of bitcoin cash are gone, if I have 250$,i will either put it in bitcoin or Ethereum, or any other major altcoin, but when there's alot of money, and a lot of coins to buy, I don't see in issue in throwing some hundreds of dollars on bitcoin cash though, atleast, should bring in some tens of dollars in profit which I believe is not bad at all.

Right now, every cryptos are having big red continuous candles and it is a good time to go shopping to find a suitable investment. Which investment is better, Bitcoin, or Bitcoin cash? To me, bitcoin is a safer choice since it continues to increase this year with many new records created. Bitcoin cash, on the other hand, has a slower momentum and it has not broken its ATH yet. However, the potential of bitcoin cash is big. You can earn double or even triple with bitcoin cash in less than a year.

Those are my choices. DYOR (Do Your Own Research)  before making an investment. It is always the best to do it by yourself

if we look at the chart of the decline in bch prices in the last 2 days, it is still relatively stable and slowly, this minute is the best moment to buy bch. the price of bch is likely to return to growth in future days.

I do not really see the reason to support bitcoin cash, it is a cheap copy of the original and for the most part it was a coin created just to make money and to attack bitcoin, personally I have no problems with people investing in whatever they want but bitcoin cash is probably the coin that bothers me the most of all the altcoins in existence as the developers even made the claim back then that their coin was the original when they were obviously the ones forking the code.

however, in current situations i think we need a good confirmations before buying bitcoin or bitcoincash or even other cryptocurrency
and hopefully bitcoin will not down to $25K
