i want to start chia coin mining with HDD can any one tell me chia mining with Hdd is profitable or not now a days?

Search for chia calculator online mate you will see the result yourself but mind you pool mining isn't available yet so it will be extremely hard to solve a block by yourself unless you have 250TB farming for you on solo

Official Chia pools are not available yet, you can expect to start in few weeks, but we have 2 options right now:

Mining solo, you need to have a good amount of HDDs to mine, you can check here https://chiacalculator.com/
According to calculator, to mine at least 2 XCH monthly, you need to have 100Tb with the total network space of 18 EiB, and everyday this number is increasing

Mining with Hpool, this is not the official pool, but you can mine here, and this is a calculator  https://hpoolchiacalculator.com/
I don't know how much TB you have, but to make at least 1 withdraw a month 0.1XCH you need to have at least 10Tb

Now you can do your math to see if it's worth or not
And remember, these plots of mining solo you can use to mine with Hpool, but will not be usable for official pools
Network space are increasing at a huge pace, it's hard

Do you have the Disk drives with huge space already or are you planning to buy them and start mining.

If you planning to buy them, then It will be quite risky, I suggest you be very careful investing your money into lots of space as the Disk drive prices have already spiked (https://blocksandfiles.com/2021/05/18/chia-bitcoin-disk-prices/) and there have been shortages in other place (https://gadgets.ndtv.com/internet/news/bitcoin-chia-hard-disk-shortage-asian-markets-cryptocurrency-power-consumption-green-alternative-2453792)s... More like how you see the current GPU crisis due to ETH mining.

For a coin which was worth $1,600 in mid May and now worth just $650. I would say you really have to do so calculations before you decide. The choice is yours, but personally, i wouldn't bother especially if I was to buy the drives from scratch.

Search for chia calculator you will see that even 100TB won't get you anywhere and to buy 100TB you will be spending thousands of dollars, it's better to use that money to build GPU mining rigs even if bear market do comes you will still be in profits
