Title: Transfer from binance.us to binance.com
Post by: paraios on June 13, 2021, 02:31:31 AM
Hello,
I have two users, one in binance.com and one in binance.us. Can i buy crypto in binance.us and send them to binance.com without issues? Is it recommended?
I just want to keep using .com and only use .us to buy with USD.

Thank you !

If I understand, by users, you mean you have two separate accounts on the two platforms and wish to know if you can transfer between them?
Are you a U.S citizen, cause I remember U.S citizens had their binance.com account blocked and needed to transfer funds to the U.S based platform.

Can i buy crypto in binance.us and send them to binance.com without issues? Is it recommended?
Yes, ideally transfers can be made between both platforms as normal.

Yes, i have two separate accounts as i have two valid ID’s from different countries. So i’ll use .us to buy and .com to operate as .com is a more complere platform.

Thank you !

Where are you currently residing though? It's not sending the funds from one account to another that you should be afraid of, because it's probably okay to have an account in both exchanges, however, I wouldn't be surprised if one of the accounts gets flagged due to the IP address. Either way, I would highly suggest you write an email to the support team, just to get things cleared out.

Don't contact them. You can't use Binance.com if you are from (or in) the US, so they will just block your account if they find out. Just use your VPN when using .com and you should be good.

edit: .com not .us

Thanks a lot

You used 2 different valid IDs, but details are the same, right?

Like your name, your face on the documents, date of birth etc. Basically you are the same person (a citizen of the US) owning both accounts and one of the platforms clearly states in the Terms of service that they don't want to do any business with a US citizen.

They may not block your binance.com account right now, but with increased activity in the future, they could connect the dots. All I am saying is just be careful. It's no guarantee thing will stay them same for long.

Why would you use both accounts on Binance when everything can be tracked and connected back to you, it doesn't really matter if you are useing vpn or not.
Regulators in United States know all addresses in Binance and you are connecting those addresses with your kyc documentations you sent them during registration in Binance.us.
Binance exchange is also working with tracking analytic companies like CypherTrace so they can track transactions much better than regular people, and  trying to avoid taxes like this won't give you good results.

Alright, that explains it.
I'm not sure of the exact terms of dual citizens, but I would advise you not to store funds for long periods on either of the exchanges. Centralized exchanges own your funds and can flag/restrict you from sending out funds at any time if they find a reason to do so.
Also, if you've not used your accounts in a long time, then do test run in with a small amount first to make sure you can receive and send out successfully.

If I may ask, why not just use a decentralized exchange?

I guess receiving funds to binance.com from binance.us platform is okay it just like a normal transfer, but not advisable on your situation coz they might locked your .com account once detected.

But you could at least send from binance.us to an external wallet you own like electrum or trust wallet then send it to binance.com for your trading purpose, though consider the transaction fee when you transfer from external wallet to binance.com.

No you cant  use Binance.com and Binance.us at the same time.
You can use Binance.us if you are inside the United States and Binance.com when you travel abroad.
If you use Binance.com inside the United States, it will be blocked and using the VPN is a violation because you are prohibited from using it inside the United States.
When you travel, you can safely use the other.

Actually, they force US users from Binance.com to use Binance.us they only allow to transfer funds from Binance.com to Binance.us but they don't allow to transfer from Binance.us to Binance.com.

If you want to transfer something from Binance.us I suggest you convert or exchange them for other coins to get cheap fees and send it to another wallet and then transfer them to Binance.com.

Or withdraw your bitcoin and use a mixer and transfer them to Binance.com so that they can't track your transaction.

This is the first thing that I thought when I read the OP.  The OP must have sent his KYC docs to the .com site, and if he were to trigger an AML investigations they would know where to find him, vpn or not.

@OP, don't fuck around with your funds trying to do something the site isn't meant for.  If you're suspicious about the source of some of your funds, send them through a mixer before sending them to an exchange that has your KYC.  Duh!  VPN, .com, .us, non of that matters, they have your KYC!!

There are some highly trusted, reputable mixers out there, and at least one that I know of can be used for free.

So if I want to transfer from binance.us to any person in binance.com (excluding myself), i won't be able to do it from binance.us?

Afaik, you can if it is indeed owned by a different person and can be proven. But in your case, both accounts are actually yours so the above rules apply. Even if you do it secretly, I can't guarantee whether your 2 accounts will be fine forever. Especially if you have made a lot of withdrawals to the same address.

Thanks

I don't understand why you will have to force yourself on Binance.com. If you are a resident of the US, you are not allowed to use Binance.com. Of course, as others have shared, you can get away with it using VPN. However, as history has proven, Binance may suddenly ask you for a KYC despite not reaching the transaction limit for unverified users.

Now, if you have 2 valid IDs from separate countries, I'm afraid it will only complicate the issue further. Here you are with the same name, birthday, face, and so on and is located in two different countries. That might only trigger more suspicion.

Yes, you can use use Binance.com with a VPN even if you're from the US but that is courting risk, frozen funds, and a locked account.

Assuming you open an account overseas, use documents issued to you in that overseas country to verify you Binance account and trade from there then yes, you won't have any problem.

Trying to use your overseas verified account in the US will subject it first to an IP address block, consistent use of your account may put it in the risk of getting banned/blocked
