Maybe with some old ccminer versions or so. But it is better to start testing and learning with a newer gpu. 2GB is no problem, many stuff out there that can mined with 2GB vram -> verthash -> zilliqa -> equihash 144.5 and so on. I understand you want to learn but for this you need proper gpu like gtx 1660s or rx 470 480 570 580 with 6g-8g. Why you need proper gpu? Gpus are expensive right now so look is good or wait another 1-2months for better price for gpus
