The markets is looking horrible and I know some of you want to hear some fact based words of encouragement. Its hard to comprehend this at the moment. But we have not reached the top of this cycle yet. This looks a lot like 2013 when the market crashed half way through the cycle before continuing upwards. Just check the charts and compare it your self. Bitcoin bull markets end in fireworks not crabbing formations. If you are in then just hodl and do something productive until August. If you aren't in yet, then start DCA'ing. Peace.

patience pays off, you don't have to worry about losses in today's bear market. we are the same as the old holders. If you are a holder then you are not alone. we are with you. there is always a rainbow after the rain, (there is always a bull market, after a bear market).
all run without breaking out of the cycle. be a holder and you will be a millionaire in the future. No success is achieved by instant means, you have to go through hard knocks.

I think we are just paranoid, I believe that the market was still in a good shape, currently, the total market cap settled at $1.345 Trillion dollars see it guys the cap stay in a trillion and also have the $345 Billion buffer zone, and if we compare it during the 2018 market Cap it was 2 times more the size of the Cap in 2018 great crypto winter. that's why keep the faith and relax the best of things is yet to come.

There is always light after the tunnel. What I mean is, everything has an end and everything will change. If the market now is red, after a couple of weeks it will turned to color green. Bearish market will end and we are going to welcome again the bull market. Hope that everyone will always be prepared. Now is the good time to buy and just wait the exact time to sell.

I know its hard for people to take this market condition specially if they bought at the top, but don't lose hope guys since this incident really happen so for better decision to be made just forget your current holdings and try to let it sleep for many years or until bext halving came so that you will not lose and can recover in future.

You need to look back at the price of Bitcoin over the past year, and I believe that to say that Bitcoin is considered terrible today is an understatement at all. don't be paranoid and assume Bitcoin will fall again. we still feel that Bitcoin is fine. Regarding the decline, it is almost surprising, but this phenomenon is not the first time this has happened. In fact, the current decline is still quite reasonable.
no need to exaggerate, Bitcoin will recover in some time to come.

I do think that highs and lows are part of the game and if you are really willing to make a sacrifice and move forth , you need to hold for a long time and forget about the bear market for a while.

See if there was a price burst then ofcourse the people are going to sell which will indeed decrease the price for a while but if you're going to leave bitcoins for such small matters then you should test out your patience somewhere else.

The Volatility is actually beneficial! You can buy more at low and something that guided me though the low times was "you do not loose until you do not encash" which was indeed gold for me.

Do not worry much ! If it went down people will ofc buy, the change in the price might take time but it will happen eventually , even check the past year's success it will all add up ! Just hold.

this is an investment, in every fall there will be a rise, we just need to wait and be patient for prices to stabilize. This is certainly a long process to return prices to their initial levels. stop bitcoin.hopefully the market price will return to normal

The best option is not to celebrate anything because there will be a time when MicroStrategy will book their profit. Right now they are investing heavily but there will be a point where they will be booking their profit. The market situation is not surprising as we are still moving in a range with a support around $30k and the resistance is pretty strong to break and so is the reason the market went down.

There's no reasons to think that Bitcoin is repeating some pattern from the past, because on small timescale these patterns are nothing but market fluctuations. It's generally a good advice to hodl, because it's safer than trading, but buying more coins now, especially if you're already deeply in red, could be irresponsible. Don't forget the main rule of investing - invest only what you can afford to lose.

Holders hold their coins for a reason; it's for long-term gain. this only affects users using BTC for day-to-day transactions.
Don't sell for negative profit, holding time will be wasted, the buying price is still high, you might not get the same quantity of coins if you sell them from panic.

this is not a crash anymore. this is more of a struggle before the launch.
apart from the fact that today's price is 3 times higher then the price of last year, the recent drop that bitcoin experienced that has brought its price to $30k to $40k range has also got it stuck in this range without any more rises or falls outside of it.

in any case if you want to look at the bright side then see how the altcoins that were pumped got dumped hard which is a good thing to keep the market healthy by preventing the altcoin pumpers from taking newbies money.

Look around, the Bitcoin market is considered for me as a healthy one.  Don't panic with all FUD that happened just because of the announcement of China, this is their way to drag down the market and reinvest again since they don't have the power to control the entire market, who knows, one of the biggest whales was come from China, IMO. :D

I don't see any horrible thing right now, but the thing is those people who have followed the FUD and begun panic selling.  That's exactly what I say, just check the previous chart price and you will see that we are in a healthy market if you will compare those previous prices.  Besides, we have no loss if we don't sell our crypto assets during the correction time and don't expect that the market has always had infinite growth, there must a short correction as well.

If your holdings is only on spot, You should not worry since the price will recover in the long run just like what other posted above. Never open any future or margin position at current volatile market since the chance of being liquidated is very high. I read some data that exchange are just squeezing long and short positions before we can move on again on another uptrend cycle.

If you think cryptomarket is stressful during bear market. Just have a break and come whenever your mind is calm.

I know that others are getting stressed of the bear market right now, even if you are an average Joe. The thing is that we have to take it as an opportunity on what we should do the next time we encounter another wave of bear market, or an opportunity to buy at a discount, or just simply accept the fact that you cannot control or decide where the market goes. It's unpredictable and has high volatility, and could go high or low without warning at all. Even though there are some terms such as death cross, etc., that would signal the start of the bearish run, but there are no guarantees that it can be true. Always invest what you can afford to lose along with proper risk management.

Be patient, the market will bounce back after few months but make sure to sell your holding when you get a chance, otherwise you will have to wait for a bit longer to earn big. At the moment Holding is the only option for the investors.

Situations like this are certainly able to test our patience, where those who believe in holding on to it will produce success for the patience that is applied.  for those who panic to face the current bear market like heroes who died on the battlefield who can't carry their dignity, and for those who hold fast in the face of market cycles like this will certainly achieve success in the future

The current market situation is not new to old players in the cryptocurrency market take the 2017-2018 Bitcoin market where the price went down up to 800%, the only suitable word in the situation is to hodle.

That's right. But this shouldn't be a financial advice and people should still do their own research and do what they want to do. I also believe that the market, specially bitcoin market has, isn't on its real value. It is far far away from it for now. So keep your heads up if you're too negative about it, I would suggest not to sell your bitcoins if you have a negative ROI for btc.

And for the OP to think about the situation, the adoption today is very different than in previous years. There are so many organizations and top companies (financial institutions) that are heavily invested in crypto. Also, consider PayPal and Tesla as some of the companies that are integrating crypto in their payment system. And now, I believe, there are a lot more companies that are integrating crypto in their payment system owed to pandemic. So if you are discourage of what's happening in the market, think of the increasing adoption of crypto usage. And in the next coming years, it will further increase. So be patient, and sooner you will see the light at the end of this tunnel.

Hodling will always be the best option if you don't want to go on panic selling in this market crash and you prefer to keep safe all of your coins. You won't experience losses of course if you never decide to sell your coins unlike those who end up panic selling because of fear seeing their investment consistently falling their value.

I prefer to stay calm and positive in this time of market crash. Crypto will never come up with bullish season if we cannot survive from this long bearish season. So we should learn to be used from it and start living with it too.

It's not as horrible as the last crash we had back in 2017. And it's not the first time we are seeing something like this. Most of the people were already expecting this crash and it was long overdue. Those who are selling are going to regret in the future. Currently seeing the "death cross" FUD being spread. We probably might have reached the death cross, but selling due to this won't get you anywhere (unless you no longer can risk and want to get out). The value has already reached $32,000. Buy as much as you can afford to maximize your profit. And what makes you confident that we are going to see a bull run on August?

Like you said, everyone should look for something else and be productive. Bitcoin will go up again, but I don’t think it is going to be anytime soon. We don’t know when exactly it’s going to be that the price of Bitcoin will go up, but we know that it will. But at the moment we should be looking for things that we will be doing for now.

If you have something else to focus on you wouldn’t worry yourself much about cryptocurrency, you will be able to have the patience that is needed, and do other things while you wait for the price to go up again. We have seen a lot of analysis that predicted over hundred thousand dollars. I don’t think that’s something that’s going to happen anytime soon.

Erm, one question if I may: you said just hodl and do something productive until August. Could you please be so kind and also add the specific year you are referring to? Are we talking August 2023 or August 2024?^^

To be honest I don't think we will fully bounce back within this year if this turns out to be one of those major crashes like around 2015 and 2018. It is going to take time because a lot of (mostly retail) investors will have burnt their fingers. They won't just fire another bullet at it within two months of time. Right now it doesn't look very good. I'd be surprised if this is all because of the Chinese crack down because it's quite some time ago the market paid so much attention to what happens in China.

I have noticed that the picture is drawn like this. China is not interested in bitcoin now its plan is to launch the digital Yuan as the First CBDC in the world so it does not want any competition.
It is bad news for crypto enthusiasts in China who are a large community that live with so many impositions that they shorten their freedom in choosing to invest in bitcoin.

On the other hand, it is a great opportunity for other nations to embrace bitcoin and build more cryptomining around the world and free ourselves from the power of China.

Market crash is a common scenario to be happening in this industry so you have nothing to be worried about since many of us have already experienced and survived those market crashes that brought up us into this current position we are having as of this moment. The market will not always be bearish. The market falls to rise to higher levels. Bitcoin will create a new ATH again and that will make the crypto world even more volatile.

A market crash like today is a very good opportunity to buy, even if stuck at higher prices, holding will be better than having to sell in these circumstances. Panic will only make a person lose. remain positive and believe that the market will recover.

I think what makes investors feel afraid during those crashes is that they don't exactly know what's going on. Sometimes it looks like somebody else knows more than others do, but that turned out to be wrong every single time. When the market is so high and so heated up, even tiny news are enough to get the ball rolling down the hill. That is probably what happened here with the bad news coming from China in regards to shutting down the mining industry. I am also confident it will recover although it could take some time.

Too late, the market crash has been since several weeks ago, the market dropped more than -50% and my assets are also.
Yeah, this is a bad thing to know what still happens to the crypto market right now, the bloodbath doesn't end yet. the price of all cryptos is decreasing. It seems like only rising up +5% and then falling down more than -10%  ;D
Moreover, the BTC price is also dropped very drastically until only $29k, this really influences altcoins price to be worse.
And yeah of course, for me, no need for another solution, only HOLD is the best way because I was too late to cut loss, so, this is not my choice right now.

A few years ago we also encountered scenes like today. It was worse than now. We have survived that moment. Now it’s just a short correction. Market crash is not unusual in crypto, we cant expect the price to move upward consistently since the market is high volatile and thats how it works. Remember you're not losing anything unless you sell your coins so dont feel bad seeing your assets declining because its a normal cycle in crypto. You can also track the past history to see how many percentage your coins gained already (assuming you're holding a major coins) from the time it was launch.

Forget for a while the current situation of the market and let yourself busy into other activities.

This "crash" that you are talking about isn't that drastic as the crash back in 2018 so I don't think that we will be needing those encouragement right now, we are just so privileged right now that a dump like this is making us crazy.

The problem is most investors now are looking at daily, weekly, and at most monthly charts or market trends without looking at the big picture. If we really look at Bitcoin price based on how you posted it here, most investors would realize that investing in Bitcoin at any time will eventually still put you in profits even though investing in it at a lower price is more profitable hence all this FUD to drag the price down by whales and Institutions.

maybe at this time all of us investments feel very sad about what has happened to bitcoin lately. I hope the price will go up again as before. of course this will increase our motivation to move on to be better. don't ever be discouraged by the things that are happening at this time. with a price drop that is quite heavy for this time. we can also still invest by buying it first

I think the reason that they think that it's horrible is probably because their perspective and expectation of the prices continues to change which is inevitable but at the same time stupid. Although they are innocent though because these people that think that this is the worst hasn't been in the market for too long and this is the lowest that they can think of.

We all need a word of encouragement from other so that we can spread positivity regardless of the situation. Your optimism can be the thing that will help other people stay faithful and firm with their holdings. Bitcoin might be down right now but we all know sooner or later, it will not just recover instead it will break new ATH's that are far greater than what we are expecting or imaging. It is a risk investing in crypto so it is important that one commits to a healthy and positive mind so that he can have the courage to take the risk and persevere in his goals always.

Some just don't really see the bigger picture at all. There are those claiming that they are long-term hodlers but they are looking  for short-term movements of the price. :D
In 2019, I saw that the price was like around 4k but turned out to be rebounding back to 10k anyway.

I agree with the author, including because the current price of bitcoin is much higher than the peak in 2017. I see in this market that the value of falling or going up is a very normal rule, the most important thing is whether you have enough patience to wait for the price to recover or you are panic selling, selling at a loss. in this moment of the downtrend market.if you are a long term investor always keep a cool head because you have nothing to fear . It may be partly due to the bad news about China that doesn't allow bitcoin miners anymore, but it's also very good news that a lot of places accept bitcoin as a payment currency. This crash days gives us more possibility than normal time so if you don't lose your passion when these days off you will be success.

If this market is shaking you off then you have not seen the worse part also and those who have survived it and still holding their coins they don't need any motivation or encouragement because they have some brave heart already from past.You just checked how many times btc have been declared dead and how many huge market dumps we have seen and now still trading above $34k and tell you still feel horrible about this?Those who have invested at say $3k in 2017 only doesn't feel sad about this and still feeling good now and hoping it to be cross $50k to have huge profits on their bucket.You just invested at peak or high and your first time and that's why you feel disappointed about this and slowly you will also join holders it you have patience otherwise panic sellers are waiting.

I don't feel bad. Winter will definitely pass, and it will not be a long winter forever. This is the time to test you, to see if your patience, your persistence, can get the corresponding return. Since we are still on the phase where bitcoins hasn't get to the list of top 10 used currency in the worlds, we still lack some popularity to make it happen and the result is something like what the market is experiencing where the price is unstable. by the way when bitcoins reached its final ATH where people doesn't really listen on those negative things they tweet about bitcoins, that will gonna happen. right now what we have to do is make ourselves familiar with the current market situation so that when something like a bearish trend would happen again, we won't lose some opportunity but instead we take advantage of it to invest to further push it back and to begin the bull run again.

I agree with you and by now for all the old-timers in the system, I would say it is really a no-brainer what people should be doing in times like this with regards to the price dips. As you said, if you have been in the market for quite some years this must have been a familiar occurrence and we know that Bitcoin prices always recover and even get to a new ATH anytime this kind of correction happens and I believe this will hopefully go that way too.   

On times like these then emotion would be your main enemy and we dont really need some sort of encouragement but rather try to look at on how far we've able to reach out.

Dont let yourself get drag on with the market crash because if you've been on this market for a while then you cant really be easily be affected compared to those who had just recently dive in.

It might sounds simple but it isnt really easily to be done because it will really be playing out your emotion and mindset.If you are really prepared and serious with volatility issues

Yeah, that's a way one can get his portfolio remain strong even when the market is getting into the bearish trend. As of now we don't know when the market turns bearish and when getting into the bull trend.

We need to be active and should have the understanding not to fall for panic waves and to stay strong hodling it. If not if you find the market is turning bearish sell it against USDT and do buyback at a lower price making your portfolio even stronger.

I try not to pay much attention to the price ( but still keep up to date with what is happening in the crypto space just not to be left out on a vital information especially with regards to my investment) so I focus more on my job to distract me and stop me from checking coingecko every 5 minutes,  understanding that this time is part of the market cycle and also necessary for the overall growth of the market also helps to ease the tension a bit, because it will help you understand the market will also recover at some point and make everyone smile again  :)

Market crash has been a staple event in the cryptocurrency industry, and this is not the first time or even the biggest or worst crash bitcoin has ever experienced in its decade-long run as the leading coin in the market. To say that this will be the end of bitcoin as a cryptocurrency is not only untrue, but also generic as a lot of people had already told bitcoin will die off in the past crashes we had, but still we have yet to have a crash that will really put the coin to rest. So just sit tight, and hold what you can weather.

What's with the August? I've seen I think a couple of post that there's something that will happen good by the month of August. But OP is right that we must continue to buy bitcoin and save as much in your own portfolio before another greater bull run comes out.
It's the essence why we're keep on saving bitcoin because every market cycle, there's a likelihood that it will imitate the past.

the price is still above $28000, as long as the price does not fall below 28000$ there is no reason for people to be worried, the problem will be if the price falls below $28000, if one day this happens then we will see a bloodbath until at $20,000 - $22,000. but as most people do hodl then there is no reason to worry, even if the price drops below $28,000 (something impossible in my opinion), people who do hodl will not be worried, they are doing hodl for the next 5 years old

Keeping our faith is a very tough decision to do, because we're always having that mindset of acquiring our profit in a shorter and quicker time. But when this market downfall came, there's no option to do and we're really force to hold long term. Cashing out that money if you don't need in emergency is not worthy, so better let it stay in crypto or regret by the time crypto goes back on green market.

When emotion sets in then that faith of yours would be really be mainly affected which would result into sudden change of decisions and i can really attest to that all of us did really experience the same thing.
Market cant really be predicted no matter how good you are on making analysis and when you dont have sufficient knowledge on this market then most likely you would really be that impulsive when it comes on
making decision towards your trades and the key on minimizing those kind of emotions is on gaining on experience, you wont really be that affected much but still not 100% but at least
you are aware on how market behaves and react accordingly with the situation specially on dumping times.
