Ergo it gives about 162MH/S.

I  hope you are aware of the risk you are taking.The temperature I read is 73 degree celsius and if you keep mining during all day then the lifespan of your laptop will be a lot shorter than the predicted one.The laptops are not really made to mine although lately many people use them to do so.If you are only testing how mining looks to then build a desktop for mining that is great otherwise as I said you are taking great risks with you.

Hi mate, I am also using laptop 3070, but the stock hashrate only 54mhs on 72degree, will try to use your setting

Lock the voltage to the lowest possible. I have locked it at 700mV

Hi bro, your setting guide is awesome!; if mining ETH is getting 64.xxMhs, ERGO is getting from 150Mhs to 164Mhs, there is huge improvement! :)
But I tried on the setting 2 which is Core clock -502 and memory clock is +1414, the hashrate is still the same ETH 64.Mhs and Ergo 164Mhs.

Anyhow, it is great as finally got gang Pro like you to guide and use laptop to mine as current GPU 3070 standalone price and get 1 laptop 3070 same price in my country.

BTW, how to lock the voltage as the core voltage is grey which unable to amend at all.

How is this better than RTX3070 desktop version? Because the desktop version can do 61MH too at even lesser power draw of 117 watts, isn't that beautiful? The only thing you have to be worried about us temperature, a laptop with rtx3070 mining 24hrs every day will worn out pretty quick

I also have RTX 3070 mobile but see how I managed to tune it to be (probably) the most energy efficient GPU on Earth

How much is the cost of your laptop OP? In my country a laptop with rtx3070 onboard costs over 2000$ where as it's same with a desktop RYX3070 too but buying two laptops with gtx1660 ti reduced the money alot cos I can get that for around 750$ each

Cost is same in my country as well $2k.

Efficiency wise RTX 3070 laptop would be better.

This is crazy and laughable, to get 60+ MH you spend 2000$ ? God damn I will never do such, I got my gtx1660 supers at 430$ and two of this gives me 64MH per second, that's 860$ mate, 2000$ for 64MH? Hell NO

Well I got my 1660S GPUs at less than $300 a piece. So there's that...

This is a gaming + mining laptop. So I'm not worried about ROI on this one as this serves the purpose well.

ONly rich can do that such thing, As far as i know, laptop with RTX 3070 is about to range the price of 1800usd plus and morethan that it depends on the brand of the laptop, Laptop cannot handle the heat of its gpu while you begin to use it in mining, even the open case mining rig can reach up to 80c of heat, and that the GPU has a triple fan plus the cooler comes from industial fan, How come that laptpp with a small ventilation survive from heat cause by intense usage of gpu. Just think morethan twice :)

It's more than 1800$ unless you go with non gaming dedicated laptops and they have bad cooling, anyways if a gamer has one of this laptops he can make money out of it but literally buying laptops to mine ETH is a waste of money

I am mining with laptop 3070 , hashrate around 64,.xxmhs, the Vram Hotspot temperature is avg on 83degree for 24hours non-stop; It is efficiency and current desktop 3070 is sky high, the laptop 3070 somehow is cheaper than single GPU 3070 itself!

I dont mind if the mining cause the laptop faulty as my intention is to mining, let see 3yrs warranty will cover it if really come to me !

For your information mate 83°C is too hot, that's high temperature you are gambling on here, find a way to lower some things to get the temp under 75°C or cry later for ruining the life of your precious laptop

Well that's a given since the mobile version is a downclocked version of the desktop card. That being said, are you sure you can earn the ROI before your laptop dies? Not sure about the warranty either, if the seller or manufacturer know you use it for mining, maybe it will be a bit difficult to claim. Well, good luck though. I've seen a lot of people doing this, including scalpers.

Ok so there is a bummer now...

ASUS released a new vbios update for my laptop model and looks they locked the max OC to +300 on memory. Not sure if that's a bug or was intentional.

My hashrate is stuck at 56MH/S @107W now.

Bro, affecting me too. After your post, i just find out we could use winflash to roll back, i yet to try but most of the asus laptop users feedback are working, i will try it after :)

After i tried few aproaches but not success to OC + 300above, below the steps I have tried, perhaps someone can try other methods and do not need to repeat:

1. Rollou back the Bios from version from 319 to 315 (Need to go System firmware to disable system bios will restart PC will System will auto goto UEFI to request Bios update), OC memory still only +300.
2. Reunistall the Nvidia display software version to older, OC memory still only +300

But will okay with stick at 55mhs rather than half cut of it

Did BIOS "update" automatically or did you install it. If it goes automatically then we are all f...ed

it is automatically, in order to stop this, u have to go device manager to disable to system firmware update if yours yet to happen.

It's not the motherboard bios that ruined it. It was the vbios for 3070 laptop card. If there is a way to revert it to what came with the laptop initial, problem will be solved.

You need to disable this in MyAsus application.

Yes I was able to flash the vbios to msi leopard 3070.

But this will void the warranty.

My 4x 3080 palit gamerock (uglyest card ever  ;D) gives 96,2 mhs on eth - phoenix miner with consumtion 155-165w. Thats i think is the best result i got so far.Others 3080 i have go from 205-230w same hs.

I realy wonder do you get rejected shares on 64mhs cause on most my 3070 and 3060ti cards i get stable 59mhs with all good shares and 110-130w consumption.

Follow these steps:

Save your original bios .rom file using gpuz.

Extract the nvflash and save the msi .rom file in the extracted folder.

Run CMD in Admin mode and navigate the the nvflash folder.

Use  nvflash -6 229426.rom to flash it.

Please be very careful while doing this.

No rejected share with 64.xx MHs/S. This laptop version seems more efficient than the desktop but only true for daggerhashmito I guess, as other algos uses more power.

Can we flash back the stock vbios in future if we want ?

BINGO this was what I thought, I run my rtx-3070's at 60C; I get about 52MH, I don't over-clock, they cost me $250 each last summer, now they cost $2k are not replaceable, I sure as hell ain't going to kill them.

Anybody that runs on a enclose laptop, that isn't  submersive liquid cooled is nutz, laptops can't dissipate the heat, I'm surprised this thing isn't running above 90c

Go for it dude, over-clock, and don't come crying when you destroy your brand new laptop.

What kills GPUS? Dirt, lint, dust, & heat.

Over-Clocking is heat, frequency is proportional to energy, I run my RTX-3070's at no more than 100Watts, think about that, I would never run my GPU's above 120 watts, that is death; Never run sustained about 70C, I have all my miners on hard shutdown at 72C.

I run my GTX-1070 at 80watts, and my gtx-1060's at 60 watts, and I get full MH.

Heat kills Gpus.

I quit 'mining' on laptop Nvidia gpus some 6+ years ago. Overheating, not designed for sustained mining, just gaming.

Did you also try the msi rom file? It worked for me.

Try on MSI rom also same error message Board ID mismatch. i saw someone say need to download board mismatch crack only can flash, but 1 of them afer flash , cannot see nvdia GPU anymore.... i think instop at 55mhs! anyjow, tks for ur guidance, running smooth and especially voltage lock for watt and temperature, tks!!!
