Title: Ethereum Gas Fees Drop
Post by: adriaparcerisas on May 31, 2021, 02:35:02 PM
Hello guys! I share you these good news. Ethereum Gas Fees drop dramatically today to reach top-year low. The Gas Fees prices has drop 50% in the last 2 days. The graphic below shows the evolution of ETH gas prices during the last year.

If you have pending transactions, do it now and enjoy these low prices. Here (https://etherscan.io/gastracker (https://etherscan.io/gastracker)) the link to track it and below a screenshot to see current prices.

It is because many of its holder chose not to transfer eth because of high fees? well if it is true that's good news, I will now transfer my small balance from MEW to binance lol!

Does not matter. The transaction costs when using decentralized exchanges remain quite high. And this is despite the sharp decline in prices. However, this is no longer a bad thing ... Because personally, I'm tired of paying $ 100 for 1 transaction ...   Today I took the tokens from the forkdelt. 38 $

Most likely, the transaction fees on the ethereum network dropped to several dozen GWai due to the general drop in prices in the cryptocurrency market. The price of erc-20 tokens fell very much, it became unprofitable to sell them and the load on the network dropped sharply. In addition, reducing the price of ethereum by almost half also contributes to lower transaction fees. Although this is not a solution to the problem as a whole, however, even such an improvement in the situation so far relieves tension in this network. Hopefully in July, following the London hard fork, low transaction fees will be the norm.

maybe it's time to bring back the long-rising GAS costs. and Erc20 network coin or token holders are already looking forward to reducing Ethereum fees. Well, even though the GAS fee waiver was affected by this week's big correction. with the risk that the price of tokens and coins to be sent will also decrease.
at least we were given the opportunity to experience the low cost of GAS again. The good news will come, after all this time we have been waiting for us to finally be quite relieved, even though the green color of the market is no longer aggressive.

16 to 30 Gwei for gas price is very good and cheap. Many months since April last year, with the trend of DeFi the gas price on Ethereum network often stays at high cost.

Up and down but price is excessively expensive and the fall of Gas price in Gwei is good. It is supported by fall of Ethereum price as well.

Time to move your ERC-20 tokens. Cheap gas price does not last for long or forever.

Check gas price ahead of your token transactions. https://www.gasnow.org/

If you have ever paid a $ 100 transaction fee for one transaction on a decentralized exchange, it is not Ethereum's fault, but the exchange's fault for charging a very high fee, whereas through the Ethereum platform, I have never seen such a large transaction fee in a single transaction.

How much should be charged on average to transfer $100 worth of Ethereum? Few days ago I transferred $100 and the fees wasn't up to $2..!!

Good advantage and a lot of ERC20 holders there will be happy and enjoy the service of network in reducing the ethereum gas fees at this moment. These effort made by the ethereum will take effect slowly decreasing mode until it will completely recovers to the lowest transaction fees.

In my opinion, the moment of reducing ETH gas is only for a moment to get the lowest list then the costs will go up again, it looks like the ETH developer has not found a way to solve the problem of high transactions on the erc20 network, we all hope to be able to enjoy the cheap gas fees like before.

Don't celebrate too early as most of the ido projects are postponing their events because of correction market. Gas price will be surged once again whenever market is rebounded and projects are going to start IDOs again. So, enjoy this moment and prepared for the worst gas price again if market rebounds from the correction before July. As London hardfork or EIP 1559 will be implemented probably in July, none knows what'll happen before that.  ;)

I see it, this is the thing that we wait for the small community eth , We want to return to be a fan of eth if the development is good in the future, one of them if the gas is stable again, but like now it is still a little expensive I hope it can come back like 2017 or even cheaper, because now there are many cheaper networks than eth.

Why don't you take the moving average for 2-weeks or 1 month, rather than quoting the fee level from the past two days? As we all know, transaction fee can vary a lot with different cryptocurrencies. Even with Bitcoin, a few days back we had average fee of as low as 1 Sat/Byte. But the thing to remember here is that such low levels don't last for long. Users will rush to combine their inputs while the fee is low, and eventually within a couple of days the fee will be back to the previous levels. I would agree with your observations, in case the ETH gas fee remains low for at least the next one week.

I don't think it's stable. Even as I write this, the highest price of gas is 60 GWEI, and the lowest is 45 GWEI. however, I agree if we say that ethereum fees are already low if we withdraw on average up to 2 or 4 weeks. however, ethereum fees can also be low even within a few hours, but become expensive again in a few moments.

The time that the OP posted was just a lucky time. Because when you check the ethgastracker now, it is bit high again. But compared to previous months, this is already a very good deal. Maybe it will further reduce this coming July for the EIP 1559 implementation.

I always check that site and wait for the gas price to drop low before doing a transaction.
I just hope that it wouldn't climb up to 3 digit gwei and stay low for good.

Why are the prices higher on Defi platforms, isn't it up to ethereum and not the platform?

I just looked at depositing in a lending pool and it gave an estimated price of 0.00834ETH which is ridiculous. I did not continue and am not sure if there would have been another fee after that?
And then more fees when withdrawing?

It's a good news mate and this will be the key to flip bitcoin like what other saying wherein as it becomes so stagnant after the drastic decline.. In fact as you can see the volume of eth is too high than bitcoin since it collapsed and now for sure it will increase its volume more in the market because of this news that can convince other ppl to rely on it again..

The drop of gas fees might be the reason why Ethereum is sustaining from $1800 to $2600.

That's a good news for us and those who have been problematic with the fee can now set their fees lower. I've done my transaction already and it's good to see that I didn't rushed to do my transaction.

And waited until the network settles the fees and sets it lower.

I think this is the impact of ETH 2.0, the price has started to slowly decline lately, but sometimes it is also expensive due to busy transactions. maybe we will feel the fee price is even lower next year

Dude, yesterday i transferred over 200$ by used gas fee below 2$ yeah now it's possible in Ethereum Chain.
It's a lowest cost ever i made a transaction in ETH network and maybe i experienced after a few years but i think it can increased anytime again.

I couldn't tell the difference using trust wallet, it's been weeks that I've noticed that trust wallet ETH gas fee is always high even when others like coinomi and metamask have low gas fee, presently in trust wallet you need 7$ to send 10$ USDT, this is a big let down for trust wallet

Yup, agree with the fees being so much lower the transactions on ETH are much higher. The fees have made it such that normal people can transact without having to spend hundreds in fees.

Nevertheless, the situation still calls for a much faster need to speed up the improvements on the blockchain. We need ETH v2.0 as scalability on the network is posing a huge problem.

ETH has made huge gains this year, alongside gas fees was insane at some moment. But, right now the Ethereum gas fees incredibly low, and it keeps maintaining the downward trend. Of course this is good sign and yes i'm quite satisfied that improvement is going on. Earlier, Vitalik Says He’s “Very Confident” Ethereum (ETH) Fees Will Drop. So,this is inevitable to happen.

it is Ethereum, but it is an interaction with smart contract, when you just send Ether to another address, there is no interaction with smart contract, and lower amount of gas is needed for transaction

basically, it is 21k Gas needed to send Ether to another address, and could be around 200k Gas for DeFi deposit in landing pool (ten times gas needed, ten times transaction cost), and when you set your gas to any level (20 during this low gas times), you pay:
- around 420k for send Ether transaction
- around 4.2M for smart contract interaction

well, so far the fees are still very low, even the highest is 24 gwei, or around $ 1.36. I know that Vitalik must have thought that BSC was very threatening for ethereum position. if it doesn't take action, it will be very difficult to take its place. if it's like this, then I think the development of crypto will be a step further. I think BSC and ETH are almost in the same position. I'm pretty sure that there are many other projects that want to build technology like them.

I just saw it at the eth gas station and I was shocked. a very far from what we've seen so far.
will it return to its heyday with the ever-increasing adoption of the ethereum blockchain? because the BSC is already gaining momentum for very low transaction fees.
Honestly, this is very encouraging for ethereum token lovers who will have no trouble with transaction fees that have been limiting ethereum token traders for a long time.

It is a good Sign and great effort of ethereum, this is what everyone was waiting and everyone want , I was personally waiting for this to Done my Pending Transactions.
Is this the result of the update or because of the market sentiment?
I'm shocked right now to see the fees and thinking how much money I waste during its peak season. ETH is moving accordingly now and its good that they do their best to lower the fees on their congested network, this should not be temporary because ETH network is still great.

I don't understand why people get so excited with a small temporary fluctuation in the ETH gas fee. I am 100% sure that the fee levels will be back to previous high rates within a few days. Scalability is an issue with many of the cryptocurrencies and Ethereum is not an exception. And to divert the discussion about high fee levels, the developers have constantly relied on the discussion about ETH 2.0. Personally, I don't think that ETH 2.0 is going to resolve the fee issue. It is just a diversionary or delaying tactic.

Don't be pessimistic, that update is not done yet so let ETH team work on this matter and this temporary gas fee drop should be taken advantage, this can be a one time drop for ETH but still, this is a good news. Everyone who are using ETH network are excited because they can save a lot of money now, who will be sad on this kind of fees drop?

Oh darn. I guess I'll just wait for the lucky time again. Some of my tokens are still there because I cannot get it out due to the transaction fees.
I had been meaning to try and get it out but I just can't and even the deposit fees from one exchange to Metamask is high.
It's still good news though, we are seeing a bit of hope that it will go back to old times.
I was just wondering if the reason could be the traffic jam was cleaned up due to a lower frequency of transactions. People had been switching to BSC like their new highway with cheap fees.

Dont you think that Ethereum transaction fees has dropped down only because the market is calm now? We see that during almost 2 weeks Bitcoin price has not changed at all. Bitcoin transactions are also cheap and quick right now (mempool is quite empty right now) Same is with altcoins. There are simply less trades happens on the market, that is why fees are low. Just remember when there is a rush on the market how high fees are.

I can imagine what will be happening when ethereum 2.0 will be fully implemented and the transaction fees can be reduced into the less than $1 for each transaction applied for ERC20 token.
I hope that this day will remain forever and i can interact with the various defi on ethereum chain with cheap transaction fees.
$1 for any ethereum transaction and that's very cheap in my opinion.

I can imagine what will be happening when ethereum 2.0 will be fully implemented ...
Low transaction fees will only have an impact on the density of transaction activities in the initial month, while the transaction density in the following month will be normal. We think of this as the accumulation of pending transactions by all users who disagreed with the fee at that time.

The issue of fees is actually only the object of people's conversation at this time, expensive fees are not necessarily the main problem of the Ethereum network, it appears that the price of Ethereum rose sharply during the last season, where transaction fees at that time were also expensive.

All because of the complaints of Ethereum holders for middle to lower class holders who complain about the very high gas costs, and finally the gas costs are lowered and this is good news for everyone.
because many who own small Ethereum chose to hold it and wait for the Gas cost to go down including me, and now I am relieved and if there is another Gas cost drop I will sell it while waiting for Ethereum to go up again and hopefully it won't be temporary.

I agree.

The ETH dev team should make it quicker to implement things that they have to implement to improve the network and scale it.

I'm looking on the side of miners, I've seen that they're not liking the drop in fees because the result of it, the rewards for them are dropping too.

It's not surprising, the only reason why the price increases is when the demand in transaction increases or if the blockchain is crowded right now due to the crash of the market it's not surprising that the price of the gas will drop well that's always what happen not only in Ethereum but also in other crpytocurrency just like Bitcoin.

I remember a few weeks ago the gas reaches $200 or more, that's really ridiculous.

After the last correction of the cryptocurrency market, the price of gas on the Ethereum blockchain fell very much and this is very good, but when it was urgently necessary to make cryptocurrency transfers on the Ethereum blockchain, the price of gas was cosmic and now, unfortunately, I don’t care what the price of gas on the Ethereum blockchain is at the moment and in general, most likely, soon there will be a market correction again and the gas price will again begin to rise to cosmic prices, so this opportunity must not be missed now.

Well that's a good news to be spread then because many of us are keep into complaining how expensive having transaction because of the high Ethereum fees on the past months of this year. Good thing that all we have been waiting for have already come wherein we can do transactions at a lower fee value rather than having larger fees that is much expensive compared to the amount you are about to send. May this last a bit longer if not permanently so that even small amount of transactions can be held specially for those who have keep their funds while waiting for this moment to come.

It is very good. We must seize the moment and complete the transactions. And then recently there were such commissions that it made no sense to sell tokens. At best, everything was spent on payment and there were ridiculous percentages from the sale. Hopefully there won't be any more huge increases, at least in the near future.

Ethereum network fee may be lower at this point but the real test of gas fee is when there is huge traffic on the network!  During the peak of ethereum network transactions,  gas are incredibly expensive and something need to be done about this. I have had to pay $450 for a single transaction before!

I really enjoyed the ethereum gas fee drop last week, It's been a while since I used my ethereum wallet. I transferred some of my valued tokens from wallet to wallet without thinking about the gas fee. I have missed many opportunities because of the eth gas fee so I hope that it won't bump up again like what happened on the recent Defi trend that somehow drives the gas fee high.

Well, this is not really a good news for now as the gas price isn't stable, even if one makes a transaction during that time the gas price was low, theres still a high chance that the transaction will get stuck on the blockchain without confirmation or might take several hours to get a confirmation as the gas price is likely to go up again seconds after hitting the send button, I've had this experience before so I know actually know what am talking about.
This can only become good news if the gas price comes down finally to stay in the low levels, personally, I have alot of my money stuck on NFTs built on Ethereum blockchain so my prayer day and night is for the gas price to come down so I can be able to sell my NFTs without having to pay so much in transaction fees.

Enjoy while you've got the chance, it's been the pain of every traders who hold erc tokens, the fees are really killing them and let them lose many opportunities as the market pump a month ago but due to the transaction fee issues there are many traders and investors who unable to process what supposedly they want to trade out.

Now with this, we have to see if there are still open opportunities and start working back, this move brings investors and traders to the market especially those who got stuck.

There should be a real solution and the drop should not because of the price drop, we know this is just temporary so take this now before it rise again. There’s a lot of fees problem before with ETH every time the network get congested, i think that can still be a problem if the bull happen again this year, no solution yet from ETH update.

I think this is a very good effort for etherem, because this is what crypto users who use the erc20 network expect, and this is a great opportunity to make pending transactions, with this reduction in gas costs, I believe etherem will become higher quality and more popular,
Low gas fees alone won't make Ethereum popular, if it was about low gas fees Avax, dag, near and a few hundreds of coins on the market offer low gas fees and yet Ethereum is still above them all, Ethereum is popular for it use case, example Ethereum is the first project to come about with "smart contract", binance smart chain is just a replica of Ethereum blockchain with some advanced features, Ethereum is almost as popular as Bitcoin.

When a team of a project means well for their users, community and of course the future of the project, they will do everything within their power to ensure all challenges are taken care of; this is truthfully the nature of Ethereum team. I did transactions fee days ago and was surprised at the gas fee I used.
Also, this changes in gas fees shows that the team are not relenting and of course working on making Ethereum blockchain better and the point of attraction. In the same way, once the team gets this right by further making sure the gas fees drops even more, then most blockchains won't have any reason to say most things about Ethereum because it's clear their point of contention is gas fees, so if that is taken care of, what else?
More good things are coming to Ethereum, it's just a matter of time.

A good thing to hear and I'm wondering what will be its impact to BSC as the gas fee drops. And I believe ETH users and ERC20 traders are happy with the situation. I just hope that this could be sustainable and I hope it drops more just like before (or even just close to it). And I was more excited to see the impact of the ETH2.0 upgrade as it was scheduled next month if it will proceed.

Good job Mr. Vilatik Buterin and the team, it was a big effort to make it...

ETH never fails to impress me as I had been always believing that high gas fee issue would really be resolved. Yes, it dropped but not really low just like before but still

its a good thing to see those improvement.I don't mind about effects on BSC yet both could give out different market so it will vary which demand would be more.

As long we do benefit out that fast and cheap transactions then that's what counts.

The stats shows it all, not just with the fees but the developments and the usages of this coin that makes

it more popular than other available alts, ETH is a solid project where developers until now enjoyed the functionality

of the system. Just good for now as fees really got lowered compared to the last high.

I don't see this one as a good reason to become more popular because ETH is already on top so there's no need for that. The main concern here is the fees and its finally good to see the lower fees again, you might want to do your transactions now because I see this one as temporary because when the market rise again, you can expect the gas fees increases as well, this has been the problem since then.

I agree that the decrease in gas fees will not make Ethereum more popular, considering that Ethereum is already popular and even comparable
to Bitcoin. However, this reduction in gas fees has been taken advantage of by several ERC20 token owners who have delayed transactions
because they were very high before. It is true that this decrease in gas fees did occur because the crypto market was experiencing a decline,
but once the crypto market recovers and the price of Ethereum goes up again, Ethereum gas fees will definitely get expensive again.

The trading halt and gas made retail investors think of ETH in a bad light.  I am also part of them.  I go to Polygon and use its platform.  Cheap, fast and elegant.  Layer 2 projects are getting more attention.  without a doubt, after every BtC break, ETH/Erc20 gas fees will be cheaper. :D

good news I think eth developer is working on it because they have always had problems with fees that are too expensive, so with this news it will make ETH users happy, and we are not faced with expensive fees anymore, I tried to send and do a fee in uniswap not arrived more than 10$ which usually takes more than 30$ for one confirmation.
but if you see the price of ethereum is going down, it's only natural that the costs are also going down, but can't conclude that there has been a true decrease in the cost of ethereum. because the information will be available in early July, the new system from ethereum can run according to what many people want to return to the old price and better speed.

so we can't draw conclusions for a transaction, but we look for various other transactions and in situations of heavy traffic. did it change correctly as expected, or is it still quite expensive!!! so if it is true that there have been changes from earlier, of course we should be grateful that it can be realized faster than the specified time.

Layer 2 project such as arbitrum really gives us a glimpse of what to expect with Ethereum layer 2 scaling . If this is to continue , once 2.0 roll out it will be a drastic fall for the gas fee.

Many people of my community said it's because the preparation of eth 2.0 is almost done and fee is coming back to normal. People are moving to BSC right now due to low fees but i'm sure when ETH 2.0 is officially launch, ETH network will become strong again in terms of fee and transaction speed

It's affected by the bearish i think, everyone holding their coin and not much transaction happened that comes from dapps. but like a month ago, the gas could go down this low but could increase again suddenly.
eth 2.0 has nothing to do with it, even btc transaction fee at this time around also decreasing because people refuse to make transaction, after all if you see the pattern, in every pump the gas price or transaction cost in general gonna increase

its cheap by many people standard but for dapps its still quite expensive i don't think the gas problem has been overcomed.

See how it takes $15 for swapping token thats still high and the problem comes from ETH price that is expensive, i just hope that in the future we can have two native tokens runs in ETH blockchain and the price is fixed that way we can have good thing for a long time it won't hinder the price growth
of this coin too. imagine if ETH price go up to $10000 above the fee gonna be 4x right now although the gas price supposed to be low in ETH value.

Of course we expect eth gas costs to remain as consistent as this, with many defi projects now running on various smart contract blockchains at this point it would certainly not be good for ETH to continue to maintain high gas costs.

It's good news for most ETH users because, to be honest, most traders and investors these days are struggling because of high gas fees and they're even using other coins that offer lower fees. I hope that they would continue working on this because it would also have a positive impact on ETH.

That should be considered by Vitalik as he was competing for the market demand of Binance Smart Chain otherwise, ETH users will jump to the other platform/smart contract.

These declining fees will give us some insights that the coming ETH 2.0 upgrade will be effective. We might able to see that it continue to drop.
So let's see what will happen next if there is a huge impact on the price or it remains the same. But I'm going to sure that this news will help to increase ETH users.

Meaning, this is a good chance for us to made a transaction with Ethereum now, because surely when bitcoin begin to spike again in the market certainly ETH will also get increase and if that happens the gas fee will also surely increase and many holders will get a problem with it again in, so lets take this opportunity while the gas fee of ERC20 is got down.

Yes, I myself will think several times to make Ethereum transactions, because the amount of the amount that I have to spend is only for one transaction, if the cost starts to be a little cheap, there will be many transactions that are starting to do by the person who is waiting now.

Indeed those who patiently waiting knowing that it's much wiser to wait for the fees to lower down instead of continuing then lose the investment just by paying for the transaction fees.

Lots of small time traders from ERC system are stuck and for sure they are now starting to proceed as the amount of fees are now more lower than before.

You can justify the value of your tokens with the fee that you'll going to pay.

But what will happen when ETH goes cheap again with ETH 2.0?

View statistics of transactions and commissions. Binance Smart Chain lags very far behind Ethereum
https://cryptofees.info/

The amount of gas in blocks has been increased, so more transactions are placed in the block
https://etherscan.io/chart/gaslimit
Defi projects are not very popular now, so the number of transactions has decreased.

The last time I tried it I was surprised because a normal transaction from MEW was like 6 dollars but when I checked the price for a transaction on Uniswap it said 45 dollars or so.What exactly is the problem there? It also didn't let me make any changes.

I also noticed the gas fees have reduced significantly lately, seems like this would be the best time to transfer that token from wallet to exchange, really glad it dropped have been unable to transfer some tokens throughout this year, the gas fees required was way too much for me to ever consider paying.
In my opinion, the moment of reducing ETH gas is only for a moment to get the lowest list then the costs will go up again, it looks like the ETH developer has not found a way to solve the problem of high transactions on the erc20 network, we all hope to be able to enjoy the cheap gas fees like before.
During the daylight eth gas fees are normally high and at night sometimes its very low, if eth goes back to $4k, the gas fees will definitely skyrocket back up sadly, let's hope eth 2.0 fix this high gas fees issue.

Incrementally Ethereum transaction cost is going down. Yesterday I made some transactions even below the rate of OP mentioned. I made some transactions by 12-15 GWEI on the Ethereum blockchain by controlling GWEI. Those per transaction cost me below 1-0.83 USD. But the Ethereum blockchain couldn't handle all transactions, if new investors didn't shift to the BSC address.

It's really good news. I was totally shocked when I saw news on twitter that gas fees had dropped by over 90%. It was completely unbelievable that I had to try it myself to confirm. Eth gas fees has been high for a relatively long amount of time which gave rise to the creation of new layer 2 networks and sidechains that were used to offset other things people couldn't do with eth like defi. Before now, using eth blockchain was for the rich people who could afford those $20 to $500 fees. I recently saw a twitter post about a guy who tried buying at NFT worth around $25 or so but gas fees alome was at $50+. It's outrageous. Thank goodness everything is getting back to normal.

Yeah that's true, you don't need to make a transaction in eth Network to know about eth gas fee, you can enter eth gas station page and see update by refreshing this page.

Regarding https://ethgasstation.info/ we can see the gas fee update. or we can see update the mempool https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#ETH,24h,fee

Seems all network has to calm down phase. the Transaction takes short a time to be confirmed. Maybe has to rest a while from their much activity in the past.

I'm very surprised that Ethereum GWEI cost is also volatile as the cryptocurrency market. Only a few days ago ETH transaction cost dropped to half USD 😯. Again, from today GWEI is going down. Maybe it will rise again until we have final Ethereum 2.0. Actually, I'm not free to make ETH transaction because I have to wait to drop fees. Definitely Ethereum lost so many new projects and those users support.

that's how it work . Fees are following the price of the crypto . Fees can drop when a crypto price drop and we are entering the bear market lately ,
it's why we experience a drop of fees but this is our time now to transact eth related transactions if ever you want to buy or sell something  . We have lots of aternatives to eth that solve eth issues , this make eth lost some of its users

Yes, that is my experience, too. I asked myself if a normal transaction from MEW is around 6 dollars where do those 45 dollars on Uniswap come from? Who takes that money and makes the whole exchange impractical? The whales can only trade very well if small retail traders can participate as well, but they can't under these conditions.

yeah, Level2 projects and roll-ups are here to lower gas fees on Ethereum, and hopefully will stay here, so that fees stay on these levels until ETH2.0 and PoS deployment on the main-net, or merge
nevertheless, this is a great moment to actually consolidate and collect profits on Ethereum DeFi projects, since interaction with smart contracts is on last year level prices, much lower than during February and March

The gas for transactions on the Ethereum blockchain is always changing, there are times when Gwei increases, and there are times when Gwei decreases. This is nothing new. In the past Gwei has been very high, reaching +100 Gwei over. And this is what Ethereum blockchain users are complaining about. Ethereum transaction fees with tokens are of course different, and most of those blockchains confirm token transactions, so Gwei has increased dramatically.

We first should wait and check what they finally achieve in terms of gas fees and scalability. Usually it should be simple maths, but you never know what kind of application comes around the corner that again manages to get the network congested.

I for my part hope that Ethereum can achieve a level of scalability that allows for it to become the epicenter for decentralized applications.

It’s don't think for that a lot of eth project are coming then fee is down, impact i have seen tons of project those are launched in BSC network.

Don't you see that BSC also has the same transaction fees as Ethereum. If you use the Binance Chain Extension, the transaction fee is 0.001 BSC, meaning that the fee is the same as ETH. It's just that the price of BNB is lower than ETH, so it appears that the transaction fees of the BSC Blockchain are lower than the Ethereum blockchain. Why the price looks high, because you measure it in dollars.

Honestly it is around at 2 dollars levels and that is as good as it gets for something like ethereum. However the amount of transactions are not the same and that is a big reason why it s lower right now. Not like there was a solution to it, the prices of many things dropped and people are not trading as much as they used to.

Plus the numbers change a lot, like I tried sending 20 bucks from my metamask just this morning and it suggested 8 dollars, I do not know where people get their gas fee calculations or where my metamask did but I decided to use BSC once again, it is that simple to drop the amount of eth is used because if you tell me 8 bucks then I will switch to other place which charges me like 20 cents, it is wildly different. All in all I think ehtereum is going to be better and better but it is not going to be right now, it will take some time.

i's been a long while that every holders and traders are having difficulty exchanging their assets using this chain, they've suffered from high transaction fees especially those small time traders which happened that the amount that they've supposedly to trade is far lesser compared to the transaction fees that they've needed to pay.

of course this is good progress for ethereum, because this is what developers have to do,
if everything is cheap then users will also be happy with the ease of using crypto currency, so grateful that Ethereum still have that power here

yeah, if everything is more affordable than many end users will use the system, it's really good to see that the adjustments  been done,

i's been a long while that every holders and traders are having difficulty exchanging their assets using this chain, they've suffered from high transaction fees especially those small time traders which happened that the amount that they've supposedly to trade is far lesser compared to the transaction fees that they've needed to pay.

Great job and initiatives, for the best of all sides, traders, investors and developers.

Lots and lots of users. The vast majority are no crypto millionaires but are playing around and trying stuff out with rather small wallets. They have absolutely no chance to participate in all the decentralized finance applications if those run on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
The fees make it simple impossible for them and I think those are exactly the people we need. Those who can make a little more out of their money although they are not a whale. That is to some degree an important point of crypto.

Today ethereum gas fees has decreased a lot. Today the GWEI is 12-15 and Ethereum transfer fee is 0.7-0.95$ and Swapping on Uniswap will need only 10$ fees. I hope now gas fee will not increase and we can make transaction easily.

My suggestion is that you can take advantage of the low price of gas on Ethereum to make transactions arbitrarily or you can say take advantage of the difference in prices from various exchanges because when the price of ethereum at the exchange goes up, it is certain that gas costs will not be cheap anymore.

Yes, and now I see that some people are also starting to like Ethereum again because of the decrease in Gas transaction fees on the Ethereum platform, so I also believe that after the completion of Ethereum 2.0 development, Ethereum will become an unbeatable token of all time.

I strongly believe BSC is the biggest undoing of the ETH network. Without BSC, a lot of new projects seeking smart contracts would've died off and the extortion in gas fees from traders would've continued unabated. It's because of this same high fee that an existing project I followed couldn't swap it's token and that project died off last year. Again, traders on Uniswap talk a lot about high gas fees as withdrawal fees when they trade there and that has made me not even patronise any token listed on Uniswap or any ETH based Dex. My preference is BSC based tokens and on Pancakeswap. If a token I want to buy is listed only on Uniswap or other ETH based Dex, I just lose interest and forget buying it. Well, let's see how this new gas level improves and stays cheap. Perhaps, it may encourage many traders to reconsider their stance and go back to ETH.

Some people have lost interest in ethereum when its gas fees suddenly becomes high and all is hoping that the staff would fix it the soonest time. Ethereum has remained a good platform and so its demand is still high because of its good quality.

Today, if this news is reliable, this would bring positive impact on ethereum and will regain those who have lost their trust in ethereum due to expensive gas fees. And as expected, once it demand increases, probably its value will also surges.

because the collapse of the ethereum price makes transaction costs cheap or when the price collapses, there are not too many traders who make transactions on the ethereum network, making the ethereum network lighter and making transaction costs very cheap as is the case today

Yeah, this is a very great thing that the gas fee of ERC20 is dropped very much.
today, this reaches only 11 gwei for the standard gas fee based on https://ethgasstation.info/

Well, this lower gas fee really proves that ERC20 still has a good concern to make the community trust and also to ensure that ERC20 tokens are still worthy to be sued for new projects. As we know that ERC20 really has a hard competitor from Binance Smart Chain that offers a very low transfer fees. Although right now, erc20 still becomes the highest platform used, in fact, there is a worry about the BSC. And BSC itself is also good platform although still have some weakness in the network and security

Title: Re: Ethereum Gas Fees Drop
Post by: warg2017 on June 06, 2021, 03:32:06 AM
Yes, the gas fee of erc20 is relatively low now, and i believe the long bear market will continue to be lower and lower.
I don't think it's a bad thing that ETH gas fee is expensive. High gas fees are a sign that ETH is crowded, and when it gets crowded, it only happens in a bull market.
So if high gas fee means Bull, low gas fee means Bear, then i would rather high gas fee.

There is no improvement in the network. Most of the Blockchains are experiencing a lack of demand and this is the same with Ethereum as well. The exchange rates have dropped by 40%-50% for each of these coins, and this has affected the trade volumes. The traders are not very active right now and the situation will remain like this until the prices recover. So this dip in the gas price is a temporary phenomenon. We can expect the gas price to be >100 gwei, once the exchange rates recover.

I hope this decrease in ethereum transaction fees thanks to network upgrades,
because if that's true of course it's a good thing because I'm sure the team has also worked hard,
and so far I think Binance Smart Chain is the solution

Yeah it seems as the berlin upgrade slowly shows it's full impact on the gas fee prices. At the moment we are around 10 gwei for a transaction which is like 0,70$ for an ETH transfer and 1,50$ for an ERC-20 Token transfer which is still too much in my opinion for an everyday use but of course a huuuuge improvement compared to the 200+ gwei prices that we constantly had for a weeks and months. I hope this trend continues until we are at the same lvl of transaction fees as on the binance smart chain.

So far the Gas fee on Ethereum transactions has always decreased but it doesn't always stay at a small number and also not so high when the transaction fee changes, and I myself am certainly quite happy because this is happening.

There will be two sides that have different thoughts later, but it's best to think about the good things with the price drop at this time. But if it's true about lowering transaction fees with all of this, it's time to wait for further news to make small transactions.
Yes, now is the time to make small transactions on the Ethereum network because the fees are very cheap now even though they are not as cheap as BSC, but at least it has been very helpful for those who used to be hampered by transactions at large fees.

I am very glad that the problem with high commission prices in the Ethereum network began to be solved and the load on the network, and, accordingly, the price for gas began to decrease. This is great news for the entire Ethereum community, as it has once again shown that Ethereum is a strong platform and it is not ready to give up its leadership positions, but on the contrary, with the solution of this main task, it will be able to show an even better result of its network operation. I also really hope that with the solution of this problem, attention to Ethereum will increase again, which will allow the price of the ETH coin itself to show new growth.

I really don't understand the Ethereum GWEI problem. We shouldn't hold our tokens in exchange, but when altcoins price goes up, gas fees increase. Now I can make transactions at a cost of half USD, but during the high price of tokens, I had to pay almost 12 USD. Either pay high gas fees to take profit, sell low at low prices or hold tokens on exchanges, this isn't a pair.

This shift in gas fees demonstrates that the team is not giving up and is, of course, continuing to improve the Ethereum blockchain and make it the center of attention. Similarly, once the team gets this right by ensuring that gas fees continue to fall, most blockchains will have no reason to criticize Ethereum because it's clear that their point of conflict is gas fees.

I have tried this and had a huge problem with the "swap" part on the uniswap, does anyone know the reason for it? I mean sending is much cheaper these days but when it comes to swapping it for something it becomes very expensive. For me to change my USDT in my metamask to ETH it requires 18 dollars, why is it so much?

I could send it to binance but even that requires ETH and I have none in my wallet right now, I have no ETH at all, I just have USDT, if I exchange my USDT to ETH then I will have a decent amount of ETH that I can do like 10 swaps, but when it comes down to swap instead of sending its somehow expensive. I still think that these numbers we are seeing may not be normal, like for example sending USDT to binance requires 4 dollars, but when I check that website it says 1.5 dollars, that seems like a huge difference, nearly 3x difference.

I think this cheap transaction fee will not last long because when the conditions of the exchange recover and transactions using the ethereum platform increase, it will definitely make the gas costs for making transactions also increase, so as long as gas costs are cheap like this, you should be able to use good.
looks like the adjustments have already been made by the ethereum developers. This condition has been happening for several weeks. Transaction fees that used to be very troublesome for many traders and investors can finally be resolved even though they are not as cheap as BSC. what is clear is that ethereum has taken a pretty good step in overcoming the problem even though it seems very slow.

Well.. we cant expect it to last long. As long as the scalability issue for ETH is not resolved, we will be dealing with very high gas prices every now and then. ETH 2.0 was supposed to reduce the transaction fee for Ethereum. But in the end it turned out to be another delaying tactic used by the developers to divert the debate on fee levels. I no longer trust tall claims being made by the ETH developers. They are simply not interested in reducing the gas prices. The monopoly they enjoy right now have made them arrogant.

Good news that Ethereum gas fee dropped and I hope it will not go too much high again. This lower gas fee maybe because of the ETH 2.0 which already developed and because of a lot of competitors of ETH now. Ethereum has a huge demand despite of higher gas fee and it will continue to increase if this lower gas fee will continue, so that Ethereum users will have a smooth transaction every time they want under Ethereum blockchain.

from the graph they almost seem to be reasonable fees but i hope they drop further and return to the old values when the average fee was about 20 cents, it seems that the refusal of many users to make transactions at these exaggerated values of the fee has worked and made think miner and therefore they have lowered the fees, however the fees on bsc remain even more convenient, and the eth fees have not yet stabilized continue to be too variable

The fee is still cheap enough to make a transaction comfortably .Its 28gwei on latest .It will be good if it is keep going like this .One stage we have seen the high fee of 500gwei and its just act a negative impact on eth chain .Most of the project has started there initial moment with BSC .So it will be good for the eth blockchain and also for us to keep the gas price low to make any trasaction.

I saw that it fluctuated to 72 gwei and then after a few minutes dropped to 20's and then now it's back to 14 gwei.

I see gas costs have started to increase again even though they are still below 20 Gwei but this is a very rare momentum to see gas costs are very cheap like this so you should be able to use it well to make transactions between exchanges

However, this was a good news that even for increasing coin value has the chance to lower again the gas fee.

The upgrade will take time to take place.

But whatever is happening to the ETH network as long as the fees have dropped a lot, this is in our favor. The division and the use of BSC as a choice for lower fees did also good to ETH.

The network became free of congestion.

its good for us now if eth gas fee drop alot, now we can send or trade token in uniswap which is usually need high fee transaction. no more limitation in trades or sending token , so it will attract higher trading volume in decentralized exchanges.hopefully it will running and not due this ethereum price fall.
Yes Due to the reduction in ETH gas fees we will now be able to trade on uniswap. Now uniswap fees 7-12 USD. If one is less than  5 usd then it is better.  hope it will happen soon

Ether gas fees dropped below $2 as market cools and that makes a lot of happy faces. The most recent drop in gas expenses make ethereum transactions as being more viable once again. Does Ether 2.0 truly settle this high gas charges issue in the near future and be always under a $1? Already lot of competitor on this blockchain right now, hopefully Ether will alive.

as costs that fall very deep can at least be used as a very good opportunity to make a profit and of course it must be put to good use and don't miss this to arbit between exchanges so you can profit from the difference in coin prices between exchanges .
Yes, and one more thing, everyone can do small transactions without having to pay expensive fees so that small traders will also be greatly helped by this because when Gas costs are high, they cannot make any transactions on the Ethereum platform.

Yes,you are right i am agree with your post.eth gass fee recently under control. That was the good sine for all ERC-20 token  deposit and transaction system.

Pada tahun 2020, biaya penggunaan rata-rata lebih rendah dari $0,10.

It's good to hear that ethereum gas fee is quite low already and that people will surely come back for ethereum transactions. But i see this fee has all the chances to get high again once this market returns to normal. Most of the transactions fees these days are becoming cheap but since the market is in dip, things are really expected that way. But when this market becomes bullish again, i think transactions fees will increase again.

Well said and it could happen anytime and same goes for Bitcoin too on where mempool is almost empty which do results on having 1sat/byte transaction which is a very unusual fee that you can see nowadays and you can presume out that people arent really making out some movements
in terms of active transactions and for now they are on a state of observation when the market is still on moving sideways but once there would be some significant movement like upwards or the market starting up to rise then we would see some influx of transactions which would result into
clogged and expensive fees once again so dont get to be surprised.

Everyone is scared of selling off o. currently, the news are not favourable for crypto. the news from Nigeria, china and the billionaire Elon has shake the market. currently, majority are not selling and waiting to see market movement. reason why gas fees are low.

If you have ever paid a $ 100 transaction fee for one transaction on a decentralized exchange, it is not Ethereum's fault, but the exchange's fault for charging a very high fee, whereas through the Ethereum platform, I have never seen such a large transaction fee in a single transaction.
it's not the exchange's fault, they can make fees as high as they want, it's up for users if they accept it or not, if they did then it's their fault, that's it, fees are quite low right now, if the market goes up fees will do the same unfortunately.

until eth 2.0 completely implemented, i doubt this current state of fee gonna be persistent, moreover if bullish come that increases the network to the blockchain making it somewhat congested. The problem with most of blockchain is scalability in the middle of seasonal traffic increase due to the bullrun, now eth also have traffic from dapps and defi to think about, the only way to keep the fee at bay and not becoming overly expensive is to wait for eth 2.0 but yeah, current gas price make it viable to use dex again.

There is no doubt that BSC took advantage of the ETH fee situation and some of the projects even migrated to BSC and some of the proposed projects have moved to BSC as well because ETH was not their priority because of the high fees and demand by the end users. Finally after months of frustration by the users using ETH when the transaction charges went high as $70 things are slowing down which is good to hear.

It looks like the spam attack that happened on ethereum network already gone. The current gas fees was around less than 60 cents and that's the best thing that i have ever seen since a few years ago.
I can send any erc token with very cheap fees right now. Even BSC can consume less but remember this is the second largest smartcontract platform.
I hope that it will be going down again to the less than 40 cents.

As of this time in replying to your thread, we are now between 8 to 12 gwei average. This is a good thing. However, I noticed that days ago when Ethereum crashed from $2,700 to $2,400, gwei increased to as much as 64. Maybe during the flash crashes or dips, this is where Ethereum’s gas fee increased or experiencing congestion, especially when using Uniswap. It’s now a good time to use Uniswap to buy or sell something before another congestion happens.

Yes, but it's also not a big problem for Ethereum because in the past too many projects have used the ERC20 platform on their new tokens making Ethereum much more powerful than others in the crypto space.
Perhaps ERC20 it is still at a new level compared to other platforms, because the projects on it are really quality and have strong potential.

Bitcoin is usually followed by ethereum's position and ethereum's gas fees but investors trade in this currency. The amount of gas fee was increased due to increase in demand and price but now it is much less with the fall in the value of currencies the amount of gas fees has come down.

that doesn't seem to be the true story. Those who have been migrating to the another blockchain just need to change their RPC to be able to connect with ethereum chain. People were migrating to the another chain temporary but once the tx fees on ethereum will be going back again to the what it should be and then they can jump back again to the ethereum. I think that you must try to see the average transaction on ethereum network.
It seems like that the new update that already implemented last month give a small impact to the fees.

I really really hope that the gas transaction price will remain low and not just in fluctuations all the time. Small erc 20 token holders are the most affected every time the gas price is too high. Sometimes gas price is enough amount to buy another potential tokens. The amount to pay the gas is enough to start investment.

it's useless, even though GAS is down at 10 gwei, but for ERC-20 transfers it's still quite expensive,
especially for token swaps on Uniswap it's still expensive, it takes at least $10 for the fee, but if ethereum delivery is cheap,

BSC fees are still huge compare to EOS and SOL, I prefer Solana Blockchain to any other ones because of speed, low cost fees and of course security. I think the drop in ETH fees is due to the fact that, the price of ETH is currently down and most people are not making the network congested too for the sake of the drop in the demand for defi tokens.

The ETH transaction fees suddenly drop to 50%. I am claiming my free GTC today with a few transactions of 7$ unlike in the past few days that it has been more than $14+. This good news for users to transfer tokens now? Or still, wait for the lower gas?

It depends on your priorities here. If you can still wait, why not?
But if you are after for the price of your token and if you will wait longer, the price may drop, then it is better to take advantage of the opportunity.
Sometimes it is only you that can tell about the urgency of the situation. Check the price of the token that you are following and compare it with the gas fee that may incur during the transaction.
Is it worth to transfer now or just wait?

I don't think the fee will be lower. We've been paying a lot of money for fees for many years and opportunities like this have been coming in the last few weeks. The fee would be a bit difficult to decline further. If the number of transfers increases, then the prices will go up.
Sometimes it can be more profitable to wait, it is necessary to act according to the coin and amount you have :)

Lower transaction costs are not a good sign for the market and DEFI has also cooled down now. Cryptocurrency projects started to drop in price as the BTC.D domain increased. Bitcoin is sideways and that upsets traders. To conclude where the market is going, it is necessary to look at which pattern the Bitcoin chart breaks. Hopefully, we will continue to see Bitcoin rise and altcoins follow suit.

this is true, but bear in mind that Ethereum network is much more decentralized than BSC, and that has its own price, which is included through higher fees

IMO, with these fees level, BSC has lower chances to prosper, than when Ethereum fees were much higher in February and March, but BSC had their time during Q1 2021, and established themselves as good network, which is here to stay, nevertheless, I do not believe it is a Ethereum competitor on these fees level, we will see

Yes, actually every network that already exists on all platforms must be remembered and used when we need it, regardless of the comparison of cheap or high gas transaction fees, what is clear is that each network has its own advantages and disadvantages, only we as users must be smart in outsmart him, that's all.

Yep, of course, everyone must feel it, this shows that the devs care and are trying to reduce the very expensive fees due to the surge in transactions and even gwei users reach above 300 if I'm not mistaken.
Now we can feel the fees are quite cheap, for example doing a swap on a swap only costs 5$-10$ which can usually be above 30$/one transaction
I can remember Ether gas fees when it was hike last February, March.. It basically charges big for when we made withdraw, which put me down and upset. After Ether price dropping, it gas fees also drops significantly. Every dApps exchanges quite cheap nowadays, however need to maintain it.

It's true that Ethereum gas fees has decreased now compared to February and March, this is not because Ethereum developers lowered the gas fee.
But due to the influence of the falling Ethereum price, now Ethereum is down as much as 40% of the ATH price. This possibility is the cause of
Ethereum gas fees dropping. If the price of Ethereum recovers and rises again, there is a possibility that Ethereum gas fees will also increase.
I'm actually really looking forward to ETH 2.0 release soon, to ensure that Ethereum gas fees go down and can compete with BSC.

Gas fees really drop recently but did this only happen when the crypto market started dumping from their ATH. I remember when ethereum's price is at $4000, its fee is almost 200$. That is already a huge amount even for those who live in the US. Will the fee increase again once ethereum starts to rally again?

And since ethereum is the topic, can someone explain me in simple terms what will happen when eip 1559 is implemented? Does this something have to do with their high fees? I don't understand clearly what it says when I search about it on google.

As far as I know the EIP-1559 is a system that aims to burn ETH every time you make a transaction, so there may be a shortage of Etherium circulating in the future. I don't think it has anything to do with gas fees/high transaction fees on the network.

We all wanted a fair transaction cost. I do believe that small altcoins holders are the most affected during the high gas transaction fee. We cannot afford to do transaction due to not enough Eth to execute our plan to sell the token rewards. We all trust and looking forward for Ethereum to maintain low gas fee(we hope).
Yes, and now the fees on the ETH network are so low that you can put your plan into action to sell any coins in small amounts, and no need to whine like that because the developers at ETH always know what they need to do for development their platform.

Thats good news. I left dealing with Eth long ago because of its high transaction fees and started involving in wax blockchain because of its zero gas fee. Anyways now I will be able to play https://play.farsite.online/

Now we can make transaction at 5gwie under Ethereum blockchain. Hoping that it will continue and not go back again to a very high gas fee. Many people still use Ethereum even it has a lot of competitors. These development in ETH transaction fees will help to attract again many people to trust and use Ethereum.

good news gas costs now only 2$ and even then it's fast, when costs are low like this I immediately send all my tokens worth to an exchange that supports it,

why rush to do it?
I'm sure the situation will get better. because $2 for each transaction is still too big I think even though it's better. but look at how BSC and some other blockchain chains provide lower fees.
I'm sure it could be cheaper.

Of course this is good news, ethereum transaction fee should be no more than $1, high transaction fees will make people switch to another, another thing is transaction speed, I  ever sent ethereum and it took more than half a day to get 10 confirmations.

That is exactly the reason why we are not seeing anything suddenly dropping like crazy in the BSC world, binance is still holding strong and pancake is still getting a ton of volume, why? Because ethereum is still quite expensive compared to bsc, however that is still a fine deal.

I personally like bsc a ton more and I will keep using it even if the prices were equal (gas fee) because for some reason that looks a lot better polished and ready whereas erc20 ones are rarely any good, that is probably because all the talented ones started a project in BSC during this past 6-8 months because eth gas fee was high and now that it is a bit lower maybe there will be some good new ones there but for the time being there weren't all that plenty starting as erc20 tokens because it was such an expensive one. Let's hope that we will end up with more competition soon.

From my observations, the only way Ethereum gas fees can be lower than this $2 is when you make transactions at night/midnight, over here I would have to stay up till 2am or 3am to be able to do transaction that will cost lesser than $2, although I agree with you other blockchains offer lower gas fees, $2 is still high but its nothing compared to the crazy gas fees war we had during march, April and May, Ethereum needs to improve on this, a retail trader won't be happy to pay $2+ for every token transaction he makes.

I was just about to give this advice you provided. I believe it is mostly the activity of the American market that drives prices up really high, but you transact at the right times you can definitely have fees around $0.70 to $0.80. That finally feels reasonable and makes it also possible to transfer smaller amounts of alts from older accounts and so on.

It was totally unexpected that gas fee will drop in a manner that it did! I was thinking ethereum network would have to have a series of upgrade before we could start enjoying the low fee we were used to! It obvious that the high fee was man made and the amount of both needed and un needed projects contribute to the insane fee we had! Let's hope upcoming upgrade will help ethereum network to accomadate high traffic and more transaction on it's network!

Transaction fee below a cent is just impossible for ETH unless this coin go down to below $1K. you see with BNB each coin is $350 and with ETH it's 10x and expect it to go up even higher if the price keep going up as well.

that by far is the problem that frequently overseen by most of people, i personally hope that the coin to pay fee in ETH blockchain could be replaced by something else so the price could go up without even worrying about the small fries like us that
sends money in small amount getting eaten by the fee alone.

next network update will bring massive change in ethereum network fee. at this moment maybe network traffic drop hardly due volatility in crypto market., its good thing for us if ethereum gas fee could maintain in current value , so more people will use or back to eth platform again.

What kind of updates will be introduced? Sending Ethereum right now isnt costly, but sending Ethereum tokens still cost a lot. I hope this will be first thing they fix. At least make Ethereum token transaction cost be same or closer to Ethereum transaction cost. That is the only thing that bothers me. Transaction speed is more or less ok.

i am confidence to say it will . i am curios why lastest gas fee could drop sharply , meanwhile ethereum or ethereum token swap in decentralized exchanges still high. network developtment will be the key for ethereum blockchain , alot of ethereum community put their hope for it. once it realized we will see new all time high price in market.
maybe it can be said not but must, because this dilemma cannot be considered something small because we know that many are looking for other alternatives to avoid the high costs. even the project owner has done it. because they themselves have been affected until now because they can't do the distribution because the high cost is beyond their expectation.

but ethereum has tried to continue to improve but it is not easy as fast as desired because obviously there will be many obstacles that occur as well. but the intention to improve can already be seen and there is no harm in continuing to work hard because many see an opportunity to be able to replace that role, although it is not easy because of habit, but if ignored it might happen.

because the Ethereum network is not stable, sometimes Fees can go up again,
I myself saw some time ago when fees were only 11 gwei then a few hours later fees rose drastically to 150 gwei,

then fees will continue to be expensive due to network instability

The fees for last 15 days has been averaging for 10 gwei, which to some extent is similar to the largest competitor at the moment, BSC. This is indeed a great improvement in Ethereum blockchain and the hard work of the team is bringing the yield. We can see they are not stopping here and have one of the most active roadmap among popular coins. This is already more than I have expected considering how high the fees were just 3 months ago.

I haven't checked the statistics, but is this due to a decline in transactions in the network overall or are that improvements from any new updates? I am surprised how low the fees are now, but somehow Uniswap still charges a lot of you use their swapping service. Is there another, cheaper alternative based on Ethereum?

Due to low gas fees, Most devs are launching their project now in ETH instead of BSC. If ETH goes to full POS and the fees goes further down in the same level of BSC we can say it will be the end of BSC

it's not really an improvement since the current decrease of gas fee mainly caused by fewer transactions being made in the blockchain, we can only call it an improvement if the eth 2.0 succesfully increases ETH tps therefore making it more scalable and resilient against the overflowing traffic that ETH usually has since it's a smart contract blockchain that requires many transaction to be made to interact with the smart contracts.

I do not see any improvement made in the system to make the gas fees lower. I think it is resulted by the low number of transactions which takes place right now due to the market dip prevailing in last 4-5 weeks. If the market becomes stable and attracts more and more investors, there is a higher probability of gas fees getting increased.

The main reason for the ETH gas fee drop was because of the bearish market, the coin dropped about 50% of its ATH so I've been expecting this and lately making projects and companies switched from ETH block chain to bsc(binance smart chain) because of lower transaction fees.
Once the market recovers transaction fees will also increase in no time just seat back and watch.

It is look like miner now does not pick up higher fees first. Or maybe it is because many developer and dapps using second layer or move to BNB. Ethereum gas fees must be reduced to attracted retail transactions though. Any different though ?

And i dont think it is because eth 2.0, eth 2.0 is still not up yet the fees reduced already.

More on competition side for me, seeing that developers are moving to another chain ETH team needs to comes up with solutions,
and reducing the transaction fee is the very first thing to work on.

It's good for end users as they can enjoy the competition between BSC and ERC, they can easily choose between if which will
help them up and favor their investment.

This is exactly correct. All the upcoming updates are not aiming at reducing transaction fees on the Ethereum network. EIP 1559, the next one on the list, will hardly influence fees. The whole ETH 2.0 upgrade is about validator structures and POS. That has nothing to do directly with transaction fees. So the fact of the matter is that we will be dealing with excessive fees on the ETH network for quite some time. However, and this is important to note, the way Ethereum now gets set up puts it into a position that scalability can then very well be achieved step by step, it just won't happen as fast as we all would love it to.

Whenever the market volume increases, the ethereum gas fee also increases. The same happened today, and while you could transfer with 7-8 gwei, the prices went above 40 gwei.
It is normal to have these spikes when the network is busy, however, they should prevent this situation.

the gas fee went very low some couple of days ago which i was able to made transaction with 1$. since then it has been averagely moderate and sometimes it rises to about 7/8$. if you are not in a hurry to make transaction, you can wait for it to go lower to about 2-3$.

the situation is still unstable. but the transaction fee of 20-40 Gwei I think is good enough because the repair is quite long.
indeed still inferior when compared to their competitors BSC which is very cheap. but the decline that occurs can increase how ethereum token transactions can also increase.

Right. indeed Ethereum gas costs have fallen drastically. I think Ethereum gas costs can be said to have returned to normal and the developer has fixed it after many complains when Ethereum gas costs are high over the past year.

it would be better if the developer continues to try to reduce the cost of gas that many people complain about, so that they can continue to compete with other networks that are able to charge a fairly low cost. Healthy competition in the industry will certainly create something extraordinary, especially if the Erc20 network is able to handle the solution to the high cost of gas that many people complain about.

well, good effort from ethereum to keep the fees down. although the fee is not lower than BSC, but nowadays it seems that people don't pay much attention to ethereum anymore because the fee was once very high. I myself don't hold ethereum anymore because of the high fees a while ago. Yes, but the current low fee allows us to start making transactions using ERC20 coins again.

all development finally pays off. and crypto ERC traders I think have found a solution to the problem so far. transaction costs have been reduced to be cheaper. and I also don't expect and don't believe ethereum will keep its transaction fees as cheap as BSC. the current price I believe has made it comfortable for some traders.
although slightly more expensive for ERC token transactions than ETH transactions. but hopefully, there will be no more extreme increase in transaction fees.

Right now I am very happy with the ethereum transaction fees some days ago the transaction fees was at high level and I lose almost $150 but I am very happy right now to see the current gas fees.

It's true that Gwei for Ethereum is currently very low, currently on the web only 17,22 and 30 Gwei are listed if we compare it to BSC, of course it's very cheap for us to transact using BSC, and for some erc20 tokens the gas cost is still quite high though Gwei is already low, we can feel it when we transact with small amounts on Erc20, but if we transact Ethereum tokens it is indeed cheaper for now compared to the beginning of the year before Gwei was low.

It just goes up and down depending on the current time. I notice that during night time the gas fees are 200% much lower compare in the morning that's why i always do my ETH transaction during night time.

It's good to see Ethereum fee is getting reduced. Its good one can transfer their coins from one place to another with less fee but in the recent months, Ethereum fee was huge and small trader thinks twice before moving or selling their coins because they have to bear high transaction fees and a small investor can not bear huge transaction fee even I expect when EIP 1559 upgrade implements we will have to pay less fee as compare to now and it won't fluctuate too much but the whole picture will clear once upgrade implement on time next month.
