Title: QuicklyBTC.com scam exchange
Post by: ovcijisir on June 20, 2021, 03:19:52 PM
I want to expose QuicklyBTC.com scam exchange, that uses old "send me some BTC to recieve huge award" scam.

This is how the scam functions:

1. Person named @Wee Pin contacted me on Discord to tell me that I can claim my 0.8 BTC award on quicklybtc.com website.

He also sent me promo code that I can use to claim it.

2. After registration and entering promo code, there was 0.8 BTC shown on my account :D Lol this can really fool some newbie into thinking he really has that money.

3. The catch - when you try to send BTC funds from exchange to your address you get error message that you need to pay some BTC first:

Of course I didn't pay to those scammers, but I believe that a newbie could really pay when he gets enthusiastic about his winnings.

Conclusion - be extra careful, specially when you get message that you "won" something or can claim money for free. Second - NEVER send BTC to someone you don't know or didn't order something from.

Stay safe and good luck.

I did some more digging and I believe the following information would come in handy when it comes to reporting them to their registrar [Namecheap]:
- In case you still haven't reported them, please do so: Submit a ticket (https://support.namecheap.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit) > Abuse Reports > Fraud > Fill in the needed data.

  • They're nothing but a rip-off:

It's a very common scam running mostly in Discord and Telegram. The fact that it has been going on for a while and is still very rampant to this date implies that the scammers are still ripping off so many victims and so it's lucrative to them.

Of course I didn't pay to those scammers, but I believe that a newbie could really pay when he gets enthusiastic about his winnings.
Yeah, sadly, some newbies whose reasoning is clouded by greed end up getting scammed by this trick.

As long as people will want to make some money without effort scams like this will flourish. At least I hope someone will google this website before they send money to that exchange, and maybe they will see this report.

This scam is also very popular in telegram. I have already exposed this scam a few times because I got offers from scammers like you. They create this website in a way that is very attractive to the newbie, they fall into the trap of getting big rewards by making small deposits so they fall into this trap and lose their money.

You expose this website to warn others that was important at the moment because the number of such scams is increasing. When the market situation is good, the number of such scam websites increases exponentially.

Aside from getting the member perma-banned, some servers are kind enough to publish warnings when situation like this arises as scam DMs are usually mass sent, so if you haven't, report this to your shared servers as well. Don't forget discord too, see How to Properly Report Issues to Trust & Safety (https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000291932-How-to-Properly-Report-Issues-to-Trust-Safety)

Lastly, anyone who wants to minimize scam DMs should consider tweaking their privacy settings, see Blocking & Privacy Settings  (https://support.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/217916488-Blocking-Privacy-Settings-)
