There are too many adverse developments going on . Many conspiracy theories point to an impending war. I still hope it just stops at the ideological struggle between countries.

The known and talked conspiracy theories are really far from what a conspiracy theory is, a real one isn't over the top like lizard people in flesh suits. It's more subtle, designed to be ignored by the population even if they see it everyday. I think that we are on a tipping point to be honest a lot of tensions with scarcity of resources but we don't have to worry too much about it because governments try their best to avoid a full scale war.

Many economists already stated that China started the world war III with the help of Bio weapons aka covid 19, even well developed countries were facing the economic problems and it will take years to regain the position they were in before covid 19 while China will continue to progress and reach the most super power of this world.

I still think that conspiracy theories will only be stories but should not be taken lightly. covid 19 is a pandemic that is disrupting the economy of the whole world, ruining the lives of billions of people, I still hope that it is a disease from nature, not a man-made weapon.

... And after 3, four? After 4, five? Sighs...

Truth remains that there won't be any such thing as 3rd world war. That's my thought, anyway. Well, may be the war won't be in the form or style of the previous wars fought. I think, if anything, it will be a war indirectly fought, a kind of proxy war. I don't think the world powers will directly go against one another. We saw how the US and Russia had their combat using Syria as a test ground and what happened in other engagements. The sad truth is that when such wars are fought, the engaging world powers benefit from it through their sales of arms and ammunition while innocent masses die in their millions.


So, you think it's going to be a biological war (if at all there will be a war)? And the epidemic Corona virus is it? Well, as hilarious as that sounds; I can't completely say it doesn't make sense to think in that direction anyway.

Using the bullets are not going to destroy any government because every government has their own military force to tackle this so the only way is to destroy the enemy and colonize them with the name of establishing the companies, the old traditional method but in the form of new way.

Various agencies from US claims that they are collecting the proofs about the origin of covid and most of them says it was leaked from the viralogy lab located in Wuhan and also now there are some evidences that workers from that lab were got treatment for a disease in the third quarter of 2019 itself which is similar to the covid 19.

Most of the conspiracy theories that we get to witness nowadays are not even close to the real problems we are facing. The real problems are already in front of our eyes and are still continuing to ignore to this day. These are the problems that can really lead us to another world war. As to when, my guesses are only as good as the other people's. But what's certain is that it will surely come one way or another if the world continues to ignore these visible problems along with the unsolvable ones that are bringing the world to its knees already.

Globalisation has meant that national economies are inextricably intertwined nowadays. It's particularly true of the more powerful nations; they can't harm their 'enemy' without causing huge harm to themselves. Take the US vs China as an example. I think the chances of major nations entering direct war against one another is remote. At worst we'll see cyber-warfare, proxy wars in other arenas, and a lot of posturing and PR.

When there is an opposition between the two countries and each country takes the form of a world war to protect their economy. In world war I the jews thought that joining hands with the enemy was one of the reasons for germany's defeat his anger against the jews manifested itself on the eve of world war II allies claim to have wiped out 6 million jews in germany's gas chambers. There is no doubt that the number has been increased in order to gain the sympathy of the people of the world for the jews but how terrible world war III will be will depend on their scenes.

We have had many unconventional wars and it seems that many do not realize it, there is asymmetric wars that have happened.

Many want to see missiles flying from one side to another, or typical confrontations, in fact how many active wars are there? ...is not sufficient!!

It's still a conspiracy theory that they say the virus comes from Wuhan, China. The Chinese have their own theory as well which the virus comes from Fort Detrick, Maryland where the US military has a lab. Now they also have the Alien invasion theory. It's funny because theorists as well seems to look at it like the US will militarize the space.

But Trump started the Trade War already. It's probably the US vs China war that will ignite it all. US has 800 military bases all over the world, China only has one which is in Africa.

The most modern form of war these days is Biological warfare and covid-19 could be one form it. You can well imagine who a virus can easily kill thousands of people and no country is to blame for destruction.

I hope that there's no WW3 or any war that will deal a lot of damage to the places near the ground. As you have mentioned about conspiracy theories. The other I've read is that the biological warfare has started for the economic war between these two big countries everybody knows. Well, that's a conspiracy that I've just read when I'm searching for these common conspiracy theories.

COLD WAR is not a world war for non of the countries "DECLARES" war towards the other unlike in world war 1 and 2. Ergo, it is not considered as a "WORLD WAR!"

There are many war and struggles happening globally right now and it seems to be an indication for something big. Though I really think that it would start in the "West Philippine Sea" where right now, many ships from western countries are coming to protect the islands inside the EEZ of the PHILIPPINES which are currently claiming by China as of the moment.

technically the "global war on terror" was WW3. Coalition of governments. Modern war is psychological.

It is taking place right now.

Look at the development at Pacific area. The US Air Force is moving their strength to anticipate a war with CCP.
If the war with CCP become inevitable, this can spread to other countries.

The cold war didn't end in both countries nuking each other, but I'm afraid CCP is crazier than USSR.

I don't think we will see another world war. The problem is first of all that too many countries have nuclear weapons. If for example USA and Russia would go to war with each other the whole world could die to nuclear fall out. There are two types of war I expect we will see in the future, the first being proxy wars like in Ukraine, and the second one would be economic trade wars.

Political leaders around the world have been using war analogies and metaphors ever since the pandemic started. It's not really a good idea. They are instilling fear in the populace, they are implying that a massive death toll is an inevitability, they are promoting a sense of hopelessness and a thing that we just have to see through, instead of protecting medical personnel sufficiently they are simply calling them heroes, as if they need to sacrifice themselves... and so on. And through it all, they are glorying in the drama. Trump kept calling himself a 'wartime president'. Boris Johnson in the UK is impersonating Churchill. It's absurd and self-indulgent. Of course the pandemic is a serious situation that merits serious action, that needs to be taken seriously, but to dress it up as a war is nonsense.

What a disturbing subject title for a thread! I mean, its really sad to even imagine it or have a reason as to why this could be a possibility in our world. I've never thought of it even once and then, here it is 'world war 3'. I guess you @OP haven't witnessed what war really is to have been thinking of this. I for one wasn't around during the world wars 1&2 but have tested some inter tribal wars in my locality and that shit isn't nice nit to talk of a world war. Where internal trades would be halt, there would be scarcity of food and everyone would have a troubled lifestyle. Not knowing what the next country has instated for them. Naaaahhhhh,I can't imagine it and really hope it never becomes a reality.

Exactly we are in the middle of it. People think bullets must fly to have a war, those times are gone. This time round the "enemy" is so small no-one ever has seen it.

I think the world war 3 will not take place anytime soon despite the disagreement between the two big countries,because taking a flashback on what happened during the world war 2,where millions of people died and how properties were lost.The two nations will not want to loose such lives again.They will rather dialogue and settle peace.

Yeah, it's either proxy war in the middle East or Ukraine, where American equipment fights soviet equipment on the other side. Or the big economic wars, like the trade war between China and USA. I don't think we will see another confrontation like WW1 or WW2 where Million of people fought against each other. Technology is just too advanced, its all about drones and rockets now. Not the human soldier anymore.

     Luckily my friend, you can just relax and put yourself at ease since the big powerhouse countries aa of this moment are equally capable of destroying the world which is why fear for irreversible aftermaths take over more than the petty reasons they have to get into war. So until one side really goes crazy and starts firing nukes out of the blue, there will never be a world war 3. The most that they would probably be doing to each other is to try and piss the hell out of each other..

If you are still thinking of third world war and when it's going to occur, maybe you should think no more cause many of the world power countries are not even ready to take the dangerous adventure into consideration. War is a very severe conflict where the both parties that is involved will be detrimentally affected.

No nation is ready to forfeit her economy for conflict that will jeopardize her interest and relationship with other countries without thorough consideration.
