I have been heavily developing this, hope everyone likes it and would like any criticism or improvements that could be made! The altcoin is TALK, A crypto chat currently has chats for eth and bsc chains but I plan to expand it as much as possible!

I'm curious as to what made you think people would actually use your platform when there are already existing forums and social media apps like twitter, discord,and telegram which are often used for crypto discussions? I can say for sure that I won't be using it but goodluck.

No encrypted chat does not give the user encryption keys or enable them to generate those keys. What I did was live chat on central servers.
How will the currency be used? Is it just for chatting? If so, it is a token and it must be central because the conversations require high speed in real time.
any way privacy is worth a lot focus on it.

Yes i saw that also in the menu.. Maybe Op want to advertise some projects on that crypto chat, actually it's a good idea in my opinion.. But unfortunately there's a "Bitcointalk forum" and for sure most of the enthusiast will prefer to rely in here. Because all of the topics wherein related to crypto currency is visible here indeed . And lastly there is a bunch of group chat in telegram and in just a simple way they will notified when there's a chat or news, the same with this forum that you can get some notification as well without hassle.. Unlike your seems need visit every day for update..

One of the projects has also pursued this field and still shows no sign of returning, I don't know the project you proposed can do the things that the project I mentioned. But anyway it is still a failed project to my knowledge, and I think this field will hardly have a chance to compete and attract.

Chat platforms are bad to manage. Because messages will be quickly floating and people will not be able to find important notes.

Example is Telegram. You can get the newest pinned message but you have to waste your time to find older pinned messages.
Discord is better because you can create sub channels for Announcements, Important, Tutorials, Community chat, Technical supports, etc.

Your website does not have pinned messages as Telegram or sub channel as Discord. Correct me if I am wrong.

So you are planning to make a new social communication app that is talk a lot about crypto, but isn’t there are many social media platform which has millions of users yet you plan to make one and must be thinking to make an altcoin called TALK. That could be an interesting, I hope for your success if that is your dream. It must be a chat to make an easier use of chatting in crypto and hassle-free.

you have a good idea of making chat platforms in which it is a big help for our diehard supporters and followers to gather some important news and updates of the coins we love though this things are already exist in the main platforms like twitter, telegram, bitcoin forum and other crypto related platform but i still support these kind of initiative.

Appreciate your hard working and interest to make web based chat for users,but it's really ridiculous to see that you're using wordpress for that which looks like just ico scheme, IMHO. Domain is absolutely suitable for that platform, so it'll be best for OP to bulid the platform from scratch with own codes, not just to use any CMS for that.  ;)

I think your motivation is strong and I believe it is good for you. but in order to compete with the existing crypto discussion chats and social media like Twitter, discord, and forums you must be unique from them. I never discourage you for any reason, instead, I encourage you to make it better if possible you can add more features and strengthened its privacy and security function so that crypto enthusiasts will be interested to use it.

To minimize the time you spend just creating a new platform, it is better to spend your time researching the existing altcoins. not that I'm asking you to leave the platform. it's just that it will increase your time so that you yourself will miss the latest news. Think about how many visitors there have been so far? You have to take everything into account. Instead of having to build a platform that doesn't work as it should, it's better to go to the market and trade that will obviously make a profit.

Oh. I'm in love with this. I've always find it hard to put on my excitement on some sudden market movements and there are not many place where crypto enthusiast can talk or just troll. I search for youtube live for chat or even some gambling sites. It would be exciting if more and more people join the chat.
You could also add a recaptcha to prevent bots before placing the first message.

Very simple. I think most of the crypto people are only staying at one chat place like Telegram. I also saw that CMC added a chat feature but I think they later removed it because it didn't gain that much attention that it's needed. But good luck with your chat, this is a good start for you. And if there's a project or token related to this chat room, hoping that you're going to build a good community from it. Because it's hard to attract users from one place to another without any marketing that you'll do or you'll just do it out of organic growth.

I am sure that nobody will be interested in something like that today. There is telegran, whatsapp, slack, discord, etc., where you can talk very quickly, comfortably and safely. And WordPress chat just can't keep up with that

Isn't it much more effective to have provided a popular chat platform on telegram, twitter, etc., whose reach is wider than making a completely ineffective chat platform that is still far from being a global chat platform. This is still too early and not published enough. there are still many shortcomings that would just be a waste of time.

While there are much better chat platforms out there, why create an ineffective one?

Ok so I will try to vaguely answer some of the questions and then later I'll try to respond more individually! To be honest I didn't expect this much of a response so was slow in checking these messages.

First my motivation is that when I joined the crypto community in a sense that I started trying to learn I found a lack of ways to explore reliably within the ecosystem. I know that everyone has a unique experience! Some people probably quickly find their community and can just hop in and that's great for them.

My thought was making a place you could connect without the pressure. So in a sense you can just browse around as crypto # whatever - and let other people be the members/moderators etc as it grows or you can register and try to build and help a little community thrive into a big one.

The token/coin - the idea is it will inevitably cost money to power the back end and moderate as was mentioned many times above. If even a measly 1% of the trades of the coin paid for it I feel I could power this and even leave it as a passive place for people to visit for quite a few years. We all know it costs money to run things - instead of charging anyone I thought first maybe try one of these coins.

I know a lot of people will question my experience and ability to pull off something quite this extreme. I have been developing websites most of my life however I'm a very technical person. I don't always have the "great style and attractive design" but I can generally design very optimized high performing applications.

Part of this is also a learning experience. If it does fail I've learned a LOT and will continue to learn to try and enhance the project. If it can survive for 20 years I'd say that's worth it and that it was a good long lived project. If it lasts for 6 months I can say here's something I tried in this area of the web and it might not have worked but what have I learned from it, and move on. Technology changes quickly - Telegram and other chat mediums ban and suspend accounts just because new users don't know "the ins and outs" of blockchain advertising.

Hopefully people can join this chat and just say "Hey I'm trying to learn about this can someone talk to me or give me a few answers to my questions" and in the end they fall into a community of helpful and caring people. That's why I don't even mind if people invite others to their telegram groups. I'm not trying to get rich and this isn't a grand scheme - it's just something I felt was kind of missing, which is a live chat / shoutbox style chat with lots of people with similar interests.

I'm actually going to be replacing the backend with react but it's in development ! Absolutely a valid point and wordpress should never be a long term goal indeed. I'm just one man right now! Maybe someday with a team I could have produced it from scratch rapidly :)



It's on a dedicated bare metal server, Intel xeon E3-1230v6, 32GB of ram and 2 450 gb nvme drives. Guaranteed 1Gbps in, 500 Mbps Out. I know I really need a lot of power for live chat to stay a viable thing. The software being efficient will also be as important hence switching to react based UI and js backend. For now simplicity was kind of really the key. Progressive enhancement is good in my book but some people see it as weakness.

Ok, I will give it the benefit of the doubt. Chat apps are really good when it comes to real time communication. But there are already tons of messenger and chat apps that already has far more attractive features that would certainly rule the hearts and minds of people, whether engaged in financial stuff or not. You should add more security based features that would add security to each chat room and to prevent certain groups of people to be able to hack and inflitrate chat rooms.

WordPress is already good but the script you are using right now is not what users will feel like a chat site

The link you have mentioned is diverting me to page that says connection is not safe so was not able to get the actual homepage of your site.But I appreciate your efforts that you have build a place to chat about crypto and exchange your views but you need to have proper database in stacks so that message are not messing up and are indicated in unique manner.The main thing is how your backend is designed because using designing in css is somehow easy compared to backend.You can add encryption to the chat box or providing end-to-end encryption private chats like telegram to have some secret discussion or anything that gives you benefit over other social platforms messengers.

Although the intention was good, which I must commend you for that, the website is not easily accessible at all. And with the already existence of the forum and numerous platforms to talk about crypto, you must make this more of an enticement to try so people may actually use it.

We have everything for chatting to discuss about altcoins. I don't understand what difference he makes to us. If OP is talking about live chat or something like that, there we have Telegram and Reddit. Whatever we do must be different than old things and must be interesting. I think, now we don't need anything like chatting.

I agree with you on that as it is a hassle free, and there are so much features too, I like the one that you could not send pictures in certain channels, people just don't stop sending pictures and gifs, whatever they've think of and it's great that discord has this. I was fan of telegram as it is fast but now I have migrated to Discord which allows me to chat comfortably.

If the OP is creating chats for crypto only then He/She is limiting his participants because, unlike messenger and the likes, it is generalized and not just only for crypto chats. You should put this factor, but since you are planning on the start a nice beta test is good for you have room for improvements. If that maybe the case you should hire some beta testers and pays them of their service unless they just wanna explore and give it for free.

Is your website still up? Whenever I open the link it shows Not secure, I was curious about this chat website about crypto probably it would lead to chaos? since every user would try to bump their coin or probably would lead to a lot of spam or probably advertisement. But it would be nice if there's a bot that will filter the spammers to actual users that wanted to have a conversation about crypto.
