Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: crwth on June 07, 2021, 09:56:08 AM Maybe you can try another data from another exchange in TV?
I believe some exchange data could be limited to the time it was listed or something. Are you looking for a specific coin pair to chart? Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: BitMaxz on June 07, 2021, 10:50:38 AM TradingView is widely used but you can try this alternative below.

Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: tbct_mt2 on June 08, 2021, 09:43:31 AM If you have a script for your strategy, you can use it to run back test on Trading view. If you can code, you can do back-testing.

Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: lixer on June 09, 2021, 04:46:38 PM I don't quite have the technical knowledge but whenever I have something new on my mind I try it out in the demo accounts at trading platforms. It gives me a clear idea of how successful the strategy is going to be and whether it is worth risking with real money.
If you have a script for your strategy, you can use it to run back test on Trading view. If you can code, you can do back-testing. But he said TV can't do it, see the post just above yours :)Backtest a TradingView strategy between a start and end date (https://kodify.net/tradingview/date-time/backtest-between-dates/) I am part of a few telegram groups where some expert traders talk and I will try and get an answer from them because I am just not good enough with these technical things. Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: LUCKMCFLY on June 09, 2021, 07:57:54 PM I recommend that you use tensorcharts.com, also that platform has the option of the "Volume Profile" and the best of all is that the color of the volume in green means purchases and red is purchases. They also show you the liquidity pools that are formed and you can see the purchase and sales orders in real time.
It seems to me that it is very complete, of course to access all the benefits you have to buy the version so that you have all the premium privileges, but in reality the platform is very powerful. Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: Tytanowy Janusz on June 10, 2021, 03:47:27 PM Just create binance account, generate API key and use Marked data endpoints with few lines of code to collect what you want.
Kline/Candlestick Data: Name Type Mandatory Description symbol STRING YES interval ENUM YES startTime LONG NO endTime LONG NO limit INT NO Default 500; max 1000. https://binance-docs.github.io/apidocs/spot/en/#kline-candlestick-data As you can see you can put 1m or 5m candle as parameter (interval) together with starttime and endtime. There is also "Old Trade Lookup" and "Compressed/Aggregate Trades List" if you need to get data trade by trade. It it might be too much for backtesting simple strategies. Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: ahoenk on June 11, 2021, 10:29:45 PM Try meta trader platform. You can do back test on it. You also can create your own " advisor signal " or even bot. It requaire a little knowledge about programing language. MT4 or MT5 then you connect it to binance API so you can take the market data movement from binance.

But I don't know why you need to compare 20K bars, just go with the chart form then you will get the better idea.Title: Re: where can i backtest my strategies Post by: Mahmoud70 on June 24, 2021, 04:00:48 PM I've been looking for a place to backtest my strategies i used TV but it's giving me just 20k bars, i want something i can backtest for a year or two on a 5m or 1m chart, can I do it without pulling the data and analyzing it?
