Please advise which one is best. Which one is more profitable? Crypto trading or Forex trading?

It's like asking "which is more profitable? selling fruits or vegetables?".

Both can work(assuming you actually know how to trade in the first place), which is "better" and "more profitable" will just completely depend on the trader. On which asset characteristics will you be better at trading. High volatility vs low volatility, swing trading vs scalping, etc.

Both crypto trading and forex trading are very risky, they are both ways many people are losing, but the experts are using it to make money, the experts are few while the losers are many. It depends on how expert you are, both are risky and can be profitable. Also, use low leverage, the profit can be low, but the chances of losing high amount is low while your margin is low. You will have to choose one and study about it very well, or you can study the two and later choose one. You may even later like the two is you go patiently.

It depends on how hard you learn in crypto trading or forex trading.
If you often learn about crypto trading, I think you will understand much about crypto trading, which can help you make more profit.

I do not know forex trading, but that does not mean I am an expert in crypto trading because I still need more about crypto trading.

Crypto market and Forex market are very different obviously.

Profitability depends on how well you know the market. Even in low volatility markets, if a trader is skilled and experienced enough to know opportunities and when to grab them, they usually come out on top and get lots of profits. Both could give you huge opportunities to get a lot of profits, too. At the end of the day it all comes down to preference on which asset are you more comfortable trading with and how versed you are on that certain market.

Skepticism aside though coming back to point, comparing two modes of speculative trading will never yield an absolute answer. Ask the same question on a forex trading forum you will get answers biased to forex, ask that in a crypto forum like this one you will get answers biased to crypto.

It is a choice of previous experience and knowledge. If someone is experienced in forex and has been doing it for the last 15years, they would hardly move to crypto and start anew. Although that could be a fruitful venture, but the age progression of humans make them less conducive to learning new things and therefore they will likely not be able to profit from it.

Both are profitable and both can bring huge losses. If you havent done either, then look for the one where you currently have more knowledge in.

Forex is more of a gamble as they say but that's just the same in cryptocurrencies for altcoins that you don't know.

But if you're knowledgeable in crypto, you're on the right market and the advantage of it, there will be no people telling you in forex to HODL. But if you're also skilled and experienced in forex, you'll earn the same as you earn in crypto.

Whilst in bitcoin, you're fine and relax to HODL.

And like comparing forex and crypto as fruit and vegetable, vegetables is more volatile than fruit,,, spoils faster so needs to be traded quicker (again talking like a trader not a hodler).

People forget they need to set their expectaions and wants first. Like you said, they need to know if they want fast/slow trades? Short/long term?

Forex is fun because they can even earn interest overnight too for some people.

There are some altcoins you can hold and also get profit but there are also many shitcoins, if you hold bitcoin for long time, you will gain from it. But the OP is not talking about holding, he is talking about trading, trading and holding are not the same, that which is the best between crypto or forex trading. Spot trading is not like gambling, but high leverage trading can be more of gambling irrespective of the coin you are using. I prefer crypto trading but I have friends that also gain from forex, it depends on the level of knowledge and experience, following the rules and managing risks.

From my point of view, there is no comparison, you can never earn as much on the forex market as on the crypto market. That is as black and white. And cryptomarket is definitely much more interesting and profitable. 90% of brokers who offer forex trading are simply scammers. You have direct access to crypromarket and you don't need to be between people like these scammers

I think you know the answer to that question deep in your heart and this forum is obviously biased for the right reason. Forex needs a lot of money plus it's really hard to predict the prices that only moves in 1 digit so it will be a no brainer that crypto trading is much better than forex trading.

If you dont like volaitlity then stick with Forex trading but if you do like huge price swings then stick with crypto, its your choice!

Well, I can tell you for free that crypto trading is better. The reason being because of the volatility as it generates more moves than what we have with Forex Trading. The only pairs that come close to crypto moves in FX are Gold and Dragon (which is GBP/JPY). You will smile if you're on the winning side of either of those trades. However, what should matter to OP most is how to acquire the skill sets for trading. From the way that question is asked, it's obvious that the OP hasn't a full grasp of the rudiments of trading. My advice will be for OP to focus on learning the profession than concentrate first on making money from it.

You're right. His question is very subjective and relies on the trader himself. If you are a new crypto user, I don't think it is smart idea to go into crypto trading with a lot of money. You will lose your funds if you don't know what you are doing in crypto. But if you are already knowledgeable with forex trading, I would say, this will be profitable for you. Crypto trading needs time, experience to learn how these alts are performing in the market. There's no easy way how to learn this market. Better start small when you still new in crypto trading, and learn the ins and outs first.

Actually, both crypto trading and Forex trading have advantages and disadvantages. Depends on which one we are more comfortable with.
because both in my opinion are very worth doing. But because I want bigger and faster profit, for now I'm more focused on crypto trading.
Indeed I admit with very volatile prices are more risky, but as long as we can analyze the market properly, it should be safe to do.

From the little experience am having cryptocurrency and forex are kind of risky which I believe you can easily lose your money there. But from the little experience am having I really believe in Cryptocurrency than forex but forex is more profitable than cryptocurrency and more risky than cryptocurrency. Crypto and forex trading both has their own style. Some people will love Crypto and some forex. Crypto might be not legal arround the world but forex has some legality. Crypto runs 24×7, forex runs only 5 day in week. Forex trading is just like future trading style where your money can be liquidated if your trade is going against you but in crypto it is easier to hold for any period of time. Forex need a good amount to avoid liquidation but in Crypto you can do trade with any amount of money. Forex can be a risky trade with their lot allotment. So for me Crypto trading is much better then forex

I think crypto trading is more profitable because even with some little experience a hodler can buy some coin and hodl for certain period  while selling at high earn some profit whereas such an opportunity is not possible in forex trading,
Moreso in forex trading a trader must be well informed in term of fundamental news plus TA  which can make or mar the price volatility, whereas in crypto trading if BTC/ USD is in bearish sentiment thus a lot of shorting options will avail itself in other crypto/USD  pairs likewise in a bullish sentiment, all these is not attainable in forex.

Holding and still profit through it is the most advantageous way to make money in crypto which is not on Forex market. Today, there is nothing that you couldn't do in crypto that isn't in the forex market. Hodling is just an option while he's trading. While most of us loves to hold bitcoin, I'm just giving him the idea that everyone who owns bitcoin is doing it for long term.

In my opinion both are difficult to compare which one is better because it really depends on the ability or knowledge of the trader. It would be better to gain knowledge about trading first after that start it and remember that trading is not only about profit but also losing.

Both of them applies the same principle in trading and investments, it is just that Forex is Fiat while crypto is crypto. Though they have this known characteristics where crypto is known to be volatile while forex is somehow not (or just not known) so if you consider this. Profits, both could be profitable but if there is really a need to choose then I pick Crypto. Again, because of volatility. You just have to know what you are doing and make your prediction accurate with recent news and updates about what's going on.

As the above mate, one who have used to cryptocurrency trading experiencing forex earlier will never think of going back to forex. With forex trading the risk is minimal, as is the profit. With cryptocurrency trading the risk is high, to that will be the profiting and losses. I will ask you to research more about "what is trading". It's because, if you are well familiar with trading then you can choose yourself which is better. To honest, it fully depends on your experience. For example, I am not well familiar with forex trading, so it's hard for me. Doesn't matter it's profitable or not, because I can't make a profit from here since I am not experienced there. On the other hand, I am well familiar with crypto-currency trading and WI can make money here. So eventually I will support cryptocurrency trading. It's possible to recover your loss in crypto, but for forex, it's not easy to recover.

I think they are both good as long as you can understand how they work properly. Forex trading has been around for a long time and is well established, therefore it is more of skill based. But, you will notice that a lot of will choose crypto trading over forex trading, and that’s because you can make more profit from trading cryptocurrencies than you will from forex trading.

You can also make huge profit from forex trading, but in cryptocurrency you can make that profit very well and also very fast, because of how fast the market is. So in my opinion, crypto trading is a better option to go with.

High volatility is good for day traders! Who finds some patterns can make money every day! Of course, this is one of those things that are easier to be said than done! Where are chances for high profit there is also a risk from losing what you have, one doesn't go without the other!

So what is more profitable?! I guess trying both and learning both will bring you closer to the answer to what is more profitable for you and your set of skills!

We should really not compare this one as both market generates income and losses. The reward of your trading activities will always depend on your strategy, on any market you can create money but the real question is, are you capable to do so? If not, then better to learn more before choosing between this two, your knowledge are more important.

In my opinion crypto trading on the spot market is lower risk than forex trading, because forex trading actually trading with use margin /leverage. I did trading forex for more than 4 year, but its really hard to earn profit consistently. But from crypto trading on spot market, I did make huge profit only for holding by longterm. Traders are more successful in spot markets such as stocks and crypto compared to the margin forex trading.

You didn't put any stop-loss at all? It really risky too for me even you are doing spot trading without any proper way of trading especially considering the volatility of cryptocurrency.

It all depends on what you are good at and what suits you more. You cannot expect a painter to innovate and can't ask an engineer to paint. None of them is better than the other it is all about what suits you.

For me, I have never done Forex trading seriously so I don't know how profitable it is but I have been into crypto trading for years and I can easily tell you that while it's volatile and risky it also gives you massive earning opportunities given that you are wise enough to recognize and make trades properly. If you have a good ability to analyze projects then you should do altcoins trading and if you know nothing about them, the best way to earn is just by holding and selling at a higher price, buy at a dip/correction and repeat.

Both are profitable if you know what you are doing.

Where to start? Gaining knowledge. You can spend time first learning one of them then proceed to another one. No need to go technical, just basic information enough. Then while you are studying, you can picture out slowly what suits you.

@mk4 said it all, trading is trading, be it forex or crypto, you the poster just have to find out which you love best, personally, I might prefer trading Forex over crypto, but this does not necessarily or generally mean trading Forex is better or more profitable than crypto, different things work differently for different peeps, my like is someone's hate and my hate is someone else's like, thats just how life is, that I havnt made as much money from trading Forex as I've made from trading crypto does not mean it's like this for every one else, someone somewhere is definitely making so much money from Forex trading far more than they make from crypto.

I thought the same.  When a long-term investor, stop loss must still be applied, especially in bearish times like this.  If the stop loss is not done, the current loss may be 50%.  Crypto is indeed a profitable investment for risk takers, but if you are not good at implementing strategies, you are ready to experience big losses.  It looks easy by buying a coin that you like to make a profit, but if you are not careful then what initially promises can be very painful when you lose.

Yeah, but I would say that since Forex exists for much longer than Bitcoin does, there are more chances of earning in crypto trading than in forex trading. Anything that's relatively new to the others has higher chances of earning as compared to a saturated market.

If you have massive capital, I would suggest going with forex because the profits are low but stable once you learn it.

These are 2 very distinct market that operates on different platforms. Though to some extent, one incorporates the other and that is forex as, you can trade crypto on forex but it ain't nothing like crypto trading. I'll explain;

Forex incorporates cryptos as a commodity but then, the cryptos on the forex market are not an asset of value just like the regular cryptos we trade on exchanges and save in various wallets avial to us. Its value doesn't increase or decrease but then, the increase or decrease in value of cryptos determines the direction of the market for a forex trader where as, in
Crypto trading, every coin is an asset and its value is subject to change based on market conditions and it stands as an asset of value, owning them.

In case you are really good at it, both will be good. But if me i will focus on 1, not because this is crypto forum, but some of my friends said that learning forex trading is not simple like when you're in crypto. In crypto you have spot, if your analysis is not correct you can hold your coins and not considered lose if you not sell your coins yet. With that simple thing i pick on learning crypto trading.

Both are profitable and it is just up into you whether you will just choose one or have both. Finding your own path is a must thing because if you do things which is out of your passion or goal would be entirely be different not like if you do engage with things

It's just like when you are asking about the differences between dollars and pounds, they're both currencies that are used for exchange. The word Forex means Foreign Exchange. It's the most volatile market in world that worth more than 2 trillion dollars. So any market that deal with exchange of financial instruments is Forex.

Learning how to trade forex is just like learning how to trade crypto but with little differences. Crypto is an online currencies which are use for exchanges the same way we use fiat. Once you are good in trading general, i believe you would have little or less to learn about crypto cause they're both currency with different forms.

I know a lot of forex traders who also trade crypto due to there exposure and techniques in which they use. So the ball is in your court to decide what to trade be it forex or crypto as a newbie.

I always go for Crypto .Its high volatile market and huge chance to get return than Forex .I think crypto is the best market for all trader who are expert on trading .Its so easy to get profit here if you know the market behave welly .I have lost many funds on Forex but after starting to trade on crypto i have recovered my all funds .That's why i think crypto is more profitable than Forex .

There is a good thing and very sad thing when you compare the two. Bitcoin is not any nations currency, it is our currency and when it goes up we are very happy, it doesn't even require dollar to go down in power, dollar could be very powerful and gain value (which rarely ever happens) but bitcoin could go up even more.

However when you do forex that means you are doing it between two nations currency and if you make a profit that means one of the nations gained more power economically while the other one lost it. That is why there is something great about crypto, but a very sad thing about forex. Yes, while before forex was the way to trade and make money now crypto has become the avenue to increase the speed of making money from trading by several times. I feel like forex trading is way more streamlined which means that poeple have been trading it for many years now, so the strategies and the way to act and make decisions based on indicators and news are all in place and you can acces it  and start making profit by just folllwing some traders, but the cryptocurrency is a bit tricky and hard to predict and i feel that is due to the decentralization because there is not way to control it but also the crypto market yields far more profit that the forex, it is high risk high reward.

Both cryto and forex share the same market analysis either the both can be analyzed fundamentally and techically. What you should be more concerned about is acquring the skill first. It all depends on habits, mastery and expertise in their respective fields and both will be said to be better with their respective habits and also mutually beneficial depending on how we use them, especially freedom, security and comfort.
Another difference that I find more comfortable with is that bitcoin was developed with the idealism that good currency is not controlled by governments and central banks, governments that people believe are governed by different intentions usually only work for personal gain, so. Financial decisions are always on the side of the strong.

After the things that must be learned from both, both are the same as trying fate or luck in it. Commitment and self-confidence are needed, ask yourself if you are more prepared for crypto or forex, you are more familiar with crypto or forex, you should prefer things that already have basic knowledge.
My advice is basically don't push yourself too much and don't hesitate to aim, and I think it's more interesting and has more opportunities on crypto, with various coins that can be trade in it.

Profitability from your trading is definitely not market dependent but your skills. I have experiences in trading stocks, commodities, forex and cryptos and in my opinion, everything is almost same in terms of risks and reward ratio but bitcoin is somehow different than any other asset due to unique characteristics like halving and limited supply. If you are capable of exploiting those unique things of bitcoin then bitcoin trading will be definitely highly profitable for you than forex or any other trading.

But, long term holding can be profitable for everyone and that is what exactly I tried to convey to OP. I always strongly suggest all traders to get into long term holding rather than struggling with active trading. Long term holding of bitcoin is simple and effective way of easy profit making method but I am not seeing not all people are preferring it.

well the topic is about trading but no doubt that holding is easier , less hassel and can be more profitable than in trading if we can hodl for a long time but what can we do when some people prefer to trade than in hodling .
 that could be their pasion and they got easily bored in hodling . in crypto we have btc and btc can be good in both trading or hodling but i dont think stocks can be good as that

From my point of view i will go for crypto trading because crypto trading don't loss your all money but in forex trading you will loss you all trading money in one night so without knowing good knowledge don't go for forex trading. And main thinks is that crypto will give much overnight but forex trading not to do it.

I did both, for crypto trading I try to understanding the cycle of trend of market so that I get best time to enter and quit from the market. And for the crypto trading, I prefer doing long term trading, buy some good coins and hold it for 1 year or more. So my goal from crypto is to make multiple profit for duration 1 or 2 years. And for the forex trading, I did day and swing trading and my goal here is to gain monthly profit about 10%-20%. Both actually has the same level risk, the point is how to manage that risk to be lower.

Because this is a apples vs oranges comparison. One who has already put years into something will not look for another method if they are well versed in the first one. The different between crypto spot trading with forex leverage trading is, in crypto we can make multiple profit but not possible to make it for every year but the probability to gain it only every 3-4 year. But in forex trading, we have probability to gain monthly profit about 5% to 30% amonth. For the better we do both, so we have difersification risk.

I'd never find a huge difference between crypto and forex trading because the chances of losing all our money can happen to both of them. If you have knowledge in crypto trading, you can still apply to forex trading. Risk, profitability, losses, it will matter on you, not because we use this one and this one. I feel, there is a risk in both as market is volatile. I have tried both but now I am finally into trading crypto currencies. I dont feel investing on Forext / share markets. The main thing I like in crypto is, there is no expiry dates for any crypto currencies. You can peacefully hold the coins as long as you see a good profit. Yes its very risky and there's no market that it is risk free or something easy that you could deal with.It would always be needing that kind of risk taking and skills for you to sustain yourself even lets say that Forex is
not too volatile but since it do move its price with certain scale then you could still possibly lost your capital although in crypto it is much more faster on the sense since its way too volatile.

You can trade only one currency pair, looking to score 10 pips a day. If you can do that like 80% of the time, you could then raise the risk and reward of these 10 pips to a total of 1k per trade, 10k per trade 100k per trade, it doesent matter. You could also learn how Elliot or Wyckoff traded the markets and have 10 trades a day with a RR of 1:10, loos 7 of them, win 3 of them and still raise your risk per trade after some time.

Its all perspective. And passion. If you come for the money only, you will be gone soon. Hard lesson I learned and paid a lot to learn this.

Forex or crypto trading has the same profit as long as we can know how to do good analysis and good management, and are supported by good skills.  So I think it's a personal choice.  I myself prefer crypto as a new thing because I feel bored with forex.

I personally like crypto trading. I have tried both but the best i would choose is crypto. Opened an account in fiat exchange and tried it for few months. But I did not find more benefits out of it. But the same time and amount was spent on crypto. I could make a good profit and yes I am really comfortable in it. Can hold back the coins. More over I personally attached to crypto as it really helped me when i was in crucial situation.

I want to jump Forex trading and cryptocurrency trading are test-related, if you know how to trade Forex, you can also trade with cryptocurrency. But regarding the best advice, my opinion is definitely cryptocurrency. After all, cryptocurrency is quite volatile and a lot of new projects are launched, in which you can get a decent profit.

It was because you don't understand how Forex trading is done. You don't have an interest in forex as you are in crypto, that of course, it affect our minds, and just like you, Crypto trading is also my preferred. But for sure, they are having similarities, Buy Low and Sell High still as its common used by all traders. But since we are already familiar with the crypto market and also its behavior, it was easy for us to make an analysis and make a trade.

For forex trading experts, you should enjoy yourselves if you're too effective in that market but no one stops you guys to also study and learn the crypto market.
