Very usual question from time to time but it has been proven for years since bitcoin has existed that until now there's no altcoin surpassed it.

There are other blockchains that are more energy efficient correct? Do they have the same level of secure as Bitcoin. Is it that people are sort of stuck with bitcoin cause it was the first. So they sort of have to go along with the collateral no matter the cost?

nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency, because anything can happen, but for now in my opinion it is very difficult to happen, because the dominance of Bitcoin is still very high and it proves that there are still many investors who believe to investing in Bitcoin, but maybe in the future there is a very good altcoin project and make investors more confident to invest in these altcoin, so of course these altcoin can beat or replace Bitcoin (although this may be difficult to happen and takes a long time), because no one can predict the state of cryptocurrency in the future (maybe Bitcoin will remain the king of cryptocurrency or maybe there is an altcoin that will replace or beat Bitcoin).

Maybe you mean perfect cryptocurrency like bitcoin? I don't think you cna find one. Each of these cryptos don't have a perfect gauge and still bound with some disadvantages. Well thats depend on the outlook and perspective of users. For some, ethereum is good but for others it's not. Same like bitcoin, no one can please everybody and make them agree that this coin//token is the perfect one. We have our own likes and dislikes. So finding the perfect one would be next to impossible.

For example, I believe that bitcoin is the perfect coin. Others may argue. It will be non stop debate.

To be honest, in the current situation. I don't think so that there will be a new altcoin that will flip Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is already proven and tested since day 1.

Ofcourse yes, people are competing really hard to develop newer and better blockchain technology. Yes. No matter the cost. I don't think Elon must thing will even make some miners change their mind about it. The power plants will not stop their industry all because of this, it will continue to provide energy and people will still mine coins with it.  Nothing will change, it's all just going to be on the media. There may be coins that will be widely used by some countries but they will still find BTC more appealing. No altcoins will beat BTC.

That's the problem, there is none yet. People are not stuck with bitcoin, it had always been their choice and if they are against it, they can always buy what they prefer.
No one is forcing anyone to buy it initially before they could say they are a cryptocurrency supporter or purchaser.

About the first question.
I have never closed the idea of having a new coin that will surpass Bitcoin. There will always be a genius that will be born and create one just like how Satoshi did it.
But the purposes should be humanitarian and not for greed and selfish popularity.

It seems that so far you are still in doubt about BTC following the corrections that occurred this month. Everyone wants to own BTC for various reasons and desires, one thing to remember needs study and analysis first. In my opinion, BTC is still the top. I pay attention and read the developments so far. and if you want to invest in either BTC or other coins / tokens for now it is highly recommended because the price is still low but requires accuracy and analysis in making investments.

Bitcoin is the first ever crypto currencies and there were thousands of cryptos with the same technology created for no reasons so they never existed here for very long period but certainly it is possible if a coin was better than bitcoin. But it is really possible to make such coin now?

Bitcoin will continue to be bitcoin and alternative coins will always be called altcoins, look at top 10 altcoins you are easily see that few altcoins have what it takes to be better option than bitcoin but still bitcoin is more trusted and reliable

Well, sometimes even study and analysis is not enough, and can even get you in the wrong spot to make good decisions, depending a lot on the sources of information you find. Unfortunately Google doesn't always help in that regard, which explains why so many people end up doing shit things on shit websites.

Whatever it is, Bitcoin first, and not everything in it. And consider everything you put in as gone. Then you're good.

Actually in 2017 the marketcap of Ethereum very close to BTC. If the bull season continue and ETH possible become better smart contract platform by release Ethereum 2.0 , and the problem of expensive transaction fee and network congestion solved, then in this bull cycle ETH has a great chance to beat BTC. The marketcap of ETH currently about 1/2 than BTC, so only ETH have bigger possibility to beat BTC.

I would be honest with you here. This is something I think that is important piece of information that all of us should have. We have to accept that there are things that were or might have been put here on this planet, so that it will benefit us and save our species in the long run. I mean with this there will be no mad men that will have the power to control the whole of the human race. For if they have this power then there is no point - for me - of living in my own rules. That is the power to know the future. So I am not sure if there would be a Perfect version of Bitcoin that will be invented, we don't know if the Bitcoin clone is even perfect. We do not know the future and that is what have driven man to innovate and be more advanced than before.

True, BTC is hard to beat by others even though every possibility could happen in the crypto space, but in general it is difficult for any Altcoin or new cryptocurrency to manifest, because if BTC will lose, it will happen in the future ago, but unfortunately it did not happen until now.

If what you mean is price, of course, altcoins that can surpass BTC have happened. YFI can be given as an example. But it is very difficult to leave BTC behind in terms of market value. I don't think this can happen.

yes, that's not gonna happen. even when BTC is frozen and forces every owner to hold their bitcoins I am sure that will not happen.

There's a lot of good project already actually goes beyond Bitcoin in terms of services, price and the usage in the market but they can't still beat Bitcoin simply because people believe that Bitcoin should remain on top as respect to him because he started this wonderful network and without Bitcoin, we are nothing today. Even if altcoins try their best to replace Bitcoin on top, I'm confident that it wont happen as easy as we think.

I definitely agree with that sentiment, there is a good amount of projects that are 100x better than bitcoin when you look at the blockchain technology, it is really something special and it is really not something people realize too often, that is something we should be aware of a lot more.

Simply look at ethereum, can anyone tell me bitcoins technology is better than ethereum's technology? Obviously not but ethereum is at the second place instead of first, there are also a ton under that level but we do not even have to go down more, sure there must be a ton of projects with better technology in top 10, top 20 , top 50, even outside of top 100, technology is ever growing. However we should also realize that technology is not the reason why we are preferring bitcoin over others, it is because we trust bitcoin more than others and that is the number one reason, it is also the first one so it got more attention obviously.

We don't know if there would be a much better crypto than Bitcoin in the future so we couldn't answer it like we are sure about it.
There are so many crypto currency that is being created so we couldn't be sure if there would be one that would surpass it.

There are plenty of them that are better than bitcoin, but a lot of them are separated by how the make changes to the project, for bitcoin a consensus has to be reached before anything is done to the blockchain, for others its just a couple of devs and whatever they agree upon is what goes which makes bitcoin superior in this instance, not forgetting the large community which btc enjoys compared to the rest.

Ultimately think of bitcoin as the Genesis of crypto we can't just do away without it :P

The flip is always possible to happen and that's almost happened to Bitcoin and Ethreum when Ethreum almost surpasses the market price of bitcoin, but it just doesn't happen.

But the market cap of bitcoin is just too high for some altcoins and probably it's only a small percentage of the bitcoin market cap but Ethreuum is kinda close to bitcoin and I think it probably might surpass it at some point, I mean it's not impossible at all and the market is just unpredictable at all times since the cryptocurrency market is soo volatile compared to the stock market.

Comparing the technology I guess we could say that both have their different use so, in my opinion, both could co-exist, but Ethreum is really has a better technology because of its Network kinda similar to the Internet.

When the quantum computer comes, it will be kind of challenge to many cryptocurrencies, is the encryptions strong enough to stands agains it.

It has been eleven years since Bitcoin existed as a crypto currency, but no other coin has been able to beat its integrity. Many are planning to come up with something better than Bitcoin, but this is not able to be done by anyone.

So let exclude bitcoin which totally counts on 10,123 . Then these all of coins are totally trying to beat up bitcoin or trying to be on the peak

Right. But about the security level for bitcoin, they cannot contain it because they're more vulnerable because they've got only few validators and only few people to help its network. That's why bitcoin's network is one of the most secure and cannot be altered.

Obviously he wasn't talking about price! Altcoins moving past BTC is so easy to do. Create a low market cap, trade it to a million times, burn whatever supply and hold your small and only circulating bags forever.

I saw this statement quite long ago . why people want some coin greater than bitcoin ? why not both success a long ? all altcoin price are will always depend on bitcoin market. some coin might be will be had same record as bitcoin but i dont think that will overcome or surpass bitcoin.

Its because Bitcoin not perfect yet to be used as daily transactions as the Satoshi purpose, so do i search another alternative like EOS, TRX, or XLM which is better to do that.
