You can do it in this forum but you have to really do a good presentation and pitch because people in this forum is cheap and doesn't easily trust people who are asking money that they will allegedly use for their projects.

Usually crypto projects issue a token for their project (mostly ERC-20 / Ethereum or BEP-20 / Binance Smart Chain) and sell this token to both private and public investors (="the crowd") in exchange for other cryptos or even USD, thus funding their projects.

But as already mentioned, you need a good idea, a brilliant pitch and a lot of marketing to attract people.

I am interested. Do you have a white paper or some marketing material where I can learn more about this project?

You have weiFund, which is decentralized and open-source, cryptstart, and perhaps fundsurfer or bloomio (not sure about the last 2).

But it's true you have to be very good at introducing your project with a well prepared sales pitch, as well data to show that your project is worthwhile and sustainable.
Then it's a matter to market your campaign properly since money doesn't come from the sky as you know.
The equity model is an alternative

If you start a campaign it would be nice if you post it here. Otherwise PM me a link.

this might be interesting, and it would certainly be to your advantage if I shared here some basic details about the project itself.
For example, did you do detailed research about how is crypto regulated in your country. Law, taxes, limits etc...
Also, I guess you have some projection of how much money you need. Maybe you can collect it here on the forum unless it is an unrealistic amount.

1. Try contacting tech people and investors in your city/country
2. Meet up with them or talk to them through videochat
3. Pitch them your startup idea
4. If they like your idea, they'll invest in your startup

I know you probably want to do this online, but I could almost guarantee that it will be a huge pain in the arse.

you must really present the project you want to develop in detail and in detail, so that investors can be interested and invest in your project. Many crowdfunding sites are available, but in this forum it can also be done. You just need to create your own crowdfunding site.
the last is how to attract investors by doing promotions, making promotions that make people want to come to your project.

There are several crowdfunding websites available for use for the purpose of raising funds for new projects, but it all depends on what you are building and your marketing strategy, and also how big the fund you want for the development of your project, this platform (bitcointalk) is one of those platform and the advantage you have here is that you keep all the funds raised but then, getting people OK this platform to invest in your project, you really have to be top notch in your presentation here, first, you have to create an announcement thread of your project then from there, you will get to know what and what is necessary for a successful funding of your project.
You can also try other platform like polkadot, newly launched Tronpad, you can even do an IEO on a good exchange, but note all this require a rigorous kyc process which will take a lot of time before you are accepted and this is if you are Able to pass the kyc.

First of all, you need to create a reason why investors should choose your platform to invest there. No one will invest if you just say that you want to build an exchange. I think it better to present all of your plans on your website and create a native token that's how you could raise funds directly through your website. More batter is if you can sell through and exchange, but since you have a lack of funds it wouldn't happen. So better suggestions from my ends above. Prepare your whitepaper and roadmap and present it to crypto investors. But you should have sufficient funds to advertise your platform and spread the word. Otherwise, it's quite complicated to raise funds.

Does Bitcoin adoption high in Mozambique? Because I don't think there are many people in that country who have enough money to donate bitcoins.
But if you are targeting global fundraising, it is better to look for a transparent system or to ensure transparency for users and that all their donations will reach the required hands.

Crypto crowfunding Website is not a shine idea and they are many trusted normal crowfunding website.
also at some point you will need to exchange BTC to Local currency.

This would be only his shot because there's no way that he would really be getting some funding on here on just simply tell that he had some project
and wants some funding without even minding on sharing it up on what it is all about.

If this project do focuses more on locality then those suggestion given would be the best shot and for op where you shouldnt expect that you would be getting some funding on just simply telling you needed one.

This had been the most common problem of new project owners since trust would be the main issue on here

I agree with most people here. I think there is no other way than creating a good website describing your project/idea and growing a basic community on Twitter or another channel.
Once you gained at least a little bit of attention THEN you are getting interesting for "bigger" investors and they even might start contacting you if your idea is good enough.
That is what we are experiencing with our project at the moment.
