After the recent bleak market. Many people do not even understand the basic principles of Bitcoin and blockchain knowledge, so they attack Bitcoin. What kind of mental state is this?

They don't understand it, and they worry that it might affect them in ways that they don't understand. The uncertainty of it all is uncomfortable.

The only way they know how to defend themselves against this thing that they don't understand is to have someone else get rid of it for them.

The real currency has gold/oil as the foundation. The proof of Bitcoin is the result of pure computing power and has no material meaning. What is built on such a thing has exceeded its value and is a pure bubble.
If you don’t understand what the calculation result is, I can give a popular example. If there is an online game in the world that cannot be recharged, then the result of your game is the result of the calculation. The purpose is to produce substances, and it will not directly cause or promote the results of the production of substances.
The risk is that the score of the game can only be used as currency when people think it can be used as currency. If the game is abandoned by people, then the so-called game score may not even be as good as a piece of toilet paper.

This is the state of ignorance. And this happens all the time, whether the market is in a bull run or during the bearish season. It does not change. The only thing that changes during the bull run shifting into the bear market is that people's attitude changes from bullish to bearish. But they still do not know a thing about Bitcoin except that it gives them money during the better days. In the bad days, they panic sell though.

There are also those who are always attacking Bitcoin in good and bad times.

Trying to understand their thinking, I think it's simply because the concept of Bitcoin and it's decentralization is just so new and "bizarre" that it's difficult for some people to grasp. It's something that took a good amount of time to actually click in my head as well.

Also taking note that having something totally digital would sound BS to a boomer; pretty much the same people who say "buying videogame items is useless because you can't actually hold it", whereas a younger person who play videogames with economies(e.g. RuneScape, CSGO, etc) would grasp it a lot easier.

Which also tells me that these people are close minded because they don't even try to at the least understand it but they conclude on judging it, they could also be a bitter asshole that doesn't want the new generation to have fun or experience something new.

Yep. There are people who don't spend a bit of effort to try and understand it, there are people who fail to understand or totally misunderstand it, and people who are just bitter because they "missed out". It's just typical human psychology, which pretty much exists in a lot of things not only with Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and investments in generael.

You have to realize that good quality and objective journalism is basically non existent in this day and age. They would do anything to sensationalize them, even if it means that they're providing baseless and inaccurate information.

People are more than willing to consume them and support the rhethoric. When someone like Elon Musk says that Bitcoin isn't environmentally friendly, people tend to just listen to him and not do any research.

That, and people just loves to spread FUD and fake news. It's quite common.

I hope that that kind of mentality is going to go away in the next generation because I feel like being a close minded person is one of the many things that is holding back our society from progressing for the better.

We take the positive easily yet we do not take the negative as easily. We have to learn to live with both in the end because they actually exist in equal measure, just we only hear the bad shit when it's a down market like now.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that many people attack bitcoin because they didn't buy at the time, are still not buying, and deep down they want bitcoin to go to shit to see that their decision was the right one. Conversely, if bitcoin keeps going up, deep down they know how dumb they were for letting such an opportunity slip away.

There are other variants of this, such as those who bought high and sold at the drop in price for FUD.

Just because Bitcoin has been the most profitable asset of the last 10 years doesn't mean that there aren't people who have lost a lot of money investing in it. And many of those people attack it at the slightest drop in price.

Don't get your hopes up. Ignorance has existed since the dawn of humanity, and will continue to exist until the demise of humanity. It's almost as impossible as hoping that bad people to hopefully cease to exist; they will always exist.

That makes Bitcoin really more amazing. On one hand, we have a growing number of people who are convinced of the many contributions that Bitcoin so far made towards the way people are using money, banking and finance...on the other hand are people who failed to get the importance of Bitcoin, and yet they still manifested hate towards it. As long as Bitcoin is existing and will continue to be growing, there will always be critics and they are getting the light of the day especially if Bitcoin is having a downturn. One thing we have to remember is that something can be attacked all because it is already significant and is a game-changer, otherwise critics will be ignoring.

I believe that when Bitcoin rises, many people are unwilling to be jealous; when Bitcoin falls, many people take the mercy of gloating and rejoice, feeling that only fools can vote. Bitcoin and blockchain are not easy to understand, and most of the cognitive scope lacks such things.

2. People who understand economics do not necessarily understand Bitcoin.
There is no right or wrong in conceptual things, at least not so many right and wrong. Some people can't understand this.

they are eager to grasp short-term profit and they couldn't take the risk followed. in their mind, providing that Bitcoin is not a fraud, once they invest in it, then money will flow in. Or Bitcoin should be slandered...really childish! you invest and then you bear the peril in it. that's how it works. they don't believe in Bitcoin and they don't deserve the wealth Bitcoin brings. All in all, they fall short in terms of knowledge about blockchain and Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

I think they're people who want a get-rich-quick scheme and do not have any risk management when it comes to investment so just ignore them and stay focus on your goal. You won't learn anything from them and will just drag you down.

I have a friend who never has touched bitcoin or crypto. He doesn't understand or trust it.
He's cheering the decline - as it proves his bias. But he'll be annoyed when it rises again.
Emotions. Personal Bias. Deep seated beliefs.

I am just being optimistic, of course hoping isn't a bad thing. But to counter your argument that ignorance is here to stay, it will only stay if we don't do a thing about it, if we ourselves become parents, we can always pass down our open mindedness and positive trait to our kids in the future and if enough parents per generation do that, we might be able to eliminate ignorance.

Why would they even bother understanding it, if they don't give a sht, then they won't easy as that. I'm pretty sure you won't look up pretty much anything if you aren't given a damn good reason, and that reason itself is subjective so it's no use trying to understand why they can't understand it. It's like telling an art student that a math theory exists, and the art student is like "so?" kind of feeling. Of course, that isn't the case for some people, but hey, those cases are rather rare imo even.

Maybe it's because they think that Bitcoin is only related to getting rich overnight or cutting leek, but they don't realize that the related blockchain technology revolution is coming.

I don’t know much about Bitcoin. But as far as I know, its currency cannot grow at all, and there is no way to "print and distribute" Bitcoin to cut leeks.

Why do some people oppose Bitcoin and support the blockchain? I think Bitcoin is the foundation of blockchain.

In my opinion, the blockchain has two application targets, enterprise-level and public. When the technology developed is facing enterprises, it is natural that some enterprises do not need tokens to pay. If users are replaced by the general public, then the reward mechanism of using tokens is necessary. If facing the public also use regular fees, then centralized operators can also use bribery to change most of the nodes, which is the so-called 51% computing power attack, which affects the credibility of this system.

In most cases, people start their introduction to bitcoin with misinformation or are introduced by people who oppose bitcoin. And unfortunately they tend to close themselves to the accurate information about bitcoin that they will get afterwards. So, any negatives that happen to bitcoin in the future such as crashes will be exaggerated which further confirms the negative view.

I think, bitcoin and blockchain are still new and it is difficult to convince these kinds of people that they really feel the benefits of blockchain technology by themselves.

Why do so many morons defend bitcoin?

I see lots of people knowledgeable about BTC criticizing it, yet I only see morons defending btc.

1. People who understand technology do not necessarily understand Bitcoin.
2. People who understand the economy do not necessarily understand Bitcoin.
There is no right or wrong in conceptual things, at least not so many right and wrong. Some people can't understand this.

Most of the people who do such things are people who have lost money because of Bitcoin, or people who have lost money because of some other digital currencies. On the one hand, they lack knowledge of Bitcoin and have no basic self-judgment on investment. As soon as these people see that someone is making money because of a certain number or someone else, they will buy coins and lose money as a result. In the end they will blame Bitcoin for all this and then slander Bitcoin.

It is simply a combination between arrogance and ignorance and nothing else...

Let's say you know something about a topic and someone else does not know about it, then they will be jealous and they will go into a defensive state, where they hide their insecurities and simply dismiss your interest or even attack it. The need to be right or to be superior in knowledge, override their thinking to explore new ideas.

It is easier to dismiss the "unknown", than to take the effort to research or explore it.... because people will always try to take the easy route.

Also, people are bombarded with scams and cons on a daily basis and the norm is, if it is too good to be true.. it simply is a scam. (I have seen experiments where cash was put on a table and a poster saying "Free Cash" was placed beside it... and 90% of people walked past it, because they did not trust that something can be FREE with no strings attached.  ::)

Now tell someone that you made 800% profit on your Crypto currency investment and the immediate response will be that it was illegal or that it was some kind of scam.  :(

Well, you said it yourself, they don't understand Bitcoin. You can not speak intelligently on something you don't understand and the only way to react if you want to react to the topic is to speak against it. So it is no surprise that things like this will happen with such people.

People disparage what other people make money for, that is, things that they themselves cannot make money for. We can call it a kind of jealousy. This is why a large segment is making bitcoin bad. Another segment of people are denigrating them because they do not trust bitcoin.

That's easy, think of it like an empty can, if you drop it, it will create more noise, it's like this people that think that they know a lot because they talk a lot when in reality, they are not knowledgeable, they are instead an ignorant that isn't open to new ideas.

Because it’s easier to say negative things in order to be on the safe side of things than to praise it without having enough knowledge to back up your claims. Even today, bitcoin is still viewed on a negative light, with the media still peddling the narrative that it’s the bad guys’ money of choice. As a laymen who know nothing about bitcoin, would you even try to say positive things on something that has been heavily advertised as bad? That’s kinda attracting drama and a lot of haters IMO.

This proves out that these fellas are only engaging into this market for the sake of money and doesnt intend to know on what it is all about and not even knowing with the basics and they just think off on how to make money
and once the market had gone through the opposite side of things then criticisms would really be coming next in line. They would only learn up things when they get wrekt for those people who are really serious with Bitcoin
engagement on where they do seek even more possible information that they can get but also there are still people who turned their back once they had experience unfortunate things like losing money

I think the reason is simple: it is ignorance and total misunderstanding of the basic principles of the blockchain. When mankind in the bulk has dealt with this, more has already been done. Everyone who criticizes does it for their own reasons, most simply do not understand what they are talking about. In general, there is a well-known principle "Do you criticize? - Offer!" If, after criticism, there is no alternative that would be more attractive, then such people are simply ridiculous.

I think that is very normal psychology of investors. If Bitcoin goes up and they make money, they will be happy and comfortable, but if Bitcoin goes down, they will panic and sell. Anyone who invests money without wanting to earn a profit. When the market fluctuates, if you firmly hold Bitcoin in your hand and luckily pass it, then the market goes up and you get rich again. But if the market is falling and shows no signs of recovery, sell early to avoid heavy losses.

Competition.

They don't like it and aside from not knowing it, the only thing they know is that it's going to be a threat to their business or whatever they're working it. And instead of embracing it, they don't have choice even they don't understand it, they're attacking it.

That's the closest reasons of what I can think of why they do that.

The normal psychology of investors is that when the situation is in their favor, they will say good things about Bitcoin. But when the market
goes down, it makes investors lose money. So some investors started talking negatively about Bitcoin. That's a natural thing that often happens in
the investment world, therefore the importance of experience and knowledge to be able to continue to trust Bitcoin. Because I believe investors
who have knowledge and experience are less likely to say negative things about Bitcoin.

For me, it's mostly because of lack of self-knowledge and ignorance. You would not want to destroy bitcoin if you only know how it works and the high volatility it has. And i understand that most of them who are attacking bitcoin are newbies. If they can't cope up with the fast changing crypto market, then crypto is not meant for them.

I used to rant about bitcoin before and how i made losses from it but when the time comes that i have fully understood about bitcoin, it suddenly changes my own perspective. Now, even if i see dumps in crypto, i just sit and relax while enjoying the ride. After all, this bearish season also gives us the opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin.

That's how they are in real life and what do you expect for them when they see something trending on the internet? of course, they gonna join the discussion without even knowing the roots and cause of it. it's like an automatic conversation where they haven't enough basic knowledge but when they discussed with people, you think that they've been here since the early stage of Bitcoin. I bet most of these guys don't even know who the founder is. The market situation got even worse whenever these guys open their mouths and worsening the current market situation with their own speculations.

the scams linked to bitcoin probably made them decide to get disinterested and hate BTC. somehow some internet users disnt realized they can buy a fraction of BTC. but since they see the price is so high, they just shake heads and presumes its a scam.

Understanding the C++ of BTC, doesn't help you understand the human psychology of greed&fear. Blockchain, in CS called linked-list is like 1950's tech.

There is an old Chinese saying that you can’t eat grapes and say grapes are sour. There is no need to bother about their dissemination of FUD, we just need to be ourselves in the fall. For people who have not participated or have not experienced cryptocurrency, they will feel jealous when they see others making money. I would agree with you, but it is a combination of jealousy and ignorance. There are ultra-rich people like Warren Buffet who are jealous at Bitcoin users. And on the other hand, there are less tech savvy users who are against Bitcoin, simply because they don't have enough information about it. It is basic human nature to be afraid of things that we don't know. But this should go away, as the awareness about cryptocurrencies increase among the general population. But at the same time, the jealously of the ultra-rich is not going to go away.

Understanding the core and technical concept of Bitcoin is not an easy task for newbies who have just heard about Bitcoin.They can't figure out how does money supply flows in the network and how transaction are settled on decentralised manner.They have just invested in bitcoin due to hype and profits but when market crash they don't know what will happen next and start playing panic blame game on Bitcoin under the ignorance and less or zero knowledge of Bitcoin.The more people understand Bitcoin the more they favour it unless you are not share market influencer or banker who dislike Bitcoin concept.So they try to release their loss frustration with such post nothing else.

Simply because they don't know how the market works. They are attacking bitcoin and blaming bitcoin just because on what happened on the market in which the market break. People are having the frustrations on what would be the possible chances of the sudden market break. Many people are looking over the shoulder to any people who succeed somehow, lets say luck and than started to invest(BAD and in the innappropiate time) small amounts and the only ones in Bitcoin and of course they loose it, because of what you said, they dont understand the basic principles, they are heading in the wrong direction inspired by.....i cant find the perfect word for this.

Because they think that bitcoin is the biggest threat to the financial system in each country, it will harm their economy. Another fact that they don't understand is bitcoin will I guess may use in illegal activities such as fraud or any scams that bitcoin may use as a currency. Plus, they don't implement a tax on bitcoin holders which is most governments do always asking tax.

There are too many reasons why people don't understand it even most governments because they only think about how they will benefit on bitcoin but they did think how the true usage of it.

To be honest, I felt funny and sad with some people this past few weeks because they were so worried about BTC and immediately sold their assets, even the worst of them prostituted until there was news that someone committed suicide because the BTC price dropped.
this is actually how they are, are they new people or are they just buying because they see other people? I don't understand why there are people who still haven't learned something but have already made a transaction, as in this btc most people who panic are fomo and new people who buy in rising prices, when prices are now down they start to panic and sell their assets as well gives a less good statement about btc.
bitcoin is not an instant way to make friends, it all takes a process. it is not possible for one day/ two days you can harvest what you plant.
try to try to be patient, learn first before doing something and do not be too greedy because here are a lot of risks. if you can't afford the risk never try

I think this can be divided into several categories. For example, older people who do not want to accept new technologies and are more accustomed to criticizing everything that is beyond their understanding, for such people it does not matter what criticizes Tik-tok or Bitcoin. There are still people who could but missed their chance at the beginning of the formation of the market and the entire movement associated with cryptocurrencies, and they speak of anger and envy in relation to those who "had time". There is also just a lot of people who are easier to dismiss as the topic requires study, a change of thinking, diligence and patience, while who wants to get everything at once. So it was and will be so, no wonder.

Everyone is reluctant to accept a new one instead of a conventional one. When you try to establish something out of the ordinary, hundreds of obstacles will come in front of you, it is very normal. Non-bitcoiners have always been against Bitcoin, but they have not been able to reduce the demand/usages for Bitcoin.
The promoters of the conventional banking system have always been against Bitcoin from the beginning but at one stage they too have been forced to accept Bitcoin. I think one day, Bitcoin will be considered as a worldwide accepted payment medium.

We have nothing to do with their lives but to educate them but I don't know if they wanted to listen to us. Because what they are thinking is absolutely wrong, they don't understand about crypto and so much more than they don't understand what they are doing. A lot of people just come to the market during the bull season and these people will just think about profit but when the market drops and lose their money, they will get so mad and blame the market.
I'm not sure if their minds are empty and they don't understand the nature of the crypto market but it is more likely they don't accept losses.

Just like the old days. People do tend to put the blame easily into Bitcoin because they do not basically understand or do not tend to even understand it first. They just keep on putting it into blame not knowing that such things are not primarily because of Bitcoin alone. People are lacking of understanding as well as knowledge about it making them easy to judge Bitcoin based on what they subjectively think is right on their perception.

You said it in the title OP, they don't know better so they slander bitcoin, ignorance leads to hate, always remember that and the only way to cure their ignorance is for us who understands it is to give them the necessary information and let them experience the market.

You already mentioned on the title mate, they dont understand bitcoin so they can easily say anything against the coin but behind this the truth is they are just desperate to earn and hold but the problem is they have no resources to do it now so the only desperate move they can do is try to put the bitcoin down.

All of that can happen because 'disappointment' is the main factor that haunts every Bitcoin buyer this year, experiences often occur for example in 2017, and so on, they don't think about the effect of all that, the assumption that Bitcoin can break through $ 100k or $ 150k is just the opposite.

I think the answer to this question is very simple. People simply cannot understand or find it harder to understand and accept things that they cannot touch, see or do on their own - and because they do not understand them, they are afraid of them.

And when you are afraid of something, the most normal reaction of a human being is to start talking badly about that thing and thus make other people agree with him - this gives him confidence that he is not alone.

The same was in the beginning with electricity, the telephone, the Internet and so on.

It's society, they have the right to talk about what's going on around them. Concluding an issue that they are not sure they understand is still common not only about Bitcoin. It is our responsibility as Bitcoin-savvy people to make them understand Bitcoin. If the conversation doesn't go anywhere leave it because we know that there are always stupid and stubborn people around us.

recent bleak ? is this the same to the recent dip ? but when this happens , people dont blame bitcoin but they blame the people behind the bleak or the dip .
the last bleak in the market is caused by elon and people blame elon .
the basics of how btc works is simple to not understand by average person  but for blockchain ? it could be a little more harder . it can influence the price but the manipulation of the price is done by big people .

The crypto community is growing, in my environment there are very few people who don't believe in crypto and more than 95% are already trading. So if there are haters about btc in your neighborhood then ignore them, the more hated, the more he knows about btc, it's just that he hasn't been inspired to join the crypto community.

one of the reasons DOGE blasted off so well was Robin Hood accounts. I don't use it but a lot of people do as it worked its way from the stock market to crypto. From what I was told of the seven options you could buy, DOGE was one. Every person I know that traded stock the last 25 years has a crypto account now. In 2017 it was only 1 out of 40. I was the only one posting about BTC in a private discord trading room of 300 + when it was under $500.. another guy from Cali chimed in with me when it broke $600.. they finally made its own thread in the room when it broke $700 lol

Knowing that, the conditions of the market is not permanent and as such, bitcoin would always rise again. Its an undeniable fact.

So, let them slander all they can and get the comfort that comes with it but in the end, those that keeps faith would always benefit the most.

If they can't grasp the idea presented using videos and articles, then I think it is partly their fault because most sources and information are now available online. There is even a platform like this forum to provide additional knowledge for the newbies and those people who are looking up to something to learn new things about cryptocurrency.

Ignorance is dangerous. We must always feed our thoughts new information of something we want to enter, experience, and be expert on. If we will just rely on gossips and baseless information, then we should not expect great outcome. I just always find it funny that most people who try to damage bitcoin's reputation are usually the ones that aren't knowledgeable and aware about it. I kind of think that these people are just seeking attention and just don't want other people to fluorish as well.

And it happens not only with Bitcoin or crypto currencies, such kind of people always find some object without any analysis and attack it until they are satisfied. So it is just an ordinary story.

That's it. If you don't understand a thing, you either hate it or ignore it but they choose to hate it because they see people happy holding it and making money from it.

The fud and slander of Bitcoin probably contribute make people hesitant to understand Bitcoin. When they heard about it being a scam on the news, instantly they will just not want to get involve with Bitcoin.

The more it becomes difficult for them to understand if they are not very techie on the internet, there are even investors of Bitcoin that didn't understand blockchain which they see it not neccesary.

It is actually because of their ignorance that they attack bitcoin. They have always been against bitcoinand they look out for every opportunity to slander or paint bitcoin in bad light.

If you'd ask me, I'd say leave them to it. What they don't really understand is the fact that whether good or bad, publicity is publicity. They are only helping to propagate the news of bitcoin even though they think they are doing the opposite.

Jealousy is the main reason, and this is the case especially with the rich people. I have talked to a lot of rich people and I understand their mentality. They always want the poor to remain as such. Also, they don't want the poor people to improve their lives by getting better skills and education. Instead the rich class want the poor to remain dependant on freebies and handouts, so that they can manipulate them. Once they are dependent on handouts, the poor individuals cease to have their own opinion and they develop an almost slave like mentality towards those who provide them the freebies.

Now Bitcoin is something that can disrupt this status quo. It can free a lot of people from this indirect slavery. And that explains the hatred that may rich people have towards Bitcoin and the other decentralized cryptocurrencies.

That's what they think of it because they've been in the finance industry for so long and they see a disruptive technology that steps on the traditional way that they've been doing all of these years. They won't thrive if they won't take action to adopt bitcoin but they chose to slander bitcoin regardless of how it's helpful to many investors and people who are getting paid with bitcoin.

Well this thing usually happened when a person really don't have any idea about bitcoin I mean they only rely their opinion based on the story of other people let say they have just heard about what is bitcoin but they don't know or experienced dealing with bitcoin personally. This is just one of the example of ignorance of people. In my case whenever I have a conversation with a person and tried to make him understand what it is and just choose to slander bitcoin I've stopped the conversation and just walked away, don't need to waste my time and effort to explained to those kind of person.

it's because some people don't know about BTC and they deliberately alienate BTC causing BTC price to drop, also it is possible that one of them is a shark who wants BTC price to go down so that they can collect a large amount of cheap BTC price. these tricks have been so many times i have seen so many times and finally BTC price went up against such slanderous news.

In my opinion, everything has its good and bad sides, for example, there are people who support BTC, there will also be people who hate BTC, because of the following factors:

Well as you said, they don't understand it. Bitcoin is really complicated, especially to beginners. SO if they encounter something bad on bitcoin they will slander it. In Bitcoin, you need to be open-minded about everything. Its decentralization, volatility and etc.
And people who probably slander bitcoin, not only because of ignorance but because of their past experience. Maybe they experience being scammed, hacked, and loss something. And with that, they already close their mind to anything about bitcoin and stop themselves to understand more

They're the ones who are not knowledgeable about the technology of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. One must first know the ins and outs to fully understand said technology. A lot of people have been criticizing bitcoin in a negative way. I think they don't really know bitcoin after all or they just hate the fact that some people keep on investing in bitcoin even if its a risky decision and yet, no assurance to be profitable at the end of the day.

This is more of people's ignorance and are close minded people who refuse to know the truth. Once they set their mindset hating about bitcoin, i think they will really stand for it to the extent of slandering bitcoin.  But in the end, what they did are still useless because bitcoin seems to grow even more despite of people's negative criticism.

Actually I prefer to say it's not a criticism, but an expression of disappointment over the losses that befell them due to falling price. Buying without analysis seem to be the main reason why they seem to be in a trance when the price drops and also they don't really understand that volatility is always present in crypto trading in general.
