Title: US participation in Launchpads/Incubators/ICO/IDO/IEO
Post by: singinsammy on June 11, 2021, 07:10:23 PM
Hello.

New to crypto. Been studying with every spare moment for the past 3 weeks. I have a handle on my HODLing strategy. I was hoping to play with a little more risk-to-rewards ratio. Day trading won't work for me at this point, I have a job and can't be that available. So I was looking at Launchpads/Incubators/ICO/IDO/IEO.....

.....and every single initial offer that I've come across so far has been prohibited to US residents.

Any of you out there have suggestions on where to look for such projects, which do not prohibit US participation? I tried googling that query with no success.

I suppose I could try token sniping, but the risk seems even greater there and gas fees mean that I could only try a few times before needing to make some profit.

Thanks for your time and insight

Hi mate, Welcome! It's little bit hard i suppose for US Residents especially for IEO, STO, Launchpads & IDO since mostly of that methods require KYC Verification and prohibit US Residents to join but maybe you can try your luck on ICO since the regulation not really strict also try to join on public on DEX like Pancakeswap or Uniswap since it's didn't require any verification.

Thank you! Just looked into pancakeswap it looks promising. Looked into UniSwap too.... is it Unilayer where their launchpad is?

And is that what you meant by 'try your luck on ICO'? Using pancake/uniswap?

I appreciate you!

A lot of IDO platfom no need KYC to join token sale. Beside BSC projects, currently Solana blockchain is getting more populer because this smart contract platform possible to handle up to 50k TPS with lowest fee $0.00001. For BSC project we can join IDO on Bakeryswap and for Solana project we can join on DEX of Raydium, both platform no need KYC.

The only way for you to go to the a non KYC platform that allow its user to participated in the IDO.Sovryn can become your answer but this is a new platform and that depends on your decision.
If you are aiming to participated in another IDO like polkastarter or something else and you will have need to verify your KYC dude.
You didn't have a lot of choice. As someone above said that you must search the non KYC IDO platform.

just follow IDO launchpad there's plenty out there in dex but the reason for US citizen prohibited from following most of ICO and IEO
is because banning on unregulated securities and it took so much effort for a project to figure out all the legal things.
other than that, your only way is just to buy some the coin from IOU platform I guess maybe there's a platform that allows US citizen from buying
but I'm not really sure since there's just too many things need to be taken into consideration, after all it's n IOU but I personally
never tried that, it sounds really complicated dealing with cryptocurrency sale indeed. Other than that you can try to buy a coin that's newly listed in an exchange as you said
token sniping.
