Title: Question on sending BNB to Metamask Bsc Chain
Post by: ROGERTHAT777 on June 25, 2021, 02:36:21 AM
I have a metamsk with both the ERC and the BSC chain set up.  I want to buy elonspace and store it in my metamask.  You buy it with BNB.  If I buy the BNB on binance.us do I buy the black bsc or the yellow BNB to send to metamask.  Is the swap to bsc done on the metmask side? I don't want to buy the wrong BNB and then not be able to swap it to bsc before or after.

Do I have to import a separate "bsc" address on metamask in order to see it or will it just turn into bsc? The elonspace is on pancake whicn I can connect with the metamask.  Is there a better reason to do it on trust wallet? I don't want to lose fees by just buying the bnb on the trust wallet with simplex taking a fee.  thanks.

I don't know which color represents the BEP-20 (BSC) or the native BNB chain because I don't use that exchange. One of the things you could do is find out the address format of the two by clicking on deposit on your BNB binance.use account. You should be able to see the deposit address after that. If it starts with 0X..., that's the BEP-20 (BSC). If it starts with bnb....., that's for the native chain. You should know which one to buy.

Do I have to import a separate "bsc" address on metamask in order to see it or will it just turn into bsc?
No, one wallet is enough. All deposited bep-20 tokens will appear on your wallet. Some automatically like BNB (bep-20) while others need to be added manually like elonspace (most likely).

I don't think it's complicated simply add smartcontract the token you want to buy or store it in and conduct the transaction.
Maybe you might need to read about some of the uses:

I am not really sure how this would help but I do found a video tutorial on how you can buy elonspace using trustwallet and pancakeswap. Just like any other decentralised exchange, you need to have ETH and BNB in order to successfully swap BNB to elonspace. You just need to import the correct contract address in the ETH wallet your are using (Metamask or Trustwallet)

It will never be BSC. There is no BSC token. Its BNB. You just withdraw BNb to your BSC address and it will be shown in your metamask as BNB that you will be able to use to trade on BSC dexes

There is only 1 BNB. You buy bnb on biannce.us and withdraw it using BEP20 (BSC) option. This one:

I think there is no confusion here. Even with using bsc wallet, you just need to change the network to bsc ans thats it. If your tokeb bought is on bsc then used that network if you change to eth network it be gone causw it is not recorded on that network. Its like changing which protocol you are using considering you have the same address used hence different blockchain.

Binance Smart Chain (BSC), Ethereum, Huobi Smart Chain use Ethereum network addresses. You just need to have 1 Ethereum address, and use the wallet to switch to any blockchains from this list
https://chainlist.org/
This is a security issue. If your seed phrase is stolen, then you will lose money in all blockchains.
Use a hardware wallet

Check the format of the address when outputting
0xXXXXXXXXXXXX ..

Binance Chain (BNB) BEP2 wallet starts with bnb ...

If you are on metamask, you can just use the same address to send and receive ERC token/ETH and BSC tokens. You need to change the network you are on to work with each network. Ethereum and it's token would be visible on ethereum network and BSC coins would be visible in BSC network. Other than that, the two types of coins/tokens don't interact and transferring value between them should be done with using bridge or centralized exchanges.

For binance, there will be an option to select the chain for withdrawing BNB to personal wallet. Many time, system automatically select the bsc/bep20 chain. If that’s not happen, tham simply select that and black bnb is the right one for BSC/Bep20 BNB and Yellow one for Bep2 BNB.  ;)

Is there a better reason to do it on trust wallet?

Maybe, simplicity could be the reason as anyone can import ethereum wallet as BSC on trustwallet by using the private key or memoric phrase. Also, it'll automatically connect into pancakeswap if permission is given and use to use for all.

So you want have BSC / smart chain in your metamask right ? if you already set up your metamask network from ethereum mainnet to smartchain then you already on binance smartchain on your metamask you can received bnb token (BEP20) from your eth address .

BNB address start 1bnbxx and bsc address same with eth address.you can receive bep20 token ( token based bsc ) on your eth address . and access it with smartchain network on you metamask.
