Title: Doesnt Nokia seem like a great buy or is it just me?

With Nokia shifting their focus from phones to 5g network wouldn't it be a great buy in the upcoming 5/10 years?
enlighten me why it's a bad/good buy.

The glory days of Nokia is already done. The competition is already tough for them because there are other brands who have been focused in the modern technology. Although their durability isn't questionable, I've seen them enter into the market with their android phone, the Lumia but didn't gained that much attention.

Well, if you think that your money is going to be worth with the phone they'll make these days and they are not under specced, it's up to you.

NOKIA must build their name again in internet world and not just going back as if nothings happen from the past.

though i must admit that i am once a Dying fan of Nokia but i am very disappointed when they just let the system took over their popularity .

So investing in Nokia is not that advisable but it is your risk that will decide.

Their brand value fell during the smartphone emergence because they didn't compete with the existing and new brands to stay in the competition and later they launched few series but it all went in the vain so if they want they need to start from the scratch like from the budget series if they want people to buy their phones then only they can go for flagship and premium range mobiles.

Telecommunications companies seem to be a great investment at moment. For me Nokia is no exception. The demand for better Internet and telecommunications infrastructure is unchallenged. The data usage every year is increasing, so the networks need to constantly upgrade. Also I noticed that telcos pay pretty high dividends which is also attractive.

The post above mine is quite interesting but I would be very surprised if Nokia rises from the ashes to become a market leader once more. Their golden years were a long time ago, they didn’t move with the times & adapt.

I agree with you, Nokia's heyday is over, now there are brands that are actually better than Nokia. But indeed there are some people who make Nokia
their favorite mobile phone product, that's why Nokia still continues to produce new products. Because they do have their own market, so in the end
we ourselves as users must judge. If Nokia is comfortable to use, the available features are what we want and the price fits our budget, why not buy it.

The debt load they would need to take on in order to compete with larger brands would be enough to kill them. The reality is that they’ve been skating by selling off assets and cashing in on patents for years. They continue to be a weaker company by the year and I don’t see that trend reversing anytime soon.

Yeah and we must admit that Nokia's day has been over and they  will never win back the popularity they have once.

In short , this is not a good idea for investing.

Nokia was my first ever phone back in the days but I haven't tried their android smart phone right now.
But it looks great I wonder if it is still worth it like how it used to be.

5g will only be available in the big country for first, so if Nokia shifted their focus right now, it would make them ready when the 5g technology boomed in all countries. Then, maybe they can sell their phones to the country that already applied 5g while preparing the next product to be sold in the next country. So I think the 5g technology is ready, but the government needs to prepare the infrastructure before it fully functions. So we need to wait for a while before we can use that phones.

It was Nokia when the phones came and captured the market well but as paradigm shift happened from keypad to smart phone this changed the game for them and they just could not be up for it and  the competitors just captured the market well and were ahead of Nokia in the race and Nokia then sort of became history.

It's their best years during the keypad days.

It's just they weren't able to embrace the new technology that has been brought by other brands. But, they were already there but just lacked of the momentum because they thought that they still have the control in the market.

By the way this is not a newspaper article or anything professional, it's just a public forum where people interact so it's a casual discussion. The important thing is whether we can understand the meaning of the sentence or not. ;)

Not related to buying Nokia, but I'm very happy with my Nokia phone :D I probably would have stayed away from them for a few years, but very happy with the one I picked up a year ago.

We had high hopes for Nokia but the final phone was disappointing we can’t deny that it looks absolutely great for the price and we’re fans of Nokia’s decision to stock android but it’s also cut into many corners in internal specs to make it stand out in a highly competitive budget it’s the smartphone market.

Nokia has lost market confidence since a few years ago...

its competitors such as Samsung and Huawei will continue to make it difficult for Nokia to attract market interest because these two products are more in demand now.

Full stops are small but can have a major impact on the meaning of an entire sentence.
Using incorrect grammar and punctuation may make you appear unprofessional, but it is also disrespectful to the community you are addressing.

People are already testing 6g forget about 5g, I think 6g will be like 3g and 4g competition, where 4g data rate is cheaper than 3g. same will happen with 6g and 5g.

Nokia is more than a hundred and fifty years old, so probably it will be around for a bit more.

It was founded on 12 May 1865 in Tampere, Finland.

Even though most people think of Nokia as a phone manufacturer, it has produced a lot of different things, such as toilet paper, rubber boots, respirators, military radios, minicomputers, gas masks, etc. In the 1980s Nokia was the third largest European television maker.

Now they're working on making televisions, air conditioners, laptops, advanced optical devices, and mobile networks for astronauts usage on the moon, among other things.

I'm sure the company will do fine. They have sisu.
