I always find it funny when people are not realizing the difference between their target in life and others, some are even at these prices selling coins at a profit, some would be amazed how many think that this whole downtrend is too much for them, they've already made 3x, not going to waste another 3-4 years for 6x, need a car and hooker money now, not years from now!

Well you have answered you questions, those weak hands are selling, but you can't blame them? Maybe they thought that it's better to sell right now and not wait for the price to dip at $20k. In any case, you need to calm down mate, if you buy at the top price then all you have to do is wait for the price to go back again, simply as that. ;D

And not to mention that some people have earned through signature campaigns and just hodl it, so basically even if they sell now, they're still getting free money no matter what.

Maybe the question is why everyone is not buying at this point? The price dip again to $32k, meaning the price is at a discounted price. And there are many reasons why people want to sell, maybe they really needed some money right now in this pandemic or they want to gamble. Don't who don't want to be in this game are probably those people who invested in the wrong reasons.

Although Bitcoin is the most profitable asset of the last 10 years, there are many people who have lost money with it. They are the ones who bought at $60K and are selling now. Or those who years ago bought at $100 and then sold at $40. A lot of people don't see the big picture and get caught up in emotions.

This is what happen when you buy at the ATH and the price dips to more than 50% you start blaming everyone for selling. Just so you know not everyone is selling but you got to know most of the traders will take profit. Look at it as if the take their share before somebody else take it. 

You'll find your treasure next bullrun so dont forget to take profit and witness someone else post like what you did today.

Calm down bro. People out there sold their bitcoin because of fear and worried if bitcoin is down below $30k. But we already saw the price reach below $30k before and now, the price is back to $34k. Hopefully, it will stay like that until the end of this week and in the next week, the price will start to increase and break $35k-$37k. Bitcoin really needs to hold the mass-selling from the people, and I am sure that bitcoin can do that. This correction can continue if there is a bad news release again.

I seriously suspect that BTC price is hammered down using fraudulent NONEXISTENT dollar spoofs called USDT.

Starting to look eerily like what has been going on in gold and silver prices for a long time now.

Only thing is that using USDT to manipulate BTC price works far less that using USD to manipulate gold price, and hence will not succeed in the long run.

You dont know the reason why they are selling , perhaps some personal reasons. That is why selling at bearish price seems no choice for them. However, I wouldn't be panicking like others. Ive seen this scene before, downward movements for few months until it will accumulate strong reason for it to goes up again. As we saw new ATH for bitcoin before it dump, if the market will recover it will surpass that ATH again.

Dude at what price did you buy Bitcoin? And did you go all-in on it or diversifying it to other crypto assets? if you bought it during the time Bitcoin is rallying, I think this is how you feel right now. First of all, I would blame China for most of the dumping due to their continuous crackdown on Bitcoin mining (as some of them have moved their mining rigs to Kazakhstan. This is truly the main reason why most of them are panic selling, but this is just temporary.

Think of Bitcoin as a long term investment. In 2018, we all thought that this was the end of Bitcoin and it may not go even higher than $20 anymore, but last year Bitcoin proved us wrong. So don’t worry about it man, try not to look at the price for a long while and instead focus on something that will make you productive.

This is why I buy only once in while but after seeing that the market is at bottom rates. I never rush or never buy when market is in bullish trend and don't go FOMO about it. Thats what I learnt all through these years. Perhaps, I'm also average wagering man so I always save money first and then only invest money which I don't need for me or my family.

That way you don't go crazy shit like this. Because you know the money is already the one I don't need anyways.  :D

Its not good to buy at rush also not good to buy at the peak thats why we need constant planning on when we execute our buy since this could save us from possible losing if we analyze carefully our possible position. But I decide to buy right now but in small fractions just to see if I hit the right spot and can do another action.

The people that have sold recently must be shaking their beds right now because the prices climbed back in prices already and I think that it's pretty sad that they sold at a panic prices and now they have to buy at a big loss, hopefully they will learn something from it.

Not all who sold are panic sellers, some are short sellers. They sell at the most convenient range, and buy when it dumps close to the support level.
Not everyone is willing to learn anyway since a lot of new comers wants to make a quick buck and get rich quick over night investments. Those are the type of people who would quickly sell when Btc is declining.

So, when Bitcoin is rising very fast, it's all organic growth and a result of mass adoption, but when it's falling after that, Bitcoiners start looking for manipulators, coordinated attacks and "weak-handed traitors". Why it's so hard to acknowledge a simple fact that what rises fast also falls fast? Bitcoin had a bubble, just like many times in the past, there's absolutely nothing out of ordinary going on.

Unreasonable falls (and rises) are manipulation not the reasonable ones. For example when price fell from above $60k to the $50k range that was a perfectly healthy price action because it was a correction after a series of big rises. If anyone calls that market manipulation they are wrong.
But when price falls from $60k+ to $28k for no reason apart from a lot of FUDs and irrelevant negative news then it is market manipulation.

P.S. $60k was not even close to being a bubble.

But my point still stands, the prices did go up and the people who sold at a lower price than that is waiting for it to go down a little bit on their target price because getting back in would probably cost them some more if they want to get back the same amount of bitcoin.

calm down buddy, the current price is still quite high compared to the price at the beginning of the year, or 2020. you just have to look at it from the other side. if you get stuck at a high price, you have to be patient, because you're not the only one stuck on a high price. Well, I'm also stressed about this situation, but we need to be patient, friends. the choice is to sell now or stay in the current state.

OP is another guy who bought bitcoin on the top. He bought when Bitcoin reached ATH around $64000, then blame all people who sold their bitcoin and make bitcoin price falling. There is nothing wrong about selling, because almost all people are trader not investor. You can't blame them just because they selling their own coin

Just chill and relax mate i know how you feel right now because lately bitcoin really shown a great green percentage and everyone was shocked, but unfortunately it restart now and turn to red again. I know most of investors are disappointed right now especially those who buy immediately and expecting it will constantly increase because of what improvements it made during the day which still bleeding because of some negative news from china.  just imagine it made bump from 30k to 34k and now it gradually decreasing, and even me i don't know exactly what's is going on. +17% and suddenly turn into negative 2.7% ? .. In any case, the OP should remain calm, weak hands have sold, so this is nothing out of the ordinary, maybe we have reach the peak in $64k and that's why people are selling because of the uncertainty in the market today.

Agree, if you sold and you can make profit then you might as well sell it. I think that there's nothing wrong with that, especially if you are trying to cut losses then might as well cut it before getting a bigger losses.

OP, you should be asking, “who the hell is BUYING”? Anyone selling today is more Bitcoin that goes to the billionaires for HODLing, never to be seen in market again for maybe a minimum of five years. The crash from ATH is different than the crashes of 2013, and 2017. The market is currently more liquid. Who is providing the liquidity on the bid side?

they sold bitcoin without stopping since two moth at latest but in , the market suffer from selling big sommes of bitcoin , for sure the reason is whales ,they want buy more bitcoin , the big problem is when market drop , traders sells too , traders should not sell at these cheap prices because bitcoin will rise again more than percent of drop , but in cryptocurrency everyone need patience , then little of hope and why not the bull run will come back again and price to reach another highs level

Lol pretty aggressive over nothing.  This is normal in crypto or any market.  There are ups and downs, bears and bulls.  If someone feels a good trade opportunity exist by selling here and either holding to buy back in lower or booking profits from this insane run then it would make sense for them.

Sure, you could have sold at ~$60k, and that would have been the absolute, 100% perfect time to sell all bitcoin. But even at ~$30k or even $10k it's still a great time to sell bitcoin. In fact, as long as it's worth anything, people should be selling it because it's eventually going to trend to $0 or very close to it. Who is selling? Everyone who knows this confirmed fact.

Chill, mate. You shouldn't be this much angry. Of course, we all don't like panic sellers etc. . But there will always be this kind of people. Because every day, new investors show up in the market. And most of them lack knowledge about this market. So, they panic sell when they see the price coming down sharply. They are one of the big factors causing this fall.

Do not forget smart traders, they sell at the 40k price because it is not going up any further but they also buy when it goes lower so they could profit. Think about it this way, what happens when there is a good amount of increase? People who bought at low makes a profit, so why wouldn't traders be happy that it went to 30k price? They are the ones who take it to 40k anyway so they are quite happy with the movement.

I do know that this prevents it from going over 40k easily because people sell there, but it also prevents it from going under 30k as well, if bitcoin market really wanted to we could have been under 30k and then go over 40k back to back by now, we have that talent, we just wanted to go up and down here to make a profit. We reached 30k before, and we reached 40k after that, similar things and I think that will happen again.

There are really people whom do really think that selling is always a bad idea without minding that there are different traders or investors into this market which would eventually make out necessary steps for them to take advantage out of this market because basing up with experience you would eventually find out on what are the best things on specific period of time on where you could really make profit the most.

My guess is those who bought in at $50,000 and over hoping the price would double in twelve months (off the back of dubious threads such as this one) and are now feeling the all too very real pain that goes with knowing what goes up will always, at some point, go down.

Bitcoin isn't mean to be a store of wealth - its value is as a means of securely making online, one way payments with proof of that payment recorded via the block-chain.

People who need money will sell, gamblers and speculators who want action on command, anyone who hoped to receive back their money in a similar fashion to prior months this year will now be selling where as the more long term perspective holders will retain more patience.
   Always expect selling, literally every day expect a trader to buy then sell as he begins then closes his session because alot of the money is borrowed for the trade not the hold.  The waves back and forth are normal as part of that, add on any bad news and normal amounts of selling and theres always great reasoning for us to go down.    I expect sell like I expect the rain, sometimes we can grow despite, even because of the selling and dollar remains weak but theres a whole asset range in the market to compete with returns vs just crypto.

Who the f*ck is selling? Obviously those who already made enough profit or at least their investment already multipled times so they think it's the time to cashed out.

Besides those people, panic people sell their bitcoin at a downtime without thinking that it is just temporary and the price will be back to the high price. They are panic because reading about the bad news and think that the situation will become worst.

Hopefully, they will not do that again, instead of buying more bitcoin when the price is down, so they can accumulate more bitcoin in their wallet and ready to sell it at a high price. It needs more patience to handle the emotion, not to panic because of the bad news.

People are selling for profit or when they need money badly, there are millions of holders and each of them has reasons of their own, if they are selling then let them be, we cannot stop people from selling and we don't care what are these reasons, I sometimes sell but it is when I am already on profit and I badly needed money, it's something we have no control.

Most of this type of question are asked mostly from those angry why the continue selling are putting them at lost as they can't join the trend because they'll be losing more if they do. But other times, this question are from concerned users as the selling only put the sellers at lost that they may regret in the nearest future.

We're advice to only put funds we'll be ok losing that's to help in situation like this, if you have invested funds you need urgently then you can watch them lose value and will be forced to sell to cut losses but if you invested funds that won't cost you to think knowing you still have what you bought but just the dollars value is decreasing then you'll be ok and patience enough to hold through the trying times.

There is mostly selling going on for more than a month now. Newbies who entered in crypto in this year might not able to understand how this works. Experienced people like us have seen long bear markets and are not effected by current bitcoin moves.

Whales do sell bitcoins and then buy back cheap and then sell again. It will take a lot of time for the new comers to understand how crypto works.

Agree, let them have their way, they are the reason why the market is still active, there are people who sell and those who buy. That's what my mentor told me in terms of investing, don't wait for too long but you also have to take some profit from time to time.

Well they have thier own decision of selling if they sell then it's up to them, you are right the one who sell is the weak hands or anyone who needs funds for thier needs, and i think there is no issue about it, it is thier decision as a holder of thier own investment so they can sell it anytime of the day. The only thing we can do is to buy those low at price not only btc but also altcoins to gain a profit from the weak hands.

Yeah, Majority of people in crypto markets are overly concerned about short term price swings especially if its a downside move. When price goes up in an epic way, you won't hear complains from anybody but whenever the reverse is the case, people keep asking about who's selling or what is keeping market down. Crypto markets had a really epic run that saw many projects 10x. Bitcoin did over 20x from march 2020 flash sale. Eth did over 30x from same said date. No one is talking about those now.


I don't see any reason why people would expect market to always go up and up only.
